An outstanding historic legacy

Overflowing with local heritage, Boston is home to a selection of stunning historic buildings. The Iconic St. Botolph’s Church (known locally as the ‘Boston Stump’) towers the skyline as a commanding structure of impressive heritage, second only to Lincoln Cathedral as Lincolnshire’s outstanding historic landmarks. Explore the impressive architecture of Fydell House , a quaint Queen Anne-era manor house with preserved gardens and local stories to uncover within its walls. On a visit to the town, you can take a voyage of discovery and learn about the Pilgrim Fathers in the Boston Guildhall or uncover the town’s important legacy and cultural ties to Boston Massachusetts.

During the 12th century, Boston was home to one of the most important ports in England, contributing massively to the country’s international trade during medieval times. The town’s ideal location along Lincolnshire’s coastline and its vast array of succeeding inland waterways prospered trade through the North Sea from mainland Europe. This important history gives Boston its unique modern-day intrigue, difficult to find anywhere else.

Boston’s Great Outdoors

Boston is well known for its abundance of parks, green spaces, and nature reserves . With 9 country parks all within 5 miles of the town and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy along Lincolnshire’s award-winning coastline, visitors are spoilt for choice when it comes to spots to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy a break into nature. Experience the elegant Fydell House Gardens and enjoy the tranquil space surrounding the unique timeless manor house.

The jewel in Boston’s wildlife crown is RSPB Frampton Marsh . A vibrant estuary of birdlife and wilderness, a site which has seen huge demand from bird watchers and wildlife enthusiasts and is now enjoyed by everyone, at the top of the Boston bucket list. Also located a short distance from Boston is Freiston Shore , the peaceful sister site to Frampton Marsh. Wherever you choose to explore in Boston, there are a variety of accessible walking routes to choose from to help you get the most of your peaceful retreat.

The Great Outdoors

Locally produced food & drink

Sitting proudly in Lincolnshire’s rural fenlands, the town is surrounded by lush farmland contributing hugely to feeding the nation. It’s no surprise that local produce is at the forefront of the foodie culture in the town, and with everything from fine dining to farm shops showing off Lincolnshire’s local produce, there’s something with the flavour of Boston for everyone.

A visit to the town wouldn’t be complete without sampling an iconic Lincolnshire or Boston sausage . For beer lovers, Batemans Brewery sits right on the town’s doorstep, providing a fantastic selection of high-quality cosy pubs to enjoy, proudly brewing local beers for over 150 years.
