The music industry has changed dramatically since the turn of the century. In fact, it’s been almost entirely transformed. From the rise of streaming services like Spotify and Apple Music to the emergence of social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter, the way we consume music has gone through several major shifts. And one of those changes has been the rise of live touring. While there are artists who prefer smaller venues where fans can see them up close, plenty of big name artists still perform in huge arenas around the world.

However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic , the industry ground to a halt as people avoided congregating in large numbers. The industry suffered a loss because the majority of planned live events did not take place. According to a report by Pollstar , they lost nearly $30 billion in revenue from sources like transportation, merchandise sales, ticket sales, concession sales, hotel stays, concert sponsorships, and other ancillary income.

The hip-hop and R&B industry is still thriving and profitable despite this massive setback. Artists in the music industry have reaped huge financial rewards over the past decade. These tours have been an asset for artists and have seen record labels sign new artists yearly.

Today, we’ll take a look at some of the highest-selling hip-hop and RnB tours of the 2010s.

Damn, Kendrick Lamar's fourth studio album, was the inspiration for the accompanying Damn Tour. The album was a commercial and critical success, earning him a Grammy and making history as the first rap album to win a Pulitzer Prize . The performances ran across three legs: North America, Europe, and Oceania. The rapper grossed more than $40 million.

Rapper Lil Wayne headlined the tour in North America with special guest appearances from Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Keri Hilson, Lloyd, Travis Barker, and Mixmaster Mike. This tour, also known as the I Am Music II Tour, was Lil Wayne's follow-up to his massively successful 2008–2009 I Am Music Tour, which reportedly earned over $42 million. The Young Money leader grossed $47 million with the tour.

In 2019, the highest grossing hip-hop tour was Travis Scott's Astroworld, which made $53 million. There was also a noticeable increase in demand for his Cactus Jack sneakers, action figures, and other merchandise after the shows. Billboard reports that the Houston rapper has sold 485,659 tickets to his first 32 tour stops. The Astroworld tour marks Scott’s first headlining trek in arenas.

It is estimated that Jay-Z made $55.97 million from his worldwide Magna Carter tour. His twelfth studio album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, was released in tandem with the event's promotional activities. The hip-hop tycoon performed 52 times across Europe and North America over the course of four months in 2013. Within minutes of going on sale, tickets to both shows sold out, forcing the management to schedule rescheduled performances in Manchester and London.

In support of Raymond v. Raymond, Usher's sixth studio album, the singer embarked on his fourth concert tour, hitting four different continents. It had 73 performances and made $75 million, placing it at number seven on Billboard's list of the year's top tours.

Over the course of three months, the Canadian rapper toured the United States with Future by his side. They put on 54 performances totalling 85 million dollars in revenue.

Notably, this was the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all time as of 2016. Accompanying the news regarding the tour, Drake also had his single “One Dance” streamed over one billion times and his album views over three billion times. Onstage guest appearances included; J.Cole, Rihanna, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, YG, Snoop Dogg, Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, French Montana, T.I and DJ Khaled.

Two of hip hop's biggest names teamed up for a tour in support of a joint album with the same title. The rappers, fresh off their success in North America, announced a 23-show European tour. The tour grossed a total of $95 million. Despite its popularity, there wasn't much buzz leading up to its debut; Voyr was the only sponsor for the concert footage.

Drake and Migos' 43-date co-headlining tour made $111 million in revenue despite having a few shows cancelled. Travis Scott, Tory Lanez, French Montana, Meek Mill, Chris Brown, YG, Post Malone, E-40, and Lil Wayne were among the many special guests. The concert tour had support from the Migos' third studio album Culture II and Drake’s fifth studio album, Scorpion.

The Diamonds World Tour is the official tour in support of Rihanna’s Unapologetic album. The shows kicked off in March 2013 and ended in November of the same year with a total of 96. Out of the 96 shows, only three didn’t sell out. One of Rihanna's biggest tours ever was in Morocco, where she performed for 150,000 fans. Opening acts included A$AP Rocky, 2 Chainz, David Guetta, GTA, and Haim. The tour made a total of $140 million.

On the Run II is the second co-headlining tour by American music couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé. The run kicked off in Europe on June 6, 2018, and wrapped up in the United States on October 4, 2018. Associated albums include Everything Is Love, Lemonade, and 4:44. Everything Is Love came after a London show on June 16, 2018.

On the Run II is ranked the 3rd highest grossing tour of 2018 by Billboard, selling over 2 million tickets and made $253 million. A notable collaboration for the tour was by the House of Givenchy for performance costumes. On the Run II is the sequel to their 2014 On the Run Tour, which made a net gross of $109 million.

The music industry is only getting bigger. Hip-hop and R&B have developed into a very lucrative touring industry in addition to being among the most popular genres of today. From artists like Kanye West, Jay Z and Drake taking over stadiums and hitting arenas, there are plenty of ways to make money off the genre.

Rihanna’s ANTI World Tour Hits Los Angeles

A night before she let Drake get a little twerk action, Rihanna couldn’t contain her excitement on the first of two shows in Los Angeles . “L.A., I been waiting for ya’ll. Ya’ll know that?” she said to a packed house of screaming fans at the Inglewood Forum Tuesday (May 3).

Night one of Rih Rih’s So-Cal tour installment was a 90-minute production of bright lights, stunning dance routines, and a handful of wardrobe changes.

Kicking off with “Stay,” Rihanna emerged from the opposite end of the venue, strutting up a stairway in a white hood, beige bodysuit, and custom Guiseppe Zanotti thigh-high-chap boots. After the open, she hitched a ride to the stage on a transparent rectangular prism performing “Sex With Me” in all it’s seductive glory.

The full setlist was a hodgepodge of past and present with ANTI cuts (including “Consideration” “Work” “Kiss It Better” “Desperado,” and “Love on the Brain”) weaved between older hits (“Man Down,” “Rude Boy,” “Birthday Cake,” “Umbrella,” “Love The Way You Lie Pt. 2,” “We Found Love,” “Where Have You Been”), some of her biggest features (T.I.’s “Live Your Life” Drake’s “Take Care,” Kanye Wests’s “All Of The Lights,”), and buzz singles “Bitch Better Have My Money” and “FourFiveSeconds.”

Despite the confidence oozing from her pores, the show’s energy felt slightly uneven at times. One of the night’s loudest crowd reactions went to a pair of backup dancers voguing in sparkly hooded catsuits while Rihanna changed clothes beneath the stage (her wardrobe was on point, just as you would expect).

No matter the seesaw vibe of the show, Rihanna is the best she’s ever been vocally, and more captivating than ever. Especially when she stripped down layers of clothing and teased the audience wearing only a black thong over a lace jumpsuit. There were other moments where she would simply stop and smile to an eruption of cheers.

The stage setup matched the music, transforming from muted notes for the more somber records, to vibrant colors on the up-tempo songs, and a curious overflow of suds pouring down a white backdrop as she performed “Diamonds.”

Contrasting the sluggish and odd foam moment, Travis Scott, opened the tour with so much energy that he needed to catch his breath after the first few minutes. Towards the end of his set, Scott ran up to the Forum’s balcony section to perform “3500” and picked someone out of the audience to rap the n-word, like he did with a white fan last month.

He also told the crowd to rebel against security by standing on their chairs, and gave a short PSA about smoking: “If you got a motherfuckin’ cigarette, throw that shit out. Tobacco is foul!”

As a whole, the ANTI World Tour felt more like a randomly epic road trip, than a well-planned journey — and that’s not a bad thing. Sometimes it’s the unexpected things in life that make for the best stories.

Rihanna's International Tour Hits Some Bumps, Report Those Onboard

A journalist streaks and reporters chant for access to the pop star during a seven day international tour

Mayday! It’s chaos on Rihanna ‘s VIP plane!

Rihanna’s 777 Tour, which kicked off Wednesday, took journalists and fans on a seven-day, seven-country tour in celebration of the release of her new album Unapologetic (out Nov. 19) – all on board a tricked-out Boeing 777. But the sky-high adventure has taken a slight nosedive, with passengers getting cranky – and a little crazy – according to various online reports and Tweets from passengers aboard the plane.

The 250 guests, including reporters from MTV, Fuse and VH1, have been keeping fans on the ground posted, and Rolling Stone ‘s Jeff Rosenthal is one of many keeping a diary of his experiences. “Def Jam’s ever-present staff has done its best to meet the needs of a too-large operation. The amount of money spent on this whole thing could sink a boat,” he reported .

But the pricey plane hasn’t made for the most comfortable trip, according to some reports, which document hunger, fatigue among passengers, as well as the pop star’s relative lack of engagement with the press on the flight.

A blogger for MTV wrote on Sunday night during an overnight flight from Berlin to London, where Rihanna is scheduled to perform on Nov. 19, “Long waits on tarmac and in buses, no sleep, and no sightings of her royal highness since our initial ascent into the skies has the denizens of the Rihanna plane feeling restless.”

“Crowd chanted ‘Just one quote!,’ ‘I need a headline!’ and ‘Occupy 777’ while Aussie journo stripped naked and ran around the plane,” journalist Jason Newman Tweeted , describing some of the onboard activity. (Video of the Australian reporter streaking on the flight has also surfaced online.)

Journalist Mary H.K. Choi also chimed in: “The Australian with the harmonica STREAKED the plane as the press corp chanted. #RIHANNAPLANE #WHEREHAVEYOUBEENALLTHISFLIGHT,” she Tweeted .

According to Fuse , a Def Jam publicist was asked whether Rihanna was aware of the chaos. The rep replied, “I don’t know,” before telling journalists, “Someday, before we die, I’ll tell you my version of the story.”

And the Huffington Post editor aboard for the tour dissects why Rihanna felt the need to host a week-long party in the sky. Quoting a fan may sum up best: “”Everyone wants to be liked.”

The excitement is set to come to an end when the tour wraps Nov. 20 in New York City.

DJ Khaled & The Kid LAROI to Headline NHL Stanley Cup Concert Series

While promoters like Live Nation, or their competitive rival AEG, would be more than happy to book and a promote a global Rihanna tour, the source says “Bitch Better Have My Money” singer hasn’t yet committed to any touring projects for 2024.

As well, Live Nation has not placed any holds on venues for a potential tour. Typically, when a promoter begins booking a tour for a major artist, they will call different venues on the tour route and ask venue bookers to reserve various dates on their calendar to accommodate different routing scenarios for an upcoming tour. If Rihanna and Live Nation were to sign a deal, it would likely take several months to hammer out a potential tour route.

The demand for a Rihanna tour, and new music, is arguably unparalleled. She is one of the most commercially successful artists of all time, with 14 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, a record surpassed only by The Beatles and Mariah Carey . Her last album was 2016’s Anti and her last tour was the one that followed that year. It generated more than $110 million in sales worldwide, and since its final stop in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 27, 2016, she has not performed a commercial concert. She has since only performed three times, including at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2023 and the 2023 Oscars.

She also has a compelling reason not to want to hit the road – in August, she gave birth to her second child Riot Rose, whom she shares with rapper A$AP Rocky . The couple’s oldest son RZA was born in 2022.

As we near the end of 2023 fans are wondering - will 'R9' come this year, or in 2024? Well, despite Rihanna recently giving birth to her second son Riot Rose, it has been reported that she is gearing up for the comeback of a lifetime. RiRi insiders have since shut down the reports, saying 'no tour has been confirmed', but that won't stop the Navy manifesting a tour from their idol.

Even as a mum-of-two the Work doesn't stop, so it wouldn't surprise us if RiRi does announce a tour. Here's everything you need to know about the rumours on RiRi's mega return, including reports of a highly-anticipated world tour.

Rihanna has signed a £32 million deal with Live Nation

Will Rihanna be going on a world tour in 2024?

After reports claimed Rihanna's signed a multi-million pound deal with Live Nation, insiders close to the singer shut down the speculation saying: "No tour has been confirmed for Rihanna.”

It comes after sources claimed that she was planning an international tour in 2024 and 2025.

The deal with the entertainment company Live Nation "was created to facilitate a world tour," an insider told The Mirror .

"Her creative team is quietly at work in Los Angeles putting it all together as she raises her family. She’ll press play on the live show once she’s ready to go back to work,” it was said.

Rihanna welcomed her second son in August 2023

How to get tickets to Rihanna's world tour

In October it was claimed that the star had signed a mega deal with Live Nation. So far, Live Nation have not gone public with any tour dates or planned ticket sales but they will be our first point of call for any updates.

Rihanna and her long-term boyfriend A$AP Rocky welcomed their second son Riot into their lives in August so it might be later into 2024 than we'd like before she returns to stage. A newborn and a tour might even been too much for a powerhouse superstar like RiRi.

As soon as more information on Rihanna's tour and how to get tickets is available, we'll update this page!

When was Rihanna's last world tour?

Rihanna's last tour was The ANTI world tour in 2016 which started in March in Florida, Jacksonville and ended in November in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The 'ANTI' tour was the artist's seventh concert tour and was in support of her eighth studio album ANTI. Only Big Sean accompanied RiRi as a support act on her UK/Europe dates of the tour after The Weekend pulled out last minute. For her North America dates Rihanna had Travis Scott as her special guest.

The tour started just after her song 'Work' with Drake hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and she surprised fans across the world by bringing him onto stage to perform with her.

Rihanna shares sweet footage of her son

After teasing new music for years, Rihanna is currently sitting on an abundance of new tunes the insider continued: "[She] has two albums’ worth of material to release once she’s back.”

Rihanna's fandom pushed a theory a few years ago suggesting Rihanna's comeback could actually be a double album. With news that she has two albums' worth of material this theory could be coming true - now that would be quite the Rihanna revival.

After her Super Bowl performance this year she said she was "excited to actually put new music out" but she didn't have any updates - maybe this excitement could spur the new mum to get back into it sooner rather than later.

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are now the parents of two little boys

Since her album hiatus the star has featured on a PARTYNEXTDOOR song 'Believe It', as well as releasing music for the Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever soundtrack with 'Lift Me Up'.

She returned to live performing in May of this year when she announced her second pregnancy at her Super Bowl halftime show. Dressed in an iconic red fit beside her dancers in all white, the 'Work' star flashed her baby bump.

Her Super Bowl performance, which became most watched half time show ever, went viral on TikTok with even Kim Kardashian and Mariah Carey's daughters North West and Monroe Cannon recreating the routine.

This morning was another long one. We left our London hotel at 3 a.m., getting to the airport an hour later. As these things go, we finally took off a little before 11. For those eight hours, with darkened eyes and pallid faces, we smiled. We re-enacted Rihanna’s dance moves: an MTV cameraman doing the best rendition of her jelly-leg routine from “Cockiness (Love It),” Def Jam’s Gabe Tesoriero surprising us all with his version of her, uh, lap-patting “Birthday Cake.” We recited her onstage banter word for word, tightening her script until it broke: the introduction to “What’s My Name?” goes, as Rihanna said in just about every city, “My name isn’t oh-na-na. It’s Rihanna!” Someone started a rumor that one of the passengers was a child actor from Jurassic Park . Since we hadn’t seen her on the plane in days, an on-air personality from Canada’s MuchMusic printed up a missing poster that depicted Rihanna, looking for answers while walking up and down the aisle. A writer fell asleep while typing, his entire screen filled with a series of j’s and k’s . Twenty people surrounded him and laughed.

A day earlier, the entirety of the plane had risen up as one, journalists starting jokey chants of “Save our jobs!” and “Just one quote!” (Fans, kept to the back section of the plane, joined in with a spoofed-up version of one of her songs: “Where have you been?/ Cause I never see you out/ Are you hiding from me/ On our flight?”) It was all an effort to lure Rihanna out of her private quarters, to be able to write about something other than the fact that we all had nothing to write about. She never came out, and the bad press continued. (She ended her London show by screaming, “Haters are liars!” It’s something she’s said often, but never before on this trip. It seemed directed at the journalists that she herself had invited.)

Today, an hour before landing in Newark, we were alerted to “get our cameras ready” for “a special performance.” The world waited in wonder. Soon after, Nuno Bettencourt (her guitarist, one of the members of the Eighties band Extreme) came out. Would Rihanna join him? No. Instead, we listened with jaws slack as he, Rihanna’s bassist and DJ Reflex sang hits of yesteryear: Lenny Kravitz’s “Fly Away,” a song by Journey, another by Bon Jovi. It was a lovely gesture – these guys did nothing wrong, except pretend to know the lyrics – but why wouldn’t Rihanna at least show her face, to acknowledge our presence (or even hers)?

The landing gear descended. Everyone was told to return to their seat; I had never left mine. And then a strange figure darkened the door of first class. She walked out with shades on, making her way down the aisle. There was less enthusiasm from her, less from us; we weren’t the same people we were six days ago, when we first boarded the plane. No champagne showers; many of us were hungry and tired, a huddled and disinterested mass. It was almost like Rihanna didn’t (or doesn’t) know of anything beyond her seat: with a smile that curled up and out, she said, “I would fuckin’ do this again!” She continued on this too-little-too-late tour, noting that if she hadn’t had to take care of her voice, she would have acted differently with us. “Usually I go, go and go. And this time I had to sleep,” she continued. “Usually I would be back here partying my balls off for ya’ll but I really had to pay attention and take care of my health because I’m on the plane all the time.” She’d been out all night in at least three cities, buying lingerie in Paris, hanging out with Brooklyn Decker in Toronto. But she never had three minutes to see us.

The pilot once again asked everyone to sit; instead, a gaggle of photographers and writers and fans smothered her with bodies and questions. “What surprises are you bringing to your show tonight?” “What was your favorite city of the tour?” “When are you next playing Ireland?” (Her first answer was, “Oh man, tonight is gonna be the shit.” While I didn’t hear the answer to the others, I’m sure they were equally illuminating.) A writer wondered if we would all die, what with the entire mass of passengers rushing up to the front of the plane, and an annoyed flight attendant said that – while the plane was too big for that to happen – people needed to sit down or else we’d need to divert landing. We had three minutes to land, and people were still standing on seats for some reason. Rihanna finally went back to her section, saying that people were “acting bad.” The last of the reckless had sat down, sparing us all a grand jury hearing.

With just moments to spare, people sat down in their seats. It made me realize why no one would ever get access to her: because many of these supposed professionals weren’t mature enough to treat her like a person, and she most certainly wasn’t interested in treating any of us like people either.

After almost four years of work, Rihanna finally dropped Anti on Wednesday. It was first released on Jay Z's Tidal (after briefly leaking).

On the new album, Rihanna takes on new sounds and influences, including the slow, heartbreak ballad "Never Ending," which sounds like British singer Dido's 1998 "Thank You," and a cover of psych-rock band Tame Impala's "New Person, Same Old Mistakes."

"Ultimately, Anti 's sound is more than just another new costume for a singer who's dabbled in everything from flirty teen-pop to aggressive trap over the last decade-plus," Brittany Spanos wrote in Rolling Stone 's review of the album published Monday. "This is an album that forces us to question the boxes we've placed Rihanna in all along."

America’s Richest Women Celebrities

These self-made stars sold out stadiums, broke records and saw their fortunes surge in the past year., by annika grosser , contributor.

It was a record-breaking year for the rich and famous on Forbes’ 2024 list of America’s Richest Self-Made Women: The 15 celebrities on the 100-person list are worth a combined $13.3 billion, up 23% from last year, and include a who’s who of pop stars, TV hosts and producers, from Beyonce and Madonna to Ellen DeGeneres, Judge Judy and Reese Witherspoon.

Newcomer Katy Perry catapulted herself onto the list for the first time with a nine-figure deal: Last fall the superstar sold her master recordings royalties and publishing rights to Carlyle-backed Litmus Music for a reported $225 million. The deal was one of the biggest music sales of 2023 and included five of Perry’s six studio albums. Earlier this year the star announced that her seventh season as a judge on the TV singing competition series American Idol , where she reportedly earns $25 million a year, will be her last, but teased that she is working on new music.

Taylor Swift, whom Forbes first called a billionaire last October, is now even richer thanks to her ongoing Eras tour. She’s worth an estimated $1.3 billion–up from $1.1 billion last fall and $740 million in June last year. Her Eras Tour pulled in over $1 billion in ticket sales in 2023, making her the first artist to ever accomplish such a feat. As if that wasn’t enough, the tour is expected to bring in another $1 billion in ticket sales by the time it ends in December.

But the singer-songwriter, who last month released her eleventh studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, and a deluxe version that broke the 2022 streaming record she had previously set, isn’t the only pop star with high tour earnings over the past year: Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, had nearly $580 million in sales; plus a companion movie that generated an additional $44 million in theaters. Beyonce’s fortune grew to an estimated $760 million this year as a result, up by $220 million from a year ago. Madonna’s Celebration Tour grossed over $225 million, making her the first female artist with six tours grossing more than $100 million.

Together, the three pop icons generated over $1.8 billion from their latest tours alone, a stunning figure. Out of the 15 stars on the list, seven made their fortunes in the music industry, four in film and television, and three in cosmetics and skincare (including singer Rihanna, whose wealth stems mostly from her 50% stake in cosmetics line Fenty Beauty). Tennis legend Serena Williams is the only professional athlete among the top 100; she earned $95 million in prize money during her career and more than that from endorsements over the years. And she’s invested in dozens of companies and launched her own venture capital firm, Serena Ventures.

The threshold for making the list – and staying on it – is high: Contenders had to be worth at least $300 million to gain a spot among the top 100, up from $225 million last year. Almost all of the list’s stars got richer – only Reese Witherspoon and Rihanna’s net worth stayed the same, while producer and screenwriter Shonda Rhimes, who made her debut on the 2023 list thanks to her hit shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Bridgerton, missed the cut this year. The youngest celebrity as well as the youngest list member is Kylie Jenner at age 26; she’s been the youngest since first making it on the list in 2018. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Barbra Streisand, 82, and Judy Sheindlin, 81, are the oldest celebrities on the list.

Here are the celebrities on Forbes’ 2024 Self-Made Women list

Net worths as of may 3, 2024, oprah winfrey, net worth: $3 billion, self-made score: 10.

After publicly sharing her experience with an unspecified weight loss drug, the former TV host announced she was leaving the WeightWatchers board in February after nine years and donating her company stock to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. She owns over 2,100 acres of land in Hawaii and several houses in Santa Barbara, California.

Kim Kardashian

Net worth: $1.7 billion, self-made score: 7.

The richest Kardashian added $500 million to her fortune last July, when her shapewear line, Skims, raised $270 million from private investors at a $4 billion valuation. In January, her SKKN By Kim skin care brand launched a makeup line that “significantly exceeded” partner Coty Inc.’s expectations, it said in February. Things appear less rosy at her SKKY Partners private equity shop, which had raised just $121 million in capital as of March, well short of its reported $1 billion target.

Net worth: $1.4 billion

The Barbados-born pop star gave birth to her second child, Riot Rose, nearly six months after she revealed her pregnancy onstage at the Super Bowl halftime show. Most of her wealth comes from her 50% stake in cosmetics line Fenty Beauty, her joint venture with Sephora owner LVMH; Fenty launched a new mascara last year.

Taylor Swift

Net worth: $1.3 billion, self-made score: 8.

Music’s most powerful star dominated the concert business—and became a billionaire—in the fall of 2023. Her Eras Tour set a record in December as the first ever to gross over $1 billion in ticket sales, according to Pollstar; it’s expected to bring in more than $2 billion by the time it wraps later this year. In April, Swift released her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department , whose deluxe version’s 31 songs broke the streaming record set by her own Midnights album from 2022.

Net worth: $850 million

Self-made score: 9.

The queen of pop kicked off her Celebration Tour, featuring music from across her four decade career, last October after initially delaying it due to health concerns. The tour, which wrapped up in May, earned her an estimated $50 million through April 1.

Beyoncé Knowles

Net worth: $760 million.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour generated the kind of numbers that would inspire any “Diva,” with ticket sales of $579 million, per Pollstar, and a companion movie that pulled in another $44 million at theaters worldwide. While perhaps overshadowed by Taylor Swift, Beyoncé is a dominant force whose fortune increased more than $200 million since last year thanks to tour earnings, the release of album Cowboy Carter and a higher value for her music catalog.

Kylie Jenner

Net worth: $710 million.

The youngest Kardashian launched clothing line Khy last fall, then released Sprinter vodka soda and a fragrance called Cosmic in March. Most of her wealth still comes from an estimated 44.1% stake in Kylie Cosmetics, plus cash from selling 51% of the business to French beauty giant Coty in 2020 for $600 million.

Judy Sheindlin

Net worth: $560 million.

The longtime television judge now presides over a franchise of legal shows for Amazon Freevee, hosting Judy Justice and executive producing the arbitration show Tribunal Justice with a third series, a docudrama, forthcoming. She has also collected a substantial real estate portfolio, with properties in five states.

Celine Dion

Net worth: $550 million.

The acclaimed belter behind hits like “My Heart Will Go On” has canceled all shows through at least the end of 2024 due to complications associated with stiff-person syndrome, an incurable autoimmune and neurological condition.

Barbra Streisand

Net worth: $460 million.

The star continued to mine her past with a collection of retrospective work including a nearly 1,000-page memoir, My Name is Barbra , released in November; a soundtrack commemorating the 40th anniversary of her 1983 film, Yentl ; and Evergreens , an album celebrating her six decades with Columbia Records.

Ellen DeGeneres

Net worth: $450 million.

The former daytime talk show host will hit the road for a standup comedy tour this summer, the first time many have seen the comedian since her program, The Ellen DeGeneres Show , ended in 2022 amid reports of a toxic work environment. She acknowledged the problems and vowed to work on them. In the meantime, the avid home flipper—who has sold at least 10 homes and now owns five—bought a house in Santa Barbara last June for $22.5 million that she sold for $32 million in February.

Dolly Parton

The singer-songwriter, actor, author and entrepreneur kept up her prolific output with a newly released deluxe version of her Rockstar album and a rerecording of the late Tom Petty’s Southern Accents . Dolly Parton’s Billy the Kid Comes Home for Christmas , a sequel to her 2023 children’s book, is due out before the winter holidays. Her Tennessee theme park upped its game, too, with a new roller coaster and the grand opening of the Dollywood HeartSong Lodge & Resort.

Reese Witherspoon

Net worth: $440 million.

Hello Sunshine, the production company she founded in 2016, is worth less than when she sold a majority of it to Blackstone backed Candle Media in 2021; revenue reportedly fell far short of last year’s projections. Still, she remains as busy as ever in front of the camera, starring in Apple’s The Morning Show and the Netflix romantic comedy Your Place or Mine .

Net worth: $350 million

Perry sold the rights to her songs in a September 2023 deal reportedly valued at $225 million. She has since announced her likely departure from TV singing competition American Idol after seven years as a judge and hinted that she’s working on new music. Her fortune is derived mostly from the income earned selling her catalog as well as from touring.

Serena Williams

Net worth: $340 million.

The tennis legend, who retired in 2022, is currently working on a memoir for Random House and a documentary series for ESPN cataloging her Grand Slam– winning career. She invests through her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures, cofounded a skin and muscle care brand, recently entered a licensing deal with Wyn Beauty cosmetics and has a small stake in the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

Rihanna's reported $6 million performance at indian pre-wedding party, rihanna tour-worthy pre-wedding gig asia's richest man makes it happen 💵.

Rihanna is rocking the mic at a lavish pre-wedding bash over in India, where the son of Asia's richest man is getting hitched ... and the performance looks like one of her stadium shows.

Ya gotta see the video -- this ain't no ordinary wedding party -- Rihanna's on a huge stage with a full squad of backup dancers, along with tour-worthy lighting and special effects.

Looks like no expense is being spared, Rihanna's even singing from a rising platform and this whole event is giving her Super Bowl halftime show a run for its money.

The crowd is huge too ... there are about 1,200 people on the guest list.

The guy footing the bill won't go broke, though ... billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani -- worth about $112 billion -- is helping his youngest son, Anant , host celebs and heads of state for the 3-day event celebrating his July nuptials.

Rihanna's giving the people what they want and singing her hits ... like "We Found Love" and "B**** Better Have My Money."

Speaking of which, she's reportedly getting $6 million for the appearance!

As we reported, Rihanna flew into town earlier this week, with crate after crate filled with her luggage and staging -- so, all signs were pointing to the kind of spectacle we're now seeing.

The Ambani family always goes all out when it comes to weddings ... other family members in years past were treated to pre-wedding performances from Beyonce , Coldplay's Chris Martin and The Chainsmokers.

RiRi's more than holding her own here ... and famed magician David Blaine is reportedly booked to perform too.

Money well spent!!!
