Paris, September 15, 2011
Situated in Terminal 1, near domestic gate 138, the location is the third “new generation” concept store to arrive in a Canadian airport – after the opening of two locations in Vancouver International airport last month. Officially opened on Monday, August 29th, it is part of Toronto Pearson’s new branding strategy, focused on enhancing guests’ experience and making every passenger journey to YYZ exceptional.
“ We made a promise to our guests when we launched our new brand identity this past June to provide exciting and innovative shops and services at the airport, ” said Pamela Griffith-Jones, Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer for the GTAA. “ We know our guests are going to love the new addition and we’re very excited to have the iStore join the Toronto Pearson family. ” “ We are excited to be part of the new Toronto Pearson, and we look forward to serving passengers with our unique fashion approach to mobile digital products. As more and more people buy smartphones, tablets and e-readers, iStore will be there to provide hardware and accessories to travelers to protect and enhance these and other mobile devices “, said Mike Battat, President of Boutique iStore Canada .
As mobile digital lifestyle specialists, iStore carries a wide range of personal mobile electronic devices and accessories, including e-readers, laptops, tablets, memory cards, batteries, headphones and portable games, from industry-leading brands Apple, Sony, Monster, Blackberry, Kobo, Asus, Belkin, Targus, and many more. To ensure guests make the most of this digital lifestyle destination, highly dedicated staff are specially trained to advise travelers and guide them through the signature iStore demo tables where they can try a wide selection of new products.
“ We are thrilled with our continued success with iStore, and the opening of the Toronto Pearson location is a major milestone as we are pleased to bring this very contemporary concept to Canada’s busiest airport “, declared Jonathan Alpert, Vice President of Merchandising at LS travel retail NORTH AMERICA.
Five additional Boutique iStore locations will open in Canadian airports within six months with several openings slated for this exciting new concept in U.S. airports starting early 2012.
