These rules and regulations are set in place for your own safety. Jet skiing might seem not too dangerous, but a mistake could change your life in just a split second. Some people have gotten injured because they rode a jet ski without familiarizing themselves with the safety rules. In each country, there are a certain set of rules to abide by for jet skiing. If you plan to travel to Koh Phangan, it is essential to understand what you have to comply to. Here are the things that you should know about jet skiing in Koh Phangan :

• All drivers must have a government-issued photo ID to check in
• You must be 18+ years old to drive
• Please note that a safety lanyard (key) is attached to the Jet Ski driver at all times
• Two guests are allowed per Jet Ski and cannot exceed a total combined weight of 490 lbs (225 kg)
• Jet skiing is not legal at all beaches in Koh Phangan please ask our instructor if you decide to rent by the hour (which does not include a guide). With a tour you will always be accompanied by a professional guide
• Once you rent a watercraft, you need to know how far you are allowed to go. Everyone shares the same sea for relaxation. This is why you cannot drive the craft in the designated areas for swimming. If you break this rule, there can be severe accidents and you may be submitted to a fine or even imprisonment.
• These restricted areas are divided by a long rope and floats. You should not go near the rope and drive the jet ski somewhere else. Nevertheless, it is recommended that you stay no further than 500 meters away from the coastline.
• There is also a speed limit while you are jet skiing. It is the law that you are permitted to drive the watercraft under the speed limit on the conditions warrant. If the water is not calm with big waves, you will not be able to jet ski as well. It is essential for you to obey these regulations. If you fail to do so, you will be faced with several charges by the authorities. It’s important to stay safe at all times. Make sure that the strap is secured and the whistle on the jacket works. You never know if something terrible is going to happen or not. It is your own responsibility to stay safe.
• No additional booking fee, will be required for all tours and packages . Accidents happen, this way you are covered and will not be charged any additional fees.

Jet Ski Insurance Policy covers all private Jet Ski which may use in river, canal or sea area.

Section 1. Insurance terms and conditions o To Cover Total Loss or Constructive Total Loss of Jet Ski, engine, fixtures including trailer for carrying Jet Ski caused by accident such as fire, overturning, collision with sea conveyances or land conveyances or any under water objects. o Loading and unloading Jet Ski from trailer. o To collide with all land conveyances during trailed for transport. o Theft for the whole Jet Ski with violence means follows sum insured stated in the policy.

Section 2. Third Party Liability o Indemnity for any sum or sums which the Assured shall become legally liability to pay as compensation Bodily Injury and Property Damage and Removal of the wreck including legal costs with written consent has been obtained as limit of liability stated in the policy.

Section 3. To cover losses or injuries to the insured person(s)

caused by an accident meanwhile embarking, disembarking or onboard the vessel as limit of liability stated in the policy.

Warranty o The insured must keep Jet Ski in security place. To cover Jet Ski and engine in case of theft or robbery with forcible or violence entry to the insure premises of place to keep Jet Ski. o In case mooring that is temporary, the owner must regularly check weather reports and take all necessary measures to keep the Jet Ski under watch at anchorage. o The insured must take appropriate care for Jet Ski and keep it in SEAWORTHINESS conditions. o Jet Ski must be used not far from 12 nautical miles from offshore. o Drivers must well control Jet Ski or has knowledge as Marine Department requirement.

General Exclusion o Loss of or damage to property insured or bodily injury of driver caused by racing. o Pollution, property or bodily injury of third party caused by use of Jet Ski. o Malicious act of the Insured or their employees to cause destruction or damage to the Jet Ski. o Bodily injury or damage to third party during transportation by land and water conveyances or aircraft. o Contractual agreement. o Bodily injury of employee during overhaul or repair engine. o Illegal use unless the Insured can prove that they are not in use for such evidence. o Seizure, attachment, detention or destruction of property by officials, governmental organizations or agencies. o Property damage or bodily injury caused by Asbestos.

A unique jet-ski safari tour around Koh Tan with an overnight stay in a camping tent on Koh Tan. At about 2 PM you will start from Koh Samui on a jet-ski around the island of Koh Tan with stops at the most beautiful and secluded beaches to have a rest and snorkel.

You will spend the night in a tent on the secluded beach in the company of friends, where you can enjoy a barbecue dinner. The special atmosphere of the coastal camp with the rustle of the waves, the sounds of nature, the starry sky of the island and the light of the moon will give you an unforgettable experience! In the morning you will have breakfast (barbecue) and return to Koh Samui.

The second tour variant is a jet ski safari to Angthong national marine park.

From Koh Samui you will head to Angthong and spend a night in a camp at Koh Wua Talap. You can climb up to a viewpoint (Pha Jun Jaras nature trail) with a panoramic view over the islands of Angthong, visit Bua Bock cave, and go to the secret beach (you can swim there only during the high tide) or you can rent a kayak and discover the neighboring islands. Fishing is prohibited on the territory of marine park.

Before the tour

Prepare yourself for the tour.

• Put on close-fitting clothes. The most suitable clothes are a T-shirt with long sleeves and shorts below the knees of synthetic quick-drying fabric. You will feel water splashes even if the sea is calm.
• Wear a bandana or other tightly fixed headgear.
• Take only necessary things (money, cell phone) and put them in a waterproof bag. In JetSki there is a small compartment for things.
• It is better to take special glasses to protect your eyes from splashes of salt water. The glasses should be fixed with an elastic band. The common sunglasses will not be comfortable for such trip.
• Be careful with sunscreen on your face. The most creams can damage your eyes when the salt water washes it off.
• Do not drink much during the stops. We need spend some time on the sea until reach WC.

Jet Ski driving rules

• Hydrodynamics is very different from what you are used to on land. If you drive for the first time, take some time to get used to the jet ski and its possible maneuvers.
• Observe the rules of driving a jet ski in a group. Stay at least 50 m away from your neighbors. When making maneuvers, make sure that no one is around. Be careful when crossing waves. With inaccurate maneuvers (especially turns), the jet ski can tip over.
• Even the seemingly calm sea will not be so calm. Gas smoothly at the coming of the wave and after it. If the jet ski starts to "flop" from the wave and the warning lamp starts flashing on the display panel, slow down.
• Access to some beaches is possible only along the definite way without corals, that is why follow the instructions of your guide. Gesture with two "parallel" hands means moving one after another in the column. The gesture "criss-cross" means to stop the engine.
• Do not separate from the route of the group, this is very dangerous since the terrain near the shore can be unpredictable.

Perfect birthday surprise, I really enjoyed fun day in company with 4 men. It was private jet ski safari for us, spent all day on jet ski from Haad Rin to Chaloklam and back, stopped few times to relax in nice beaches, did some snorkeling, had nice drink and meal on Bottle beach. Felt very safe and taken care of. Got some needed adrenaline! Perfect!
