A UNIQUE WAY TO EXPERIENCE THE WINDY CITY!
Set up a virtual beer tasting/happy hour for our team living throughout the country. Bruce was the best guide into the flavors, smells and history of the four beers we had the opportunity to try. My entire team could not of asked for a better virtual couple hours. Highly recommend to beer drinkers and non beer drinkers alike.
My favorite part of our virtual beer tasting was tasting five different beers and learning what made them different. Bruce's knowledge of beer history, Chicago beer history, and the current Chicago beer scene made the evening memorable. We had such fun!!!
The Virtual hoppy hour was great. Bruce is knowledgeable, approachable, and fun! We had a great time and Bruce was flexible with an unpredictable group. Our group called in from across the US and Bruce was able to speak to the beers from every tasters glass.
I had the pleasure of attending a Virtual Hoppy Hour! It was so fun! Bruce led the group and was very lively and entertaining, with a lot of thought given to the presentation! Beer basics, beer stories and interesting Chicago history!! I thought it was a nice change of pace - a fun group activity!

Chicago Food and Drink Tours
Midwesterners know how to weather bleak, long winters: with lovingly crafted, down-home American food. For those who partake, a locally crafted frothy beer takes the edge off a long work day as well. Chicago, Illinois is the Great Lakes capital of American foods, and it takes a well-heeled guide to correctly lead you to the best offerings during your pleasant visit.
Every Chicago food tour enjoys a specialization and may combine different dining and experience combinations in their offerings. If you have a thirst for handcrafted beverages, there are tours designed to take advantage of the region’s long love affair with brewing. You’ll discover those secret bars, speakeasies, and pubs slightly off the beaten path but high in quality and flavor. Rather than waste time at chains, you’ll be served in locally-owned spots with a chance to sample bacon, pizza, hot dogs, or whatever else happens to be on the menu at these establishments.
Some tours concentrate on neighborhood eats; the best burgers, donuts, popcorn, and pizza, all sure to tempt your taste buds. A few tours add a historic flavor to the visit, as guides explain how dining options formed up during the famed World’s Food Fair of 1893. Tours offer benefits such as small groups and companionship, skipping lines a popular tourist locales like Navy Pier, and a complete explanation of the culinary history and architecture of the restaurants.
If you’re concerned about packing on the calories and feeling tired from overeating, you needn’t worry. There’s plenty of opportunity to exercise between stops, and you can choose how much you want to indulge or overindulge. These dining and drinking tours are generally walking tours from one fun destination to another, though there are also biking tours that combine the hedonism of pub dining and the joy of cycling.
- Chicago Food Planet Tours : This well-rated tour focuses on locales like Navy Pier, the West Loop, and Chinatown when guiding hungry tourists through town.
- Chicago Beer Experience Tours : Three locations and three tours with a guide who knows the brews and news surrounding these Chicago sites.
- Chicago Detours : Tour guides fill you in as you fill up on pub grub or market food from Chicago’s historic neighborhoods.
- Tastebud Tours : Three different three hour tours with five to six stops, each is sure to satisfy visitors exploring Chicago cuisine.
- Bobby’s Bike Hike : Get yourself good and hungry with the Bikes, Bites, and Brew tour by pedaling your path to comfort food.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will local chicagoans enjoy your tours.
Absolutely! More than half of our guests are local to the Chicagoland area, and they always say the same thing: “I learned so much about Chicago’s history and restaurant scene that I didn’t know!” Locals who come on our tours will find their new favorite date night spot, and can impress their visiting friends with all their Chicago “insider” knowledge.
I hate feeling like a tourist. Will the guide have a bullhorn and an umbrella?
Yeah, we hate that, too. And, no, no umbrellas or bullhorns. Our guides feel more like part of the group. They’re friendly without being annoying, and they don’t just recite a script. We hire people who love this city, and we train them extensively to make their job look effortless. No cringey tourist stuff, we promise.
This seems like a lot to spend on sample bites. How much do we get to eat?
No need to make reservations for after the tour. You’ll enjoy the equivalent of a full meal or more on our food tours.
What happens if it rains or snows?
Rain or shine, you gotta eat! Unless the weather looks like it’ll threaten the safety of our guests or guides, the tours will run in most conditions. If it’s too wet or cold, we’ll just spend more time indoors at our restaurant partners. And we’ve got some snazzy ponchos for you just in case.
Can you accommodate my dietary restriction?
If you let us know when you book your tour, we CAN provide vegetarian-friendly tasting, but we CANNOT offer alternatives or substitutions for any other allergies (including lactose intolerant) or dietary restrictions (including vegan and gluten free). Vegetarian-friendly options must be requested in advance during the ticket purchase process.

Joey Fatone and AJ McLean pair up for *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys greatest hits trek
The singers celebrate a behind-the-scenes look at their boy-band success via their playful “legendary night” tour..
Alex “AJ” McLean (left) and Joey Fatone perform on “A Legendary Night” tour, which stops at the Salt Shed in Chicago on June 1.
Jeffrey Auger Photography
The set list for each show on Joey Fatone and Alex “AJ” McLean’s “ A Legendary Night ” tour is determined, in part, by a roll of the dice.
No, seriously.
During each concert, the ’90s boy band veterans throw a giant, inflatable die into the audience . When one lucky fan holds up the die, the number facing the stage determines the selection from a list of songs, including everything from Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” to Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
That brand of whimsy and interactivity is a hallmark of the joint tour, which, of course, includes plenty of classic *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys tunes backed by a live band. Launched in March, the tour has been met with so much success that the duo added dates, including a Saturday show at The Salt Shed in Chicago.
McLean said fans have been wanting to see the two groups collaborate for years, and he acknowledged the fresh buzz around *NSYNC, which recently recorded new songs “Better Place” and “Paradise,” and performed live at Justin Timberlake’s Los Angeles concert in March.
While fans continue to demand more official reunions, Fatone and McLean are excited to play *NSYNC’s hits alongside the Backstreet Boys’ jams.
“Joey and I are very much two peas in a pod,” said McLean, 46, of the Backstreet Boys. “We’re both girl dads. We’re both kind of free-spirited. We’re both hams. There’s just a certain connection that we have that really translates during the show. Everyone’s like, ‘I can’t wait to see it again.’”
Fatone, 47, also praised the duo’s chemistry in the show, where they also tell stories and invite fans onto the stage to sit on a couch while they perform .
“This is a [way] to say, ‘Hey, thanks for being both of our fans from Backstreet and *NSYNC for all these years,” Fatone said.
View this post on Instagram A post shared by Joey Fatone & AJ McLean (@joeyandaj_present)
The joint tour is the latest in a series of ventures for Fatone, who has tapped into the nostalgia market with shows featuring other artists. “Joey Fatone and Friends” at Walt Disney World’s Epcot has included Ryan Cabrera, *NSYNC member Chris Kirkpatrick and Boyz II Men singer Nathan Morris. “The After Party” show in Las Vegas has included Boyz II Men’s Wanyá Morris, as well as McLean and his Backstreet Boys bandmate Nick Carter. Fatone has also recruited McLean, Dee Snider, Bret Michaels and Creed’s Scott Stapp for corporate events.
“I’ve been really hands-on with doing all of this stuff,” said Fatone, who lives in Orlando. “Back in the day when I was younger, I didn’t know about touring, and I was doing the stadiums and not paying attention to the [speakers and amps] and production. This is fun.”
Backstreet Boys’ Alex “AJ” McLean performs during “A Legendary Night” tour.
When it comes to “A Legendary Night,” attendees can expect to see some of the classic *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys choreography.
“He’s done a little bit of ‘Bye Bye Bye’ with me,” Fatone said. “I’m waiting for him to teach me the chair dance that they do [for ‘As Long As You Love Me’]. And then maybe a little bit of ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).’ ... He hasn’t taught me anything yet.”
McLean admitted he hasn’t gotten around to showing Fatone the moves, including the hat routine for “All I Have to Give.”
“I’m pretty sure he could learn it,” said McLean, who lives in Hidden Hills. “And look, if he gets it 75%, that’s fine. The crowd’s going to eat it up. Obviously, the one thing in that dance routine you don’t want to do is drop the hat. But if he does, it makes it more fun.”
- Backstreet Boys reunited, kick off new tour in Chicago
Fans will also get to hear McLean sing Go West’s “King of Wishful Thinking” and Fatone take the lead on Patrick Swayze’s “She’s Like the Wind.”
“ I didn’t think ‘She’s Like the Wind’ was going to go over well,” Fatone said. “Usually, I’m not a ballad singer. And they’re like, ‘Oh, wow, you can actually sing it.’ ”
During the show, McLean also performs his new solo material, including “Arizona,” a song he wrote about his experience in group therapy at an intensive outpatient program. Over the years, McLean has been transparent about his struggle with addiction.
And he describes mental health challenges as “an epidemic.”
“So, to be able to share my story with people every night all throughout this tour, I’m doing my part to let everybody know that we’re not alone,” he said. “And that loving yourself is what is truly going to change the world.”
*NSYNC’s Joey Fatone sings during “A Legendary Night” tour.
While McLean prepares for a new solo project, Fatone is not sure if he’ll be preparing for an *NSYNC reunion.
“We honestly have not had a conversation about whether things are a hundred percent going to go down,” Fatone said. "[But] I think it’s coming down to that final wire. It’s either yes or no.”
As a fan himself, McLean said he is rooting for *NSYNC to reunite.
“I will say, when I saw them get back together with Justin at the Wiltern [in LA], I kind of got the feels for them,” he said. “It’s like they never skipped a beat. So, I do hope that they do something. Just do it for the fans.”
