Caudalie Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence

With skin loving ingredients like glycolic acid, grape water and white peony, this essence works to tackle skin texture as well as hydration. The glycolic acid " gently exfoliates dull skin to brighten and even out skin tone ," Dr. Chang says. She also noted that exfoliating the skin "allows for better penetration of later skincare products."

GH staffers can't get enough of this product. They note that it provides the skin with ample hydration without feeling heavy or leaving any residue . “Aptly named, I apply the milky essence before putting on my makeup, and it makes my foundation go on super smoothly. My face feels really soothed when I use it,” says GH Beauty Assistant Catharine Malzahn .

Wnek had similar sentiments, sharing that "it almost feels like a moisturizer in liquid form," she says. Great Price for the money...

My husband and I did a Tauck tour of New Orleans and Baton Rouge. Wonderful hotels, THE BEST tour guide and great excursions. We feel like we would never have seen everything on our own and got our monies worth! Highlight is the Jazz concert in Preservation Hall and World War II museum.

Best of Ireland (Small Group) Tour

Just returned from 14 days travel the coastal perimeter. It was our favorite trip + we frequently travel. Our Tour Director (Vincent Baxter) was very knowledgeable + made the trip wonderful. He shared his life with us. He explained The Troubles + The Hunger and told little known facts. We’ve never learned so much. If you go in mid May all the Hawthorn trees will be in bloom. They are everywhere + beautiful. The Irish love their country + are very proud of it. The beauty will stay with us forever.

Tauck is a First Rate Company

My wife and I recently took a trip to Italy, a 14-day Tauck Classic Italy. The trip was wonderful until my wife fell and could not continue on. Although we had issues with the travel insurance company, Tauck stepped up and agreed to reimburse us for the expenses we had because of some communication issues when we left. I will definitely be scheduling more trips with Tauck. They are a first-rate company who understands the value of dedicated customers.

Purpose of trip insurances .

Whenever a tour is cancelled for any reason and trip insurance was purchased that amount is used for that exact purpose ie. insurance . Most tour companies take the premium , however Tauck credits that total amount to another tour if booked within their time frame . We have taken many tours , Tauck has gone above and beyond their duties to us each tour . It is unfortunate some do not understsnd trip insurance . When purcasing auto insurance your premium is not refunded if you have no accidents .

Twice it's Happened

During the pandemic my Huband and I planned a trip to Africa. Unfortunately, I was frightened and there were no airplanes flying anywhere, so we canceled. Consequently, the trip was canceled altogether. Tauck wouldn't give me back my down payment even then. They said it will be held for a dreamer's trip. Earlier last year, since I couldn't get my deposit back, we decided to take a trip this year. Unbelievably they made me pay another $1200 payment. I know insurance is important; my husband was going to get it this year. Unfortunately, we both can't make the trip due to illnesses. Again, I was told I would not be getting back my payments of $2400. They didn't care that we would have gone but for medical issues we could not. We are both 77 years old. I sent messages to two TV stations, and I hope they take the case. I've seen other travelers not getting their money back either. We should all get together and put in a complaint.

Covid Risk on a Tauck Cruise of Greece

I took a Tauck cruise of Greece called Treasures of the Aegean. The cruise itself was great. All the passengers tested negative for Covid before boarding the ship. However, at the end of the cruise more than 10 percent if the passengers had Covid and had to quarantine. I had known of the risk of Covid, I would never have taken the tour.

Tauck tour …

Tauck does an excellent job organizing tours. But they are not the best for solo travelers. They will not tell you if other solos are going at least I couldn’t find out, and I was the only one alone on a recent trip. . Given the profile of the other travelers including some families that had to be attached at the hip every second, which made it uncomfortable for me (ie entitled young adult telling me where I could sit so they were all together) probably will not travel with them again unless they will disclose/have other solos - better to go alone and copy their itineraries!

After 16 trips with Tauck

After 16 trips with Tauck, this was my last. The overall trip was BORING, on and off the bus, packing/unpacking after 1 or 2 days in each hotel, dull sites. Their choice of hotels has deteriorated considerably. One of the "hotels" was less than 1 star. But the worst part is their customer service. Apparently they could care less about keeping customers. Maybe ignorant first-timers will keep them going for a while. Doubt it.

WE HAVE TAKEN SEVERAL GREAT TOURS WITH TAUCK PRE COVID🥳….however taking tours POST COVID has been a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. 😱 THEIR Directors are NOW RUDE, ARROGANT, COMBATIVE AND DISMISSIVE! If you have any concerns while on a Tour …KEEP THEM TO YOURSELF🤫….otherwise they will tell the other Traveler’s to AVOID YOU!! THE QUALITY SINCE COVID HAS DROPPED FROM 5* TO 1/2* We will NEVER AGAIN use them.

First time Tuack Tour, Essence of Japan. It will be my last. Spent more than 45k and they handled flight booking. They booked international layover outbound with 40 min window. Not surprisingly my bags, clothes and medicine didn't arrive for 30 hours. They acknowledged their fault in email but Guest Relations tone deaf. They offered small cash refund and future credit on next tour. Won't be a "next tour ". It was once a great brand but they have lost their feel for customer retention. If you use them, bookyour own travel and save money and aggravation.

Beware of the travel insurance that…

Beware of the travel insurance that Tauck partners with from Aon. We bought this insurance specifically to cover a pre-trip positive Covid test. My wife tested positive 3 days before the trip. The insurance company asked her to get a PCR test which came back positive too. They are now denying the claim because she wasn't sick enough to see a doctor. Tauck now says they will not get involved. This insurance company is labeled as its partner. Terrible customer service. We will never again trust Tauck.

Tauck is amazing

I was on two Tauck tours last year: Jordan and Egypt and Rhine Oktoberfest cruise. Both tours were superb. Local guides were used at every stop. We were really pampered: luggage pick up at our room when we moved. On the river cruise, all tips and alcohol are included in the price. Both were truly first class trips.

Right now waiting for any responses to…

Right now waiting for any responses to problems with upcoming tour of Southeast Asia. Lots of call holding and bs. I would never recommend cibt for visas. Disorganized mess with no one ever responding and delays that are not explained and charges to credit card yea reversed but $1400 errors. And visas still not delivered and no explanations.

I recently enjoyed a 10 day Tauck Tour…

I recently enjoyed a 10 day Tauck Tour of Tanzania and Zanzibar, Africa. The tour exceeded my wildest expectations. If you are interested in experiencing unparalleled and close up wild animals in their natural habitat this is the tour for you. While the daily safari drives are a bit grueling for my age (67) they are worth the bumpy drive (referred to as an African massage), not to mention the very comfortable accommodations every evening with the best possible views. Our tour guides were superb. They were knowledgeable and eagle eyed at seeing and then quickly driving to see animals doing everything animals due in the wild including hunting and killing prey, caring for their young, mating rituals and much more. We even had a sunrise hot air balloon ride over the Serengeti. Our tour guide, Ivan, was a wealth of information on local customs and traditions. We visited a local tribe and were granted unprecedented access to their daily lives. A visit to the site and museum where Professor and Mary Leakey spent their lives uncovering the “cradle of civilization” where they discovered the bones of the earliest humanoids was an unexpected treat.

Very disappointed Tauck tour( currently on). The food: dinner menu: Entree: 1 Red beans & Rice. 2. Crawfish etouffee. Cash bar. That’s. Most dinners are disappointment. Cost: Average $1000+/day/couple.

Seven months in advance, refuse to return deposit

Douro River cruise, excellent. Booked a summer cruise out of Nice 2023. Had to cancel seven months prior to the departure date. Had made a $3000 deposit that Tauck refused to return or apply as a future credit. Never will travel on them again

No response to customer inquiries

First tour to Yellowstone postponed until 2021 due to COVID. Unavoidable so fair enough. Missed the first night in Jackson Hole due to flight delays. Not a great start, but not Taucks fault so my loss. The tour director was wonderful but park restaurants were still closed, so lots of takeout, a buffet that ran low on food but I do realize there were staffing shortages….enough said. Given the price paid I was a bit disappointed but fellow travelers assured me this was all atypical and Tauck is usually fabulous, so decided to give them another try this year and had questions about the Spain/Portugal tour. After trying repeatedly to reach Tauck by phone, I emailed them. Three days later still no response. Not what I consider fabulous and certainly makes me hesitant to use them again despite what my friends say.

I was going to complain to their HQ

I was going to complain to their HQ, but could not find a direct route. However, having read the negative feedback from recent clients on the hugely expensive trip on the Grand New England tour, it looks like I got lucky! Having booked last autumn for next September, my health detriorated, and I needed to cancel. I understand the T&C regarding cancelation but did ask the Tauck might refund my deposit of £400, if they resold the spaces. Seeing that the 29 Sept 2023 tour is now sold out, I asked if they would repay as a sign of goodwill. NO WAY! came the reply. This is sharp practice as they get paid twice over. BTW my health seems to be improving, but I will give Tauck a miss on our next trip to New England.

What is it Containing more than 90% PITERA™ , our unique yeast-derived formulation improves surface cell turnover renewal and stimulates the skin’s natural reproduction of Hyaluronic Acid and Natural Moisturizing Factors via skin barrier hydration, leaving your skin fundamentally healthy and youthful looking.

SK-II Facial Treatment Essence Ingredients

If you prefer simple formulas with just one active ingredient, you’ll love how this is 90%+ pitera, supported by a few penetration enhancers and preservatives.

The star ingredient Pitera is the result of fermenting a specific strain of yeast belonging to the genus Galactomyces . The legend goes that SK-II scientists noticed how soft and youthful the Japanese sake brewer’s hands were, and they hypothesized it must be a result of the skin being in constant contact with the fermenting liquid.

Whether or not you believe the story, an in-house study found that Pitera helped protect the skin against damage thanks to its antioxidant benefits and ability to increase hyaluronan production 1 .

A study in 2014 then found Pitera might help with skin pigmentation , while another study in 2015 found Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate helps maintain a healthy barrier . 2,3 We know that fermentation breaks down ingredients into smaller, more easily absorbed nutrients like vitamins, amino acids , organic acids, and minerals, so these findings aren’t all that surprising.

For those with fungal acne, you’ll want to avoid this ingredient (and subsequently this product) as it can make your acne worse! 4

Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate vs Pitera

Plenty of Asian skincare products contain Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate , so why does the SK-II version cost 10 times more?

As with cooking, ingredients matter. How and where the ingredients are sourced can greatly impact its quality . According to SK-II, they experimented with over 350 different yeast strains to finally isolate the one that delivered skin transforming results. They then perfected every step of the fermentation, and from this strictly controlled process, you get the SK-II Pitera that stands out from the rest of the filtrates.

That’s not to say all other Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate based products are useless, but my experience with them have been a hit or miss. I share more thoughts in the “similar products” section below.

How to use the SK-II Essence

• As a first essence, you should apply the SK-II immediately after cleansing, before toners and serums.
• I pour a quarter sized amount into the palm of my hand, and gently pat it on my face until fully absorbed. I’ve tried using a cotton pad (too wasteful), toner masking (too much effort for not that much greater results), and patting it directly delivers the best results.
• Once the essence has absorbed, continue with the rest of your skincare routine.
• Use twice a day, everyday for best results.

I first tried this cult favorite in my mid 20’s, and I was not impressed. In hindsight my skin was in pretty good shape at the time – smooth, good tone, and definitely no fine lines. I had dark spots, but that’s a whole other beast. So it’s no wonder that I noticed no difference after finishing the bottle.

Fast forward 5+ years later to my 30’s, the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence was transformational .

I was hesitant giving it a second chance, but even just a few weeks later I was already seeing improvements: more radiance, improved skin texture, slightly less noticeable pores, and generally more refined looking skin . There’s no other way to describe the results except that it made my skin look good .

Wanting to see if I could replicate the same results with similar products, I took a break from SK-II and evidently, also a break from having clear skin. Not that my face took a turn for the worse but it just didn’t look as good as when I was using the SK-II.

And so begins my story of purchasing the jumbo size SK-II Pitera Essence from Costco whenever I ran out.

I won’t say this completely changed my skin, but I can’t deny that my skin feels its best when I’m using the SK-II Facial Treatment Essence regularly in my routine . The results are very similar to using EGF , but calculating the cost per use, SK-II actually comes out cheaper!

While the brand also claims the essence can improve skin elasticity and reverse signs of aging, I personally haven’t noticed these results. But, it’s also possible that using SK-II’s essence consistently has helped delay the onset of these aging signs.

Overall I’m more than happy with what the essence has done for my skin, and absolutely think it’s worth its price.

SK-II “Dupes” Compared

Secret Key Starting Treatment Rose Essence Probably the closest affordable dupe to the SK-II, the Secret Key actually contains some additional hydrating and soothing ingredients which is a nice plus. While you do see similar skin improvements with continuous use, they’re not as significant as the SK-II. If you’re younger or on a budget, this is a fantastic option.

Missha Time Revolution Essence Despite using a different type of fermented yeast ( bifida ferment lysate to be exact), this is most “famous” of the SK-II dupes, and one I recommend you skip. It’s not bad per se and has its own benefits, but it doesn’t deliver any of the results you’d get with SK-II.

IOPE Bio Intensive Essence Conditioning Another popular K-beauty essence, this one featuring saccharomyces ferment filtrate . I was able to achieve similar results if I paired this with an ionic skincare device that “pushes” ingredients deeper into the skin or if I lotion masked, as patting simply did nothing. This is a pass for me, as there’s an even more affordable alternative coming up.

Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence A fantastic essence that contains 4 strains for fermented extracts, though not galactomyces . It feels more hydrating than the SK-II, and when paired with the serum from the same line, the brightening results are absolutely amazing. Highly recommend adding both to your routine if you’re looking to improve skin tone.

• Water like texture makes it easy to apply no matter the skin type or routine.
• Start seeing result as soon as 2 weeks.
• Visibly improves skin health from multiple aspects: radiance, texture, and clarity.
• So so so expensive.
• More preventative and won’t actively reverse signs of aging like fine lines or loss of firmness.
• Not suitable for those with fungal acne.

Although SK-II’s prices are ridiculous, I’ve yet to find cheaper products that deliver the same level of impact on my skin. And when it comes to skincare, result is king, hence why this cult-favorite Facial Treatment Essence remains a staple in my routine. However, because of the steep price, I 100% recommend anyone wanting to try this to start with a deluxe sample/travel size. If it’s for you, you’ll see results in under 2 weeks, but if not, at least it’s not $$$ down the drain.

Just started using SK-II thanks to this review and oh my, it’s a game-changer for my skin routine. Finally, something that lives up to the hype!

Gave SK-II a try after reading so much about it. Not seeing what all the fuss is about. Feels like just another pricey bottle sitting on the shelf now.

Having tried both the SK-II essence and several of its ‘dupes,’ I found this comparison quite enlightening. While there’s a clear difference in price, the effectiveness seems more subjective. It might just boil down to personal preference and skin type.

Having used SK-II Facial Treatment Essence for over a year, I’ve seen noticeable improvements in my skin’s hydration and overall youthful appearance. I’m assuming you’re pretty young if you’re still a student, in that case I definitely don’t recommend the SK-II FTE. I tried it in my 20s and was not impressed either. The results really shine when you’re older!

If it's too good to be true it's a con!

Very disappointing first experience of trying to book. Email received offering 15% off selected holidays for Sept & Oct. Chose a Turkey holiday which was quoting from £1228pp, as you would expect. Chose the date, the room, the flight all still quoting 1228! Filled in personal details for payment and as soon as this was completed the full invoice appears as you would expect BUT suddenly it is now £1780pp Feel we have totally wasted a morning so back to Riviera we go where you pay what you see!!!

Bose was rubbish! - read on . . .

Bose was rubbish! Well at least that's what I told him. Of all the reps/guides that we have had on Titan and other holiday suppliers, Bose was by far the best, the most helpful, informative and with an eye for detail providing additional support when needed. The Amorena was exceptionally clean and well run with an outstanding Master and crew including the kitchen staff. No request was too much trouble for them and dealt with promptly. I would not hesitate to use Titan again and would highly recommend them to anyone who would listen.

Excellent tour and guide

California, San Diego, Sedona,Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosemite, San Francisco. Excellent tour and guide, Alex, who is very amusing as well as super organised thoughtful and full of information, including videos, films and atmospheric music. Good hotels and excursions. Full on, so much seen and experienced. Holiday of a lifetime. ViP door to door a real benefit especially after a delay and a night flight home NB. 1. No meals included and California is expensive, with high taxes and a tipping culture 2. Less than ideal for solo travellers

Deluxe Alaskan voyage and the Rocky Mountaineer What a fab 17 day trip from home pick up to delivery back home. Very well organised from start to finish. Our Tour guide John Allen made our holiday one to remember. His wealth of knowledge was amazing on everything! Great sense of humour and went above and beyond to ensure everyone in our group were happy and safe. Such an asset to your company. Its a shame that more hotel breakfasts and evening meals weren't included and that the ships tips/taxes werent included either, making a very expensive tour even more costly! We paid and did a couple of the tours arranged by Holland and America which were fun but again costly. But a big shout out and thank you to John a very memorable experience.

Luxor and Nile Cruise

The holiday was extremely well managed with an excellent quality hotel in Luxor for 3 days followed by an excellent quality river boat for a week. Our tour manager was superb in making decisions and getting us to all sites in the cool morning as the first coach into the car park everywhere. He also made excellent decisions on scheduling during an extreme 3 day heatwave. We also had an incredibly knowledgeable Egyptologist for our site guide. An excellent team of local experts who worked superbly throughout. Several of us booked a balloon ride outside of the tour agenda and this was not only taken into account with a slight start time adjustment but the tour manager also came down to reception at 0400 to make sure our pickup went OK. The tour agenda was superb and the seldom included Dendera was a superb starter site. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough :)

ABSOLUTELY AVOID

Do not believe Titan stating they want to review/help with your complaint. I emailed within 24 hours with requested details following Titan's response to my AVOID one star rating. I have heard nothing since, seven days later. I am still waiting for an email acknowledgement and email written response. Titan are the worst company I have come across for taking payment and then completely ignoring complaints. Very few businesses disregard their customers this way in 2024. Titan have no understanding of customer service and do not care about their customers or reviews. The lack of any customer service response is beyond appalling and shockingly bad. Deb - this isn't feedback. It is a complaint. do you understand the difference?

Hidden Treasures of Sardinia

Tom our Tour Manager was excellent. His knowledge of the island and is organisational skills were very good. Unfortunately, the quality of the hotels and food provided fell well below the standard expected on a Titan tour. Many visits seemed to be wasting time to delay arrival at hotel, eg The Bandit Museum in Aggius and Porto Cervo. Finally we did not pass Tharros, which was part of the itinerary.

Excellent experience, hotel is situated in a very good position and it is a first class hotel. Buses and trains used for getting around are first class. A well planned tour and our guide (Marcus) was one of the best guides we have ever had, so much information. Keep it up Marcus 👌. Thanks for the loan of the glasses 🤓. Now for the bad part of our experience, British Airways "absolutely rubbish" from booking in, what a terrible system, then we had to change airplane and lots of delays, both ways 👎

A grand sweep of Canada

Grand Canadian Coast to Coast This was a holiday that delivered. It was never going to be particularly restful, but it was well-paced, with suitable pauses, even whole days occasionally, when we could either choose optional excursions or do our own thing. We were blessed with a well organised and conscientious tour manager in Alex, who was never happier than when we absorbed the beauty and the interest of our surroundings. These were as varied and rewarding as we’d hoped. The delayed flight home was a challenge, but at least it meant we had a little more time with our great bunch of fellow travellers. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taste of east and west and those amazing Rocky Mountains.

Dreadful experience trying to contact Titan post holiday with an enquiry trying to get information about compensation for a flight delay . Let details on the phone line with the promise of a call back within 24 hours . 4 days later I am still waiting Since posting my review I have since been contacted by Titan and had the information that I required

A perfect Adriatic sailing trip on the Amorena

Croatian Island cruise from Split on Amorena

A great experience! The whole holiday was excellent. Pick up and flights were on time and the ship was breathtaking. The itinerary couldn't be faulted, the food was good and Bobby the guide was excellent, really knowledgeable and helpful without being intrusive. Our cabin, No 7, was below deck and, being next to the engine room, was noisy when cruising, but as we never cruised at night this wasn't a problem. The cabin was surprisingly spacious and well air conditioned. Our overnight moorings were always delightful and peaceful. We really enjoyed our holiday on Amorena.

Grand Canadian Coast to Coast

Grand Canadian Coast to Coast This was our first "escorted' holiday and it very clearly demonstrated the benefits. No worries for us, a door to door service, and a tour manager (Alex) who took everyone's wishes, and needs, on board. The itinerary was ambitious and despite the weather making some things difficult, more than adequately fulfilled. If we had tried a self-drive version we would have missed doing so much. We'll definitely be doing a Titan tour again.

Jewels of Spain

Very disappointed with this holiday as we were inundated with 100’s of Spanish children taking part in a football tournament at our first hotel. They were badly behaved and the adults with them were only interested in drinking . Complaints to management were useless . Saga/Titan say they have no control over other guests staying there but as this is an annual event another hotel should have been used for June holidays. The final hotel was overrun with 300+ children and teachers.Though they were better behaved the noise generated by that number is horrendous . Children around a pool are exuberant and run and jump everywhere which is to be expected but as an older group it didn’t make for a relaxing holiday. The hotels and included trips were very good and if you were to go any month other than June it would be a lovely holiday

Deluxe Rocky Mountaineer and Alaskan Cruise

We have just returned from a Rocky Mountaineer and Alaskan Inside Passage cruise on the Konigsdam Holland America ship. The whole experience from arriving in Calgary to our departure from Vancouver 18 days later was so well organised. Our guide John Allen was amazing too, he worked 'above and beyond' and we can't speak highly enough of him and would thank him so much. His knowledge of every area was second to none. ,

Check your documentation thoroughly - Multiple joining point errors - again!

After being abandoned at Istanbul airport on my last Saga/Titan trip I was hoping to have a smooth connection on our trip to Kenya this time. Alas the foolish trust of the ever hopeful... Saga/Titan sent our original holiday documentation immediately after we booked many months in advance. On checking it we discovered the pick up date for the returning taxi was wrong. We informed Saga/Titan by telephone and they sent through revised corrected documentation. So far so good. A fortnight before the holiday departed, Saga/Titan sent us our final holiday documentation. On checking this the taxi date was still correct but the airport terminal for the flight was wrong. It specified 3 rather than 5 and we only found this out by checking the airport website. We informed Saga/Titan by telephone and they sent through revised final documentation with the correct airport terminal. Sadly, although the airport terminal was now correct, the taxi date had reverted to being wrong. In addition we had been provided with two separate flight references which made online check-in a coin toss whether we would be accepted by the airline on the day or not. We called Saga/Titan again to query the errors. The assured us it would be right this time and again sent through final final (definitely this time) final documentation. So far on our five holidays between us with Saga/Titan we have had correct joining information on only 2 occasions. A 40% hit rate. As the chance of your holiday information being incorrect from our experience is a whopping 60% I suggest you check all your joining details, flights, and hotels with a fine-toothed comb to avoid being left standing with your baggage outside a strange airport alone in the rain wondering what on earth to do next... This is supposed to be a prestige holiday company but patently do not check their own communications regarding what is an extremely important, distressing, and anxiety-inducing part of the holiday. Please confirm what action is being taken to ensure this does not happen again. (NB. I avoided mentioning the near-death experience balloon crash the group had while on this trip and the 7 and a half hour flight delay on the way home as neither are under the purview of Saga/Titan.)

Travel Essence organised an amazing trip through the wild places of Australia

We came across Travel Essence when Googling “off the beaten track” travel in Australia and they proved to be exactly what we needed. Kieran was very knowledgeable and immediately understood the type of trip we were hoping for. We needed an itinerary that incorporated a five night snorkelling boat trip and a second thirteen night boat trip through the Kimberley that we were going to book ourselves. Kieran made many excellent suggestions for places to visit and stay in very remote parts of north Western Australia and the Top End, driving distances were just right to experience a taste of a “road trip” without taking up too much time and the proposed internal flights meant we could cover a large area. All the arrangements for accommodation, hire car and places to stay worked without fault. We were supplied with extremely comprehensive written details. Communication from the team back in London was always prompt, friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend this company highly enough to organise an amazing, bespoke adventure in Australia.

An amazing New Zealand adventure

Kieran and the team at Travel essence planned our six-week retirement adventure in New Zealand. The experiences they recommended have created memories that will stay with us for many years. Staying in small-scale accommodations, rather than large hotels, felt so personal and our hosts passed on their tips and knowledge of their area. We saw so much more of the country than we would have done otherwise.

Fantastic holiday

We had been invited to a family wedding in Australia and decided to take the opportunity to add on a few weeks in New Zealand for a special holiday. Planning started 15 months before the wedding! I found the Travelessence website quite by chance but was impressed with the content and gave them a call. Kieran took time to understand where we would like to go the sort of accommodation we like to stay in, the activities we might like to take part in, and our budget. The online video was also useful, as it changed our decision from starting in the North Island and moving to the South, to the opposite way! Kieran was always happy to make any changes and eventually the final itinerary was decided. The documentation we received was detailed and informative and covered everything from flights to car hire, accommodation directions and contact details, information on each of the areas and emergency contact information. We had an amazing time, stayed in some fabulous places, saw fantastic scenery, met lots of fellow travellers and great hosts. The highlight for us was an overnight boat trip on the Doubtful Sound, truly awesome!

Fantastic month long honeymoon in New Zealand

TravelEssence planned our month-long honeymoon in New Zealand in March and we cannot recommend them enough. From the first enquiry, Kieran was friendly, responsive and knowledgeable and he helped us plan the most incredible four weeks based on our interests and preferences. Visiting the South Island of NZ and Australia

Like other reviewers, I thought Kieran's advice and subsequent travel itinerary were spot on. So was the support and help from Lisette and other team members. We had a fantastic trip round the South Island of NZ and spent some time in Sydney and Melbourne, including trips to the Blue Mountains, the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians. A memorable holiday all round and I would certainly recommend Travel Essence to anyone wanting to plan a similar trip.

Absolutely excellent

Kieran spent well over 2 hours with us in our initial meeting planning an extensive 5 week tour of Australia. Then we tweaked the plan over a number of extra meetings. He added small but vital tips about where to stop for provisions and what to look out for. The whole trip was meticulously planned and the excursions well worth doing. The helicopter trip in the Barossa especially. He could not have been more helpful or well-informed.

New Zealand & Australia

We came across Travel Essence at the Destinations travel show in Manchester whilst we were planning a three month trip to New Zealand and Australia. We signed up to two of their webinars hosted by Kieran, one on New Zealand and one on Australia, with the sole purpose of getting further insights to help in our planning. We were really impressed with Kieran’s knowledge, direct experience and openness and the lack of any sales pressure so we followed up with a personal meeting with him to explore further. Kieran was attentive, friendly, inquisitive and listened to our interests and offered some great advice and went away and planned a fantastic bespoke itinerary which we progressively tweaked and refined through a number of sessions with him. He was very flexible and keen to ensure we got quality and value for money. There were parts of our trip in Australia that we self organised and Kieran would work around that and also offer suggestions for those parts of our trip not supported by Travel Essence. The planning was exceptional and that was borne out by our experience. We were in New Zealand for 9 weeks and the accommodation, route and pacing were all first class. We stayed in some wonderful places, in a variety of accommodation each offering something a little different and bespoke. Some of the pre organised trips built around our interests were superb. The Doubtful Sound overnight trip was particularly memorable. Everything was really smooth even interlocking the parts we organised in Australia with those that Travel Essence organised , a testament to the back office support through Lisette which was also first rate. I can’t recommend Travel Essence highly enough. A very friendly yet professional set up offering a bespoke quality service at a competitive price.

New Zealand and Australia trip 2024

TravelEssence UK put together a personalised itinerary for a trip to New Zealand South Island and Australia. It was extremely varied and very interesting. The accommodation suited our needs and gave us the opportunity to stay in a wide range of places including hotels, private accommodation and also a farm. We were give lots of information before the trip. Unfortunately, due to bad weather some of our activities were canceled. TravelEssence provided very prompt refunds. They provided excellent support throughout the trip.

Perfect Trip Away

We contacted Travel Essence and had a chat with Kieran who advised us to attend one of his presentations about Australia. We were skeptical about this as we thought we knew where we wanted to go! We couldn't have been more wrong. The presentation was insightful and following a further discussion with Kieran we changed our plans and headed for an amazing trip to Sydney, Tasmania and Melbourne area. I loved how Kieran listened to our likes and included excursions that met these interests including seeing wild Tasmania devils, seafood cruises and kayaking. We also had an amazing helicopter flight around the Grampians. We did change our length of stay and it wasn't ever difficult for Travel Essence to oblige. We are already planning a trip to NZ with them now.

TravelEssence gave us sound advice, tweaked their proposals to suit our particular needs, made numerous bookings on our behalf, and enabled us to have a better, richer holiday in New Zealand than if we'd tried to do it by ourselves. Overall, it was a very rewarding experience.

New Zealand ( Aotearoa ) what a fantastic country to visit We had the holiday of a life time all organised by Travel Essence The planning was excellent and all went very smoothly We were advised on what to do by Kieran his advice was spot on ref what to do what to see etc He recommended a min of 2 to 3 night stays and that in its self was brilliant as the travelling between stop overs for only one night would not allow you to see all the sights plus you would be exhausted by constant driving ( although the roads are excellent ) I really wish we had gone for 8 weeks instead of 5 and had chosen some 4 night stops All in all the holiday of a life time. As we had previously travelled with… As we had previously travelled with Travel Essence to Australia, where we had enjoyed a marvelous holiday, it made perfect sense to go with them again. Our holiday was split between Tasmania, where we spent a week and then five weeks in New Zealand. Travel Essence arranged all our travel to Australia and then onto New Zealand via Melbourne. They organised a total of 3 hire cars for us in Tasmania, and both the South and North islands in New Zealand and all transactions, pick ups and drop offs went smoothly. In New Zealand the self drive tour took in every type of landscape across the islands allowing us to really discover and enjoy the country and the people and wildlife living there. Each holiday is organised individually, with activities planned around your preferences, hence we went on boat trips, kayak trips, into towns, villages, had guides taking us around local landmarks and also enjoyed trekking across the vast open spaces up and around the mountains and the coast. We mainly spent 3 nights at each location, where the hosts would provide a superb breakfast and provide maps and ideas about places to visit or in our case walk to. On our travels we met several other holiday makers also touring with Travel Essence and we all agreed it was real value for money and that their careful planning made our holidays stress free, relaxing and really enjoyable. The detailed itineraries that we received allowed us to always know where we should be and what we would be doing. Great fun.

Excellent communication from our initial contact at a travel show to our fantastic trip. Throughout the whole process we experienced excellent service. The whole process was easy, and they produced an excellent itinerary for us to review before agreeing our trip.
