Important update.

A new regulation has been issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health, dealing with the health measures to be implemented and concerning the travellers arriving in Spain. In this regard, it is mandatory for prospective travellers to know about the following:

• All passengers arriving in Spain, may it by air or sea, will undergo a health check carried out by Spanish authorities before entering the country. These controls may include a temperature check as well as a documentary and a visual assessment of passengers’ condition.
• Before initiating the travel to Spain all passengers originating from any airport or port must complete a public health form. It can be done online at www.spth.gob.es or through the free application: SPAIN TRAVEL HEALTH-sp TH. Once the form is filled-in, the person concerned will receive a QR code, which you will have to show upon arrival in Spain.
• A transitional period is established, until July 31 , 2020, in which international passengers who have not been able to complete the public health form electronically may fill it and present it upon arrival in Spain in paper format.

We would like to inform you that effective from April 17th 2024, Spain Visa Application Centers under Beijing Jurisdiction (Beijing, Shenyang, Xi'an, Wuhan, Chongqing, Jinan and Chengdu) start to accept TEL (RESIDENCE VISA FOR TELEWORKING ABROAD) visa application.

We would like to inform you of a new requirement for those applying for RIC, RIV, RPE, REM, TAC, RIN, TTI, and RFI visas under the Beijing jurisdiction (Beijing, Jinan, Xian, Wuhan, Shenyang, Chongqing, and Chengdu).

Effective from tomorrow onwards( March 26th 2024) , applicants are requested to submit a criminal record certificate issued by their country or countries of residence for the past 2 years. Additionally, a personal responsible declaration will be attached, affirming the absence of criminal records in the past 5 years.

Foreign documents must be legalized or apostilled, and if applicable, must be submitted with an official translation into Spanish.

We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these new requirements.

With the application volume increasing, we would like to inform you that applicants in the Beijing Jurisdiction (Beijing, Jinan, Chengdu, Shenyang, Xi'an, Wuhan and Chongqing) are requested to book the appointment prior to submitting the application documents starting from Feb. 26th.

As per the requirement of Spain Consulate in Shanghai, RES visa （Non-Lucrative Residence）applicants are required to submit the supporting documents of demonstrating financial ability(bank statement, fixed deposit, real estate ownership certificate, etc.), which must be translated in Spanish and notarized by Apostille.

We would like to formally inform you that, effective from 25th January onwards, applicants can now apply as walk-ins under the Beijing jurisdiction for Spain visa without the need for prior appointments. This arrangement is applicable for the following locations: Beijing, Jinan, Wuhan, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shenyang.

Please take note of the following details:

• Commencement Date:This update is effective from 25th January.
• Eligible Locations: Walk-in applications are accepted in Beijing, Jinan, Wuhan, Xi'an, Chengdu, Chongqing, and Shenyang.

Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia and Sri Lanka.

In addition, nationals of the following countries require a visa to transit through the international area of any airport located in Spain in order to take a connecting flight to a country outside the Schengen area:

Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, Djibuti, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, India, Liberia, Mali, Republic of the Congo, Sierra Leone, Syria, Tayikistán, Togo, Turkey, Uzbekistan y Yemen. Holders of passports issued by the Palestinian Authority also require a visa.

Nationals of the States included on the foregoing lists do not require an airport transit visa if they have a Schengen visa, or another type of visa, or a residence card permitting their return, issued by a Member State of the European Union or of the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland, or by Andorra, Canada, the United States of America, Japan, or San Marino, or by any of the overseas countries and territories of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, or if they are a diplomatic passport holder, or a family member of a citizen of the EU or of the EEA, or a flight crew member of a State that is party to the International Civil Aviation Organization.

Starting from now on, there is no need to make an appointment in advance when applying for a national visa in the Shanghai Jurisdiction. You can go to the nearest center (Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou) in the Shanghai Jurisdiction based on your household registration and city of residence to submit your application. Dear applicants,

Here is to inform you that the students who apply for long-term study visa under Beijing Jurisdiction are requested to collect the passports by visiting Spain Visa Application Center in person. The courier service, photo service, printing service and photocopy service for long-term study visa applicants are not provided. In addition, the applicants who apply for D-visa (long-term visa) are requested to take their passports at 9:00-10:00 am on the working days in the Spain Visa Application Center in Beijing. All applicants under Beijing Jurisdiction (Beijing, Jinan, Xian, Wuhan, Shenyang, Chongqing and Chengdu) who gave biometrics in 2019 or before are requested to come to Spain Visa Application Centers to re-do biometrics (fingerprints and live photo) in person. We would like to also inform you that service fee doesn’t include photograph service (35 Yuan), photo copy (1 Yuan/page), printing service (5 Yuan/ page) and courier fee (60 Yuan).

For applicants under Guangzhou jurisdiction (namely, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Changsha, Fuzhou and Kunming), we are going to release appointments randomly. You all are kindly requested to check the appointments page for the appointments.

Kindly note that from July 31st, applicants under Beijing jurisdiction who are going to apply for study visa (more than 90 days) can submit documents in Spain Visa Application Center, Beijing. Kindly note that, following the Schengen visa code article 9, the starting date of the trip must be at least 15 days after the day visa application is submitted. Applicants who are intending to depart within 15 days or if the departure date is more than six months will also not be accepted.

Please update the correct personal information including your name and passport number while making an appointment. If the personal information is not same as per passport details, you may be requested to book new appointment. Important Update: Passengers arriving in Spain by air or sea, including those arriving in transit to other countries, must complete a Health Control Form before departure and obtain their QR to present at boarding and health controls on arrival in Spain. In addition to the Health Control Form, passengers must present a certificate or document proving vaccination against COVID-19 or a negative certificate of a Diagnostic Test of Active Infection or a certificate of Recovery after having passed this disease. These certificates will be different if they have been issued in a European Union country (EU Digital COVID Certificate) or in a third country. Children under 12 years of age are exempt from presenting these certificates.

As per The Lebanese General Security and according to the procedure of Lebanese border crossings established by the Lebanese authorities:

Syrian applicants willing to apply for a Spanish visa, who intent to cross the Lebanese border, are recommended to book an appointment at BLS at least 48 hours in advance and before Thursday noon for appointment on Monday, in order to communicate their data to the Lebanese General Security.

Personal information on passport of Syrian applicants will be shared with the Lebanese General Security according to the procedure of land border crossings established by the Lebanese authorities, unless the applicant express his/her refusal to BLS by sending an email to [email protected]

Schengen visa applications for travelling to Portugal of Lebanese citizens and foreign citizens legally living in Lebanon are accepted as well, according to the representation agreement between Portugal and Spain.

New Travel Guideline Valid features of the Vaccine certificate:

• Valid vaccines: those recognize by MEA (European Union) and WHO (World Health Organization). That means: Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Moderna, Jansen, Sinopharm y Sinovac.
• The certificate must be written in: Spanish, English, French or German.
• Vaccinated people will be allowed in Spain after a period of two weeks since the last shot
• Date of the administration of the doses, stating the date of the last dose

A new regulation has been issued by the Spanish Ministry of Health, dealing with the health measures to be implemented and concerning the travellers arriving in Spain. In this regard, it is mandatory for prospective travellers to know about the following:

• All passengers arriving in Spain, may it by air or sea, will undergo a health check carried out by Spanish authorities before entering the country. These controls may include a temperature check as well as a documentary and a visual assessment of passengers’ condition.
• Before initiating the travel to Spain all passengers originating from any airport or port must complete a public health form. It can be done online at www.spth.gob.es or through the free application: SPAIN TRAVEL HEALTH-sp TH. Once the form is filled-in, the person concerned will receive a QR code, which you will have to show upon arrival in Spain.
• A transitional period is established, until July 31 , 2020, in which international passengers who have not been able to complete the public health form electronically may fill it and present it upon arrival in Spain in paper format.

Nationals of the countries listed in Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2018/1806 (and you introduce the direct link) need a Schengen visa to travel to any country of the Schengen area.

The Schengen area encompasses 26 European countries without border controls between them: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Immigration checkpoints are in place only at the external borders of the Schengen Area.

Ireland is one of the few EU countries that it is not part of the Schengen Area. As a result, anyone travelling from Ireland to Spain will pass through an immigration checkpoint.

A Schengen visa does not automatically entitle its holder to enter the Schengen area. The border authorities can refuse entry to the visa holder if they are unable to provide evidence of the purpose and specifics of their trip.

This visa allows its holder to stay in the Schengen area for up to 90 days (in any 180-day period). It also allows transit through the territory and airports of the Schengen area.

A Schengen visa may be issued for one, two or multiple entries with a maximum validity of 5 years.

Only visa applications from legal residents in Ireland are accepted. Applications must be submitted in person.

You should apply for a Spanish Schengen visa if Spain is the sole or the main destination of your planned trip. If your main destination cannot be determined, you should submit your visa application at the consular office of the country of entry into the EU.

The Government of Ireland banned Irish residents from travelling abroad except in cases where they have a justified reason to do so (work, education, medical treatment, unavoidable family needs and care for vulnerable persons). If you intend to travel to Spain because you consider that your trip falls within one of the aforementioned reasons, you are advised to carry with you documentary evidence of the reason for your trip.

Please note all of the required documentation listed in the checklist is mandatory for all applicants , including such cases where flights, accommodation, insurance and other items may be arranged by applicant’s employer, travel companies or any other companies or individuals.

If applying as a family, all family members must provide their own individual documents. Every applicant who is submitting documents in this Spain Visa Application Centre should attend an appointment in person (including children under the age of 12).

Please provide photocopy of all original documents (including passport (bio page), UK visa/BRP card/UK stamp, previous Schengen visas, etc.)

The Spanish Consulate can request additional documents if need be.

• Please do not staple any documents.
• All documents must be in English or Spanish and translated only into Spanish when stated or requested . If so, documents must be officially translated by a certified, professional translator.
• Please check the “Processing Time” section above for more information.
• An appointment or the acceptance of a visa application and documents by BLS does not guarantee the issuance of a visa. Once an application is forwarded to the Consulate, they may request more documentation or make further requests from you in order to process the application.
• During the processing time the passport is secured in the Consulate. Passports can only be withdrawn during this period through BLS, submitting a written request signed by the applicant that will be forwarded to the Consulate. The passport will be returned via BLS only the following day. No passports can be withdrawn directly from Consulate .
• All decisions regarding the issuance of, duration and number of entries for a visa are at the sole discretion of the Spanish Consulate General in London.
• Applicants are not allowed to apply by post.

Please note that only complete applications are accepted and all of the required documents listed below are mandatory for all applicants, including such cases where flights, accommodation, insurance and other items may be arranged by applicant’s employer, travel companies or any other companies or individuals. If applying as a family, all family members must provide their own individual documents.

All the applicants are required to attend their appointment in person. This includes children at age 0 -12 years.

The Spanish Consulate can request the additional documents if needed.

• Visa Application Form. Please ensure is duly completed in all sections, dated and originally signed. This form can be downloaded and printed either from BLS website, the Spanish ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union or Cooperation websites. Application form submitted from any other source will not be accepted.
• Passport/travel document . Please provide an original passport and a copy of the page with your personal data. Passport must show at least 2 blank pages for visa purposes, it needs to be valid for at least 180 days beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area and issued within the last 10 years .
• Old passport . Please provide your old/expired passport.
• UK residence permit . You must be UK resident to be eligible to apply for a Schengen visa. Your residence permit must be valid for at least 90 days beyond your return date from Schengen area. Please provide original and a copy(copy of both sites if BRP card)
• Employment/Student/School or Pension letter . Must be an original letter (i.e. not a photocopy, email, fax etc) , stating qualifications, salary, and start date. Employment letter hast to be originally signed and dated. (must be hand-signed, not digital or scanned signature), and it can not be older than 30 days from the date of appointment. Offer letter and contract is not acceptable.
• Self Employed . Copy of trade license, last year proof of paid taxes, originally signed accountant letter– signed within than 30 days.

IF BEING SPONSORED – notarised sponsorship letter duly dated and signed, officially translated into Spanish , supported by the following sponsors documents: copy of sponsor’s passport, and valid Schengen visas (if applicable), proof of relationship with sponsor; original and copy of birth/marriage certificate, sponsor’s employment letter and bank statements showing sufficient funds and last 6 month’s original bank statement.

Please note – the specific requirements mentioned on this page still apply to the documents supplied by the sponsor.

• Payslip . Please provide last 3 months (original and photocopy).
• Proof of sufficient financial guarantees . original bank statement up to date ( balance within one week)for at least 6 months which clearly states periodic income (salary transfer, yield, etc.), applicants name and address Statements obtained from internet or any other source must be stamped by your bank. Please provide both original and copies of your statements.

1. Please ensure that when submitting your current account statements on the day of your appointment, the date of your closing balance in your current account must not be more than 1 week old.

2. Proof of sufficient financial availability for the period of stay requested: 75 euro per day of stay and person.

3. Important – we do not accept – traveller’s cheques, credit card statements or bank statements that are currently overdrawn.

4. In case of sponsored trip : notarised sponsorship letter duly dated and signed, officially translated into Spanish, supported by the following sponsor documents: passport (original and copy), employment letter originally signed and dated within a month, last 6 months bank statement.

• Round – trip ticket booking (airfare, bus or cruise) stating the name of the applicant and travel dates,

1. If travelling by car: driving license, ownership documents for the vehicle, car insurance and ferry or Eurotunnel tickets.

2. Travel plan - document showing details of your full travel itinerary and bring this document with you when attending for your appointment.

Proof of accommodation for the time of stay – hotel booking or property lease, stating the name of the applicant, accommodation address and duration of stay

1. In case where hotel reservation does not show applicants name, the following document are required: - Joint travel confirmation (letter signed by the person who has booked the accommodation). - Copy of ID/passport.

2. If travel is by private invitation - official invitation letter (original and copy) Please check following link for more information of this procedure: https://www.policia.es/documentacion/no_comunitarios/car_requisitos.html This official form should be completed by the host at the police station of their place of residence in Spain and send by post to the applicant. The letter written by the host will not be accepted.

• Overseas insurance policy . Insurance must be issued by the UK company only, and you will be required to provide original and copy of the following documents:
• 1. In case were the travel insurance is covered by the bank , the following documents need to be submitted :
• Photo . You must provide a photo that complies with all requirements listed in the above tab ‘Photo Specifications’ and must not be older than 1 month. Please ensure your photo is clean and not damaged in any way and please do not paste glue, tape, staple or attach it any other way to the application form. It is important to have photo that complies with requirements with you when attending.

1. Please do not staple any documents.

2. All documents must be in English or Spanish or duly translated in these languages. Translation must be officially translated by a certified, professional translator.

3. An appointment does not guarantee the issuance of a visa.

4. Processing time is minimum amount as stated on the Processing Time section above; please be aware that it may take longer in some cases.

5. The acceptance of a visa application and documents by BLS does not guarantee the issuance of a visa. Once an application is forwarded to the Consulate, they may request more documentation or make further requests from you in order to process the application.

Children under 18 years old  - must have their form signed by both parents or legal guardians. Original birth certificate or adoption certificate, passports of both parents (original and copy) and Schengen visas, if applicable, must be attached.

In case of minors travelling without their parents or legal guardians, or travelling with one single parent, in addition to the documents mentioned above, applicant must submit: - Notarised authorisation of the parents or of the parent who does not travel with the minor. - In case of sole custody, official document providing such

Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same.

Please note that the minimum processing time of a visa application is 15 Working Days (but may take up to 60 days). Consequently, the applicants are requested to apply well in advance to the intended date of journey.

This category of visa caters for people wishing to stay in Spain for a period maximum 3 months and may be applied if the person does not have a guarantor in Spain and buys a tour in a travel agency, or make a booking of tickets and hotel.

BLS International Service charge

Applicants applying at the Spanish visa application Centre shall be levied a service charge of ILS 69 . Children under 6 are exempted from service charge.

Please note: with effect from 04 August 2016 as per instruction received from The Consulate General of Spain, " Checklist " needs to be duly filled in by the Applicant/Travel Agent/Authorized representative and needs to submit along with the Visa Application. Please note it's mandatory to provide the same and is applicable for all Jerusalem.

Please follow the below mentioned points:

• The checklist must be submitted on back to back format only (without back to back copies being stapled to each other).
• Application form must be filled by a Blue Ink or online filled printed form is applicable only.

Application Form: Application for Schengen Visa.

Original Application form for Schengen Visa duly filled in and signed by the applicant in blue ball point ink. 1 recent photograph (35-45 mm) of the applicant with white background must be attached in the application form. The application form must be correctly filled, facilitating all the possible information requested in the form including postal address, email address and telephone number.

The application can be submitted personally or by an authorized person at the BLS International Services centre; or at the Consulate General of Spain (subject to prior appointment)

If the application is being submitted directly at The Consulate General of Spain in Jerusalem, then the visa must be paid in cash on the day of application.

Passport of the applicant with at least two blank pages, which should be valid for at least three months after the duration of intended stay. This document should have been issued in the last ten (10) years. Photocopy of all the pages of the present passport must be submitted. For Consulate General of Spain Jerusalem , photocopy of all the pages (including blank pages) of the current passport and of the first previous/expired passport as well is required

Submission of all old passports is mandatory. In case if applicant has lost old passport then he/she can submit copy of complaint lodged with Police or for any other reason of not submitting it he/she can provide a covering letter mentioning the reason for the same

In case of minors (below 18 years), the application form must be signed by both the parents. Photocopies of passports of both the parents, attested by notary public, must be attached. In case parents does not have passports then they need to provide a government ID proof having signatures.

In case the minor (below 18 years), is accompanied by either of the parents, a no objection affidavit must be submitted

One Photograph (35-45 mm) of the applicant with white background and two photocopies for the application form of the applicant with white background.

Covering letter from the applicant, explaining in detail the purpose of the visit. All cover letters must include details of any other accompanying persons as well. This includes family members, friends or business associates travelling for the same purpose.

For visiting family or friends:

• Invitation letter issued by “Policia Nacional de España”. (submit in original along with a photocopy )
• Attested copy of the passport and the DNI or residence card of the person living in Spain.

For tourism purpose:

• Hotel bookings for the entire duration of stay.
• Travel itinerary for the entire duration of stay. .

Photocopy of the applicant’s PAN card.

Original Personal bank statements of the applicant for last 3 months for The Consulate General of Spain in Jerusalem with the original stamp and signature of authorized signatory of the bank (Online Bank statements are not acceptable) .This is a mandatory statement

Please Note for Consulate General of Spain, Jerusalem: The minimum closing Balance in the Personal Account Bank Statements should be equivalent or above Euros €589.68 per person for a minimum period of stay. For longer stays applicants need to show an additional of approximately Euros €65.52 per day per applicant.

Personal Income tax returns for the last three years. In case, the returns have not been filed, submit a letter of explanation.

Salary slips for last six months.

Proof of travel insurance with a minimum coverage of 30,000 Euros to cover any expense which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgent medical attention and /or emergency hospital treatment. The insurance must be valid throughout the territory of the Member States. The duration of the insurance cover must include the entire period of stay and additionally fifteen days more after the proposed date of departure out of the Schengen territory. Applicants are informed that travel medical insurance issued by only some Jerusalem insurance companies are will be accepted for visa procedures. However, visa applicants may seek to obtain insurance in any other country where claims against the insurance company would be recoverable in a Schengen state.

Flight bookings.

Any other document that the applicant may consider appropriate to support his/her application.

• To submit the application on behalf of the applicant.
• To receive any notification issued by The Consulate General of Spain.
• To collect the passport on behalf of the applicant.
• In case of minors, this form must be signed by both the parents.

For Family visa applications applicants are requested to submit proof of family relations with the principal applicant as an additional document with the visa application, for example

For Children - Birth certificate

BLS International will accept a photocopy of the document after verifying with the original at the time of submission. In case if you are unable to present an original, kindly submit the photocopy of the same legalized before a Notary public.

With regards to the documents submitted with the visa application such as the Marriage certificate and Birth certificate of family visa applications, documents only in English language or translated to Spanish will be acceptable for all files.

Kindly note that if the documents are in any regional language, they must be translated to English or Spanish by any language institute with official stamp and signature of the translation institute/agency.

Documents in regional languages such as Marriage certificate and Birth certificate will not be acceptable.

Note: We regret we cannot accept photographs that do not meet these requirements

Please provide one recent photograph (not more than 6 months old) of yourself, which should not have been used previously in the passport. The photograph should be in colour and:

• Taken against a light background (white or off-white) so that features are distinguishable and contrast against the background.
• Clear share quality and with the face in focus.
• Printed on normal photographic paper (camera print).
• Full face, non-smiling [without sunglasses, a hat/cap or other head covering, unless the applicant wears such items because of their religious belief or ethnic background]
• Please stick the Photograph on the Visa Application Form.

Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete. A photo booth meeting these requirements is available at the centre..

Applications accepted at the Spain Visa Application Centre will be submitted on the next working day at The Consulate General of Spain. Once the application has been submitted, the applicant can be further requested additional documentation in support of the same. Please note as per the instructions received from The Consulate General of Spain minimum processing time is 15 Calendar days (It may delay depending on case to case).

All applications must be submitted at least 15 days prior to the proposed date of travel to accommodate any unforeseen processing delays.

Kindly note if application submitted in Satellite centre, it may take up to 48-72 hours in transit to Jerusalem. All the applications received from Satellite centers will be sent to The Consulate on next working day

Processing time will start excluding the date of submission of application at BLS International Services.
