This December 21st show in Cedar Rapids was incredible! I attended seven shows in Branson, MO, November 13, 14, and 15th. That was less than a month ago. Home Free was as entertaining as anything I experienced there! I would rate this totally vocal acapella group right up there with the Clay Cooper Show!
Considering this show travels nightly and does not have a permanent stage, props, lighting, I consider this a brilliantly crafted and talented musical and comedy show! If you have not found them on You Tube or seen them in person, you are missing out on a fabulous experience! So...when is this group coming to Dubuque?

It was AMAZING! I went to see them in April and this time I think was even better! The songs were all amazing and I was singing along with all of them. By the time I left the stadium, my voice was almost gone from singing and cheering with the crowd and the songs. I want to try and go see them again soon, and maybe get VIP next time. They are also great at interacting with the crowd on the songs as well and tell jokes or funny stories about their recent events. I just can’t tell you enough how much I enjoyed them and will forever be a fan. - Tennessee Home Free fan.
I have not seen Home Free live yet,but I will 0n December 23rd in welch. Mn. I have been absolutely fascinated by them, and I have never been a country music person before now. I recently lost my mother and father within 19 days of each other and when I heard home free sing I was in heaven. I am driving from minot north Dakota for this concert(8 hour drive) but I'm sure it will be well worth it. Thank you for Bringing a light back into my life. Love you g ju ys.

Home Free is one of the best harmonizing singing performers ever! They sing with their hearts and it shows as they connect with their audience. Very entertaining and talented guys. I’m impressed with how they always make their shows family clean and give thanks for their success to many people including God. Good guys.
Just love the guys. Only thing I was put off with was the Venue. A night club with no seating is not the best for older people. Next time it would have to be in a better venue if I was to see them again. Travelled from TOWNSVILLE to Melbourne to stand. Wasn’t happy. The guys were perfection and I did enjoy them.
Absolutely fantastic show ...fantastic sound , definitely worth the trip , loved every minute ...only one complaint , 3 and a half hours standing was a bit hard for us old folk ...hope they come to Q PAC next time ....would definitely go again and take our friends
I attended the concert in Oslo 30.08.18 and it was just fabulous and a really amazing great show. They gave it all and everyone really bid on their self. I would recommend to go a listen to them if you got the opportunity or choose to be a patreon on youtube <3
Home free is awesome!!! You can watch all the videos and concerts on Utube but that is no comparison to their live concerts. Loved Tims dog just roaming the stage in Branson. He needs to roam a little more! Can't wait to see them again soon.
The Home Free concert was awesome! A totally fun experience with laughs, amazing music, and audience participation! I'm sure we all came away with an incredible 'feel good' feeling that will stay with us for a long time!

Vocal group Home Free announce UK and European tour dates for Autumn ’23
A year of international touring continues for all-vocal Country entertainers Home Free, with the announcement of their fifteen-date Road Sweet Road headline tour across the UK & Europe later in 2023, starting September 13 in Berlin.
“Last time we were in Europe we unfortunately had to cancel a bunch of shows due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Rob Lundquist of Home Free. “We’re looking forward to coming back under much better circumstances and playing for crowds we haven’t been able to see for a long time. Get ready Euro-Fries!”
This follows the release of their latest full-length record, ‘ So Long Dixie’ , the launch of their USA headline tour, and their long awaited return to Australia for the CMC Rocks festival in March.
More recently, the band have announced their return to CMA Fest in Nashville next month, and shared a new collaboration with Brooke Eden, their version of the Larry Collins & Alex Harvey classic ‘Delta Dawn’, originally made famous by Tanya Tucker in 1972.
“Delta Dawn is an absolute classic we’ve been talking about covering for a long time,” shares Austin Brown. “We just needed to find the perfect voice to really embody that sound everyone knows while also bringing new life to a crowd favorite. Brooke did all that and more. We are so excited to share our version with you!”
“We’ve been wanting to put the Home Free spin on Delta Dawn for a while but were waiting for the right collaborator,” adds Tim Foust. “Fortunately, the amazing Brooke Eden came on tour with us, and we mentioned it to her. As luck would have it, the song is also a favorite of hers because her mom sang it to her as a child! The rest, as they say, is history.”

Home Free Announces European Tour: ‘We Are Beyond Thrilled’
Home Free is heading overseas! The five-man group announces they will embark on a European tour this fall, kicking off on September 13 in Berlin, Germany. Home Free will perform 15 dates in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, before wrapping up with three shows in England.
“We’re taking our talents to Europe this summer to continue our Road Sweet Road tour abroad!” Home Free announces on social media. “Our last Euro trip got cut short by something called COVID. You may have heard of it. But we are BEYOND THRILLED to return and finish what we started!!”
🚨 HUGE NEWS ALERT 🚨 We're taking our talents to Europe this summer to continue our Road Sweet Road tour abroad! Our last Euro trip got cut short by something called COVID. You may have heart of it. But we are BEYOND THRILLED to return and finish what we started!! Tickets go… pic.twitter.com/0xMbXwErib — Home Free (@HomeFreeGuys) May 15, 2023
Home Free first announced the news to their Patreon community, recalling how disappointing it was to have to cancel their 2020 European Tour short because of the pandemic.
“It was a huge bummer at the time to have to skip on out of town, and it was actually quite difficult and uncertain with the potential looming border closures, but that’s a story for another time,” Home Free recounts. “The story today is that we’re finally coming back!”
Home Free still remembers how disappointed they were when they had to cancel the remainder of the European tour, and how challenging it was to suddenly get home before flights were shut down.
“It was like whiplash,” Tim Foust previously told Everything Nash . “We were literally in the middle of a European tour and we had to cut it short. We had stayed up till 2:00 AM, Europe time, to see the Presidential address. He said we were going to be banning flights from Europe. So the first thing we did was get on the phone and say, ‘Delta, get us home ASAP.’
“It was very jarring in a 24-hour period to go from being in the middle of a tour on the other side of the world, to being on our couches in our homes, not really knowing if we could or should even leave our houses,” he continued. “It was one of the more jarring experiences I’ve ever had.”
Once Home Free realized that their tour was over, at least for the foreseeable future, the following hours were a whirlwind of doing everything they could to get home as quickly as they could.
“We were up at 2:00 AM. Nobody went to bed,” Austin Brown remembered. “We saw the address. I was at the airport with two of my bandmates at 4:00 AM and on a flight at 6:00. We just up and left from Munich to home in an instant. We got home and it was one of those things that, for a second, it was kind of a nice break. It was like, ‘Oh, this is kind of interesting.’ And then it was like, ‘Wait, are we going to get to go back on tour?’”
Home Free has plenty of dates on the calendar for the next few months, including a performance at CMA Fest . See a list of their European tour dates below. Find all of their music and a list of their upcoming shows at HomeFreeMusic.com .

Home Free (20th September 2023, Hamburg)
Home Free – the a capella country band has built a fan base all over the world nowadays. I was really happy when they published to tour Germany in September 2023. However, the Cologne date clashed with my vacation planning, so that I traveled up to the North of Germany for the show. The US band played at the Fabrik in Hamburg on 20th September 2023.
This posting comes with 417 major size pictures as part of the concert gallery .
Fabrik Hamburg – About The Venue
The Fabrik (which simply translates to “Factory”) is a venue in Ottensen in the Altona district of Hamburg. The area also features other venues and a bunch of restaurants and similar facilities. The closest way to get there is taking the bus to the stop Fabrik . It is serviced by lines 115, 150 and 621. Alternatively, it is also a not that long walk from Altona train station, which is serving all kinds of regional services as well as national high speed rail connections. Another close stop is Ottensen , a train stop used by the S1 and S11 S-Bahn commuter rail. The capacity of the Fabrik is roughly 1,200.
Home Free – About The Artists
Home Free are active since 2001, when they have been formed in Mankato, Minnesota. They have worked in several lineups, the most recent I found is Austin Brown, Rob Lundquivst, Adam Rupp, Tim Foust and Adam Chance. This lineup is constant since 2016. While the first albums of the a capella country music act, it was finally the fifth studio album of the band, Crazy Life, which lead to Home Free’s breakthrough. The album peaked eighth in the US Country Album Charts. Since then, the band is releasing music very regularly. In 2022, for example, they had two long play releases, The Sounds of Lockdown and So Long Dixie . The latter is the fifteenth studio album of the band.
Home Free – The Show
The tour started with a surprise: Before the show, Home Free have run into Musketeer , a street musician, who is originally from Australia , but feels to be a rather well-known act in the Hamburg street music scene. Spontaneously, the band asked him whether he wants to open for them – and thus, everybody was kind of surprised that the show started at 19:30 with an act who was not on their list. The three song (15 minute) set was really nice, though. I especially enjoyed the second one Borderline , which Musketeer wrote during a touring trip when their car broke down in Budapest and the next stage was planned to be Istanbul. The confusion included the security, which did not fully know how to handle the situation. But overall, the Fabrik had a really relaxed evening, so that everything went smoothly.
Home Free opened the first of their roughly 45 minute sets very few minutes after schedule. The band felt extremely kind, starting from that water has been served to the (mostly female) fans in the first row. Their songs, including Boondocks and Road Sweet Road , cheered up the fans from the very beginning. However, the quintet also took quite some time chatting with the fans and telling them stories around the band and their songs. Statements ranged from We are the world’s first all vocal country band to reminding the audience that their merchandise manager is still single. However, the show did no feel too much like the one of a country band – the range of songs by Home Free is nowadays much larger than that.
After a some twenty minute intermission, the band came back on stage at 21:08. After opening with Everybody Walkin’ This Land, there was a highlight for beat box fans. A more than fifteen minute beat box solo illustrated the amazing talents and qualities by Adam Rupp. However, this rather long block made the second part of the set feel rather compact. The Home Free version of John Denver’s classic Take Me Home, Country Roads were the sing-a-long highlight of the day. After a medley, Home Free left the stage after some 39 minute minutes again. However, the encore with shanty classics like The Wellerman and Drunken Sailor as well as the Ring of Fire boosted the evening to a final highlight.

Home Free – My View
Home Free underlined their amazing talent in Hamburg that evening. The show was really close to fans (including that they gave away a backstage pass to meet them after the show). If you want to have a unique country music night, you are likely wrong – there is a wide range of other styles and genres in their setlist as well. This evening in Hamburg was a very nice evening of amazing talent in a lovely venue, even though I feel that the range of music was maybe a bit too wide.

2 thoughts on “ Home Free (20th September 2023, Hamburg) ”
I would like to point out, though, that while not all songs are originally country songs, all songs are countryfied and have more country sound and feel than the original pop or rock song had. It’s also, of course, acapella, which you didn’t seem to take into account in your personal review, which makes it a completely unique genre from regular country music and the country sound along with their arrangements also make it a competent unique genre from regular acapella. I feel that these things are what makes Home Free Home Free and if anyone goes to one of their concerts expecting pure, regular country or pure, regular acapella they simple have not done their homework, which is upon them and does not reflect on the band and the performance. They as well as their concerts are unique, so why would you even compare them?
Hi Carina, thanks for your comment. I would not say that I nowadays would expect country music only and I also agree to your “countryfied” argument. However, I also feel that the range of songs is really wide and you have a very wide spectrum of different sounds, from country songs, party and dance music to beatboxing. This may feel disturbing to some visitors – and that’s all I wanted to point out in the report. It is more like giving people another chance “to do their homework”, as you said. Cheers, Florian

Travis Kelce Will Continue to Support Taylor Swift at Overseas Shows: They’ve Had a ‘Wonderful Time in Europe’
- Oops! Something went wrong. Please try again later. More content below
Travis Kelce is ready to continue traveling across Europe after taking in the views with Taylor Swift while on her Eras Tour .
“He wants to support her as much as he can while he can, so he’s going to [go] back and forth from the U.S. to Europe while he has the time,” a source exclusively tells Us Weekly , adding that the couple have had a “wonderful time in Europe so far.”
The insider went on to note that “for now, [Travis] can arrange his schedule to be with [Taylor]” ahead of the 2024-2025 NFL season , which he and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs, will kick off with a September 5 game against the Baltimore Ravens at their home field, Arrowhead Stadium.
The source tells Us there’s “one thing” Kelce and Swift, both 34, “plan to do more of” when he once again joins her across the pond: “home and décor shopping.”
Every Time Travis Kelce Supported Taylor Swift at Her ‘Eras Tour’ Concerts
“They love going antique shopping and she’s been helping him pick out some things for his new house in Kansas,” the insider shares.
Swift’s Eras Tour kickstarted their romance as Kelce tried — and failed — to give her a friendship bracelet with his number on it at one of her July 2023 Kansas City performances. The two privately connected before Swift confirmed romance rumors by cheering on Kelce at a September 2023 Chiefs game .
Swift began the European leg of the tour in Paris earlier this month, during which she added a new section to the show featuring songs from her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department . Among the track list additions is the song “So High School,” one of many tunes Swifties have speculated is about Kelce .
The number, which serves as an outro to Swift’s performance of “But Daddy I Love Him,” had several nods to Kelce . In addition to the stage’s steps and screen featuring projections to look like bleachers and stadium lights, eagle-eyed fans noticed the song’s choreography incorporates some of Kelce’s touchdown dances .
Kelce watched her perform the song live for himself at her May 12 Paris show , which just so happened to be her 87th concert on the tour (the same number as his Chiefs jersey). Attendees spotted the athlete singing along with Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper at the show, as well as filming with his camera flash on and cupping his hands on his mouth during the song “Vigilante S--t.” (Not to mention, Swift subtly shouted out the Chiefs by sporting their team colors on some of her new costumes.)
“ I had a blast at Tay’s show. Her new rendition of The Eras Tour, I suggest everybody go see it,” Travis gushed on the May 15 episode of his and his brother Jason Kelce ’s “New Heights” podcast . “It has her new Tortured Poets Department [album], a handful of those songs in the new show, which means there’s a new segment and new lights and new dancing, new everything to the f--king show. I suggest everybody get out there and see [her]. It is absolutely unbelievable.”
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Relationship Timeline: From Chiefs Games to Private Date Nights
In addition to spending time in Paris, Travis and Swift recently enjoyed a short romantic getaway to Lake Como, Italy . Travis traveled back to the U.S. for his second annual Kelce Jam music festival last weekend, at which he named “So High School” as one of his favorite Swift songs .
Swift, meanwhile, followed up her Paris performances by traveling to Stockholm, Sweden. The tour will stop in Lisbon, Portugal, next before hitting more countries and concluding the European leg in London in August. Swift will return to the U.S. for more shows in Florida, Louisiana and Indiana this fall before wrapping up the tour with Canada shows in November and December.
