Depending on your driver, it may be possible to see more sites or for them to take photos for you. However, this is not guaranteed as it’s not part of the Kuala Lumpur city tour package price. Note that your driver is not a tour guide.

The tour ends around 3pm with hotel drop off. This tour is a great way to snap photos of many of the most famous sites around KL with limited time!

KL Hop-On Hop-Off Sightseeing Bus Pass – Best Kuala Lumpur City Bus Tour

KL Hop On Hop Off Bus

A Kuala Lumpur city tour hop on hop off is a fantastic option for getting around the city and exploring the top attractions. There is both a red and green line which meet at Bukit Bintang. Both lines take you to famous attractions all around the city.

You can purchase either a 24 hour Kuala Lumpur city hop on bus tour, or a 48 hour tour, with buses operating from 9am to 6pm. Bus wait times are between 30 and 40 minutes, and you can start the day anywhere! Head to KL Tower and see the best views over the city, then visit the Bird Park and see one of the largest bird enclosures in the world. Visit Masjid Jamek, the National Museum, the Petronas Towers… The list goes on!

The hop-on hop-off bus is the best option for visitors who want the flexibility to choose their own attractions, and the convenience of having transport taken care of!

Kuala Lumpur City Full Day Tour – Best One Day Kuala Lumpur City Tour

malaysia Kuala Lumpur attractions National Mosque

See the best of Kuala Lumpur with this 7.5 hour full day tour of the city. Running between 9am and 4:30pm, this tour visits many of the most popular tourist attractions and destinations around Kuala Lumpur. It packs a lot into one day.

The tour starts with a visit to the Royal Selangor Pewter – recognised by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest pewter tankard in the world. You’ll climb the steps at Batu Caves and see the view from above before exploring the cave temple.

You can snap photos of the Petronas Towers and the King’s Palace, haggle at Petaling Street, walk around Merdeka Square and enjoy both the National Mosque and museum. There’s plenty more included in this tour too including a delicious lunch.

Your driver acts as guide and takes you to each destination in an air-conditioned van, making this both a comfortable and convenient tour.

Batu Caves Private Tour

Batu Caves

One of the most popular Kuala Lumpur city tour places is Batu Caves, and this tour takes you straight there with a private transfer. This tour is great for those that want an in-depth look at Batu Caves and an easy way to get there.

This three hour tour includes a visit to Batu Caves, a stop at Chong Batik where you can see artists at work and a visit to the interesting Royal Selangor Pewter Factory. All this is done in three hours.

The highlight is walking up the colourful steps at Batu Caves and entering the cathedral like cave temple. There’s also a tall statue of the deity Murugan – the second tallest in the world.

Tour times range from 9am to 12pm and 1:30pm to 4:30pm, so you can select a time that suits you. We recommend a morning tour as it’s generally less busy. When it comes to budget, this Kuala Lumpur city tour price is affordable.

Private Tour: Kuala Lumpur Half Day Shopping, Leisure & SPA Tour

Chinatown Kuala Lumpur

One of the best ways to enjoy Kuala Lumpur is to get actively involved in the city. This private tour is all about exploring and enjoying the amenities KL has to offer on your own terms!

As part of this tour, you’ll experience a one hour massage at a traditional spa, complete with ginger tea, and enjoy a locally prepared lunch/dinner (depending on your tour time).

These 6 hour tours depart at both 9am and 2pm, so you can take either a morning or evening tour. Whilst there are plenty of opportunities for taking photos, the real highlights of this tour are exploring the locally made goods at Central Market, shopping and eating in the vibrant atmosphere of Chinatown, and seeing the city from above at the KL Tower (with tickets to the observation deck included in your tour).

There’s plenty of time for shopping, in addition to exploration and relaxation, and your guide can recommend the top spots to spend your hard earned cash.

Religion Culture And Heritage Half Day Tour – Best Half Day Kuala Lumpur City Tour

Thanks a lot for the discount

It was just amazing. Honestly, I was not expecting it to be so good. Starting with staff, very helpful. The tour itself tries to show us the main attractions to watch by night. It keeps us well entertained and tells us a bit of each building story.

Went with my teens and parents, staff were friendly and the ride was pleasant. Something different to appreciate our beautiful country as we pass by the buildings daily without having a second look, last night was truly eye opening

Very nice tour at night, very friendly and curious staff

So you’re in KL but you just don’t know where to go or what to do? Why not experience the wonders of KL on a bus tour?

This is perfect for those new to the area who wants to explore and see what’s really in KL.

For those experienced KL people, you can also join this if you wanna relax and see the city lights for two hours without actually driving (traffic, hello?).

With the KL Hop On Hop Off bus, the public can enjoy a 2-hour open-top drive in the city to explore the beauty and vibrancy of Kuala Lumpur after dark called the KL City Of Lights (Night Tour) .

kuala lumpur city lights tour

Where Will You Visit

On this 2-hour tour, the bus will roam around 12 attractions and stop by for 10 minutes around 4 stops. The attractions during nighttime are focused on places with mesmerizing lights.

kuala lumpur city lights tour

Among the places that you’ll go through are:

  • Sg Wang Plaza (Pickup & Drop Point)
  • Saloma Link
  • Central Market
  • Little India
  • National Palace
  • Merdeka Square
  • River of Life
  • Istana Budaya

You’ll only stop by KL Tower, National Palace, River of Life and also KLCC for 10 minutes. There, you can quickly get off the bus for a 10-minute photo session with the place.

kuala lumpur city lights tour

But all of this would depend on the traffic situation at the time. If the traffic is congested and there’s no room for the bus parks (especially KLCC), you might have to get your pics only from the bus.

How To Buy Tickets

At night, there’s only one slot, which is at 8 pm. So for those who wanna go on the trip, you would have to be there physically 30 minutes before so you don’t miss the bus. Their only boarding and drop-off station is at Stop 1 Bukit Bintang (located next to Sungei Wang Plaza’s main entrance).

kuala lumpur city lights tour

You can get the tickets online , with an authorized agent, or physically at their ticket station only at Main Kiosk Stop 1 Bukit Bintang.

The tickets are priced as below:

Malaysians Adult – RM35 Children – RM20

Non-Malaysians Adult – RM55 Children – RM30

When you’re buying the tickets, keep in mind that you’re not booking the seats (free seating concept). The seats are on a first come first serve basis, so whoever comes first gets the best seats!

Also, no food or drinks are allowed while you’re on the bus, but you can bring along your mineral water.

They Have Their Day Tours Too

For the day trip, it’s even cheaper and it tours a lot more places (but it’s hotter though).

They have two options for the day tour, one during the weekdays (Ronda Ronda KL) and one during the weekends (Hop On Hop Off). For the day trips, they have around 17 attractions like these:

  • Swiss Garden
  • National Museum
  • Lake Garden
  • National Mosque

The weekday ride is a similar 2-hour tour as the night trip while the weekend ride is based on a Hop On Hop Off / Excursion concept.

kuala lumpur city lights tour

For day trips on weekends, you can hop on at any 17 stops listed there (buy tickets physically on the bus) and hop off at any stop to spend time there. If you want to travel to another stop, you’ll just have to wait at the bus stop every 30-40 minutes and another bus will come to pick you up.

Check out their Facebook and website for more info on timing and prices.

Just to clarify, these ‘Hop On Hop Off’ rides are different from Go KL bus rides (free rides around KL) and Rapid KL bus rides (paid rides around KL).

Happy Touring, peeps!
