Pokemon Go: Mega Rayquaza Elite Raid Day Guide
Pokemon go: july raid guide, elden ring: shadow of the erdtree - eternal sleep, explained, quick links, ticket information, special research and masterwork research, other ticketed features, non-ticketed features, back to kanto.
One of Pokemon Go 's best events of 2021 was its Kanto Tour . Good news! Niantic has announced it will be following up on that Kanto Tour's success by giving the Johto region the same treatment .
RELATED: Pokemon GO: The Best Pokemon Of Every Type
The event will take place on Saturday, February 26, 2022, and various activities and special events will run throughout the entire weekend. In this guide, you can find out everything you need to know about Pokemon Go Tour: Johto, from ticket info to the Pokemon you will be able to find.
Since the tour will be celebrating Johto, the two types of ticket available are Gold and Silver, the two Pokemon games in which trainers were first introduced to the region. Despite the names, the tickets aren't tiered. The only reason one might be considered better than the other is based on which Pokemon from Johto are your favorites. Tickets cost $11.99, or the equivalent in your part of the world, and you will have until the event begins to choose Gold or Silver. Once you have made your decision, you can't change your mind.
There are two differences between the tickets: the Pokemon that will be attracted to Incense during the event, and also the Pokemon that will have increased odds of being shiny.
Every Pokemon from Johto will be featured in some way, both shiny and non-shiny. It should also be noted that some of the Johto Tour's Collection Challenges will require you to trade Pokemon with someone who has the opposite ticket to the one you choose. The differences between versions can be found below:
Note: You can only access the Season of Heritage Timed Research questlines for January and February by purchasing a Johto Tour ticket. Check out our Season of Heritage guide for more information.
More Info: Pokemon Go Season Of Heritage Guide
Aside from the AR world teeming with Johto Pokemon for the weekend, the biggest and best element of an event like this is the research. Niantic is yet to reveal exactly what ticket-holding trainers will need to do, other than completing tasks of some sort. What has been revealed is what you will get for finishing the event's Special Research: an encounter with Mythical Johto Pokemon, Celebi. If you cash in on that encounter and catch Celebi while the event is still ongoing, it will know a special move.
While the Collection Challenges will need to be completed during the event, ticketholders will also have access to Special Research that won't have a time limit. After that questline is completed, you'll gain access to the Masterwork Research, which is intended to take a long time to complete.
Those who buy a ticket, again whether it's Silver or Gold, will also have access to these features and perks:
- A free bundle of Remote Raid Passes is available via the in-game store.
- Egg hatching distance will be 25% of what it normally is and candy for hatching them will be doubled.
- Extra candy for catching Johto Pokemon.
- Nine free raid passes for spinning photo discs at gyms.
- An exclusive in-game medal.
- Special stickers for spinning PokeStops and, as always, a surprise when taking a snapshot.
If you can't or just don't want to fork out $12 for a ticket, that doesn't mean you can't be a part of the fun. While everything mentioned above will only be available to those who buy a ticket, everything listed here will be available for free:
- This includes regional exclusives, which will be appearing worldwide.
- Pichu, Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Togepi will hatch from 2km eggs you receive from spinning PokeStops during the event.
- Timed Research related to trainer battles will be available.
The Johto celebrations will all be crammed into the Saturday, but the following day (February 27, 2021) some trainers will be given a second chance to celebrate Kanto. The follow-up event is an homage to Gold & Silver's end game, in which trainers are able to revisit and explore the region from the original games.
This portion of the event will feature in-person experiences, which you can only access depending on where you are in the world. Niantic is yet to reveal any specific details about the Kanto follow-up.

Pokémon GO-Whispers in the Woods Event
Trainers, legendaries are always fun to work towards in Pokémon GO. So, here is a fresh new legendary event around Celebi. This piece will cover the Whispers in the Woods event for Pokémon GO.
Work to Befriend a Shiny Celebi
In celebration of Pokémon GO’s 8th anniversary, Niantic is bringing players the Whispering in the Woods event. It is one of the Masterwork Quests. However, players will have to pay for it. The event was made available for players on June 28 and it costs $5 USD to participate.
Players should know that if they are participating in similar events (such as Distracted by Something Shiny), they will not be able to partake in Whispers in the Woods. The last day for players to get a ticket is on July 3 .
Once this is done, players have all the time they need to complete 5 steps to do this. The first 2 of the 5 steps can be found below:
Earn the Platinum Johto medal- 51 Ultra Balls
Catch 251 Pokémon originating from the Johto region- 1 Poffin
Catch 100 different species of Pokémon- 2510 Stardust
Total completion reward- 2510 XP, 1 Mossy Lure Module, 2510 Stardust
For step two, players have to do a lot of catching. They need to catch:
25 Grass-types, 1 Pokémon for 7 days consecutively, 1 Pokémon on 21 different days
Total completion reward- 2510 XP, 3 Rare Candies, 2510 Stardust
More of the steps will be released soon, but this is all the event gives players for now. Completing all 5 steps rewards players with a shiny Celebi. Players will also get a bunch of bonuses to help them during the event.
This is all the community knows about Pokémon GO’s Whispers in the Woods event. Shiny legendaries are always fun to get in GO because they are harder to get in the mainline games. Despite the cost, players will find that this quest is worth getting their wallets out for.

Pokémon Go Whispers in the Woods quest steps and rewards for shiny Celebi
Our in-progress guide for getting shiny Celebi in Pokémon Go!
Whispers in the Woods is a pay-to-play Masterwork Research quest in Pokémon Go , which gives you the chance to catch a shiny Celebi .
Released as part of the 8th Anniversary Party , Whispers in the Woods offers players who missed the original shiny Celebi quest, Distracted by Something Shiny , the chance to add this shiny mythical Pokémon to their Pokémon Go collection. Distracted by Something Shiny was released nearly four years ago after all as part of the Secrets of the Jungle event in 2020, so, if you're a newcomer to the game, you wouldn't have had the chance to catch shiny Celebi!
Some of the challenges in this quest are time-gated though, so take a look below to find all of the Whispers in the Woods quest steps and rewards we currently know about in Pokémon Go to help begin your quest to catch shiny Celebi !

'Whispers in the Woods' quest steps in Pokémon Go
Whispers in the Woods is a pay-to-play Masterwork Research quest in Pokémon Go where the ultimate prize is a shiny Celebi.
Due to being a Masterwork Research quest, Whispers in the Woods will most likely take you a long time to complete as it has been designed to be difficult. In part because it has a number of timed-gated challenges, so you'll naturally find yourself waiting as you slowly complete a challenge before moving onto the next quest step. Thankfully, it doesn't have a deadline so, once purchased, you can complete Whispers in the Woods at your own pace.
Just make sure you purchase and unlock this quest before Wednesday 3rd July at 8pm (local time) if you are planning on adding shiny Celebi to your collection.
With that out of the way, let's take a look at all of the Whispers in the Woods quest steps and rewards we currently know about. Watch out for spoilers !
'Whispers in the Woods' Step 1 of 5
- Earn the platinum Johto ( Gen 2 ) medal - 51 Ultra Balls
- Catch 251 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region - 1 Poffin
- Catch 100 different species of Pokémon - 2510 Stardust
Rewards: 2510 XP, 2510 Stardust and a Mossy Lure Module.
'Whispers in the Woods' Step 2 of 5
- Catch 25 Grass-type Pokémon - 1 Lure Module
- Catch a Pokémon 7 days in a row - 51 Ultra Balls
- Catch a Pokémon on 21 different days - 251 XP
Rewards: 2510 XP, 2510 Stardust and 3 Rare Candies.
More to come...
The Shared Skies Season is here! The 8th Anniversary Party event is currently running in Pokémon Go and it's brought a new pay-to-play quest for shiny Celebi - Whispers in the Woods ! Don't forget to try out Routes , Gift Exchange and Party Play while you're hunting down rare Pokémon , fighting in the Go Battle League or competing in PokéStop Showcases .
How Whispers in the Woods works in Pokémon Go
Whispers in the Woods is a pay-to-play Masterwork Research quest in Pokémon Go available to players during the 8th Anniversary Party . Tickets are on sale until Wednesday 3rd July 2024 at 8pm (local time) and cost $5 or the equivalent price in your local currency. Missing this deadline means you can no longer purchase this quest and will have to wait until shiny Celebi next becomes available in Pokémon Go.
If you did purchase this quest, you'll need to unlock it before the same date by playing Pokémon Go at least once. Whispers in the Woods should automatically start upon purchase, but, if it doesn't, try closing and opening Pokémon Go until it appears.
It's also important to note that players who own or have previously completed Distracted by Something Shiny - the original shiny Celebi quest - will not be able to purchase it. Instead they, and players who purchase Whispers in the Woods, have access to three additional bonuses during the 8th Anniversary Party - double Incense duration, double Daily Adventure Incense duration and double Lucky Egg duration.
With these caveats out of the way, let's take a look at Whispers in the Woods. The first thing of note is that, as a Masterwork Research quest, Whispers in the Woods has been purposely designed to take a significant period of time to complete. This means, rather than taking a couple of hours to complete, it may take you a number of days, weeks or even months depending on how often you play Pokémon Go and your progress with the game. Thankfully, Whispers in the Woods doesn't have a deadline.
Outside of this, Whispers in the Woods takes works exactly the same way other research quests do - being divided into a series of steps, each with their own challenges and rewards, with progression coming from completing these challenges and unlocking their prizes. Keep going until you reach that shiny Celebi!
Good luck completing Whispers in the Woods!

Even with Netflix’s recommendation algorithm serving you new movies, new TV shows, and original programming tailored to your viewing habits, the streaming service’s fire hose of content makes what’s coming difficult to parse.
This month brings Star Trek: Prodigy Season 2, the former Paramount Plus animated series about a group of alien kids adventuring through the galaxy. This new season features Kate Mulgrew reprising her role as Captain Kathryn Janeway from Star Trek: Voyager . We’ll also get The Imaginary , the new animated fantasy film from Studio Ponoc ( Mary and the Witch’s Flower ), the sixth and final season of Cobra Kai , and Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F , the latest sequel in the cop action comedy series starring Eddie Murphy. From the back catalogue, there’s Back to the Future , American Psycho , Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, and more! Here’s everything coming to Netflix in July.
Editor’s pick: Spider-Man 2
Director: Sam Raimi Cast: Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, Alfred Molina
Sam Raimi’s follow-up to 2002’s Spider-Man isn’t just one of the greatest sequels of its era, but one of the greatest superhero movies ever made. The apex of Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy , Spider-Man 2 takes place two years after the first film, with Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) attempting (and failing) to balance his everyday life and his great responsibilities as a web-slinging hero.
With his relationship with Mary Jane (Kirsten Dunst) strained under new threat in the form of his mentor-turned-adversary Dr. Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina), Peter is pushed to his limits like never before as he strives to protect the people of New York. With impeccable writing, terrific performances, and easily one of the most breathtaking fight sequences of the 2000s, Spider-Man 2 is a superhero movie for the ages. —Toussaint Egan
