Visiting Different Named Locations In Fortnite

Explorations!

visit named locations with a specialist hired

Published: 16 Jun 2021 11:57 AM +00:00 Updated: 16 Jun 2021 12:11 PM +00:00

For this Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 week 2 quest, you'll need the help of your friends. Fortnite is fun while playing with friends anyway.

That being said, for this quest, you'll need to visit different named locations around the map. It's not that difficult to do, considering that all you need to do is reach these locations.

However, doing this single-handedly can be somewhat of a challenges, thanks to the position of the storm circle.

Visiting named locations in Fortnite

Like I was saying before, completing this Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 week 2 quest solo is difficult. Unless you get your hands on a car with a full tank and those off-road tires, you'll not make much progress.

And even if you do get that car, you won't have enough time to loot. So it's wise if you attempted this challenge while being part of a squad or a trio.

As a group, you and your party members can land at different named locations and then loot the area. Once you've got your hands on some decent loot, you and your team mates meet up at a different location.

If you're in a squad, you'll have completed the challenge in the above step itself. If you're in a trio, you'll have to make your way to another named location in order to complete this challenge.

That being said, it'd be wise if you stayed away from engaging in any firefights during this mission. It's really difficult to take on a squad or a trio single-handedly.

That's all there is to this Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 7 week 2 quest. It's a fairly simple challenge to complete. But yes, you do need to watch out for enemies and wild animals.

Character recruiting an NPC Fortnite

All NPC and Hires locations in Fortnite Chapter 5 season 2

Character hires and vendors are back and stronger than ever in Fortnite Chapter Five season two.

Though Fortnite made a big show of the ancient Greek gods, goddesses, and mythic creatures coming in Chapter Five season two, they’re not the only new folk in town. You can find several popular Fortnite skins all over the new POIs of the season two map.

The best part is these characters are not just mere decor; they can either sell goodies or lend a hand on the battlefield. In this guide, I’ll show you how to find every NPC in Fortnite Chapter Five season two.

How to hire characters in Fortnite Chapter Five season two

Character recruiting an NPC in Fortnite

You can hire some NPCs by interacting with them in Fortnite . On the interaction wheel, look for the option with the character icon and a plus sign to recruit them . Select it twice, pay the price, and you’ll have a new ally on your team.

Each recruited character has a specialty, like healing or scouting chests, but they all fire at enemies within sight. You can command them to follow, move, stop, or revive you with the middle mouse button on PC and the left D-Pad on consoles.

Recruited characters have the handy ability to teleport, eliminating the need to wait for them or shuffle seats in vehicles—although it’s always courteous to make space. However, they’re not immune to storm and enemy damage, so be sure to keep them sheltered.

You can only recruit one NPC at a time . But if you’re playing Duo, Trio, or Squad, each party member can get a plus one.

Fortnite visit the center of named locations in a single match week 7 challenge guide

Grab a golf cart and finish fortnite's weekly challenge with our easy guide.

The Fortnite week 7 challenges have arrived in Battle Royale. Typically, the weekly challenges and their associated patch notes release much earlier in the week, but we had to wait just a little bit longer this week. The wait was more than worth it, though,  as the seventh week of season five is now underway. Because of this, there are new challenges to complete and rewards to earn.

Fortnite visit named locations week 7 challenge explained

How to complete the week 7 challenge, which location should you visit first, where to go next, the third named location, the final location, fortnite week 7 challenge reward.

One of the biggest Fortnite week 7 challenges is the “visit different named locations in a single match” challenge. This simple challenge tasks you with, as the name states, heading to various named locations on the Battle Royale map. While the concept is easy enough to grasp, executing it can be challenging simply because you must do this entire challenge in a single match .

That means even if you complete half or all but one of the named locations and die, you will have to start all over from scratch in the next Battle Royale match. With up to 99 other players fighting against you in every match, and also potentially trying to complete this same  Fortnite week 7 challenge, it’s easier said than done.

  • Can you fix the Fortnite servers not responding error?
  • The best places to land in Fortnite (Chapter 5, Season 2)
  • All Charms and Trinkets in Lego Fortnite

For those who don’t know, this week 7 challenge can be found within the Battle Royale lobby menu. While in the lobby waiting to start a match, simply navigate through the tabs at the top of the screen to the third one called Challenges. From there, you will need to scroll down to the seventh week to see what goodies are available right now.

Of the seven challenges available this week, you’ll see the one asking you to visit different named locations in a single match. This is available for all Fortnite players, so don’t worry about owning the season five Battle Pass, as anyone can immediately complete this challenge and receive its rewards.

The goal of this challenge is to visit four different named locations on the Battle Royale map. Any  of the named locations will do the trick , so you have some flexibility. That seems easy, but can become hard due to how popular named areas are in matches. These places are filled with loot, places to hide, and treasure chests, so it’s no wonder people love Tilted Towers and Paradise Palms .

Since you have to visit four locations in a row, it’s best to head to spots that are relatively close to one another. This ensures that you aren’t caught up in the storm or find yourself without any more locations to visit near the end of the match. Said obstacles can result in you having to start all over, which is just a waste of time.

It’s also recommended that you complete this challenge with a squad or partner if possible. The reason for this being that teammates can cover you and, together, you can keep each other alive. It’s also beneficial to them as they can complete the challenge with you. Now, let’s begin by taking a look at the best way to start this challenge off on the right foot.

How you go about visiting the first location will determine how well the rest of this Fortnite week 7 challenge goes for you. Our recommendation is that you immediately jump from the Battle Bus to a named location. Not just any, though, but one that is situated near a nice group of other named areas.

There are a couple of places that work well as your first spot. The general rule of thumb is that you want to head to locations that not all 99 other people are going to. This eliminates super popular drop spots like Tilted Towers, Paradise Palms, and the recently renovated Tomato Temple. Any of the outer locations, like Junk Junction and Wailing Woods, will do.

However, the best first location to visit in the Fortnite week 7 challenge is Lazy Links . Why? Because you can grab an All-Terrain Kart. The golf cart is going to be your best friend while doing this challenge, due to its speed and durability. Your goal is to visit four locations spread throughout, and your time to do this is severely limited while on foot.

All you have to do is touch down near Lazy Links, and you will see the notification in the top left corner of your screen that you completed the first part. Grab yourself the nearest golf cart and head to the second destination.

We know what you’re thinking. Won’t other people have the same idea? Yea, probably. But grabbing a golf cart greatly increases your odds of completing this challenge, so it’s worth the risk. If you do die, it’ll at least be an early death, so you can reload and try again without much frustration.

As for the second named location, we have a couple of options. Basically, you will want to base your decision on where the first circle is located. If it’s near the eastern side, head to Risky Reels or Wailing Woods next. If it’s on the western side, you will want to go to Junk Junction or Pleasant Park.

What’s great about these two paths is that both the eastern and western sides of Lazy Links have quite a few of the 20 named areas really close to one another. Thankfully, you just need to get close enough for the notification to pop up so you will want to just drive in and then immediately leave, especially if you’re getting shot at.

At this point, the match has been on for a bit. Your best bet is to take a moment to grab some equipment before moving on. This is in case you run into any enemies as the number of people dwindles down quickly. Also, you don’t want to waste a whole match just doing the Fortnite week 7 challenge, so this is a good time to stock up for those last minute duels .

Like before, there are a couple of places you can head to from here. If you headed west from Lazy Links initially, you will want to head to the nearest named location to you. This could be Loot Lake or Haunted Hills. Believe it or not, Loot Lake is actually an easy spot to head to as you only need to reach the edge of the water for this one to count.

On the other side, if you head east towards Risky Reels or Wailing Woods, you will want to either head to the one you haven’t been to yet or go towards Tomato Temple. A word of caution on that spot, though; it is extremely popular right now, given recent changes to the location.

Like before, you have several options to pick for the fourth and final spot in the Fortnite week 7 challenge.

Let’s start with the east side this time. You are going to want to hop in your golf cart and head to Lonely Lodge, or one of the other spots nearby that you haven’t gone to just yet. Lonely Lodge is a great one that is rarely visited by other players, so you shouldn’t have to worry about anyone else.

Of course, the storm might decide for you where your final spot is. It shouldn’t be much of a problem, though, as the golf cart will allow you to cross most of the Battle Royale map in a short period of time. If you’re on the west side of the map, you are going to want to head to the edge of Tilted Towers, which is a place you need to be careful with as players are typically all over it.

Or, you can head to Snobby Shores for a more quiet visit. Again, if the storm is forcing you elsewhere, that’s fine. Simply head to the nearest named spot on the way to the circle so you can complete this challenge. If you’re fast enough and don’t waste time, you can finish this potentially before the first or second circles completely close.

Once it’s all said and done, you will have completed the visit four different named locations in a single match challenge. From here, all you need to do is finish the match, whether it’s a Victory Royale or not.

As with most weekly challenges these days in season five, this free challenge will reward you with some sweet Battle Stars. You will get five Battle Stars for completing this Fortnite week 7 challenge. While not a ton of stars, every bit counts towards reaching that coveted tier 100. With only a few weeks left to go before the end of season five, you won’t want to miss out on any Battle Stars.

Every new chapter of Fortnite is a massive event. While seasonal changes bring plenty of minor tweaks and additions, it's almost always when a new chapter rolls around that major overhauls or new mechanics are introduced. Fortnite Chapter 4 was no exception, and aside from the extreme changes the island underwent, it brought one very important change to gameplay that makes a huge difference when going for that elusive victory royal (it isn't easy to win Fortnite, after all).

Augments, well, augment the game. There are a few challenges that somewhat introduce what these are, but they leave out almost all the important details for you to find out on your own. Augments need to be considered, and deeply understood, not only for when you get them yourself but to know what new tricks your opponents could have up their sleeves. Before you get taken by surprise, here's a complete breakdown of how to unlock augments and how they work in Fortnite. What are augments in Fortnite? Augments, or Reality Augments, are a new perk system introduced into Fortnite. There are currently 20 augments in the game, but there are 32 total that cycle in and out with each Season. You can get access to multiple augments during a single match, but augments do not carry over after a match is finished, whether you win or lose. These perks can range from modifying certain weapon types to granting buffs for performing actions, and much more. There are no bad augments, so you will want to get as many as possible. Augments also have their own tab in your menu where you can see which ones you've had so far to track your progress using them all. How use Fortnite augments

Marking enemies is a challenge that has popped repeatedly when a new Fortnite season or limited-time quest list drops and it always seems to give players a little trouble. On top of it being a challenge, marking enemies is a useful mechanic when you're playing with friends.

So how do you complete this challenge? Here's how to mark enemies easily in Fortnite. How to mark enemies

The new Fortnite Star Wars crossover is here, and it features plenty of new things to do and unlock (including lightsabers!). This event introduces a handful of Star Wars character skins, including Clone Troopers, Padmé Amidala, Anakin Skywalker, and the fan-favorite Darth Maul. However, unlocking Darth Maul isn't as straightforward as you might expect. In this guide, we'll show you everything you'll need to know to unlock this character in Fortnite. How to unlock Darth Maul

First, you need to purchase the Premium Reward Track from the main menu to unlock Darth Maul. It costs 1,000 V-Bucks, but gives you access to a slew of unlockables, including the aforementioned skin. Once you buy the Premium Reward Track, you then need to complete Star Was Quests (found under the Find the Force submenu) to earn Galactic Reputation.

Escape from tarkov director wants players' opinions on what to fix next in the game, multiversus details pve rifts mode.

Fortnite  challenges are usually pretty simple, often requiring players to head to a specific location and do something as easy as using an emote. This time around, players are tasked with visiting every named location on the map in a single match, something that even skilled players may struggle with unless approached at the right angle.

Thankfully, finding each location for this Fortnite   challenge should be overwhelmingly easy, as they are all obviously marked on the map. The trouble is managing to get to all of these before either getting killed by another player or the Storm as it closes in and makes areas unavailable.

RELATED:  Fortnite: How to Get OG Throwback Pickaxe for Free

The key to completing this is using  Fortnite 's helicopters for quick and relatively safe travel, as well as plotting a course ahead of time so as to waste as little time as possible. Naturally, this will still be a lot more difficult as many others may have had the same idea and all be vying for helicopters, but it's one of the only feasible ways to complete the challenge. Ground transportation like cars could theoretically work, but it will be much riskier and players may have to gas up several times.

At the start of the match, players should land on the helipad at Stark Industries (Doom's Domain also has a helicopter). Assuming they managed to get there first, there should be an empty helicopter ripe for the taking. The key is to take note of where the circle will close in, hitting all the areas outside that zone before worrying about anything inside it. Player should pick one direction (either clockwise or counterclockwise) and fly around the island several times, going further inland after each pass.

What areas the player focuses on will depend entirely on where the Storm is in their match , but it shouldn't be too hard to check the map and formulate the best route. Even in the air, players will still need to be careful, as other players are still more than capable of taking down a helicopter from the ground or even from another helicopter. There are a total of seventeen named areas on the map, and all of them must be visited before the end of the match.

For players struggling to map out a route, this sample one should work in most cases. Start at Stark Tower and hit the regions in this order: Stark Industries, Craggy Cliffs, Steamy Stacks , Dirty Docks, Retail, Row, Lazy Lake, Catty Corner, Misty Meadows, Slurpy Swamp, The Fortilla, Holly Hedges, Sweaty Sands, Coral Castle, Doom's Domain, Salty Springs, The Authority, and Weeping Woods. Depending on the location of the storm, players may want to modify this route, but it's a good way to methodically hit everything.

Fortnite  is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

Fortnite command: How to give a hired Specialist a command

Give a hired Specialist Character a command in Fortnite by using the Follower Comms wheel

Issuing a Fortnite Command to a Specialist

Knowing how to give a hired Specialist a command in Fortnite can really give you a competitive edge in the battle royale, as this turns your recruited assistant from a basic follower into an asset you can tactically deploy. With a Fortnite command you can direct your hired Specialist to provide overwatch from a high vantage point, or stay and protect a particular area while you move on, providing much more flexibility than simply following you around. For one of the Spring Breakout Fortnite quests you need to issue this instruction, leading to renewed interest in the process, so if you want to know how to give a hired Specialist Character a command in Fortnite then we've got you covered.

How to hire a Specialist in Fortnite

Fortnite Specialists locations on the map

Eight of the current Fortnite characters are designated as Specialists, and we've marked their locations on the map above. As you get close to one, you'll see an icon appear on both your minimap and projected on screen to help you pinpoint the Specialist's location. When you approach them you can interact and follow the Hire prompt, to spend 250 bars and recruit them to fight alongside you. Note that if another player has already hired or eliminated the Specialist, you'll need to look elsewhere for another one.

How to give a hired Specialist a command in Fortnite

Explanation of the different Fortnite Commands available

To give a hired Specialist a command in Fortnite, you simply need to hold left on the d-pad to bring up the Follower Comms wheel. With that open, you can then select one of the four options as highlighted in the screen above:

  • Wait - Specialist will stay in their current position
  • Move - Specialist will immediately run to the targeted position
  • Follow - Specialist will follow you (default behaviour)
  • Revive - Specialist will revive a downed teammate (where available)

Pick any of those for the first time, and you'll complete the 'Give a hired Specialist Character a command' quest. Of that selection, Move is usually the most useful Fortnite command to give, as you can use it to send your Specialist to scout ahead – opponents they encounter are likely to open fire if they spot them, revealing their position and distracting them while you move in for a sneak attack to catch them unawares.

Specialist Fortnite

How to Hire a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist in Fortnite

Image of Daniel Wenerowicz

Hiring an NPC to help you in your match is nothing new to Fortnite, but in the latest Chapter 4 Season 2 update , some of them have become Specialists. Along with the addition, one of the Weekly Quests tasks players with hiring a Scout, Heavy, Supply, and Medic Specialist.

These NPCs will work the same way that they used to as characters that can sell items or be hired. The difference is that these designated NPCs will play different roles when you pay them, such as healing you with splash rather than fighting. To help you check this quest off the list, we’ll go over where you can hire these characters.

Fortnite – How to Hire Insight, Sludge, Munitions Expert, and Triage Trooper Specialist

Eight characters were added to the map in the 24.10 Update, but four of them are needed for this quest. Initially, these new Specialists were referred to by their role and the quest later changed to reflect the name of the NPC as well. We’ll refer to the class to stay on track with the initial objective title. You can fund all of the NPC locations below.

Specialist Locations in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2:

  • Scout: Cold Cavern landmark northwest of Brutal Bastion – 250 gold bars to hire
  • Heavy: Center of Steamy Springs – 200 gold bars to hire
  • Supply: Docks of Breakwater Bay – 200 gold bars to hire
  • Medic: Crusty Crate landmark southeast of Lonely Labs – 250 gold bars to hire

Related:  How to Recover a Combat Cache in Fortnite

When you get close to any of these NPCs, you’ll see the usual logo which is a head containing a small plus sign. You can hire them like you would any other characters in the past, only this time your gold bars will be much more worthwhile. On top of some extra muscle, you’ll be able to check this Weekly Quest off the list in Fortnite.

And that’s all. For more great guides, updates, and news, head over to the dedicated  Fortnite section  of our site.
