It's been a long time coming but.... it's been a crazy few years for miss Taylor Swift. She's dropped hint after hint, easter egg after easter egg, song after song, music video after music video!! She's truly a great entertainer and artist, and genuinely one of my favorite musicians to fangirl over.

I got tickets to Taylor Swift's Era's tour, and am trying to decide what era I should go as. . I can't wait to see what Taylor Swift's concert outfits are for this tour!

What do I wear to a Taylor Swift concert? Especially to the Eras tour?

Attendees are planning to wear outfits inspired by their favorite Taylor Swift era. There are ten eras total: Taylor Swift (Self-Titled), Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, and Midnights. Each era has its own vibe, color aesthetic, and specific pieces Taylor wore during those periods. For example, Reputation is an absolute classic, with snake print, black leather, and tons of sass. Or maybe the Red era? I mean, that one IS my favorite Taylor Swift album. Come as a sad autumn girl with a red scarf, black high-waisted shorts and oxfords— that's definitely a vibe.

But as I was thinking through this, I thought maybe I could make mood boards and help others find the perfect Taylor Swift outfits from amazon to wear to Taylor Swift's concert on her The Eras Tour! I assure you, while putting this list together, with each era I worked on I listened to the album ;) Guaranteed inspiration!

Because of each stadium's bag policy, concert-goers need to bring a clear see-through bag to the venue. Here are a few realyl cute ones I've found. The first is pretty simple, but you can find clear bags that are really stylized to fit your eras tour outfit!

I'm also seeing a lot of people at Taylor Swift's concerts wearing body glitter and hair gems! Here are some options online that are great for doing glitzy hair and makeup the day of the Eras tour concert. The hair gem style has been SUPER popular, and you'll find a lot of other gals at the tour that are rocking similar!

The Tortured poets Department (TTPD) Era

Blondie's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," not only captivates with its haunting melodies and introspective lyrics but also showcases a distinct fashion style and creative direction that I absolutely love. Drawing inspiration from the album's themes of introspection, longing, and poetic melancholy, Swift's fashion aesthetic exudes a sense of timeless elegance fused with dangerous edge. She's been donning a mix of vintage-inspired pieces and modern silhouettes, often layered with intricate details like lace, embroidery, and statement accessories.

How to dress in Taylor Swift's TTPD era outfits

To capture Taylor Swift's "The Tortured Poets Department" era style, channel a blend of romanticism and vintage flair. Taylor has established a very dark, romantic and victorian feel for this era, both in her promo photos and videos, but also her new set at the Eras tour (premiered in Paris, May 2024).

If you want to come to the concert the MOST prepared, you can dress like the current Era: the Eras era! Pretty meta, right? Here are some of the outfits that Taylor's been wearing on her tour that you can recreate in your concert outfit:

Stage outfit 1— Midnights era Lavender Haze jacket

Taylor wears a pink/lavender sparkly dress with a fun faux-fur lavender coat. You can find a super sparkly dress and add a lavender faux fur coat, and look just like Taylor!

Stage outfit 2— Evermore era pink dress

Taylor's whimsical pink dress during her Evermore era is GORGEOUS. Play up your own ethereal vibe and wear a similar dress to the Eras tour!

Stage outfit 3— Reputation era jumpsuit

Taylor wears this awesome one-legged jumpsuit with red snakes all over it. You can buy a black sparkly jumpsuit and attach red snake appliqués to create a look similar to it.

The RED era (my favorite!) has Taylor donning a long red sparkle trench coat. You can look similar to this in either this red velvet long trench I've found, or a men's sparkly suit jacket!

Stage outfit 5— "A LOT Going On At The Moment" shirt

She's reinvented her own RED era look with a shirt that instead of saying "Not a lot going on at the moment" it says "A LOT going on at the moment"! I've found a shirt that says exactly that new phrase on Amazon. Taylor also pairs it with a pair of sparkly black bottoms and a black hat.

Stage outfit 6— 1989 era green two piece

Arguably the best Taylor Swift album, hands down. RED is my personal favorite from her discography, mostly because this is the era where I because a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, rather than just a casual listener. All of the raw pain and anguish in this album make this era (and the TV era!) probably what I'm going to choose for the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour!

This era probably has some of the most iconic fashion moments of Taylor Swift's career. The Taylor Swift red tour outfits were amazing. The "We Are Never Ever Ever Getting Back Together" and "22" looks just scream 2012! Now ten years later in 2022, this style is still just as amazing and showstoppping... and iconically RED . Try to find a good striped shirt and some tailored high waisted shorts, and add a pair of red Keds to complete the look!

A HUGE era for Taylor, commercially and her tour! She has so many fun and glitzy looks from this 1989 era. I pulled some Taylor Swift tour costumes from amazon that will make people double-take.... wait, is that Taylor Swift?? No? Shake it off!

How to dress in Taylor Swift 1989 era outfits

Be sure to wear plenty of sequins, shiny fabrics, and two-piece outfits for a true 1989 era look from Taylor Swift! Add on the quintessential white rayon-type sunglasses to look like a true 1989 fan.

One of these outfits is a callback to Taylor's look at the 2016 Grammy Awards. I think it's such a unique outfit to wear to the Era's tour, because it's not exactly a "era" look, but something SO iconic from that era! Also, can you GET more 1989 than a pair of white rayon sunglasses? They were a staple piece in Taylor Swift's 1989 era.

This era is the most similar to my own personal style, so when I attended the Rep tour, I was living my best life!! All her songs have a pop edge to them, so make sure to dress accordingly.

Wear as much snake print, black, fishnet, and combat-wear you can find. The more you look like a hell-raiser, the better for Taylor Swift reputation outfits. I've added in a few cool amazon t-shirts in here as well from the era!

Pink, lots of pink. Actually, all pink. Just kidding! I put together some outfit ideas that are inspired by some of her performance looks and music video outfits from the Lover era.

The Taylor Swift Lover vibe: Lots of pink, multicolor, fringe, pearls, iridescence, hearts, and sweetness all around.

Grab a hot pink jacket and pearl sunglasses to look like Taylor from "You Need to Calm Down"! Choosing to wear a pastel sky print is such a Lover look, similar to her album cover!

Makeup for your Lover eras tour outfit

If you're wanting to dress up as Taylor's Lover era, it's a sweet detail to do the heart shape makeup over her eye like she does on her album cover! In order to do that, you'll need two main items: liquid latex and skin-safe pink glitter. You can find them here:

I've used the liquid latex above before and it works really well. All you'll need to do is outline the heart around your eye with the liquid latex, wait for it to get tacky, and then apply the pink glitter!

Folklore Era

If you aren't the sparkly-dress Taylor Swift fan, and want to be a sad cottage-core girl, here is your chance! This album screams alone-in-the-woods-and-in-the-feels.

Tap into the cottage-core look and opt for some comfy sweaters, cardigans, and ditsy floral prints. I've grabbed a few items that look similar to the outfits she wore on some of her photoshoots from this era.

Evermore Era

Am I crazy to say that Evermore is one of my favorite TSwift albums? It's definitely the most forgotten one, but WOW does it have some bops, both sad and lovely.

This era was so short-lived, but it gave us some beautiful looks! An easy go-to would be the brown/orange plaid jacket from Evermore. (I've linked on similar) Also, the Willow music video is a huge inspiration for these, and other Swifties will know exactly what you're going for!

Midnights Era

Midnights only came out a few weeks ago while I'm writing this, so I'm still reeling from this album release! I know from the second I hear "Anti-Hero" that it would be an instant classic.

When it comes to the looks from Midnights era, they span from glitzy blue midnight dresses and plenty of sparkles, mixed with vintage looks that evoke a sense of 70s retro. Combining these all together will be the ultimate Midnights tour outfit!

The Taylor Swift Midnights vibe: Honestly, Taylor's Midnights aesthetic is all over the place, but can be boiled down to: 70s vintage, starry night, retro, oranges, blues, lavender, clocks, and anything, and I mean anything that is bejeweled.

Inspired by her 70's glam looks in much of the material for the release of her album midnights, you can don some burnt orange and corduroy and fit in well! The top and fur jacket look similar to the starry dress Taylor wore out when she was promoting "Midnights". For a more casual "Midnights" look, you can wear this sheer celestial top as well. Debut Era Outfits

Taylor Swift’s Debut era was largely casual, with her often seen sporting a short sundress and cowboy boots both on stage and off.

The green off shoulder maxi dress is a nod to Taylor’s dress in the “Teardrops On My Guitar” music video , where the blue tulle mini dress resembles the corset and tutu she wears in the “Our Song” music video .

The black halter dress references Taylor’s first appearance at the American Music Awards in 2007, where she wore a similar (but bejeweled) dress with tall black cowboy boots.

Fearless Era Outfits

When performing live during her Fearless era, Taylor favored flashy fringe and sparkling sequins, most often in silver or a silver and black combination.

However, coming off the success of “Love Story,” we also saw live performances in full costume to reflect the Shakespearean theme of the music video . For a more subtle reference, try this flowy off-shoulder gown, or simply a corset top.

Another iconic Taylor Swift look from the Fearless era comes from the “You Belong With Me” music video , where she sports a homemade t-shirt with signatures of her friends doodled all over. This is something you can easily DIY using fabric markers– just don’t forget the large black frame glasses to complete the look!

Speak Now Era Outfits

Taylor’s Speak Now era can largely be summed up into two colors: purple and gold.

Taylor wears a dramatic purple dress on the original Speak Now album cover, and a flowy lilac dress in the album art for Taylor’s Version. Throughout the Speak Now tour, she wore a purple A-line halter dress along with gold and black fringe dresses. During the Eras Tour, Taylor sings “Enchanted” in a layered purple ballgown.

Outfits resembling school uniforms were also a strong aesthetic during this era, not only in the “The Story of Us” music video , but also in Taylor’s personal style. She was regularly photographed wearing pleated skirts, knee high socks and button downs.

Red Era Outfits

If you were on Tumblr between 2012-2014, you’re probably intimately familiar with the Red era aesthetic. Probably the easiest to dress for, it’s mostly made up of black and white outfits with red accents– particularly red lipstick.

Also prominent during this era were black fedoras, red heart sunglasses and high waisted shorts. The gold sequin shirt and red shorts combo is inspired by Taylor’s Jingle Ball performance at Madison Square Garden in 2012.

1989 Era Outfits

We got a lot more color back during Taylor’s 1989 era. During her 1989 Tour, she wore a multi-colored sequin jacket over a black bustier with various metallic skater skirts every night.

The “Shake It Off” music video provides a ton of outfit inspo, but my personal fave is the cheerleader costume, which is super easy to recreate.

One of Taylor’s most popular red carpet outfits is from this era, when she paired an orange bandeau top with a flowy fuchsia skirt at the 2016 Grammys– it was simple, but made a statement!

Reputation Era Outfits

Taylor’s style took a hard left turn during her Reputation era, bringing us an edgy side we hadn’t seen before, with almost exclusively all-black looks.

Common themes to her Reputation outfits were bodysuits, snake motifs, cropped hoods, and layered outfits with fishnets or other sheer fabrics.

Despite the departure from what we had been used to seeing her in, Taylor still worked in some of her signature style choices like sequins, rhinestones, fringe, and lace… just in black.

Lover Era Outfits

A major 180 after Reputation, pastel pinks and blues– particularly tie dyed together– is a huge theme of Taylor’s Lover era.

With Lover being released just before the pandemic, the album’s tour was cancelled… but not before we got a ton of outfit inspo from a few red carpets, performances and music videos.

During her 2019 Wango Tango performance , she sported tie dye shorts with a yellow tee. At the 2019 VMAs , she paired a boldly patterned blazer with a pink sequin bustier and thigh high boots. And of course, there’s the “You Need to Calm Down” music video , which she spends mostly in a pastel pink two-piece under a fluffy fuchsia coat with pearl accessories.

Folklore Era Outfits

Despite being released in the summer, the Folklore era gave us sad girl autumn vibes in both music and style.

Main themes of Folklore outfits include beige and brown, stripes and plaid, with the occasional smock-style dress thrown in. And of course: cardigans.

This would be a great era to choose if you’re attending The Eras Tour early or late into its run, when the weather may still be chilly from winter or cooling down after summer.

Taylor’s Folklore and Evermore eras have a lot of crossover in themes and visuals, with the “sister albums” released just 5 months apart.

One distinct look from the Evermore album cover is Taylor’s long orange and black plaid peacoat and single french braid in her hair.

The “Willow” music video provides two more Evermore outfits to recreate: a lace maxi dress paired with a pearl headband, and the storybook-inspired green cape ensemble.

Midnights Era Outfits

Because Midnights represents so many different points in Taylor’s life, there isn’t one single aesthetic to hone in on. For this era, I’m pulling inspo from music videos as well as her Eras Tour costumes.

In the “Bejeweled” music video , Taylor wears a black corset and shorts bejeweled in colorful stones. In the music video for “Anti-Hero,” one version of Taylor wears a striped one-piece with high waisted sequin shorts.

During the Midnights set at The Eras Tour, we see a lot of sequin dresses. During “Lavender Haze,” she sports a fluffy purple jacket with either a purple or pink sequin dress underneath. Her “Vigilante Shit” outfit may be the most iconic– a sparkly navy blue dress with tassels.

I Went to Opening Weekend of the Eras Tour — Here's What to Wear to Taylor Swift's Concert

On March 18, 2023, I buzzed with excitement in a crowd of nearly 70,000 fans eagerly counting down the seconds (literally — a giant clock ticked on screen) until Taylor Swift walked onstage for her second show of the wildly-anticipated Eras Tour . Three hours and 13 minutes later, I was basking in the blissful aftermath of an epic 44-song setlist from the music icon.

But before that, I thought long and hard about what to wear to a Taylor Swift concert I'd been daydreaming about for years. With 11 albums and four re-recordings in her discography, the options were endless. Should I dress for the glimmering, moody Midnights , wander back into the whimsical woods in honor of Folklore and Evermore , embrace the bubblegum pink wonderland of Lover , or pay tribute to Red (Taylor's Version) in loafers and, well, red?

The countless Taylor Swift concert outfit ideas might seem overwhelming, but after attending the first stop on the Eras Tour, I can tell you this: You'll see a little bit of everything (and a lot of sparkles.) Some Swifties threw it back to Fearless in cowboy boots , others wore heart-covered tulle dresses, and one dedicated fan even covered herself head-to-toe in ivy in honor of the Evermore track.

When Swift first announced the impending release of her eleventh studio album,  The Tortured Poets Department  during the 2024 Grammy Awards, fans weren’t sure what to expect. But in true Swiftie fashion, it didn’t take long for the masses to become well acquainted with the album’s sultry black-and-white aesthetic, numerous Easter eggs, and  chart-topping 31-song tracklist  in the weeks following its April 19 release.

And on her first tour stop following the drop, Swift did indeed  add an entirely new section for her  TTPD  era , including songs “So High School,” “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” and “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” To dress like a devoted member of the department, sport a romantic white blouse, silky black opera gloves, or ruffled gown courtesy of the “Fortnight” music video.

Swift's second-latest album, Midnights, evokes a '70s haze, if you will, with purple eyeshadow, tousled hair, and shag coats. For the final portion of her Eras Tour setlist, the "Anti-Hero" singer wore two outfits: a sparkly T-shirt dress topped with a lavender fur jacket that was dripping in crystals and a bejeweled dark purple fringe leotard, both worn with knee-high Christian Louboutin rhinestone boots.

While you might not go that extra (or designer), the color palette is an easy place to start. I opted for these lavender metallic wide-leg trousers and this sparkly ruched cowl neck tank top , both under $25 at Cider. Slip into the lavender haze with purple pants, disco-ball-esque tops, and furry jackets like this one that starts at $36 at Amazon, and stock up on friendship bracelets (à la "You're on Your Own, Kid") with a custom bracelet-making kit . Folklore and Evermore , released just four months apart in 2020, took us deep into the trees where moss grew on pianos and braided buns were a must. For slow burns like "Cardigan," the 12-time Grammy winner laid on the roof of a cabin and twirled around in a billowy cream maxi .

During the second night of the Eras Tour, Swift made a splash in her opening outfit, a custom Atelier Versace bodysuit covered in blue and gold rhinestones and silver knee-high boots by Christian Louboutin. Before there was the starry-eyed Taylor seeing life through rose-colored glasses, we had the all-black-clad, hooded, narrow-eyed snake, aka Reputation -era Taylor . Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is almost in the UK, so here’s what to wear to the concert

Taylor Swift has kicked off the European leg of her sell-out, record-breaking, earthquake -inducing Eras Tour – which means her UK shows are coming. Swifties, are you ready for it ? And more importantly, what are we all wearing?

It's not as though we've had little time to prepare. Taylor's first concert was held in March last year (!), but as is the case with holiday packing and festival outfit selection, we've left it to the last minute.

Choice is abundant, of course. We've know, because we've memorised the entire set list . From the classics on Fearless – here's hoping we see a Love Story proposal – to all The Tortured Poet's Department songs, yes all 31 of them, every era is covered. As such, which one to choose – and the best accompanying Eras Tour outfit – remains hot topic in the GLAMOUR office.

Speak Now (Taylor's version, ofc.) equals lilac hues and frills aplenty. Bonus points for butterflies in undone hair. If you're a 1989 fan, blue is the colour to go for – paired with denim and a cowboy hat as a finishing touch.

Folkmore (Taylor's on-stage combo of Folklore and Evermore ) looks take inspo from warm, earthy tones. Think: lace and sheer textures, plus gold jewellery to tie the Ivy together. Red is, well, red! Put a grown-up spin on the era with a Reformation evening top you're sure to wear post-eras tour.

This sequin-adorned co-ord from ASOS has Lover written all over it – not least because it does all the talking for you. The sequin boots are totally optional (I found some on ASOS Marketplace , if you're on board), but all you really need to finish the look is a pair of heart-shaped sunnies and Too Faced's That's My Jam eyeshadow palette . Alongside the the winged liner and red lippie , it'll help you achieve a sweet, Taylor-approved makeup look.

2. Fearless

Fearless is, potentially, my favourite era – one where Taylor keeps hold of the sparkly boots but switches the bodysuit for a shimmery, metallic dress. Fringing is a huge theme across all of her eras, but it's the star of the show in her Fearless custom Roberto Cavalli dress – later traded for another fringed dress, but in silver.

ASOS Design's chain fringe belt will help you recreate the look without having to invest in a sequin fringed dress that you'll likely never wear again. Best worn over a white ruffle mini skirt – that you'll definitely be able to pair with bikinis on a summer holiday later this season. A sequin cami top would act as the perfect take on Taylor's Cavalli number, while a pair of gold cowboy boots nod to the era that cemented Taylor as a global superstar and style icon.

This one's easy. If the era of 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble is your favourite – the one in which Taylor revisits the "Not A Lot Going On At The Moment" T-Shirt from the "22" music video, and later, another shirt that says, “We Are Never Getting Back Together, Like Ever," – then a slogan tee or head-to-toe red is the vibe.

Etsy stocks a variety of Taylor Swift lyric t-shirts, while Taylor's-adored Reformation stocks a bardot knit red top which would absolutely be reworn with jeans throughout the summer. Red lipstick is a must with this Eras Tour outfit.

4. Speak Now

Taylor sings one singular song from the Speak Now era in her tour, much-adored Enchanted – and to do so, she has worn a bespoke Nicole + Felicia Couture gown , a Zuhair Murad Couture custom gown , an Ellie Saab Fall 2020 gown, and a gown also by Saab from the 2022 AW collection. All of which a resurgence, in many ways, of the Valentino gown she wore to sing the same song on her Speak Now tour.

Of course, similar levels of glitz might be a tad overboard for attending the concert yourself (no judgement, though) – so opting for purple, as well as butterfly motifs, is a good way to bring her iconic tulle cover to life. ASOS Design's frill mini dress plays into Gen-Z's current adoration of cottagecore , while the clip-in butterflies and More To Come's butterfly top add a playful injection to your Eras Tour outfit.

5. Reputation

Moody, grungy and dark is the vibe for Reputation girlies, and we're convinced this sequin mini dress by Topshop at ASOS is the perfect outfit from which to scream ‘ Don't Blame Me ,’ ‘ Delicate ,’ and ‘ Look What You Made Me Do ’ from the top of your lungs.

You'd be taking inspo from Taylor's own Reputation costume if you invest: she brings fierce energy in an asymmetrical black Roberto Cavalli bodysuit during this segment of the tour. Once again, adorned in sparkles.

6. Folkmore (“Folklore” and “Evermore” combined)

Beautiful boho vibes are the name of the game for those looking for Folkmore-inspired outfit ideas, with milkmaid dresses your best option for mirroring the muted  purple Alberta Ferretti and Alberta Ferretti dresses Taylor wears for this section of the show. Think: fairytale, rustic and whimsical. Comfort is key, obvs, so pair your boho Motel Jati dress with a pair of Gigi Hadid -approved Adidas Gazelles.

Roberto Cavalli is, once again, behind the sequin two-piece that Taylor wears for the era of Blank Space , Shake It Off and Wildest Dreams . But while Taylor opts for magenta or bright green chunky fringe and sequins, we're convinced that taking inspiration from the New York views, girl squad hangouts and seagulls that depicted 1989 is the best route to go down with your outfit.

H&M's strap detail top would look epic paired with white jeans or denim shorts and cowgirl boots – and this cute fur-trimmed cowgirl hat can definitely be reworn at all those hen parties throughout the summer. Throw an open linen shirt over your Eras Tour outfit to fight the British weather.

Released on April 19, 2024, The Tortured Poets Department is the eleventh studio album by Taylor – and her latest. When it dropped earlier this year, it not only set new Spotify streaming records, but resurfaced Kardashian drama and kickstarted a new era for us to gain outfit inspo from.

9. Midnights

For the last – but not least – era on our outfit tour: Midnights. And in navy blue sequins, you'll look like you've stepped right out of Taylor's age of extravagance and reflection. Being in your Midnights era, after all, is thinking back to past versions of yourself (and wondering whether that's still you). You need to look bejewelled.

Need Outfit Inspo For The Eras Tour? What To Wear Based On Your Favorite Taylor Swift Album

As the lyricist herself asked, "Are you ready for it?" The eras tour is almost upon us and Swifties all over the country will finally get the chance to see Taylor Swift live on stage. Swift's last tour was almost five years ago, so it goes without saying that this has been long overdue. In fact, the songstress has released three new studio albums and two re-releases, or "Taylor's Versions," of her old albums since she last toured. Needless to say, this tour will be a little different.

Not only will the eras tour see Swift return to the stage, but it will also be a chance for fans to hear her perform songs from each of her albums or "eras" to date. As the singer wrote in her Instagram announcement, it will be "a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)."

Of course, this concept does present fans with one problem — what are we supposed to wear? As every fan knows, each Swift era features its own unique style and aesthetic. So, if you're looking for some inspiration, here are a few tour outfit ideas inspired by each of Swift's eras .

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift's self-titled debut album came out in 2006 and featured iconic country songs like "Tim McGraw" and "Teardrops on My Guitar." In terms of fashion, the album featured the singer embracing her country roots. During this era, Swift wore a lot of youthful, floaty dresses paired with bold cowboy boots. If you want to celebrate her first studio album at the eras concert, opt for tightly curled hair, a knee-length colorful dress, and knee-high cowboy boots to give you that all-American country look.

As Taylor Swift got older, she got more fearless — in her fashion, as well as in her music. Her 2008 album "Fearless"  saw the singer steering away from her acoustic country sound to include a few pop influences in her music. During this era, she went for a look that was brave and bold to go with her newfound superstardom. She wore plenty of sequins and fringe. But, she still stuck to her country roots with her trusted cowboy boots and signature curly hair. Go for a mini sequined dress paired with cowboy boots to pay homage to this era at the tour.

"Speak Now," came in 2010. During this era, T-Swift was a little more grown-up. Her songs became more mature, and though she still wrote about her teen experiences, they had more of a theatrical, fairy tale quality to them — her fashion followed suit. Her outfits had a vintage look that complemented songs like "Enchanted" and "Haunted." She wore retro necklines and full-skirted ballgowns, styled softer curls, and ditched the cowboy boots. Go for a vintage, feminine look that makes you feel "enchanted" if you want to take inspiration from the "Speak Now" era — purple is the name of the game. 

In the "Red" era , Taylor Swift took another step towards pop music and away from country. The album was released in 2012 and Swift embraced the trends of the time, wearing high-waisted shorts, striped shirts, and big hats. She also famously wore a pair of red Lolita heart-shaped sunglasses during the "Red" years. She even debuted her signature bangs and red lip during the era. If you want to take inspiration from the "Red" era, embrace your inner mid-2010s hipster — and don't forget the red lipstick.

In "1989," Taylor Swift finally completed her transition into pop star with anthems like "Style" and "Wildest Dreams." This album had an '80's-inspired sound and her outfits reflected this. One famous outfit featured a sparkly black drop top paired with a high-waisted skater skirt, a sparkly sports jacket, and a pair of white Ray Bans. This outfit would be perfect for the eras tour. Swift also wore a lot of sequins, blazers, short shorts, and heeled boots during the "1989" years. 

After the public seemingly turned on Taylor Swift in 2016, the singer took a brief hiatus from public life. "I felt completely incapable of doing or saying anything publicly, at all," she told The Guardian . Nevertheless, she came back a year later in full force with her dark revenge album, "Reputation." This album saw Swift reborn as a fearless bada**. She wore a lot of black, leather, thigh-high boots, and dramatic hoods, so think about those things when dressing for this era. 

With 2019's "Lover," Taylor Swift let go of her dark revenge persona and embraced a soft, romantic side. She was now in a long-term relationship with Joe Alwyn and her latest album was all about the joys of having a happy, healthy relationship. To reflect this positive, happy outlook, the singer wore bright bold colors and fierce, confident shapes like padded shoulders. We recommend going for a bright pink outfit with a strong, fitted silhouette if you want to embrace your confident "Lover" side.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Taylor Swift wrote "Folklore," which saw her saying goodbye to her bright, poppy sound from "Lover" in favor of a soft, acoustic vibe. The woodsy, dreamy "Folklore" era was defined by, you guessed it, folky fashion. Along with her famous chunky white cardigan, Swift wore a lot of long peasant-style dresses and cozy knitwear. She also went for a soft, carefree, romantic curly up-do. Wear a long, floaty dress and a low braided bun to the eras tour to pay homage to "Folklore."

Taylor Swift's album "Evermore" had a very similar feeling to "Folklore." Once again, the album centered around fictional characters and stories and featured an acoustic, folky sound. Swift famously wore a checked peacoat with a long, casual braid on the album cover. In her "Willow" music video, the singer wore a Zimmerman white lace dress with a flower crown. This romantic look, whether a lacey cream dress or something silky with puff sleeves, would be perfect for an eras tour outfit.

Taylor Swift's latest album, "Midnights," is probably her most sophisticated work yet. This album had a dark, nighttime feel. Her fashion from this era was a mix of '70s-inspired casual looks and "Bejeweled" evening wear. To emulate the "Midnights" look at the eras tour, go for a bold, dark blue dress covered in sequins or glittery stars. Or take your inspiration from Tay's "Anti-Hero" video and go a little more casual, opting for a collared '70s-style sweater with a pair of flared pants.
