Notre histoire
Année après année et de génération en génération nous mettons tout notre cœur et toute notre ardeur à développer nos activités afin de mieux vous servir. C'est en 1927 que tout débute, avec l'ouverture par Jules Lathion, de la ligne postale Sion-Nendaz. Quelques années plus tard, il est rejoint dans ses activités par son fils Pierre. Après avoir connu un certain essor suite à l'augmentation des besoins en transports due aux travaux du barrage de Cleuson et plus tard au développement touristique de la région de Nendaz, l'entreprise prend un nouveau tournant, celui du voyage.
En effet, c'est en 1962 que Pierre Lathion diversifie les activités de l'entreprise grâce à l'ouverture d'un premier bureau de voyage. L'entreprise Lathion Voyages et Transport est née. Après le décès subit de Pierre en 1973, c'est au tour de la 3ème génération d'entrer en scène. Les fils de Pierre, Paul , Michel, Antoine, Jean-Bernard et Jacques, reprennent les reines et s'attèlent à la tâche pour que le travail des anciens ne reste pas vain. Pari réussi pour cette fratrie qui continue à faire prospérer l'entreprise en modernisant le parc à véhicules et en ouvrant des succursales de l'agence de voyage à Sierre et Martigny. Les années 90 quant à elles, sont marquées par un nouvel élan. L'esprit d'ouverture et la nécessité de créer des synergies pour mieux s'adapter au marché, poussent la direction à créer des alliances avec des sociétés partenaires telles que Zerzuben Touristik AG et VSA Mob SA, qui permettent à l'entreprise de développer ses activités du Haut-Valais à la Riviera vaudoise.
Le passage au XXI siècle marque aussi l'arrivée de la 4ème génération dans l'entreprise. Echelonnés sur les années c'est au tour d'Arnaud, David, Raphaël, Maud et Lionel d'intégrer l'entreprise familiale. C'est à présent en tandem que les générations œuvrent au maintien de la qualité des services et à la fiabilité des prestations qui a depuis toujours fait le renom de notre entreprise.

THEYTAZ EXCURSIONS SA is a small transport company with around 15 employees, based in Sion in the heart of the Valais. Specializing in group transportation, our core business is public transport. We also organize excursions for groups, over one or more days, in Switzerland or abroad, we are the specialists for your " tailor-made " outings. Transfers, business trips and school transport also complete our range of services.
Historically oriented towards tourism, particularly in the Val d'Hérens or Val des Dix to be more precise, we own and operate the Grande-Dixence cable car during the summer season. Not far from the dam, the Cabane de Prafleuri, which welcomes you for the ski touring and summer seasons, is also part of our heritage. We also operate a covered parking lot with 70 parking spaces at Rue du Scex 45 in Sion, just above our garages.
In 2011 we celebrated our 75th anniversary, 3 quarters of a century, 3 generations at your service since Cyrille Theytaz bought his first coach and founded the company, you'll find more details in the historical section.
