Cyndi Lauper is currently on her farewell tour , and as well as performing in Toronto and Montreal, she has now announced a live podcast taping in Toronto.
On October 21, the day after she performs at Toronto's Scotiabank Arena , she will stop by the city's Phoenix Concert Theatre for a live taping of the podcast Behind the Vinyl .
Behind the Vinyl is a podcast "where musicians sit down to share the stories about their songs. Listen as they drop the needle and reminisce about anything and everything that comes to mind as it plays."
The event is being put on by local radio station boom 97.3, and host Stu Jeffries will be conducting the interview. Tickets aren't being sold; rather fans must sign up and win tickets from the station here .

Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour with special guests
Cyndi Lauper may "Just Wanna Have Fun" on tour one more time.
The singer announced Monday she's going on a farewell tour across the continent, starting Oct. 18 in Montreal and ending in Chicago on Dec. 5. In total, the "Time After Time" singer's first major tour in more than a decade will hit 23 stops, according to Live Nation.
The event company also said at a later date, it will announce "special guests" who will join Lauper throughout the tour, perhaps at her debut headlining performance at Madison Square Garden. She'll also hit Nashville, Los Angeles, Boston and more.
News of Lauper's final tour , called the "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour," comes a day before a documentary about the singer's life and career is set to premiere on Paramount+ Tuesday. The 70-year-old is also scheduled to discuss the film, titled "Let the Canary Sing," on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Wednesday.
"The film chronicles Lauper's meteoric ascent to stardom and her profound impact on generations through her music, ever-evolving punk style, unwavering feminism and tireless advocacy," Live Nation said.

Lauper also released an album of the same name to accompany the documentary. Live Nation described the 22-song project as a "career-spanning collection."
Tickets for the tour will go on presale June 4 before general sale begins June 7 on Live Nation's website.
Lauper's career has spanned over 40 years, with 11 studio albums and more than 50 million records sold worldwide. She's garnered two Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, a Tony and various other awards, and has been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Cyndi Lauper has announced the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour. Produced by Live Nation, the 23-city headlining tour – Lauper’s first major run in a decade – begins on October 18th at Bell Centre in Montreal, QC, making stops across North America in her hometown of New York City at the iconic Madison Square Garden, plus Boston, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more before wrapping up in Chicago, IL at United Center on December 5th. Throughout the tour, Lauper will be joined by special guests to be revealed at a later date.
Tickets will be available starting with an artist presale beginning Tuesday, June 4. The announcement of her farewell tour arrives alongside LET THE CANARY SING , a feature-length documentary film that explores Lauper’s extraordinary life and career. The documentary will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday, June 4. In celebration of the tour and the film, Lauper will be honored with an imprint ceremony at the prestigious TCL Chinese Theatre Hollywood tomorrow (June 4) in Los Angeles. A special private screening of the film at the TCL Chinese Theatre will follow that evening, along with a Q&A.
Lauper will also be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this Wednesday, June 5 (ABC, 11:35PM ET/10:35PM CT), to talk about her farewell tour and LET THE CANARY SING . She was also just profiled by CBS Sunday Morning .

Cyndi Lauper announces farewell tour
Cyndi Lauper is retiring from the road. The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” singer-songwriter announced a farewell tour Monday morning, setting one last national jaunt that will take her to arenas in 23 cities in North America this fall before she calls it a day as a touring artist.
Lauper did not release any statement explaining her reasons for deciding to do a farewell tour now, although she is expected to talk about it later this week as she promotes a new documentary about her career, “Let the Canary Sing,” that premieres on Paramount+ Tuesday.
The Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, which is being described as her first major road trip in a decade, will begin Oct. 18 in Montreal and end Dec. 5 at Chicago’s United Center.
Arena dates she’ll be playing along the way include shows at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Oct. 30, Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Nov. 1, L.A.’s Intuit Dome Nov. 23, the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert Nov. 24, and San Francisco’s Chase Center Nov. 26. She will also be doing a non-arena show at Detroit’s Fox Theatre Oct. 24. (Scroll down for a complete list of tour dates.)
Tickets go on sale with an artist presale Tuesday, followed by other presales before the general on-sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time at LiveNation.com.
Opening acts will be announced at a later date.
“Let the Canary Sing,” directed by Alison Ellwood, which had its premiere at Tribeca last year, will begin showing on Paramount+ in the U.S. and Canada on Tuesday. That same day, Lauper will participate in a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood before attending a private local premiere of the film at the theater complex, to be followed by a Q&A. On Wednesday, she’ll be discussing the documentary and the farewell tour on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”
