Coast. Plenty of free parking with fabulous views over Calais and the nearby town of Escalles. We had our lunch here in the car overlooking the port, by far one of the best views I’ve ever seen. A short walk to the monument helps stretch those legs and the monument itself is very moving.

In the Grand Site des deux Caps nature reserve, you can take a beautiful 16-kilometre walk between the Cap Blanc-Nez and the Cap Gris-Nez. There is a footpath that goes from the top of the cape across the beach to the other top.
