Reviews From Our Guests

It’s a great way to get off Broadway and still have some good ‘ole Nashville fun!!! Seriously so much fun! Beautiful views, awesome crew, clean bathroom and great music.

My bridesmaids surprised me with the boat cruise for my Nashbach! It was the best time ever! Highly recommend this event for any group looking to spend an evening partying on the river!

Went on the pontoon saloon for my bachelorette party. We had a blast!! There were multiple parties with us and we all danced together. At one point we were playing limbo with a broomstick. I do recommend getting there earlier to secure a good spot on the boat. Plus, having the bathroom on board made life so much easier.

We had a team meeting (12 people) in Nashville and took an evening cruise on the pontoon saloon. It was the perfect choice for a group activity as they had dinner and beer as we cruised the Cumberland River. Awesome views of the Nashville skyline!! Andrew was great!

Pontoon Saloon was a great experience! The owner and staff are super cool, the boat was clean and roomy! It was a beautiful day on the Cumberland River even in November! We had a big group, so did the private tour! Highly recommend!

Nashville has made a name for itself in recent years as a foodie city, and we can understand why. There are so many famous restaurants in Nashville. With the influx of newcomers and transplants, the solidarity of southern food has been reignited into a revolution of the tastebuds. Here are seventeen famous places to eat in Nashville that have been lauded across the country - and they're well worth the attention. How many have you tried?

16. Edley's Bar-B-Que

alt

Edley's is a great place for a pulled pork sandwich and a neat wood-based restaurant design. It's a fun foray into Tennessee's bbq culture, and although it is a chain, it's the first stop for many once they cross city lines. There are currently three locations in East Nashville, Sylvan Park and 12 South.

15. Butchertown Hall

alt

This gem of a Germantown spot is great for the upscale meat eater - but really. Their weekend brunch is lovely, and their stunning full bar is perfect for any day of the week. (1416 4th Ave N)

14. Sky Blue

alt

The popular East Nashville eatery is packed once you get to 9 or 10 am in the morning, and for good reason. Low-key and delicious, you can enjoy a game of Trivial Pursuit while you wait for your omelette. We'd recommend coming early to enjoy a cup of coffee in the early morning chill. (700 Fatherland Street)

13. Butcher & Bee Nashville

alt

The Charleston-based Butcher & Bee opened their Nashville location last year and it has since become one of the best spots in the city for small plates and a neat, laid back atmosphere. Their creative menu items make every meal a new adventure. (902 Main Street)

12. The Grilled Cheeserie Melt Shop

alt

Hailing from the owners of the wildly popular Grilled Cheeserie food truck, the melt shop just recently opened in Hillsboro Village to quite the fanfare. Make your own grilled cheese masterpiece at this darling spot and fall into a comfort food coma - it's worth it. (2003 Belcourt Avenue)

11. Mitchell Delicatessen

alt

Oh, Mitchell. You've fed so many hungry Nashvillians over the years with your meaty sandwiches and fluffy, fresh breads. Their lesser known breakfast buffet is just as delicious, so don't miss out! (1306 McGavock Pike)

10. Hattie B's Hot Chicken

alt

Yes, Hattie B's may be the most chain-esque hot chicken spot in the city, but it's great for tourists and easing transplants into the whole hot-as-heck fried poultry everyone loves. (Various Locations)

9. Prince's Hot Chicken

alt

And then there's Prince's. The perfect hole in the wall that locals fall in love with over and over, a spot bursting with cayenne spice and crispy chicken that will never, EVER be overrated. Ever. (123 Ewing Drive)

8. Mas Tacos

alt

Mas Tacos was the little food truck that could, opening a brick and mortar East Nashville hot spot in response to their Music City taco-lover following. Bring a wad of cash for their $3 tacos - they're worth every single penny. And calorie. (732 McFerrin Ave)

7. Biscuit Love

alt

Biscuit Love is known for their fluffy biscuits and brunch skillets. We have to say - their bonuts are the perfect addition to the breakfast pastry family, and yes, those Bloody Marys are delectable. This brunch line is worth it, folks. (316 11th Ave S)

6. The Catbird Seat

alt

With only a couple of seats around a u-shaped kitchen area, The Catbird Seat has become one of the best known upscale eateries in the Nashville area, but make reservations in advance! This $$$ spot fills up fast. (1711 Division Street)

5. Husk Nashville

alt

Husk is located in a historic mansion just south of Broadway, a gorgeous home that houses one of the best known restaurants in the city. Its sister restaurant is located in Charleston, each of them touting locally sourced ingredients and revolving menus. (37 Rutledge Street)

4. Rolf and Daughters

alt

Italian comfort food with a southern twist? Um, yes. Sign us up - twice. Rolf and Daughters is located in a converted loft-style building in Germantown, accented with industrial elements and gleaming hardwood. You couldn't eat in a prettier place. (700 Taylor St)

3. City House

alt

City House is just down the street from Rolf and Daughters, situated in a darling brick house with a warm, light-infused interior. Their pizza and pasta are delicious and well-worth the Germantown price tag. (1222 4th Ave N)

2. Pancake Pantry

alt

Ah, yes. The touristy Pancake Pantry. Most locals would stay far, far away from the midday lines down the sidewalk, but that's because we go early - when the great food comes out hot and fast and the lines are still hours away. You should try it sometime! (1796 21st Ave S)

1. Loveless Café

alt

The iconic Nashville restaurant is well worth its salt, folks. Homemade jams and flaky biscuits will give you a breakfast to remember, and it's here that your breakfast ham gets kicked up a notch. alt

Things tend to be chilly in the first month of the year, so warm up in a tropical setting at the Pearl Diver . This unique theme takes the best of island life and brings it to Music City. You might not want to eat on the patio during this month but inside you will be treated to some moody lighting and even portholes as windows. The menu features great tropical flavors and is a great break from the norm. The food is so good it may have you considering this the best place to dine in Nashville.

2. February: Folk

alt

Folk opened its doors a few years ago in East Nashville and continues to serve the best Neapolitan-style pizzas in the business. If you're going for an appetizer make sure you try the homemade sourdough bread, and the cocktail menu is perfectly situated to offset the seasonal pies.

3. March: Margot

alt

Margot is an intimate located in East Nashville in the 5 Points area. Not only is it located in one of the most walkable areas in the city, but it also serves up a seasonal, French-inspired menu that runs the gamut from roast chicken to ravioli.

alt

When April rolls around, Henrietta Red and its fresh seafood add the perfect bite to the slow change of the seasons. The chic space serves quality seafood small plates with an emphasis on platters of oysters. Yum!

alt

Ladybird Taco is THE place for a breakfast taco here in Nashville, and the open, airy interior is welcoming for parties of all sizes. Make sure you come with a little time to spare, though. These foil-wrapped tacos are made fresh for every visitor and the line can get a bit long!

6. June: Emmy Squared

alt

Emmy Squared has a few locations here in Nashville nowadays, and it's an imported pizzeria that serves hefty slices of pizza, burgers, and sandwiches. You'll also find locally sourced ingredients and products that are consistently found on the menu.

alt

City House has long been a Music City hot spot, and it's where you'll find rustic Italian fare served in a stunning Germantown space. City House was the first spot in Nashville that snagged a James Beard Award for its head chef, Tandy Wilson.

8. August: Mas Tacos Por Favor

alt

Mas Tacos is THE cult classic favorite of Nashville. What used to be a cash-only eatery has expanded its $3 taco into the credit card realm and only continues to grow in popularity. We'd recommend the pork taco or perhaps one of the daily specials like fried avocado tacos. Feeling a little low? The tortilla soup is sure to cheer you up, and it has quite a bite!

9. September: Chauhan Ale and Masala House

alt

Indian food in Nashville doesn't tend to get the attention it deserves, and Chauhan is one of the premier spots in the city. Located in the Gulch, Chauhan's take on upscale Indian street food is elevated by the moody space and Bollywood movies projected on the walls.

Rollin’ on the River Evening Cruise

2024 general jackson showboat evening cruise, featuring rollin’ on the river in the victorian theater, february 17 – november 9, 2024.

Join us for a legendary cruise down the historic Cumberland River on the grandest vessel afloat, the General Jackson Showboat! With  Rollin’ on the River , the Showboat celebrates the music from some of America’s iconic river towns.

Our musical journey begins way down yonder at the mouth of the Mississippi in New Orleans where we’ll be playing jazz & swing favorites like “Jump, Jive and Wail” and “When the Saints Go Marching” in”. Next, we roll down the river to Memphis to enjoy a little blues, soul and R&B with number one songs such as “Soul Man” and “Respect” along with a medley of Sun Record artists like Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis and of course, the King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley. Our final stop around the riverbend brings us to The Music City–Nashville, Tennessee, where we celebrate the city’s early music roots, the incredible songs and stars of the 1990’s and finish with the sounds of today’s country music headliners.

A magnificent, 8-piece showband fronts five of Nashville’s finest singers supported by dazzling costumes, dynamic choreography and a spectacular visual multimedia and light display. Miranda Lambert to perform at MuttNation benefit at Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater

On oct. 5, 2024, miranda lambert, hardy, lukas nelson, jake worthington and other guests will perform at a muttnation benefit concert at nashville's ascend amphiteater..

Portrait of Marcus K. Dowling

On Oct. 5, 2024, Miranda Lambert intends to turn Nashville's Ascend Amphitheater into a 5,000-person honky-tonk.

The reason?

The artist who just released "Postcards from Texas," her ninth solo studio album, has gathered some of her favorite friends and musicians to raise funds and visibility for shelter pets nationwide through her 15-year-old MuttNation Foundation nonprofit.

The Tractor Supply-presented "Music For Mutts" will see Lambert joined by HARDY, Lukas Nelson, Jake Worthington and other surprise guests onstage.

Tickets for the event are currently available via Live Nation .

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

"This is a very special event for me and I'm so honored that the artists I asked to join me, who are all such big animal lovers, agreed to help," Lambert offered via a press statement.

'Music For Mutts,' what to expect?

Alongside the concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m. CT, there will be an open-to-the-public dog adoption event right before the concert from 4-6 p.m.

About the adoption, Lambert adds that "anyone who knows anything about me knows that helping shelter pets is what I use my voice for when I'm not singing, so you can bet I'll be singing and talking all night long!"

The adoption event will occur at Ascend Park and include participating shelters Crossroads Campus, Metro Animal Care & Control, Nashville Humane, Nashville Pittie, Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, Wags & Walks and Williamson County Animal Center.

In addition, the Dog Aging Project will be onsite to share information about how people and animals impact each other's aging processes. Fans can sign their dogs up to participate in the project.

MuttNation, at a glance

MuttNation Foundation is a donation-supported 501c(3) nonprofit organization founded by Lambert and her mother, Bev Lambert, in 2009. In nearly two decades, the organization has raised almost $10 million to support its mission to promote the adoption of shelter pets and advance spaying and neutering.

MuttNation's MuttNation-Tractor Supply Relief For Rescues Fund also supports animal shelters and organizations in times of natural disaster by supporting spaying and neutering through the MuttNation "It Takes Balls" program. Also, the Tractor Supply Company-exclusive MuttNation Fueled by Miranda Lambert line of pet toys and supplies benefits the Foundation.
