How Does the Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Work?

Your guide on how to join, castaway club benefits, and everything else you need to know.

The Castaway Club with Disney Cruise Line is a loyalty program that rewards cruisers with various perks, freebies, and discounts for sailing with Disney Cruise Line multiple times. Membership benefits increase based on the number of cruises you take. Members are categorized into four levels based on how many sailings they’ve completed: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Pearl. Here’s what you need to know to take advantage of this program when sailing with Disney Cruise Line!

How Do I Join the Disney Castaway Club?

You’re automatically enrolled in the Castaway Club after you complete your first sailing with Disney Cruise Line. There’s no formal way to sign up — you simply need to have sailed with DCL previously and use the same information when booking your next cruise. After your first Disney cruise , hang on to your Key to the World card (or write down the Castaway Club number shown on it) for future reference so you can use it when booking your next cruise and logging into your Castaway Club account . The benefits and perks of being a Castaway Club member don’t go into effect until your second (and subsequent) sailing. The great news is you’ll always have a reason to return for another Disney Cruise Line sailing, as you’ll start getting the benefits of being a Castaway Club member on your second cruise!

Castaway Club Benefits

Everyone who is a part of the Castaway Club can access special perks only available to members. Here’s a rundown of the benefits all Castaway Club members receive:

Early Cruise Booking

All Castaway Club members receive early access to new ship bookings and itineraries. How early you’ll get to book these sailings before the general public depends on your membership tier (which we will discuss in detail later). Since inaugural sailings and new itineraries sell out quickly, early booking gives you the best chance to get the cruise you want at the best price possible.

Advanced Cruise Activity Booking

Castaway Club members can book onboard cruise activities, specialty dining , and excursions (which DCL calls “port adventures”) before first-time cruisers, who can book their activities 75 days before sailing. Like early cruise booking, how early you book your activities depends on your membership tier.

Welcome Back Aboard Gift

Every member receives a special gift in their stateroom upon arrival. The type of gift may vary based on your membership tier, the ship you’re sailing on, and the specific itinerary you booked. Gifts change periodically, so it’s unlikely you’ll get the same exact gift twice unless you’re cruising in rapid succession. However, you may receive different versions of a similar gift—like sling bag in various colors. These gifts usually include the “Castaway Club” emblem, ship name, or specialty sailing logo.

White plastic letter tiles, a zipper bag, and an instruction sheet on how to play

A Cruise-O-Grams game previously provided as an onboard gift

Examples of welcome aboard gifts provided in the past have included:

  • Backpack coolers
  • Luggage tags
  • Whiteboards
  • Photo albums
  • Water bottles

Disney recently announced that welcome aboard gifts will be refreshed and updated this summer. Disney also announced that all Castaway Club members will receive a limited-edition Captain Mickey art print in their staterooms to celebrate Disney Cruise Line’s Silver Anniversary at Sea . All members who cruise on any Disney cruise ship between May and September 2023 will receive this special gift.

Exclusive Terminal Check In

Castaway Club members can access a separate member embarkation queue at the port. This allows you to skip the lines and get on the ship as fast as possible!

Earlier Online Check-In / Port Arrival Time Selection

This benefit gives Castaway Club members an earlier chance to complete their online check-in; this gives them a slight head start on selecting their preferred port arrival time, letting them start their time on the ship just a bit earlier than everyone else!

Other Benefits

Castaway Club members receive “exclusive communication” from the club — though updates are pretty sporadic. Members can also access a member-only phone line for cruise planning assistance and questions, saving you hours waiting on hold. However, we recommend skipping staying on hold altogether by having a dedicated Disney Cruise Line Travel Agent, like the ones at The Vacationeer , book your cruise for you!

Castaway Club Levels

disney cruise castaway login

All Castaway Club members are entitled to the benefits listed above. However, how early you can book your cruise and activities, the type of gift you’ll receive, and additional benefits vary depending on your membership tier. There are four Castaway Club tiers currently available. Each level comes with enhanced perks, so the more you sail, the greater your benefits are. Here’s a detailed list of the current tiers and the benefits that accompany each one.

Silver Castaway: 1 to 4 Completed Sailings

Onboard Activity Booking:

90 days prior to sailing

Online Check-In:

33 days prior to sailing

New Ship & Itinerary Booking:

1 day before the general public

Once you’ve stepped off the ship from your first Disney cruise, you’ll automatically become a Silver Castaway Club member. While booking your next cruise, you can take advantage of benefits like early cruise and activity booking. On the ship, you can use the member-only check-in line and receive a welcome aboard gift when you arrive in your stateroom.

Gold Castaway: 5 to 9 Completed Sailings

105 days prior to sailing

35 days prior to sailing

2 days before the general public

Gold members get all the benefits of a Silver membership plus a few extras, including an earlier activity booking window and early access to new sailings. Gold members also get a small discount (about 10%) on select experiences and merchandise aboard. Another benefit is an exclusive onboard reception (**temporarily paused**) for sailings that last longer than eight nights. The reception includes special entertainment, food, and drinks. You’ll also get to meet the ship’s captain. Castaway Club member receptions were paused during the pandemic, and no return date has been announced at the time of publication.

Platinum Castaway: 10 to 24 Completed Sailings

120 days prior to sailing

38 days prior to sailing

3 days before the general public

One of the most sought-after benefits of being a Platinum member is receiving complimentary specialty dining at Palo or Palo Steakhouse . Note: these two dining locations are for adults only; guests must be 18 and older to dine there. Platinum Castaway Club members also receive upgraded welcome aboard gifts, such as boxes of truffles, sparkling wine, or even Bluetooth speakers.

Pearl Castaway (NEW!): 25+ Completed Sailings

123 days prior to sailing

40 days prior to sailing

4 days before the general public

Cruisers who have completed at least 25 Disney Cruises are placed in this brand-new Castaway Club tier that began on May 1, 2023. In addition to all the perks of being a Platinum member, you’ll also receive an unlimited digital download photo package of all the professional photos taken by photographers on the ship. Pearl members will also get an enhanced onboard gift: a pair of pearlescent tumblers with shimmering blush and white accents.

Getting the Most Out of Your Castaway Club Membership

Since you automatically become a Castaway Club member after your first complete sailing with Disney Cruise Line, taking advantage of your membership is easy for your second and following cruises. One of the best ways to take advantage of your membership is to utilize the early booking windows for new cruises and activities. You’ll get the best pricing for your cruise and the first chance to book experiences like excursions, specialty dining, spa experiences, and more.

To advance your membership as quickly as possible, consider booking multiple short cruises. Membership tiers are based on the number of cruises you take, not how many days or miles you sail. This means someone who took three four-day cruises may receive a higher membership level than someone who booked one 14-day cruise.

If you want to collect onboard welcome gifts, sail on different ships with multiple itineraries. Onboard gifts may vary by ship and change at random times, so picking new sailings will give you the best chance for variety.

Everyone connected to your reservation who stays in the same stateroom with you becomes a Castaway Club member—including infants and children. This allows your entire family to enjoy the perks of being a Castaway Club member for the rest of their lives. When your children are old enough to book cruises on their own, they could have already racked up some great perks and be in one of the top membership tiers!

Castaway Club memberships do not necessarily have an expiration date, but you do have to cruise at least fairly regularly to maintain your current level of membership or advance to a higher tier. Make sure that no more than five years passes between cruises or you’ll have to start over at the bottom Castaway Club tier.

Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club loyalty program: Everything you need to know

Gene Sloan

Among the best-known cruise brands, Disney Cruise Line has one of the most modest loyalty programs — even after an upgrade that brought an all-new tier .

Unlike the programs of such cruise operators as Norwegian Cruise Line and Royal Caribbean , the Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club, as it's called, doesn't offer members over-the-top perks such as a free cruise after reaching a top tier. There are no big discounts on shore excursions and spa treatments for members, like lines such as Windstar Cruises offer.

For more cruise guides, news and tips, sign up for TPG's cruise newsletter.

Still, Disney Cruise Line's Castaway Club loyalty program does bring a few valuable perks at its higher-level tiers, including early access to new itineraries and onboard activities.

The Disney loyalty program also makes it relatively easy to reach a high-level tier.

Ways to earn

Earning status in the Castaway Club loyalty program is about as simple as can be. You get a credit for every cruise you take — whether it's three nights long or 10 nights long. That's it. No muss, no fuss. Your status, as we'll explain below, depends entirely on how many cruises you take.

Program tiers and benefits

There are just four tiers in the Castaway Club program, including a new top tier unveiled in 2023:

  • Silver (after one cruise)
  • Gold (after five cruises)
  • Platinum (after 10 cruises)
  • Pearl (after 25 cruises)

Once you reach the first tier of the program (Silver), you will be entitled to exactly six perks. Perhaps the most notable of these is the ability to book in advance for onboard cruise activities such as ticket-only character greetings and specialty restaurant dinners up to 90 days before sailings. This is a big deal in the world of Disney cruises, where some of the hottest activities on ships sell out quickly.

Related: The ultimate guide to Disney Cruise Line

disney cruise castaway login

Silver members can also book new Disney cruise itineraries one day ahead of the general public. That may not seem like much of a head start, but it can be a real advantage when trying to snag the perfect cabin on a hot new itinerary. Disney fans are known to snatch up the best cabins — if not all the cabins — on unique new sailings very quickly.

In addition, Silver members get:

  • Select port arrival time and complete online check-in 33 days in advance of departure
  • Exclusive cruise terminal check-in where available
  • A members-only direct phone line to call for information and assistance
  • A welcome-back-aboard gift

Upon reaching the Gold level, members get all the above perks with three notable upgrades. For starters, they can book onboard cruise activities up to 105 days before sailings. That's 15 days earlier than Silver members. They are also able to book new Disney cruise itineraries two days ahead of the general public.

Plus, they can complete check-in 35 days in advance.

In addition, Gold members get:

  • A private reception for members
  • Special discounts on voyages

Related: 26 tips for sailing on a Disney Cruise Line ship

The third tier of the program, the Platinum level, extends the pre-booking windows even further. Platinum members are able to make advance bookings for onboard cruise activities up to 120 days before sailings. That's 15 days earlier than Gold members and 30 days earlier than Silver members. They are also able to book new Disney cruise itineraries three days ahead of the general public.

For Platinum members, check-in opens 38 days in advance of departures.

In addition, Platinum level members are entitled to a free dinner at Palo , the upscale, adults-only Italian eatery on Disney ships — more on this in a moment.

The elite level that makes a difference

It isn't really until you hit the new Pearl level of the Castaway Club that the perks start to get interesting. The big perk at this level is that you can book new itineraries earlier than everyone else. You also have the earliest possible access to reserve onboard activities.

Specifically, you can make reservations for newly announced itineraries four days before the general public. You can also book activities up to 123 days in advance of sailing.

Related: A beginners guide to cruise line loyalty programs

In the world of Disney, this is a very big deal. As mentioned above, Disney fans are known to snag all the good cabins for a popular sailing the moment a trip goes on sale. Ditto for onboard activities.

In addition, Pearl status also lets you check in for your cruise 40 days in advance of sailing.

One more perk added for Pearl members of Disney Cruise Line's Castaway Club is a complimentary unlimited digital photo package, which is a notable perk.

Disney has lots of official photographers on board its ships to snap photos of you and your kids with princesses and the like. However, it doesn't offer those photos for free. Paying for even a relatively small number of photos taken by these onboard photographers — even in digital form — normally can cost hundreds of dollars.

Best elite perk

Unlike some lines, Disney doesn't offer any truly over-the-top elite perks, such as the free cruise that top-tier members of Royal Caribbean's Crown & Anchor Society get . It's also skimpy on handing out big discounts on shore excursions, spa treatments and other cruise line-sold services to elite members — something some other lines do. Still, there are a few perks that get us at least modestly excited.

The most enticing offering, in our view, is the free dinner that comes with Platinum status at Palo, as noted above.

Related: The best credit cards for booking cruises

The invitation extends to the elite member and any other adult passenger staying in the same cabin. Assuming there are two of you, that's a $100 value. Palo normally costs $50 per person.

The perk can be used at either the Palo eateries found on Disney's four older ships or the Palo Steakhouse eatery on the line's new Disney Wish .

Does my Disney Castaway Club status last forever?

In a major change that took effect in early 2024, Disney Castaway Club members will no longer get "forever status" upon reaching the various tiers of the program — a notable allure of the program since its inception.

As of this year, Castaway Club members lose their Castaway Club status — and, indeed, their entire membership in the program, even at the entry level — if they don't book or complete an eligible Disney cruise at least once every five years.

As a result, if you haven't taken a Disney Cruise Line voyage in a few years, and you have high-level status in the Castaway Club that you want to preserve for the future, it might pay to book a quickie Disney voyage this year to maintain your loyalty level. Or, maybe now is the time to switch your loyalty to another family-friendly cruise brand, such as Royal Caribbean.

Bottom line

Disney Cruise Line offers a handful of decent perks to members of its Castaway Club loyalty program, including early access to new itineraries and onboard activities.

However, the Castaway Club loyalty program is not nearly as robust as the frequent cruiser programs of many other well-known brands, such as Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line. If you're going to sail a lot with Disney, you'll want to do it because you love the brand, not because you expect a lot of onboard recognition for your loyalty.

Tips for making the most of your status.

  • Disney Cruise Line Tips and Tricks

Amy Smith/Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line has gained a huge following since the Disney Magic first set sail in 1998, and for good reason. With Broadway-quality shows, some of the best food on the open seas, and unparalleled customer service, travelers of all ages are loyal to the line. Disney Cruise Line rewards this loyalty with the Castaway Club, a program with tiered categories based on how many voyages you’ve completed. Each of the different tiers holds unique perks, from free meals at Palo, an adult-exclusive restaurant on board, to discounts on merchandise and even free gifts each time you sail.

Here’s everything you need to know about Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club, starting with the status tiers.

Steven Diaz/Disney Cruise Line

Guests are awarded Silver status after completing one voyage with Disney Cruise Line. “Silver Castaway Club Members receive their membership perks as soon as they complete their first sailing. This means that when it’s time to book your second sailing, you have early access to both reserving new itineraries and planning your cruise activities for your upcoming sailing online. To make the most of your benefits, be sure to keep up with Disney Cruise Line’s itinerary releases,” says Adrianna H., a PlanDisney Specialist . Silver status allows guests to book new itineraries at least one day before the general public can. This is a huge advantage for some of the more popular routes and even new ships, like the upcoming Disney Treasure .

Silver Castaway Club members can book onboard cruise activities like spa treatments and specialty dining as well as Port Adventures, Disney’s lingo for shore excursions, 90 days before sailing. Some of the more popular activities and restaurants fill up fast, like reservations for the private cabanas at Disney’s island, Castaway Cay , and brunch at Palo, the adults-only Italian restaurant on board, so this extra time can help ensure that you get to spend your vacation exactly as you’d like.

Silver Members can complete online check-in, select their port arrival time, and register children for youth clubs 33 days before sailing. By securing an early port arrival time, you’re able to board the ship early and start your vacation right away.

Some ports also have exclusive cruise terminal check-in for different tiered members, allowing you to access a shorter line for day-of check-in protocols. Silver members are also given an exclusive phone number to call for any questions or requests before their sailing.

All Silver members receive a “Welcome Back Aboard” gift during their sailings. Castaway Club members of every tier receive a Castaway Club lanyard for easy access to their Key to the World card, which allows you to charge purchases to your room, open your stateroom door, and enter and exit the ship while at port. “My favorite Castaway Club perk is the Welcome Back Aboard gift.  The lanyards are a great conversation starter with fellow passengers. I love to hear about everyone’s favorite ship and itinerary. It’s these connections with other guests that make cruising with Disney special,” according to Tracie M., a PlanDisney Specialist . In addition to the lanyards, Silver members currently receive a complimentary tote bag, which is great for carrying towels to the perfect beach lounger at Castaway Cay.

Guests are awarded Gold status after completing five sailings with Disney Cruise Line, and they receive all the same perks as Silver members, plus some new ones. With this status, members can book new itineraries at least two days before the general public. As some itineraries sell out quickly and prices generally only go up as the sail date gets closer, it’s a good idea to book your trip as soon as possible.

Gold Castaway Club members can add onboard activities and Port Adventures 105 days before sailing, and they can complete online check-in, select port arrival time, and register any children for youth clubs 35 days before sailing. These extra two days might not seem like much, but on crowded sailings, it can be the equivalent of additional hours on board as the early time slots fill up quickly.

Gold members are also invited to a private reception for higher-tier Castaway Club members on sailings that are eight nights and longer, featuring special entertainment, refreshments, and a chance to meet the ship’s captain and officers. And that’s not all — sometimes Gold sailors can get exclusive access to other members-only experiences on the ship. “On a transatlantic itinerary I experienced last year, we were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at one of the musicals in the Walt Disney Theatre,” says Adrianna H.

Once you reach Gold, you receive a small discount on select experiences and merchandise on board, generally about 10 percent. “To make the most of your status, I recommend visiting the Disney Cruise Line website to see your exclusive perks because sometimes they can change. My son’s favorite perk is the discount in the gift shop. He recently added the towel animal plush elephant to his collection. He even used his Platinum discount to purchase it himself,” says Tracie M. from PlanDisney. Gold members also receive a Castaway Club lanyard denoting their tiered status, the tote bag gifted to Silver members, and a wet/dry bag.

Guests are awarded Platinum status after completing 10 sailings. This tier allows you all the same benefits as the Gold tier, with some additional perks. Platinum Castaway Club members can book new itineraries at least three days earlier than the general public and add onboard activities and Port Adventures 120 days before sailing. Platinum-level members can also complete online check-in and select their port arrival time 38 days before sailing.

Platinum members receive a Castaway Club lanyard denoting their tiered status, the tote bag gifted to Silver members, the wet/dry bag gifted to Gold members, and a beach towel. “One benefit that Platinum guests sometimes forget is the Platinum Member Gift. Once on board, they can call room service and ask what the gift options are — for example, a cheese and fruit platter, a truffle chocolate box, or a bottle of Prosecco,” says Chris Konecny, owner of DCL Cruising Dad .

Finally, one of the most exciting benefits of being a loyal passenger aboard Disney Cruise Line is a complimentary dinner at Palo or Palo Steakhouse, an adults-only restaurant aboard the fleet of ships. The Northern Italian-inspired menu is a fan favorite, offering a four-course prix-fixe menu for $45 per person or the option to order à la carte. If you opt to order à la carte, you will receive a $45 credit per guest to apply to the final bill. Only guests 18 years and older can dine at Palo, and reservations are subject to availability, so be sure to book as soon as possible.

The newest Castaway Club tier, Pearl, debuted last May. To qualify for this level, guests must have completed 25 sailings, and members of this elite tier are granted all the benefits from the Platinum level, as well as some additional advantages.

Pearl Castaway Club members can book new itineraries at least four days before the public, and they can add onboard activities and Port Adventures 123 days before sailing. Pearl Members can complete online check-in and register children for youth clubs 40 days before sailing. Plus, Pearl Castaway Club members are not required to select a port arrival time when checking in for an upcoming sailing. They are automatically placed in the first boarding group for their cruise, a perk they share only with guests traveling in concierge staterooms.

Additionally, Pearl members are given a complimentary unlimited digital photo package which allows guests to download all the photos from their journey. Pearl members also receive a Castaway Club lanyard denoting their tiered status, a tote bag, a wet/dry bag, and the beach towel and room service offerings provided to lower tiers, plus a pair of insulated stemless flute tumblers.

Finally, the highest honor of all: Once you have completed 50 cruises with Disney Cruise Line, you will have the opportunity to display your family’s last name on a commemorative display at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Courtesy of Disney Cruise Line

  • Utilize your Castaway Club status to book itineraries as soon as they are released as prices will generally only go up as room availability goes down. “Use your early cruise booking window for best pricing and room availability. The prices for Disney cruises typically only go up after opening day, and room types become more limited on special sailings,” advises Brian Flock and Samantha Kanner, hosts of the DCL Duo Podcast .
  • Figure out which popular activities you want to do and prioritize these as soon as your booking window opens. This includes Palo reservations — especially brunch and seatings on Pirate Night — private cabanas on Castaway Cay, and any popular Port Adventures you may want to experience, such as the Glacier Explorer onboard Alaska itineraries.
  • Be sure to use your status to your advantage and check in for your sailing as soon as you can. Select the earliest possible port arrival time, and if you’re a fan of swimming, either wear or pack your swimsuit. One great way to spend these first few hours is to hop in the pools before everyone else does; in the past, I’ve had the whole pool deck to myself on the first day, something that rarely happens for the rest of the voyage.

Disney Cruise Line Tips and Tricks

  • Fans of DCL: Don’t wait too long to book your next trip. As of December 2023, Disney Cruise Line changed the eligibility requirements for Castaway Club membership effective immediately. In order to maintain their status, Castaway Club members must book or sail on at least one eligible cruise within five years of their last voyage.
  • If you find yourself plotting your next Disney Cruise Line vacation before you even disembark, take advantage of the placeholder deal before you leave the ship. “For a small deposit, you can make a placeholder reservation for a future Disney Cruise. It’s a great way to save some money on your next Disney vacation at sea,” says Tracie M. This placeholder includes a 10 percent discount on your next voyage, as long as it’s within 24 months after the placeholder reservation is booked.
  • If you see something you want in the gift store, don’t wait. Adrianna H. explains, “If you see something in the onboard stores that you can’t live without, it’s a good idea to purchase it sooner rather than later. Some popular items sell out and do not get restocked during your voyage.”
  • And don’t be afraid to try something new on your next trip. While the onboard restaurants are all fantastic, sometimes the best days are the most spontaneous ones, and you might as well take full advantage of Disney Cruise Line’s unique complimentary room service policy. “If you’ve never skipped your dinner seating to enjoy room service in your stateroom while watching a Disney movie, the next cruise you take is the perfect opportunity to do so. Don’t forget to order a Mickey Bar!” says Adrianna.

In addition to Disney theme parks around the world, Disney provides magical cruise vacation experiences for guests of all ages on Disney Cruise Line. Castaway Club, the cruise line’s loyalty program, rewards cruisers with status and perks after completing just 1 cruise.

Frequent cruisers can take advantage of early booking privileges and even have their family name memorialized on Disney’s private island. The program is simple, and there’s nothing you have to do to participate except take a cruise. Here’s what you need to know about Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club.

Castaway Club is Disney Cruise Line’s loyalty program . All it takes to join the program is to sail on 1 Disney cruise, though the more you cruise, the more perks you receive. Entry into the program is free and automatic after completing your first cruise with Disney Cruise Line .

There are 4 Castaway Club membership tiers: Silver Member, Gold Member, Platinum Member, and Pearl Member . Each status level is earned by sailing 1, 5, 10, and 25 sailings, respectively. Pearl Members who take 50 sailings or more get additional benefits.

After your first completed sailing, you’ll automatically receive Silver Member status, and then it’s only up from there.

The program is exclusive to Disney Cruise Line’s ocean cruises . River and expedition cruises offered by Adventures by Disney do not count toward member status.

  • Exclusive member discounts

Platinum Member: 10 Completed Sailings

  • Book new itineraries at least 3 days before the general public
  • Add cruise activities 120 days before sailing
  • Select port arrival time and complete online check-in 38 days before sailing
  • All Silver and Gold Member benefits
  • Complimentary dinner at Palo or Palo Steakhouse

Palo Steakhouse is only available on Disney Wish, while Palo is available on Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. The adults-only dining venue has a formal or semi-formal dress code and requires a reservation.

Pearl Member: 25 Completed Sailings

  • Book new itineraries at least 4 days before the general public
  • Add cruise activities 123 days before sailing
  • Select port arrival times and complete online check-in 40 days before sailing

For each member level, kids earn the same status as adults .

A Disney cruise ship is docked at a small port.

When booking a Disney cruise , you can pay the old-fashioned way with cash or book your cruise with points and miles .

Earning Points on Your Disney Cruise

If you’re looking to earn points for your Disney Cruise Line purchase, there are great ways to do that, too. When planning to make a big purchase, opening a new credit card to earn a welcome bonus offer might be a good idea .

A travel credit card that earns transferrable rewards, such as the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card , is great to have on hand for additional expenses that come with a cruise vacation. If you must fly to where your cruise departs, the card’s annual $300 Capital One Travel credit can help you get there. Earning 2x Capital One miles minimum on every purchase, your rewards will add up quickly. You can redeem your miles for a hotel before or after your cruise or use your miles to pay for travel purchases like ride-shares or tours (within 90 days of purchase).

Disney Credit Cards

The Disney ® Premier Visa ® card and Disney ® Visa ® Card offer 10% off select purchases when using your card for onboard purchases. Cardholders also receive 10% off non-discounted Disney Cruise Line digital photo packages and 20% off select onboard spa treatments. Special Disney vacation financing on cruises is also available.

There are no discounts on cruise fare or complimentary perks when sailing Disney Cruise Line when you hold a Disney credit card. However, you will earn Disney Rewards Dollars that you can redeem for Disney theme park tickets or Disney cruise packages. Unless you exclusively cruise or vacation with Disney, other cards offer more valuable perks.

Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club is a straightforward loyalty program. The more you cruise, the higher the status you earn. Unlike some cruise lines, it doesn’t matter how much you spend or what category cabin you sail in. The benefits are a little lackluster, but the value is not so much in the bells and whistles.

The information regarding the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.

Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Membership Levels

The Castaway Club is Disney Cruise Line’s loyalty rewards program for repeat cruisers. DCL grants membership the moment a guest completes their first cruise. Membership comes with perks, and the more cruises you take, the more perks you can get.

Like all loyalty programs, Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club has several levels – three to be exact: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Your status is based on the number of cruises you have completed.

disney cruise castaway login

Silver: Guests who have completed 1-5 voyages with Disney Cruise Line. On your 5th cruise, you are still considered Silver. However, the moment you step off the ship from your 5th sailing you are immediately upgraded to Gold status.

Check out some retired Castaway Club merchandise and gifts here.

Gold: Guests who have completed 6-9 voyages with Disney Cruise Line.

Platinum: Guests who have completed 10 cruises. Again, your 10th cruise will be your final Gold-level cruise, and afterward, you will be Platinum.

Castaway Club Membership Perks

Disney grants perks to guests based on their membership level. The higher the level, the more perks you will receive.

Silver:

  • Book new itineraries 1 day earlier than the general public and cruise activities 90 days prior to sailing.
  • Unique Castaway Club member communications
  • Dedicated Castaway Club phone number
  • Exclusive cruise terminal check-in (where available)
  • Welcome Back Aboard gift
  • Book new itineraries 2 days earlier than the general public and cruise activities 105 days prior to sailing.
  • All Silver member benefits
  • Special discounts (See next section)
  • Book new itineraries 3 days earlier than the general public and cruise activities 120 days prior to sailing.
  • All Gold and Silver member benefits
  • Complimentary dinner at Palo for you and guests sailing in your stateroom.

Castaway Club Membership Chart

About Those Onboard Discounts

Even if this is your first cruise, always ask the crew member about discounts when making purchases. Disney Vacation Club members, Disney Visa Cardholders, and other Disney affinity groups have access to discounts on qualifying purchases onboard Disney Cruise Line. But you have to ask!

Castaway Club Perks That Have Sailed Away

Perks come, and perks go. Some perks disappeared during the pandemic and have yet to make a reappearance.

  • Gold and Platinum Onboard Reception (for cruises 8 nights or longer) : This has been “paused” since the resumption of cruising operations, and we have not heard of its return at this time.
  • Advance check-in:  Before the pandemic, Castaway Club members had access to early cruise check-in at the same time they booked onboard activities and Port Adventure. Now all guests are eligible to check in 30 days prior to sailing. This means everyone has an equal shot at grabbing a coveted early Port Arrival Time.
  • Special Merchandise: This is an unofficial report. On my last cruise ( Disney Dream – May 2022) I did not see any merchandise for Castaway Club members in any gift shop. The selection was always small – usually a mug, cap, or maybe a t-shirt – but it seems to be missing now. If you’ve seen any merch, let us know!

Gifts change from time to time. Below is the beach bag that I received in 2016. The previous bag was from a 2010 European Sailing.

Castaway Club bag circa 2016.

Platinum (and Beyond)

Until recently, Disney Cruise Line has only recognized three main levels of membership: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. However, as DCL ages, the number of Platinum Level Castaway Club members has increased.

When booking opened up for the Disney Wish , we were all expecting tiered opening dates based on Castaway Club level, but DCL threw in a little curveball. Platinum members were divided into four groups:

  • Members with 25+ cruises
  • Members with 20+ cruises
  • Members with 15+ cruises
  • Members with 10+ cruises

Each sub-group had its own date to begin booking on the newest ship. The result: The Inaugural sailing was sold out the morning that Platinum members with 10+ cruises could book.

Castaway Club Program Benefits

What do you think about Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Club? Have you enjoyed the perks and gifts? What would you like to see DCL do differently with its loyalty program ?

Disney Cruise Line Updates Castaway Club on the Website

Disney Cruise Castaway Club

Disney Cruise Line has updated the Castaway Club area on their website. Guests will be happy to learn that their cruise history is available again. Disney did a big update on their website in early 2022. After the upgrade, Castaway Club members could no longer see the list of their previous cruises.

You can now log into your Castaway Club account and see your complete list of previous voyages, including room numbers!

Disney Cruise Castaway Club Previous Cruise List

Also new in the upgrade is that your folio from your last cruise is now available to download for 90 days after you disembark . I think that is fantastic. There is always so much happening on the last day it is easy to forget to download your folio.

Disney also updated the site so Guests can now link their Castaway Club ID to their online Disney Account after their cruise.

We continue to introduce new functionalities that improve the user experience and provide more flexibility across our destinations. We’re excited to introduce two new online functionalities that are now available for Castaway Club members: Download Folios Post-Cruise Beginning today, Castaway Club members may now download a copy of their folio following their cruise. Folios will be available approximately 24 hours after the cruise via the ‘My Cruises’ section on the Castaway Club page and can be downloaded for up to 90 days. Please note that guests may only download the folio for their own stateroom. Linking a Castaway Club ID to a Disney Account Post-Cruise Guests will also have the ability to link their Castaway Club ID to their online Disney account profile following their cruise. Simply select “Link your account” under “Unlock Exclusive Member Benefits” on the Castaway Club landing page. Guests looking to link their accounts can do so by entering either their Castaway Club ID or the reservation number for their Disney cruise. The guest details, including name and birthdate, on their Disney account profile must match the information on the their Castaway Club profile or reservation in order to successfully link their accounts.

I am happy that Disney has made these changes. Sign up for our newsletter to get the latest Disney news . Keep checking back if you want to see all the menus from the Disney Dream Transatlantic cruise.

Things on Disney Cruise Line’s private island Castaway Cay recent became a little too hot, with a fire breaking out on the island, shutting it down entirely.

Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, offers magical adventures at sea for families and Disney enthusiasts of all ages . Embark on a voyage aboard one of their five magnificent ships – the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish or the soon-to-be-launched Disney Treasure (scheduled for December 2024) – and experience unparalleled Disney storytelling woven into every aspect of your cruise.

While visiting the Disney theme parks is a popular vacation option for Disney fans, Disney Cruise Line has been a top-tier alternative for decades.

Disney Cruise Line takes pride in its exceptional dining experiences, catering to a variety of palates. Each ship boasts themed restaurants that transport you to different worlds. Enjoy classic Disney animation at Animator’s Palate, a restaurant that comes alive with projected scenes from your favorite Disney films.

Travel to the elegance of France at Remy, a sophisticated fine-dining restaurant. For a taste of Italy, explore Palo, offering authentic Italian cuisine with stunning ocean views. And those seeking casual options can delight in a variety of buffets and counter-service restaurants, ensuring there’s something delicious for everyone.

Beyond the delectable fare, Disney Cruise Line provides a dazzling array of entertainment options. Catch Broadway-caliber musicals featuring iconic Disney characters, laugh along with hilarious comedy shows, or be mesmerized by stunning stage productions such as Frozen, Aladdin, Tangled, Beauty and the Beast , and more. Children can participate in interactive activities led by beloved Disney characters at Disney’s Oceaneer Club, while adults can enjoy live music and entertainment at the bar locations.

A highlight of any Disney Cruise Line experience is a visit to Castaway Cay, Disney’s private island paradise in the Bahamas.

Disney Cruise Line’s private island paradise, Castaway Cay, offers a wealth of activities beyond basking on its pristine beaches (including a dedicated adults-only section). Guests can embark on snorkeling adventures, indulge in delectable dining options, and discover exclusive merchandise unavailable elsewhere. Excursions like fishing or parasailing provide additional opportunities for exploration, while a dedicated kids’ club ensures a magical time for the entire family.

Disembarking directly from the ship onto Castaway Cay eliminates the need for tender boats, streamlining your arrival. Complimentary towels and lounge chairs are readily available (though for prime spots, an early arrival is recommended). For guests with accessibility concerns, all-terrain wheelchairs are available for a more comfortable exploration.

Castaway Cay offers a well-rounded selection of complimentary activities, supplemented by a few optional experiences. The In Da Shade Game Pavilion, conveniently located near the family beach, provides guests with shaded areas for basketball, billiards, and ping pong, alongside classic beach sports like soccer and volleyball.

Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate the complimentary Castaway Cay 5k, a self-guided run or walk along scenic tropical paths. While not a formal race, participants receive a commemorative medal upon completion.

For an unforgettable encounter with marine life, consider Castaway Ray’s Stingray Adventure (additional fee). This hour-long program allows participants to feed, pet, and snorkel alongside 60 fascinating stingrays. A variety of exhilarating excursions, including parasailing, sailing, and fishing charters, are also available for an additional fee. For independent exploration, watercraft rentals are offered.

Disney enthusiasts will revel in Castaway Cay’s unique snorkeling lagoon, suitable for all experience levels. This 22-acre underwater wonderland features two distinct trails, one showcasing sunken Disney characters and remnants of iconic theme park rides, like a submarine from the now-defunct 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea: Submarine Voyage attraction.

Snorkeling equipment can be rented from Gil’s Fin and Boats and Flippers and Floats. For those seeking to maximize their adventure, Castaway Cay offers bundled activity packages at significant savings.

Family running on beach at Castaway Cay

Castaway Cay caters to all palates with complimentary dining options. Cookie’s BBQ and Cookie’s Too, the island’s primary dining venues, offer classic summertime fare like cheeseburgers, barbecued chicken, fresh salads, and fruit under relaxing shaded pavilions. Disney Cruise Line’s signature soft-serve ice cream is also complimentary at these locations. Serenity Bay BBQ provides similar offerings on the adults-only section of the island.

For a refreshing treat, Olaf’s Summertime Freeze offers specialty frozen beverages and must-have souvenir cups, sure to delight young guests.

Castaway Cay promises an unforgettable experience for families of all ages, offering a seamless blend of relaxation, adventure, and Disney magic.

That is why the recent fire was so devastating to guests.

Guests who were on the Disney Wish a few days ago would have had a very different Castaway Cay visit. One guest took to Reddit to share that the island had to temporarily shut down, “Just got off the Wish. When we were at Castaway Cay someone threw a lit cigar into the brush and started a fire that shut down the power on the island temporarily. Crew handled it fantastically.”

donald castaway cay

Another guest who was on the ship replied, “Just got off as well. We were all loaded on the tram to head back to the ship and got stuck sitting there for about a half hour. No one told us what happened but we saw some crew in fire gear once everything was resolved. Fortunately it seems like they were able to contain it.”

A lot of the conversation revolved around Disney fans wanting the ships to ban smoking all together: “It’s become time for DCL to ban smoking on the island and to work on phasing it out on the ships.”

“Tired of walking through clouds of smoke to get to the beach, to get to food, to just walk around. Hopefully we see more islands going to way of Mexico and banning it outright also making it easier for DCL to implement.”

It appears that the fire began right by the dock of the island, which stopped guests from coming both on and off the ship until the fire was contained and extinguished.

This is not the only issue that DCL has hit as of late. The Disney Dream took a pit stop in the middle of the Atlantic recently as the ship attempted to assist in what appeared to be an urgent emergency.

disney cruise line castaway cay

Earlier this year, we reported that Disney conducted a successful rescue mission on New Year’s Eve , once again stopping their boat to provide aid.

These hiccups also occur on other cruise lines, such as Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Princess Cruise Line, and others.

Moving forward, Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is thrilled to announce the upcoming opening of Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, Bahamas, on June 10, 2024. This new private island destination signifies a remarkable collaboration between Disney and Bahamian artisans, historians, and cultural experts.

Disney Lookout Cay promises an immersive experience steeped in the rich cultural tapestry of the Bahamas. Artistic flourishes, architectural details, and captivating performances by local talent will transport guests to the heart of Bahamian life. Visitors can embark on a cultural odyssey through interactive experiences and presentations that celebrate the island’s unique heritage.

Beyond the cultural immersion, Disney Lookout Cay boasts breathtaking natural beauty. Pristine beaches beckon relaxation, while nature trails offer a chance to commune with the island’s flora and fauna. The turquoise waters surrounding the island are perfect for exploration and discovery.

Already, the first of those ships, the 2,508-passenger Disney Wish , has arrived, boosting the size of the Disney fleet from four ships to five and allowing for more departures to the Caribbean, Mexico and Europe.

Two more sister vessels to Disney Wish are due to begin sailing in 2024 and 2025, respectively, allowing for further expansion in Disney cruise itineraries. In addition, the line has yet another new vessel coming in 2025 that isn't related to the other three. Called Disney Adventure, it's a one-off vessel originally designed for an Asian line , and it'll sail in Asia (perhaps catering mostly to Asian travelers; Disney has been mum so far on the target audience for it).

All these new ships arriving in quick succession will likely mean not just more departures to destinations where Disney Cruise Line is established but also sailings in new regions. For example, Disney has never before offered Asia sailings.

Here are our picks for the five best Disney cruise destinations you can visit with your family.

Caribbean and Bahamas

Disney Cruise Line's top destination has always been the Caribbean and the Bahamas. Since its founding more than two decades ago, the brand has based the bulk of its fleet in Florida to offer sailings to the islands. Port Canaveral, which is just an hour away from Disney's Orlando-area theme parks, has always been its biggest hub.

The line is particularly known for three- and four-night cruises out of Port Canaveral to Castaway Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas. These short getaways let families get a taste of Disney cruising that some Disney fans pair with a stay at Disney World.

The cruise line also regularly offers seven-night sailings out of Port Canaveral that visit Caribbean islands like St. Thomas and Tortola.

In recent years, Disney has also built up its Caribbean and Bahamas cruise offerings from other ports in Florida — initially Miami and, more recently, Fort Lauderdale. The ships the line has based in these ports typically offer four- and five-night sailings to Castaway Cay and one other port, such as Cozumel or Grand Cayman.

In addition, Disney is offering a growing number of Caribbean sailings out of Galveston, Texas, and New Orleans.

For 2024, the line will have four of its five ships — Disney Wish, Disney Dream, Disney Magic and Disney Fantasy — sailing to the Bahamas and Caribbean out of one of the above ports, with their home bases often shifting between them.

Disney Wish, which is Disney's newest ship, will be based in Port Canaveral year-round to operate the line's classic three- and four-night sailings to the Bahamas. These voyages are designed to be paired with a visit to nearby Disney World for a longer Disney vacation.

Disney Fantasy will also sail out of Port Canaveral to the Bahamas and Caribbean year-round, offering longer voyages.

Disney Dream will spend the start and the end of the year sailing short trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale, with a stint in the middle of the year (from May to October) sailing in Europe.

Disney Magic will take Disney Dream's place sailing short trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean out of Fort Lauderdale from May to October. During the early and late months of the year, it'll sail out of Galveston.

Come 2025, Disney will have four ships — Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Dream and Disney Magic — sailing three- to five-night getaways from Florida to the line's Bahamian destinations, including its new private beach destination Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and its long-open private island Disney Castaway Cay. Disney Fantasy and Disney Wish will operate the trips from Port Canaveral, while Disney Dream and Disney Magic will sail from Fort Lauderdale.

Before taking up residence in Florida in April 2025, Disney Magic will also offer three months' worth of sailings out of Galveston, Texas, to Progreso and Cozumel in Mexico and Grand Cayman.

All of the 2025 sailings are already open for bookings.

Disney has cut back on voyages out of San Diego for 2024, after increasing its San Diego departures sharply in 2023. But it still offers several trips to Mexico out of the city on Disney Wonder.

For 2024, the 1,754-passenger vessel will offer a mix of three- to seven-night sailings to Mexico during March and April. Shorter three- and four-night sailings typically feature calls at Ensenada, Mexico, and California's Catalina Island. Seven-night sailings include calls at Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta in Mexico.

The big factor driving Disney's cutbacks on sailings out of San Diego in 2024 is its new focus on voyages out of Australian ports. Disney Wonder will spend much of January and February sailing out of Australian ports and then return to the region in October for another season of Australia trips.

Disney offers a wide variety of itineraries in Europe every summer, from Mediterranean voyages out of Barcelona and Civitavecchia, Italy (the port for Rome), to Northern Europe sailings out of Southampton, England.

Ranging from seven to 11 nights, Disney's Europe voyages each year typically take place on a single ship that sails from multiple home ports throughout the season. For 2024, that ship will be the 2,500-passenger Disney Dream. The line has yet to announce which of its ships will go to Europe in 2025.

Typical for the shorter itineraries the line offers in Europe are seven-night sailings out of Civitavecchia to the Greek Islands. These sailings stop in Mykonos, Santorini and Crete in Greece, as well as Naples, Italy.

Related: 17 tips for sailing on Disney Cruise Line

A longer, 11-night itinerary starting in Civitavecchia and ending in Barcelona includes calls at Piraeus (the port for Athens), Santorini and Mykonos in Greece; Messina (on the island of Sicily), Naples and Livorno in Italy; and Toulon, France.

Among Northern Europe itineraries, Disney offers focused, weeklong sailings to Norway with calls at the Norwegian ports of Alesund, Nordfjordeid, Eidfjord and Stavanger.

Disney does not have a large presence in Alaska. The line sends just one ship to Alaska each year. Family-friendly cruise rivals Royal Caribbean and Carnival Cruise Line, by contrast, each send three ships to Alaska each year, and Norwegian Cruise Line sends five vessels to the destination.

Still, Disney fans won't feel like they're missing out. The one vessel Disney sends to Alaska each year, the 1,754-passenger Disney Wonder, stays for nearly the entire summer season, from late June to mid-September and offers a distinctly Disney take on The Last Frontier.

Always beginning and ending in Vancouver, British Columbia, and lasting seven nights, Disney's Alaska sailings typically include stops at three of these four Alaska ports: Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Icy Strait Point (which three vary by departure date). Itineraries also include a visit to Stikine Icecap, which is south of Juneau.

These are fairly typical ports for an Alaska cruise. But the (extra-charge) activities that Disney has organized for the ports aren't always the same as what other lines offer.

As one might expect for Disney, the line has crafted some of its shore excursions in Alaska ports with special Disney touches, such as Disney character appearances at the Liarsville Gold Rush Trail Camp & Salmon Bake tour in Ketchikan. (Having done this one myself, I will say, for the record, that it's a little hokey; but it does get you a Disney character fix if that's your aim.)

Another shore excursion with a Disney touch is the outdoor Family Scavenger Hunt at Icy Strait Point, where participants join a local guide on a hunt for items such as clam shells and native plants, as well as a "special surprise" with a Disney theme.

Unlike many lines, Disney does not offer one-way sailings to Alaska from Vancouver or Seattle that can be paired with add-on land tours to create an extended sea-and-land Alaska vacation — something known as a "cruisetour." If that's what you're looking for, and you want to stick with a family-friendly line, you might want to consider the one-way cruisetour offerings from Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line.

Disney typically offers at least one and sometimes several cruises to Bermuda each fall, ranging from quick, five-night trips to longer, eight-night sailings.

For the year just ending (2023), the line offered four such sailings, and it's offered even more than that in certain years. Alas, for the coming year (2024), Disney currently does not have a single Bermuda sailing scheduled — a bit of an anomaly.

That said, we would expect Disney to bring back its Bermuda sailings for 2025 or 2026. It's been such a mainstay of the brand.

So ... stay tuned.

Bottom line

Family-friend Disney Cruise Line is a relatively small cruise brand, with just five ships (one of its biggest rivals in the family cruise market, Royal Caribbean, has 26 vessels). But that doesn't mean its itinerary choices are limited. The line offers regular sailings to the Caribbean and Bahamas, Mexican Riviera, Alaska, Bermuda and Europe.

MyDisney Seamless Login: What You Need to Know

Switching between your Disney+ account, checking your Disney Store orders, and planning your next trip to Walt Disney World can sure seem like a lot of logging in and logging out.

But now thanks to MyDisney — a new unified login experience for all your Disney needs — enjoying everything that The Walt Disney Company has to offer is about to get a whole lot easier.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What exactly is MyDisney?

MyDisney is the name of a new capability Disney is introducing on Tuesday that gives our guests a seamless login experience by using just a single email and password across services and experiences from The Walt Disney Company.

When you login using your personal account information, you will now see the same MyDisney login prompt everywhere you go asking for the same email and password, creating a more seamless login experience.

“MyDisney is our latest innovation designed to make life easier for our consumers, allowing them to manage all their Disney-related services with one unified account,” Ajay Arora, SVP, Commerce, Growth & Identity for Disney Entertainment & ESPN, said.

How is MyDisney going to make my life easier as a Disney consumer?

If you’re someone that manages different passwords across various accounts with a single email address, this is great news for you, because now you can now use a single email and password as your MyDisney login.

“This move not only reflects our commitment to technological innovation but also our dedication to creating hassle-free, memorable experiences for our consumers,” Arora added.

Do I need to take action with my existing accounts to make them MyDisney compatible?

Disney is making it as simple as possible for you.

At your next login attempt on any MyDisney compatible service, when you enter into a password-restricted feature, Disney will ask you to update your password. From then on, that password is the only one you’ll need to remember.

That means that going forward, any other MyDisney compatible service will ask you to use only that same email and password via the same prompt.

What services and experiences can I streamline through MyDisney?

Most of Disney’s most popular sites and apps can now be accessed through MyDisney.

This includes streaming services like Disney+ and Hulu , news and entertainment apps like ABC and ESPN , and merchandise and experiences like the Disney Store , Disney Cruise Line , Disneyland , and Walt Disney World . For a full list, visit my.disney.com .

What does MyDisney look like?

disney cruise castaway login

Disney is using a simple logo to signify the MyDisney login experience for a consistent and connected look and feel. So, when you reach the login screen and see the MyDisney logo, you’ll know to use the same single email and password.

You’ll also see a reference to MyDisney any time you visit the Help Center or contact customer service representatives.

If I use more than one email address for my Disney services, will I be able to combine them all across MyDisney?

Yes, Disney will just ask that you take a few extra steps.

First, make sure you cancel any subscriptions associated with an email address that you don’t want to use.

After that, sign up for those same subscriptions with the email you want to keep across all your Disney services and Disney will recognize that email and ask you to log in with your MyDisney password.

Are there any other benefits aside from the ease of all my Disney accounts being streamlined into one login?

Through the my.disney.com site, you’ll be able to manage certain account preferences and settings across The Walt Disney Company easily in one place.

This includes functions like changing your password, logging out of all devices, and subscribing or unsubscribing from marketing emails you receive from us.

“The launch of MyDisney is more than just a new feature — it’s a new era for The Walt Disney Company where convenience meets magic,” Arora said. “By allowing our guests to use one login for everything from Disney+ to Disneyland, we’re not just simplifying the technical side of things; we’re enriching the Disney magic that families know and love.”

Over time, Disney hopes to grow that magic by creating more centralized tools that will help you and other guests manage their accounts and preferences even more seamlessly and conveniently.

PSA: Verify Your Disney Cruise Line Castaway Club Status Before Opening Day

Do you enjoy waiting on hold, or spending 30+ minutes on the phone dealing with account issues? No, I didn’t think you did. So, if you are planning to book one fo the recently announced Disney Cruise sailings for early 2022 online, I highly recommend taking a few minutes out of your day to log into your Disney Cruise Line account to verify your account is linked correctly to your Castaway Club account to double your proper Castaway Club status before the cruises go on sail beginning Monday. It will be much easier to take care of this today or over the weekend while the call volume is lower versus waiting until next week when guests are calling to book new cruises.

Included in yesterday’s itinerary announcement , Disney made it a point via a bullet point to recommend guests to log in and verify your account.

Where to find your Castaway Club Number

For those who do not know their Castaway Club number and have a Key to the World (KTTW) card from a previous Disney Cruise, you are in luck. The Disney Cruise KTTW card has your Castaway Club ID printed on the card. In the example below, my 8-digit Castaway Club ID number is printed in the spot blocked out in the image below.

DCL CC Status Check KTTW Card Castaway Club Number

There are some cards where the number is truncated and will not display all digits of the ID. Another place to look for your Castaway Club ID is in Reservation Confirmation email from Disney Cruise Line in the Guest Information section.

Yep, this is important. DCL didn’t have one of my wife’s cruises on her account. A simple 2 minute fix and she got it fixed.

' src=

I have “completed” three cruises so I am silver BUT I have 4 has cruises booked and paid in full cancelled that would have pushed me to Gold status and DCL is saying that does not cout. But I purposefully booked those so I would achieve Gold for 2022 booking and a summer 2021 Alaska cruise I have upcoming for excursion booking. I am very upset DCL has not altered this to include booked and paid for in full during covid to count towards status.

' src=

Club Status is based on the number of -completed cruises-. It has nothing to do with how many reservations you’ve made, whether they’re paid in full or not, nor how much they cost. When you BOARD your fifth cruise, your Key to the World card will show Gold but your Gold Benefits do not begin until you return to port and debark the ship.

' src=

Jill you are only credited after you complete your cruise. It has been like that for a long time, which make sense. Sorry?

' src=

When does online booking start, is it 8AM or midnight for the respective Castaway Club tier? I can’t seem to recall when the online booking starts for new sailings.

' src=

Yep. I logged in and it wasn’t linked at all. Because I am the one who does all the check in stuff, but my husband was the one who booked via travel agent for our only cruise. I had changed my account to his name, but not his birthday. The CM says they check to make sure it all matches. He fixed it and we are set for next week. We are using placeholder, so still have to call next week.

Sorprende por sus detalles, apego a la cultura y tradiciones, y por el sentido de pertenencia al sitio

8 de junio de 2024 - 2:38 PM

disney cruise castaway login
