Best truck stop around!!! Has everything!!! My favorite is the Ponderosa lounge. They have live music all the time, great food, and line dancing lessons. We stay in the hotel all the time, make sure to get the newer part of the hotel. The staff is so nice. Movie theater, dog wash, truck wash, lots of spots, and even a boot repair. I brought my Lanes in on a Friday night and he resoled them in a jiffy for $60 right before he closed. They have a great restaurant where kids under a certain age eat free, and they stay open late for a good hearty meal. Last night I got a veggie omelette and let my husband have the pancakes that came with it and they were huge!!!! All great things to say about this awesome, wonderful place for truckers and locals!!

We are so glad to hear you like the new hotel bedding! We encourage you to always let any employee know if you receive something unsatisfactory -- we are always happy to make it right for you. We would appreciate it if you would contact us directly by calling 503-345-0307 so we can learn more about your experience.
We were given a shower key this morning that did not have the number written clearly on it. We did not get a receipt, as we assumed the cashier taking our truck keys would be enough. We thought the key said 4 at first, but it wouldn't open that shower, so we tried 11, which DID WORK. Chris took his shower, and as soon as I got in the shower, security was pounding on our door demanding we come out because 1. That shower hasn't been in service 'for a long time' and 2. ACCUSED US OF NOT PAYING quite adamantly. Please tell me, how the hell would we have even gotten a shower key and two sets of towels otherwise? What, did they think we hopped the counter, stole the key and towels, and LEFT OUR GOD DAMN TRUCK KEYS HANGING UP BEHIND THE FUCKING COUNTER?!?! Absolutely ridiculous!! By the way, the correct shower was #5, so why did it open 11? They fixed it after kicking us out of the first one.
Truck Service Center. Don't go here unless you like problems. These people had the simplest repair on my truck and screwed it up. Worse yet, they denied it and tried to convince me I needed thousands of $ more in repair. That's AFTER spending close to $3k in repairs already. Told me I needed a $800 part that wasn't gonna be available for a week, because "that's next", their words, not mine. As if they were going to keep replacing parts until MAYBE they stumbled across the fix. Turns out they had done a simple installation BACKWARDS! And every mechanic (incl the kid, and I do mean KID, who installed it) looked at it and said, "That's on right." Thank God the last mechanic (who was fixing ANOTHER problem THEY caused) said, "let me take a look. Oh, this is on backwards!" I was like "YEAH, I tried to tell them that yesterday! (3 days I was there btw, OPEN TIL CLOSED!) 6 mechanics/the last guy to work on my truck found the SIMPLE mistake! Oh, on top of all that, they LOST the spare key I gave them! Seriously!! Lost the Key! Had NO IDEA where it went. Never found it. You can't make this s##t up! They don't care whether they fix the problem or not. Just make sure you pay them! They want their money 1st for sure. Your repair? Not so muchCost me a load AND 3 days downtime when it should have been 1 day and no lost load! Like I say, if you want trouble, definitely take your truck there. If you want unprofessional, unconcerned, uncaring, Un knowledgeable KIDS screwing up your truck and then PAYING thru the nose for their mistakes, definitely take your truck there! Don't believe me, go ahead, try them. Good Luck, because you're definitely gonna need all the luck you can get. Oh, don't forget to get a spare key made BEFORE you show up.

The best food in the world and there fries is so good I will recommend there if you want something good and your in town and the service is great
Parking at 0300 is a loss here. None available, even reserved is full. 0530-0700 there is usually a mass exodus though. The restrooms are clean, cashiers pleasant. They have many of the usual amenities available for sale. Specialty cold coffees ( NITRO) are on tap. They also have hot espresso style coffees available. They do have a grill in the back, and they offer a variety of items for breakfast and lunch. Many of these items unfortunately; are deep-fried. They do have showers, although they are said to be timed. Some say they are clean, others complain that they have to take their towels to the front after their showers. Free showers, I may understand, but if you are paying for a service, then they would be lacking. They do have a Drivers Lounge upstairs; a very long set of stairs, if you have an injury. 0500-2200 Hours.
Don't take a shower here before checking them out, VERY dirty and the management said "Hey - it's only a shower!"
ripoff central! criminal pricing, will never spend my hard earned money in there... people are nuts to overpay the ridiculous prices they charge.... ripoff the O/O on fuel, food and have the audacity to say theyr the best truckstop, ?? wake up folks and shop elsewhere...
Pretty underwhelming. First time in a breakfast place where the waitress brought one cup of coffee the entire meal. She walked by several times but did not seem to notice the empty cups sitting at the edge of the table. Either need more servers or different ones.
First time being here! Definitely will be coming back, the service is good, its just nice having a place open late, but parking is hard to find for semi!
I won't buy gas here. I won't buy food. I won't buy anything whatsoever Because they advertise that they offer overnight parking when in reality - they don't. I parked here with my expedite vehicle just to be woken by security guy and asked to move. This is s case of false advertisement. Why do they call it a travel center when they are not friendly to travelers?

Portland’s own Jubitz Truck Stop named the second best rest stop in America

Following short layover, truck leaves Jubitz stop, heading for nearby Interstate 5. Oregonian Oregonian
- Lizzy Acker | The Oregonian/OregonLive
Jubitz Travel Center and Truck Stop, the truck stop to end all truck stops in North Portland off of 1-5 just before you cross the bridge to Washington, is finally getting its due.
The truck stop , once called “Disneyland for Truckers” by Willamette Week , is so much more than your average truck stop. It has a theater, it has a motel, it has a deli, a grill, a barber, a laundromat, shoe repairs, jacuzzi tubs and a dog wash station.
Honestly, what else could you want in a truck stop? Because whatever it is, they probably have that too.
Now, CarRentals.com is taking notice of this epic truck stop destination. “When it opened in 1952,” the blog writes of Jubitz, “it was nothing more than a refueling station off the highway, but it has grown extensively since then into a luxury truck stop.”
According to CarRentals.com, Jubitz is the second best rest stop in the entire country, falling just behind another truck stop, Iowa 80, near Walcott Iowa, which apparently the largest truck stop in America and includes a museum about trucking.
Nice, but does it have jacuzzis?

Iconic Oregon truck stop bucks consolidation trend
Way before DAT Solutions was even a twinkle in Fred Jubitz’s eyes, the CEO of Jubitz Corporation was making history at the company’s flagship travel center.
“We worked the center’s first 24-hour shift,” said Jubitz, referring to his brother Al. “That was in 1960. We had four customers.”
Fifty nine years later, Jubitz, one of the largest independently-owned full service truck stops in the country, welcomes around 1,500 truckers a day. They flock to this 27-acre Portland destination as much for the movie theater, hotel, restaurant, two delis, laundromat, shoe repair, nightclub and dog shower as the truck stop’s coveted 300 parking spaces and fueling services.
Jubitz founded DAT as a separate unit in 1978 — “it was my idea, Al executed,” Jubitz said — then sold the business in 2001. (Full disclosure: DAT will provide the index for final-day cash settlement on the freight futures contract on Nodal Exchange , developed in conjunction with FreightWaves.)
The software business is no longer theirs, but the namesake truck stop buzzes along, bringing in about $40 million of the company’s $175 million annual revenues even as the industry contracts and braces for tech and regulatory headwinds.
There are about 5,000 truck stops in the U.S. according to NATSO, formerly the National Association of Truck Stop Operators. More and more of them are chains.
In 2005, in the full service truck stop category, there were 1,031 independents vs 704 chains. By 2015, the numbers had completely reversed: 705 independents vs 1,091 chains.
Foreign interests are circling. In August, Enex, a subsidiary of Chile-based Quiñenco SA, acquired one of the largest truck stop chains, Road Ranger.
Larger outfits get a better deal on fuel purchasing, said NATSO president Lisa Mullings. Convenience store chains are also getting into the truck stop fuel business as hauling times shorten and local deliveries increase. “The Amazon effect,” Mullings said.
Founded by Moe Jubitz (father to Al and Fred) in 1952 as a truck leasing company, Jubitz remains “fiercely independent,” its chief said.
“World class customer experiences, that’s our mantra. Every driver that shows up is greeted with a smile and leaves with a thank you. It’s not rocket science.”
On a recent weekday, a steady stream of trucks lined up at the Travel Center’s fueling stations.
Inside Moe’s deli, refrigerated LTL driver Don Stone was heading home to Prosser, Oregon, after shipping product to the Midwest. “Jubitz is a lot nicer than most,” Stone said. The prices are bit higher than other truck stops. “But that’s Portland.”
Driver Steve Zettlemoyer was finishing up a hot roast beef sandwich in the Ponderosa Lounge and Grill. “I’ve been coming here for eons,” he said. “The parking lot is big.” He dismissed the offerings of a nationally-known chain by saying he wouldn’t stop there: “All they have is fast food.”
“I like meals,” said Zettlemoyer.
As parking rises to the top of driver concerns, Jubitz’s expansive lot is an anomaly, all the more so because it sits smack in the middle of a major metropolitan area.
But sitting on 300 parking spaces doesn’t keep Jubitz from worrying about how hours of service rules and ELDs could erode business. “Drivers are allowed 14 hours total a day, and that includes driving rest periods. So if truckers are sitting in Salem [about 50 miles south of Portland], they may not come here because of the massive traffic jams we have on Interstate 5.”
A dramatic decline in long haul runs is also a concern.
“A 400-mile drive — that’s a lot different than going from here to Chicago and spending the night on the road,” Jubitz said. “That’s less guys that need to spend the night here, either in a parking lot or hotel going forward.”
On the subject of electrification and autonomous trucking, Jubitz is agnostic. On the one hand, autonomous trucking eliminates his customer base. But partial autonomy and electrification could boost business, if electrical infrastructure moves on-site and truckers mosey into the restaurant while recharging batteries.
“We will bring to the plate any product or service needed by the industry, whether it be diesel natural gas, hydrogen, electricity. If that’s the way industry is going to move, that’s the way we’ll move with it.”
Much of the company’s expansion in recent years has come from its fuel selling business. Jubitz is a franchise holder for Pacific Pride and CFN.
“That’s been going on for a lot of years,” Jubitz said. “But we’ve been more aggressive in growing in recent years.”
DAT, Jubitz said, grew out of a problem he and his brother “saw right here on our property.” Freight brokers would call in with a load request, and switchboard operators jotted down the information on index cards posted to the restaurant bulletin board.
“That became a messy system,” he said.
So Jubitz traveled to Chicago, aiming to create a TV monitor system modeled after the United Airlines airport terminals. His brother Al, DAT’s founder and former president, had a Master’s Degree in computer science and helped put the plan in action. At one point there were 1,300 television monitors installed in truck stops around the country. They have since disappeared, replaced by online technology.
Al is no longer part of the Jubitz Corporation. Fred bought out his brother 15 years ago.
Now a new generation is coming into the fold. Fred’s two sons, Matthew, 39, and Neil, 32, started working for Jubitz this year.
“I told my kids: ‘This is what I’ve done. We have a financially solvent company,’” Jubitz said. ‘Once I’m out of the picture you do what you want. I’m not going to roll over in my grave.’”
“Like when my dad brought Al and I in — the original idea was truck leasing. The truck center wasn’t even thought of when he started.”
