To obtain a passport for the first time, you need to go in person to one of over 9,000 passport offices. You must bring passport photographs of yourself, proof of U.S. citizenship, and a valid form of photo identification such as a driver's license. • your expired U.S. passport is not in your possession

Few travelers are as insightful or engaged as the readers of Travel + Leisure , which is why our annual World’s Best Awards are considered the travel industry’s most trusted rankings. Each year, you share your opinions on a broad range of experiences based on recent trips you’ve taken. For 2023, we have a whopping 122 lists of reader favorites, including two brand-new categories: trains and luxury villa rental companies.

For this 28th edition of the awards, hundreds of thousands of votes were cast in an extensive survey that was open Oct. 24, 2022, through Feb. 27, 2023 via a secure website that was maintained and monitored by our research partner, Proof Insights. Respondents had the option to rate airlines, airports, car-rental companies, cities, cruise ships, destination spas, hotels, hotel brands, islands, luxury villa rental companies, safari outfitters, tour operators, trains, and U.S. national parks based on a number of characteristics for which they could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.

After the survey closed, T+L and Proof Insights screened the responses to identify fraudulent votes, which were eliminated from the final tallies. You can read more about how voting works below in the survey methodology.

In addition to the list of discounted attraction tickets we offer, there are always special promotions offering discounted (or even free!) special event tickets to military members and their Families. These tickets may be available at the Leisure Travel office or through the attraction's own ticketing office. Please read the details of each offer for more information.

On occasion, special event ticket will be open for "pre-order." This gives you an opportunity to reserve tickets for you to purchase once ticket inventory becomes available. To pre-order tickets, follow these steps.

• Call (502) 624-5030 with your name and best phone number (mobile preferred) to reach you. Make sure to recap your phone number with the representative who takes your information to ensure that your contact information is accurate.
• Indicate the number of tickets you WILL commit to buying.
• You will be advised if you are on a guarantee ticket list or wait list for tickets.
• Tickets may arrive as early as four months or as late as one week prior to an event.
• When the tickets arrive, you will be notified immediately to confirm your order.
• Once tickets are paid for, they are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.

Location of seats for tickets to concerts are not available to us until we receive the tickets in our office. Those who pre-order tickets will be advised of the ticket locations when they are contacted to confirm their ticket purchase. It is extremely rare that the tickets come in less than a week of the concert. Unless it is within one week of the concert, you have a maximum of one week to pay for your tickets before they are released back for open sale.

For a lot of people, buying car insurance is like buying sliced bread. It’s not the most exciting purchase, and the options all seem similar. So thrifty shoppers might simply reach for the cheapest thing on the shelf. But like cheap bread, cheap car insurance may leave you wishing you spent a little more on quality.

“The cheapest is not always the best,” warns Jessica McNally, an agency owner with Goosehead Insurance in Dallas. That’s because there are lots of factors that make up a car insurance company. And while price is one of them, it’s best to look at the bigger picture.

Here’s what to look for when picking the best car insurance company.

1. Choose a financially stable company

The best car insurance companies have plenty of money on hand to pay for customers’ claims. It’s important to check an insurer’s financial stability before buying a policy, especially if it’s a smaller insurer you’ve never heard of.

There are several independent agencies that evaluate the financial strength of insurance companies. One example is A.M. Best. You can use its online search tool to find an insurer’s financial strength rating. Companies with a rating of A or higher are considered to have an excellent ability to pay out customer claims.

2. Check customer satisfaction ratings and reviews

Not every insurer is customer-first. That’s why it’s important to research the customer satisfaction of insurers you’re considering.

3. Look for convenience

A great auto insurer should offer multiple ways to manage a policy. For example, some insurers allow customers to use a mobile app to file and track claims. But it’s hard to tell how simple it’ll be to file a claim or perform other essential tasks, like paying your premium, before becoming a customer.

Some telltale signs that an insurer will be easy to work with are high mobile app ratings, flexible customer service hours and an easy-to-use website with helpful content. Consider asking a company representative to walk you through the claims process to learn what you’ll need to do if you have to file a claim. And pay attention to how the company communicates with you. "If they don't properly communicate, well, that's a warning sign," says Michael DeLong, a research and advocacy associate for the nonprofit Consumer Federation of America.

4. Pick an affordable company

It’s not hard to get car insurance quotes online from many companies. Make sure you compare the same coverage options throughout the quote-gathering process. And don’t forget to look for car insurance discounts, like breaks for being a good driver, paying your premium in full or driving a new car.

When shopping for the best car insurance, keep the following tips in mind.

Assess your needs. Before buying car insurance, take a moment to reflect on what’s important to you and your family. For example, maybe you prioritize affordability and a well-polished mobile app, but don’t need accident forgiveness .  

Consider small insurers. There are lots of small insurance companies you’ve probably never heard of. These regional insurers may provide lower rates and better customer service than the big companies you see advertised on TV.

Work with an independent agent. While it may be easy to get quotes yourself, independent car insurance agents and brokers can streamline the process. These experts vet companies and compile quotes from small and large insurers on your behalf. Independent agents and brokers can especially come in handy if you have a less-than-perfect driving record and can’t find insurance on your own.

Do your research. Search online for recent mentions of a company in the news before buying a policy, recommends DeLong. If you find a company has lots of recent lawsuits against it, you may want to think twice about signing on the dotted line. “And if they've had to pay out settlements, that's an even bigger red flag,” DeLong says.

Shop around once a year. Make a practice of shopping for car insurance every year — especially if price is important to you. Insurers adjust car insurance rates regularly, so what might have been the most affordable option last year may no longer be a bargain.

After becoming the first president to face criminal charges , Trump is now the first former president to be a convicted felon. What does that felony status mean for Trump's 2024 presidential campaign, and everything else to come this year? Let's break it down:

Can he appeal the decision?

When is he sentenced, can trump pardon himself, what does this mean for his other criminal cases, has president biden said anything about the conviction, can he still run for president.

Yes. There's no legal prohibition on running for president as a convicted felon, or serving as president as one. The U.S. Constitution has just three requirements for presidential candidates: be a natural born citizen; be at least 35 years old; have been a U.S. resident for at least 14 years.

He may not be able to vote for president, however: Florida, where Trump is a registered voter, requires felons to complete their full sentence (including probation, or jail time and parole) before getting voting rights back. With Election Day just 117 days after his sentencing date, it's unlikely Trump will complete his sentence before then. However, CNN notes that "Florida actually defers to the jurisdiction of a felony conviction as to whether a felon can vote , " and New York's felon voting laws are different. In New York, convicted felons who are not incarcerated are eligible to vote.

Yes, he can appeal, and it's almost certain that he and his legal team will. As CNBC explains , " But that appeal process would play out over many months, if not years, they said. That means that even if Trump eventually overturns his conviction, he won’t be able to do so before Election Day."

Trump's sentencing is set for July 11 at 10 a.m. eastern. Before the sentencing, Trump has to sit with an interview with a probation officer for a pre-sentencing report. His possible sentence could be as little as probation to up to four years in prison—he's charged with class E felonies, the lowest tier.

As the New York Times notes, " If Justice Merchan hands down a punishment that lands the former president behind bars — what is known as a custodial sentence — Mr. Trump would be no ordinary prisoner. That’s because the United States Secret Service is required by law to protect former presidents around the clock, which means its agents would have to protect Mr. Trump inside a prison if he was sentenced to serve time."

The logistics of that requirement would be unprecedented. "Obviously, it’s uncharted territory," Martin F. Horn, who served as commissioner of New York City's correction department, said . "Certainly no state prison system has had to deal with this before, and no federal prison has had to either."

If he receives probation, he would have to report regularly to a probation officer in New York City.

If Trump is elected president this November, and then takes office in January, would he be able to pardon himself? No: Presidents can only pardon federal convictions—someone was convicted in a United States District Court, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, or a military court-martial. This ruling is from New York State.

It has no other impact on his three pending criminal cases: Two are federal cases, about his handling of classified documents , and one is a case in the State of Georgia, regarding election interference. Those three cases are not likely to go to trial before Election Day.

President Biden himself has not directly commented, but Ian Sams, a spokesman for the White House Counsel's Office, said "We respect the rule of law, and have no additional comment."

We'll update this as we learn more about what's next for Donald Trump following his conviction.
