A: Each user can create up to one (1) entry per email address.

Q: Does it cost money to play?

A: No, the game is free to play.

Q: What is the deadline to pick my fantasy team?

A: All selections must be submitted prior to the first scheduled tee time on the first day of each tournament. In the event a tournament is postponed due to weather, the deadline to submit golfers is still prior to the scheduled first tee time.

Q: Can I join a league with other friends?

A: Yes. When entering you can create or join a league of friends to compete against. Leagues are collections of people -- friends, colleagues, co-workers, whomever -- who have agreed to have their own private contest within the larger contest. You can compete against the people you choose while also competing in the larger contest simultaneously. You can join public leagues at any time with no barrier to entry. To join a private league, you must obtain the league’s password or an invite link, or create your own and invite others to join.

Q: How many leagues can I join/create?

A: You can join as many leagues as you'd like.

Q: How many times can I select a golfer during the season?

A: During each contest segment, you can only choose each golfer a maximum of three (3) times for your fantasy team. Once you’ve used a golfer 3 times, that golfer will no longer be available for selection to your fantasy team.

Q: How do my golfers score points?

A: The four players selected to start for your fantasy team each day will accrue points based on how they score on each hole throughout their round. See official rules for more details on the scoring format.

Q: How do I swap players to and from my bench?

A: To swap players to and from your bench, use the arrow icon in the upper right-hand corner of the player cards. Press and hold the icon to drag and drop your players from one roster slot to another.

Q: When does weekly rollover to the next tournament happen?

A: The weekly rollover to the next tournament takes place every Tuesday around 12:00 pm EST

Q: How do I reset my league password?

A: The league password can be reset by the league commissioner clicking on the edit button in the league details section of the league home page.  This is in the upper right-hand corner of the page on both web and in the fantasy app.

Q: Do non-PGA TOUR members receive FedEx Cup bonus points?

A: Yes, non-PGA TOUR members receive FedEx Cup bonus points in line with what they would earn if they were a full-time member. Bonus points for non-members are processed within 24 hours of tournament play concluding.

Need a simple season-long professional golf fantasy league/pool for 2022? Look no further

1362627766

Cliff Hawkins

The Sentry Tournament of Champions begins Thursday, which means that if you're going to be in a season-long fantasy golf venture and you're not there yet, you've got to act fast. Previously, I have written about the world's greatest fantasy league , and I stand by that work of art, but the fact is that it's for the super die-hards who don't mind tending a roster every week, thinking about keepers, and plotting months in advance to accumulate points when the majors hit. That's not for everybody, and today—courtesy of a friend who wishes to remain nameless—I bring you a simpler, but no less robust option for your 2022 fantasy golf needs. It's perfect for a group of friends who follow golf with enthusiasm, want a little more than the typical boring major pools and the odd wager, but aren't quite at the level of full-time fantasy grinders.

The short version: Each week, you pick two golfers from each PGA Tour and DP World Tour event. Most often, this means four golfers (it can occasionally mean two, like this week, or, rarely, six). All season long, there will be three competitions running: A survivor pool broken into four parts, a points contest, and a cumulative leaderboard to par. All three will run on the engine of your weekly picks—that's all each player has to do. The big catch is that you can't pick the same player twice, which introduces an element of planning.

RELATED: We accidentally discovered the best baseball pool: The no-hitter crackpot jackpot

The anonymous friend who created this pool set it to begin today, at Kapalua, with 46 weeks of action. That said, it's easily adjustable, and 45 is a nice round number if you get it going for next weekend, or even wait for Jan. 20, the first week when the PGA and the DP World Tour are each active.

The full rules and a handy graphic with the season-long schedule, broken down into four segments, can be found here.

(Fall 2022 events on the PGA Tour will be in play, and since that information hasn't been released yet, it's marked as "TBC." A couple weeks on the DP World Tour are also pending at this point.)

That spreadsheet has all the information you need, but here's a basic synopsis of the three contests:

1. Season-long survivor pool. In order to "survive" each week, all four of your players have to make the cut, with one exception for top-ten finishes—if a player in the PGA Tour misses the cut, but your other player finishes inside the top ten, you've survived. Same for Europe, but the two tours are treated separately; if you have both PGA Tour players finish in the top ten, that doesn't save you if both Europeans miss the cut. Because the standards are high here, the survivor element is broken into four roughly equal segments, with a new chance to win each time.

RELATED: Caddie captures unsuspecting shuttle driver giving advice on watching the PGA Tour—to a PGA Tour pro

2. The points contest. This one is simple, and follows this structure:

Stroke Play w/ Cut

No Picks = -25 points Both selections MC / WD in an event = -20 points MC / WD = -5 points Made Cut = 3 points 11th-25th bonus = 3 points 6th-10th bonus = 5 points 5th place bonus = 8 points 4th place bonus = 10 points 3rd place bonus = 12 points 2nd place bonus = 15 points Win bonus = 20 points

There are special rules for the oddball tournaments like the WGC-Match Play and the Zurich team event, which are all available on the Google Doc linked above. Here again, there are four segments with a new chance to win when everything resets, but there's also a payout for the season-long winner.

3. The "Ultimate Leaderboard." This is just your cumulative score to par for the season for all picks. Three tournaments—Zurich, the Barracuda (Stableford scoring), and the Match Play—are excluded. The rest count, and any player who misses the cuts or withdraws receives the score of the last-place finisher of those who made the cut, minus three strokes.

We're charging $40 per entry, and the payout structure looks like this:

Segment 1 Survivor winner = 10% of total Segment 2 Survivor winner = 10% of total Segment 3 Survivor winner = 10% of total Segment 4 Survivor winner = 10% of total Segment 1 Points winner = 5% of total Segment 2 Points winner = 5% of total Segment 3 Points winner = 5% of total Segment 4 Points winner = 5% of total Overall Points 1st place = 20% of total Overall Points 2nd place = 10% of total Low cumulative score for the season = 10% of total

RELATED: Malbon Golf launch world’s first “Digital Country Club” with Buckets Club NFTs

The more players you have, obviously, the more money will be at stake. As a simple rule, 20 players means that any one of the 5% prizes will win you your entry fee back, and a 10% prize will double your money.

What appeals to me about this, and why I think it's a nice design, is that it offers a few protections for someone like me who is busy with family and work and can also just be plain lazy. It's a low effort endeavor to pick a handful of players each week, and there are more chances to win if I blow it early. I will almost definitely blow it early, but one terrible segment won't ruin the whole year.

If you play, good luck to you, and assuming you're not starting this week, please direct all your positive energy to Talor Gooch. Thank you kindly.

Power Rankings: THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson

Power Rankings

Change Text Size

Editor's note: Will Zalatoris, who was originally leading this week's edition of Power Rankings, withdrew from THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson on Tuesday, April 30th.

The last lap of any race should feature an all-out sprint or pedals to the floor. In more ways than one, that describes the expectation at THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson.

A full field of 156 is ready to go at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. For what’s at stake, how the course will test in its fourth year as the host and more can be found beneath the ranking of those projected to contend for the title.

Of course, winning opens the most doors, but the lunge for the latest tape will require a scorer’s mentality throughout the tournament.

After its first two editions as one of the easiest par 72s on the schedule, TPC Craig Ranch transitioned into one of the easiest par 71s last year when the 12th hole was shortened and modified to a par 4. While it evolved from the easiest hole on the course in 2022 to the second-hardest in relation to par a year later, it still didn’t register as among the toughest 20 percent of par 4s played all season. Overall, the field averaged 68.913 on the 7,414-yard test.

As is the case with every shootout, leading the field in scoring opportunities isn’t enough. The putts need to drop as well. TPC Craig Ranch sets a stage for guys to find a groove and ride it across multiple rounds. Decent-sized putting surfaces blanketed with bentgrass are governed to just 11 ½ feet on the Stimpmeter – they need to prepare to withstand quintessential Texas wind – so flagsticks will be in crosshairs more than usual.

Breezes do a fair job of inflating measurements from holes on approach, but the ground game at TPC Craig Ranch is rewarded. Last year, the field’s average in salvaging pars from off greens nearly two-thirds of the time, ranking second-easiest among 58 courses played.

Storms are almost as guaranteed as the wind this week. There’s a reasonable threat during every round. Because the invisible force will flex at times, native Texans always have an edge because they find the strongest pulse. Daytime highs might not touch 80 degrees, so these will not be sweltering conditions. (Wednesday’s Golfbet Insider will include a revisit of the weather.)

The PGA Tour heads to Bellerive Country Club this week for the PGA Championship.

Our FantasyGolfInsider experts have picked the players they believe have the skills to succeed and provide big fantasy point totals.

DraftKings value picks

Matt Kuchar

Some believe Kuchar is a cash play, but I think he makes for an always-sneaky GPP play -- as we saw at The Open a few weeks ago where he was in 7 percent of lineups. Kuch's consistent strong play in all tournaments, not just the weak-field ones, is why we're looking to him in all formats week in and week out. -- Taras Pitra

Webb Simpson

It has been a tremendous year for Simpson as he has shot up to No. 20 in the world (from No. 43 at the start of 2018). He won The Players and has recorded 10 top-25s. His strength is in his approach game and his putter has also been outstanding. His game should set up nicely for Bellerive and his price is appealing at $7,700. -- Jeff Bergerson

Kyle Stanley

Fresh off a solo second at Bridgestone, Stanley is a tee-to-green star (relative to his price). He's slightly above average in distance off the tee, but he's extremely accurate and will avoid landing in the junk on tee shots. He's typically a poor putter, but Stanley will put himself into position for short putts often enough, and scores very well on par-4s. -- Adam Daly

FanDuel value picks

Thorbjorn Olesen

I want to make sure that I can get at least two big names in my lineup this week and in order to do that, we are going to need to dig deep into the values to make it happen. Fortunately, with such a stacked field there are a handful of names in the lower range that stand out. Coming off of a third-place finish at Firestone last week, Olesen looks to continue his recent run of success. In his past seven starts, he's finished in the top 12 five times, including a win. He's made the cut in four of five starts at the PGA Championship so he's far from a rookie and should not be too intimidated by the stage. -- Zachary Turcotte

Patrick Cantlay

Cantlay heads into the PGA Championship fresh off of a T-6 finish at the Bridgestone. Prior to that he finished T-12 at The Open and T-15 at the Travelers. His game appears to be peaking at the right time for the 100th edition of the season's final major. The test at Firestone Country Club last week should also be viewed as a good indicator of what to expect at Bellerive. Similar driving will be required in order to contend here, and Cantlay was one of the best off the tee at Firestone. He will likely improve on his T-33 finish in this event last year, so his $9,700 FanDuel salary is a solid value that also has the upside for finishing points. -- Erik Dantoft

2024 Wells Fargo Championship Tournament preview

The Wells Fargo Championship is this week, and the PGA Tour has its last week of events before the PGA Championship. Quail Hollow is a multi-time PGA host itself, and we have a Signature event this week. It's a long golf course with a lot of demands on longer second shots. This is a ballstriker's course.

2024 Wells Fargo Championship Tournament rankings: Top 10 teams

1. Rory McIlroy : With Scottie out this week, Rory is in the slot by default. He looked great under pressure at the Zurich Classic for his second win of the year.

2. Ludvig Aberg: Aberg should light up Quail Hollow with his driving and iron play. Love him at the PGA next week.

3. Max Homa : Homa has won here twice, and he might just be rounding into the right form at the right time.

4. Wyndham Clark : The defending champion hasn't been quite as good as he was in March, but this week should bring back some winning memories.

5. Xander Schauffele : Xander won the B-flight here last year after Clark ran away with it on Sunday. Having a great year.

6. Tommy Fleetwood : Fleetwood has been playing well, but it's always a dangerous game to like him to win.

7. Taylor Pendrith: This may be too big of a jump in one week, but Pendrith played the Presidents Cup here and should be riding high.

8. Adam Schenk: Schenk has been in great form for about a month and has a top-15 finish here.

9. Sahith Theegala : I'm a big fan of the player, and I think he has a great opportunity to shine on this course.

10. Keith Mitchell : Mitchell runs hot and cold, and he's a little colder lately. Still, he's a big fan of the venue.

Horse for the course: pga dfs course history - 2024 wells fargo championship.

pga tour fantasy golf segments

It's been pretty tough to be a golf fan the last couple of weeks, even for us hardcore degens. After the team format of the Zurich Classic - an event I at least give credit to for trying something unique - the PGA Tour patronized us with the"gift" of the CJ CUP Byron Nelson, an amalgamation of multiple events that were combined together in a corporate stew brewed up solely to keep sponsorship dollars rolling in. It's a trick the Tour learned long ago that they could pull off, they've just never bothered to wonder if they should  be putting these half-baked, watered-down tournaments out into the world.

While there are certainly some large and concerning issues floating around in the professional golf ether at the moment, we do have a legitimately exciting stretch of golf ahead over the next month. That starts with this week's Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow.

Horse For The Course is an article that highlights players in this week's field with elite course history and is part of our free PGA DFS content here at RotoBaller. For my favorite DFS plays of the week check out my Core Four article here at RotoBaller every Wednesday. 2024 Wells Fargo Championship

Following a less-than-stellar stretch on the schedule, the PGA Tour heads to Quail Hollow for the Wells Fargo Championship, an event that's always been one to circle on the calendar, even before earning "Signature Event" status this year.

This golf course has its haters in the golf architecture community, though some will defend Quail Hollow as a layout that at least offers the modern pros a (usually) challenging test. However, Wyndham Clark did slice the North Carolina track - and the competition - with ease last year, finishing at 19-under par for the week, four shots clear of his nearest competitor. It was a coming-out party for Clark, who went on to win the 2023 U.S. Open and has remained a force this year.

He'll look to defend his Wells Fargo crown this week against the best the PGA Tour currently has to offer with one HUGE exception, as Scottie Scheffler remains on baby watch and is the only eligible player not teeing it up this week. Every other big name will be in attendance at Quail Hollow, as we get a quasi-preview of the upcoming PGA Championship. This is a good one...let's get into it!

You can also find out who the smart money is on by checking out Spencer Aguiar's PGA DFS: Vegas Report every week. And be sure to read all of our other top-notch weekly PGA DFS articles to help you win big! This week's Horse For The Course contains excerpts from my Masters Bible, which contains outlooks for every player in this year's field. You can find it free by clicking here.

The Course: Quail Hollow Golf Club

Par 71 - 7,558 Yards, Greens: Bermuda, Designed By: George Cobb (Tom Fazio Renovations)

Originally designed by George Cobb in 1961, Quail Hollow has always presented players with the daunting closing stretch dubbed the "Green Mile", but a Tom Fazio upgrade prior to hosting the 2017 PGA Championship puts the North Carolina layout in the conversation for one of the tougher tests on the Tour schedule.

The first thing that jumps out is Quail Hollow's length. At almost 7,600 yards, a golfer's distance will play an important factor this week. Players will be using the big dog often, which makes me very interested in a player's prowess off the tee. Ball striking will be important, as it seemingly is every week. We must also consider scrambling ability and bogey avoidance on this tough layout.

Rory McIlroy

pga tour fantasy golf segments

Don't stop believin'. After what's been a rocky start to the year for Rory McIlroy - a stretch that's included yet another Masters disappointment and overall mediocre play on U.S. soil - the superstar might have found some positive mojo in the strangest of places by teaming with good friend Shane Lowry to win the Zurich Classic two weeks ago, a victory that resulted in some feel-good viral celebrations for Rors and Shane.

The confidence booster couldn't have come at a better time for McIlroy, as he enters a stretch of the schedule that contains two major championships and three Signature Events across the next seven weeks. We could see the good vibes continue this week at Quail Hollow, a course that's been a happy hunting ground for McIlroy throughout his career.

He picked up his first career PGA Tour victory at Quail in 2010, a win that kicked off a dominant stretch on the Carolina layout. McIlroy has all-told recorded three wins and five additional top-10 finishes across his 11 career starts at Quail Hollow. With his elite course history, positive momentum in tow from his New Orleans adventure, and Scottie Scheffler on baby watch in Texas, this week presents a real opening for Rory to get his nose in the 2024 fight as he continues to chase his elusive fifth career major championship.

Xander Schauffele

pga tour fantasy golf segments

Not really sure what we can say about Xander Schauffele, as offering equal doses of effusive praise and harsh criticism seems to somehow be appropriate for the Californian, who has performed at an unquestionably elite level this year, yet has zero wins or notable achievements to show for it. That's just kinda how it goes when you back the X-Man.

He's been an absolute top-10 machine this year, racking up seven across his 10 starts in 2024. Outside of showing just a little wobble at Hilton Head - a weird course that was played in tough conditions this year - the X-Man has been near flawless in every aspect of the game. With Scheffler not in the field this week, Schauffele grades out first among these elite Wells Fargo entrants in SG: Total.

His Quail Hollow experience isn't extensive, but it is strong - especially when coupled with his 2024 form. Schauffele logged a runner-up finish to Wyndham Clark in last year's edition of the Wells Fargo and also has a T14 on his Quail CV from 2021.

pga tour fantasy golf segments

Following a huge 2023 campaign, the California native was relatively quiet during the West Coast Swing portion of the schedule this year, a block on the calendar where he normally dominates. However, Homa announced his presence with authority at the Masters by playing beautifully at Augusta National. He was in serious contention throughout the week before ultimately succumbing to what felt like an inevitable Scottie Scheffler charge and settling for a share of third place.

Homa almost certainly came away from the Masters with loads of positives after securing his best-ever finish in a major. His performance at Augusta was a great reminder that Max usually brings his best on the toughest of golf courses. Among his six career PGA Tour victories he's won at Riviera, Torrey Pines, and, yes...Quail Hollow. A T8 in the Tour's return to Carolina last year demonstrates that Homa hasn't lost his touch on this beastly layout. It will be interesting to see if his Masters run kickstarts a summer run for the fan favorite. It could begin this week.

Tommy Fleetwood

pga tour fantasy golf segments

First of all, let's all send some prayers/positive thoughts to Tommy's longtime friend and caddie Ian Finnis, who recently had to undergo open-heart surgery. As someone who has had some heart issues, I can tell you it's scary and no joke, so I hope the big guy gets well soon.

Augusta National legend Gray Moore was on Fleetwood's bag for a stout T3 performance at the Masters and he'll likely use TaylorMade Tour manager Adrian Rietveld this week and for the majority of Finnis' absence. No matter who is on the bag, the Englishman is already well-acquainted with this North Carolina layout, as he recorded a T5 in last year's Wells Fargo, as well as a T14 in the 2021 edition.

There was an obvious Masters hangover in his most recent outing at the RBC Heritage, though the Englishman has now put together top-10 finishes in half of his last six starts. His consistency and explosive scoring ability on difficult golf courses make him one to watch this week.

2024 Wells Fargo Championship odds, picks, Fantasy golf power rankings: PGA Tour predictions, expert best bets

Hero Image

Taylor Pendrith took down the field in an exciting edition of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson to qualify him for the Majors and get him into this week's field at the elevated Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte. With Scottie Scheffler skipping this week due to the impending birth of his first child, the field is wide open for this week's event. Only 70 golfers will compete this week for the $20 million purse in advance of next week's PGA Championship.

Rory McIlroy is the +800 favorite, followed by Xander Schauffele (+1000), Ludvig Aberg (+1200), Patrick Cantlay (+1600), and defending champion Wyndham Clark (+1800).

With an excellent field for this Signature Event, who can you trust for your Wells Fargo Championship golf picks? Before you set your 2024 Wells Fargo Championship golf lineups or make any PGA Tour bets, you NEED to see the Fantasy golf rankings from Fantasy expert Eric Cohen .

Cohen is an avid golf bettor who correctly predicted the pre-tournament outright winner of the 2024 Players Championship (Scottie Scheffler +550), 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic (Rickie Fowler +1400), 2023 PGA Championship (Brooks Koepka +2000), 2023 Honda Classic (Chris Kirk +3500), 2022 Open Championship (Cameron Smith +2200), 2022 U.S. Open (Matt Fitzpatrick +2500), and 2022 Phoenix Open (Scheffler's first career victory at +2800). He also gave out S.H. Kim as a +11000 longshot last week, who finished tied for 4th place.

Eric is a contributor to SportsLine's YouTube shows including "Early Edge" and is the host of "The Early Wedge" golf show (live on Tuesday, May 7th at 7 p.m. ET).  Anyone who has followed Cohen's predictions has made positive gains on their golf picks.

Now, Cohen has studied the field set to play at Quail Hollow and revealed his Wells Fargo Championship Fantasy golf rankings.

We can tell you he is backing the 2017 PGA Championship winner at Quail Hollow, Justin Thomas. "Gaining nearly 2.7 strokes with the putter at Harbour Town marked his best putting tournament of the season and could a sign of things to come. Even in the midst of a poor 2023, JT gained more than seven strokes ball striking here en route to a T14, so if he can putt even slightly above average, watch out."

On the other hand, Cohen is fading Patrick Cantlay at +1600. "The irons and putter simply haven't been consistent in 2024. He finished T23 here last year despite losing more than two strokes on approach, so tread carefully again this week."

Cohen also is backing several underdogs in his 2024 Wells Fargo Championship Fantasy golf picks, including a 200-1 longshot who would be a nice piece for DFS lineups ! If this player can pull off a stunning result, it would bring a HUGE payoff and be a valuable piece for Wells Fargo Championship Fantasy golf lineups. You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before locking in any fantasy golf picks.

Who wins the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow ,  a nd which 200-1 longshot could bring a HUGE payout and be the difference for your Fantasy golf picks? Join SportsLine now to get Eric Cohen's Fantasy golf rankings and picks for the Wells Fargo Championship, all from the Fantasy expert who has delivered a positive ROI with his golf picks !

2024 Wells Fargo Championship odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions by model that's nailed 11 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the wells fargo championship 2024 10,000 times and revealed its pga golf picks.

pga tour fantasy golf segments

Rory McIlroy has had tremendous success at the Wells Fargo Championship in recent years. McIlroy has won this event three times in his career, the most recent coming in 2021. The 35-year-old could certainly find himself in the mix again at Quail Hollow Golf & Country Club when the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship gets underway on Thursday, May 9.

McIlroy, who's coming off a victory at the Zurich Classic, is the 13-2 favorite according to the latest 2024 Wells Fargo Championship odds. He's followed by Xander Schauffele (9-1) and defending champion Wyndham Clark (14-1) on the PGA odds board. Ludvig Aberg, one of the opening favorites, has withdrawn due to a knee injury. Before locking in your 2024 Wells Fargo Championship picks, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June of 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

McClure's model correctly predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the 2024 Masters, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Players Championship, and the RBC Heritage this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000.

The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022.

In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 11 majors entering the weekend and hit the Masters three straight years. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the Wells Fargo Championship 2024 field is finalized, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard .

Top 2024 Wells Fargo Championship predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the Wells Fargo Championship 2024: Clark, the defending champion and one of the top favorites, stumbles this week and barely cracks the top 10. Clark has been playing extremely well in 2024, securing one win and two runner-up finishes.

However, Clark has finished T-31 or worse in two of his last three starts on the PGA Tour, which includes a missed cut at the Masters. He's also struggled with accuracy off the tee this season. The 30-year-old enters this week's event ranked 111th in driving accuracy (60.10%). Quail Hollow puts a premium on positioning off the tee, which doesn't bode well for Clark's chances to repeat as champion.

Another surprise: Justin Thomas, a 30-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday.

Thomas is a long ball hitter who's averaging over 305.9 yards per drive this season, which ranks 34th on the PGA Tour. Thomas' ability to drive the ball deep into the fairway has allowed him to use his short irons on approach shots. He enters this week's event ranked seventh on tour in strokes gained: approach to green (0.712), which bodes well at a course like Quail Hollow. If he's able to drain some putts this week, he'll have a great shot at finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship.  See who else to pick here .

How to make 2024 Wells Fargo Championship picks

The model is also targeting five other golfers with odds of 22-1 or longer to make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .

Who will win the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the Wells Fargo Championship 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected Wells Fargo Championship leaderboard , all from the model that's nailed 11 golf majors, including the last three Masters.

2024 Myrtle Beach Classic Tournament preview

The Myrtle Beach Classic is this week, and the PGA Tour has two events this week, including the debut on the Grand Strand. The Dunes is a great Robert Trent Jones design that has some big greens, some intimidating drives and approach shots and is right up on the beach. If the wind comes in off the ocean, it can be especially tricky.

2024 Myrtle Beach Classic Tournament rankings: Top 10 teams

1. Beau Hossler: Hossler is enjoying one of his best stretches as a pro the last few years.

2. Erik van Rooyen: Somehow EVR is in this field instead of the Wells Fargo, and he should light it up.

3. Ben Griffin: He's been in the top 14 in his last two solo events and has been making tons of cuts.

4. Matt Wallace: Wallace had a great week at the Nelson, and maybe that carries over to another oppo-field win.

5. S.H. Kim: He's cashed in five straight events, and he's been strong in the Texas tournaments.

6. Justin Lower: Made the money in five in a row, all of which have been inside the top 28.

7. Sami Valimaki: Valimaki was runner-up in Mexico this season, and his ballstriking should help him here.

8. Matti Schmid: Schmid is a streaky, yet underrated, player in this field and has been posting some good finishes.

9. Sam Stevens: Missing just one cut after PGA National, Stevens has done well in the oppo events.

10. K.H. Lee : I really liked Lee last week in Dallas, but he was unable to get going in the final two rounds.
