Women Who Allegedly Auditioned To Be Tom Cruise's Girlfriend

Tom Cruise's dating life has been quiet since he divorced Katie Holmes in 2012. However, before marrying the former Dawson's Creek actress in 2006, the movie star's efforts to find a new love resembled, well, Mission: Impossible.  Cruise reportedly got some help from the Church of Scientology in his efforts to find a new lady love, employing the church's leader, David Miscavige, to help with matchmaking, according to Vanity Fair . Thus was born the rumor of "audition tapes" to date Cruise, an allegation the Church of Scientology has firmly denied since its inception.

Scientologist Marc Headley, who worked for the church's video studio and claims to have seen some of the audition tapes, told Vanity Fair , "It's not like you only have to please your husband — you have to toe the line for all Scientology ... You can't do anything to displease Scientology, because Tom Cruise will freak out."

Headley's wife, Claire, told the magazine that part of why Cruise couldn't get a date was because "[Scientology higher-ups] couldn't find a woman to have the relationship with at a time when Cruise was talking about donating his excess millions to fund Scientology buildings."

However, most of the women who allegedly auditioned for the role of Cruise's new lady ( Radar Online estimates there were two dozen of them) didn't realize that's what they signed up for. Sources reportedly told Vanity Fair  that the women were told they were auditioning for a training film and then asked what they thought of Cruise.

Penelope Cruz

Cruise's Vanilla Sky (2001) co-star Penelope Cruz was his first paramour following his divorce from Nicole Kidman , and it didn't work out. The matching-monikered couple were together for three years before calling it quits in 2004. Radar Online reported that Cruise even considered proposing to Cruz, with whom he was madly in love. However, Cruz reportedly just wasn't that into Scientology.

A source told the site, "Penelope pulled the plug on the relationship because she felt that the Church of Scientology was the third wheel in their relationship. Penelope doesn't have anything against the Church, but it just wasn't her thing. She admired Tom's dedication to it, but it wasn't her cup of tea and wasn't something she wanted to give her life up for."

Vanity Fair reports that Cruz took a set of Scientology courses during her relationship with Cruise (a fact People confirmed with Cruz's rep at the time of their split), but that David Miscavige called her a "dilettante." Cruise and Cruz reportedly couldn't agree on the religion, and sources claimed Cruise needed a "devout Scientologist." The breakup with Cruz over his religion was reportedly the catalyst for the rest of his relationships and courtships moving forward.

Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara was reportedly one of the women Cruise courted after he and Cruz split, but the Modern Family star didn't know what she was getting into at first — and when she found out, she ran for the hills.

The   New York Post reported that Vergara was on a short list of female celebrities in whom Cruise was interested and that Cruise enlisted his close friend Will Smith to invite Vergara to a pre-Oscar party. Vergara reportedly didn't know she was being set up to meet Cruise or being vetted by the Church of Scientology, but when she did meet the marquee hunk, she was smitten. Cruise is said to have courted her with charm, chocolates, and flowers, but when he eventually invited her to the Scientology Celebrity Center, Miscavige was waiting and asked her to renounce her lifelong Catholicism for her alleged audition to be the third Mrs. Tom Cruise. Vergara got spooked in a big way.

"She was fundamentally terrified of Scientology," a source told the outlet. "She sincerely believed that she would be struck down by God and burn in hell if she joined."

The insider added, "She had a narrow escape. ... She privately pitied [Katie Holmes]. Katie is a much weaker, more innocent person than Sofia."

Jennifer Garner

In Tom Cruise: An Unauthorized Biography (via the  Daily Mail ), author Andrew Morton claimed that in 2004, after Cruise and Cruz split, he also pursued Jennifer Garner, reportedly leaving her vague voicemails asking her, "Do you know what true freedom is?" Morton even claims that Cruise went as far as to send Garner an actual, live Bengal tiger after he learned that was the actress' favorite animal.

It didn't work: Garner, a relatively devout Methodist (seriously, how often do paparazzi snap this woman going to church ?), was neither interested in Cruise nor in the Church of Scientology. She was, however, interested in Ben Affleck, whom she married and had kids with not long after Cruise's attempts to court her.

The Church of Scientology adamantly refuted Morton's claims that Cruise chased Garner, releasing a whopping 15-page statement about the book, calling it a "bigoted, defamatory assault" on the religion as well as on Cruise's character.

Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba was dating now-husband Cash Warren when Cruise allegedly courted her to "audition" to be his next love, according to Lawrence Wright's book Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison Of Belief (via the  New York Daily News ). However, Alba didn't take the bait and never even showed up at the Scientology Celebrity Center to "try out."

The Church Of Scientology has adamantly refuted the claims. While Alba has never spoken publicly about the alleged audition process, she did shade Katie Holmes' romance with Cruise, hinting that Holmes was using the publicity surrounding their relationship to try bolstering her then-floundering career.

"I don't date actors and I don't date people to get ahead in my career," Alba told Female First . "I don't want to comment on Tom's relationship with Katie ... but I'm a very private person and I don't feel you should talk about your private life. I think it's best to keep this sort of thing to yourself."

Erika Christensen, Lindsay Lohan, and Kate Bosworth

Tom Cruise reportedly looked to several other starlets, in addition to Alba, Johansson, and Garner, after his breakup from Cruz.

The New York Post reported that Cruise initially began his search for a girlfriend within the Church Of Scientology, since that would make it much easier to find a partner who accepted the controversial religion. He reportedly "auditioned" Scientologists Erika Christensen, Sofia Milos, and Erica Howard, but none worked out. (Interestingly, Christensen would later come out in defense of Johansson after rumors emerged that Johansson's nixed audition caused friction with her.)

When none of those ladies worked out, he and his handlers expanded their search. In Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison Of Belief (via the  New York Daily News ), Lawrence Wright claimed that Cruise also sought out Lindsay Lohan (seriously) and Kate Bosworth as potential matches, but neither ended up as a love connection for the action hero.

Nazanin Boniadi

Iranian-American and Scientologist actress Nazanin Boniadi had a boyfriend when the Church of Scientology reportedly began courting her as a potential girlfriend for Cruise.

Vanity Fair reported that Boniadi was told she was being groomed for a top-secret mission to improve the world. She was ordered to dump her boyfriend, dye her hair, and have her orthodontic braces removed. She was also allegedly instructed to write a 20-page, single-spaced essay about what she wanted in a partner and in her life, as well as to sign a confidentiality agreement.

She was then introduced to Tom Cruise at the New York Scientology Center in November 2004 and dated him for about two months, during which time the Church reportedly controlled her every move.

By January 2005, however, Cruise's ardor for Boniadi had cooled, and sources claim that it was in part due to Boniadi not always understanding David Miscavige's American English. Miscavige then dumped Boniadi on Cruise's behalf. Insiders said she was "punished" after the split and forced to dig ditches during the night and clean toilets with a toothbrush, among other indignities.

Marc Headey told the magazine that Scientology kept producing audition tapes for Cruise throughout his relationship with Boniadi. "Tom never broke up with her," Headey said. "He never spoke to her ... [It was] O.K., boom, next one. O.K., boom, next one. She gets kicked to the curb."

Scientology denied any of this ever happened.

Katie Holmes

The Church of Scientology reportedly hand-picked Katie Holmes for Cruise after reading a Seventeen magazine interview she'd done in October 2004 in which she said she dreamed of marrying him.

Less than a year later, she allegedly passed her audition. In May 2005, Cruise had his infamous couch-jumping moment on Oprah .

The New York Post reported that Holmes signed a contract with Scientology in June 2005. Cruise proposed to Holmes at the Eiffel Tower that month. She announced her pregnancy in October 2005, and daughter Suri was born in April 2006. Holmes and Cruise wed that November.

Since marrying Cruise, Holmes' dead-eyed interviews and general freedoms were reportedly scarce; she told Vanity Fair they "don't go outside very much." She was always surrounded by Scientology minders.

Holmes filed for divorce seemingly out of nowhere in 2011, according to  The Hollywood Reporter .  Holmes reportedly worked closely with her father, a divorce attorney, to blindside Cruise — and the Church of Scientology — with the news, using disposable cellphones and laptops to avoid being traced or followed by private investigators. She filed for sole custody of Suri, reportedly to keep her out of the religion's clutches. Thanks to a masterful prenup, and perhaps fear of public humiliation on both sides, Holmes and Cruise settled their divorce within just 11 days.

The Church of Scientology denies any and all allegations of controlling or monitoring Holmes pre- or post-split.

Scarlett Johansson

In July 2012, Vanity Fair and the  New York Post each reported that Scarlett Johansson was one of the few women on Cruise's short list of starlets to take the bait and come in for an audition, though it's unclear if she knew what she was allegedly auditioning for. A source told the  New York Post of ScarJo's Cruise experience, "When she arrived at the address and found out it was the Scientology center in Hollywood, she freaked out and didn't do a tape."

Johansson didn't issue any confirmations or denials of her experience at the time.

In June 2018, former Scientologist Brendan Tighe told Megyn Kelly Today that he saw Johansson's name on a report, listing her as one of the women who'd come in to try out to be the next Mrs. Tom Cruise. That was when Johansson got mad.

She fumed in a statement to Vanity Fair , "The very idea of any person auditioning to be in a relationship is so demeaning. I refuse for anyone to spread the idea that I lack the integrity to choose my own relationships. Only a man, a.k.a. Brendan Tighe, would come up with a crazy story like that."

Yolanda Pecoraro

Yolanda Pecoraro was reportedly set up with Tom Cruise not once, but twice.

Pecoraro is a lifelong Scientologist and a struggling actress "known" for roles like "Sexy Brunette" in an episode of Greek and "sexy woman" in The Ugly Truth (2009). If nothing else, she could surely use the boost in name recognition.

Andrew Morton claimed in Cruise's unauthorized biography (via the  Daily Mail ) that Pecoraro briefly dated Cruise after his breakup with Penelope Cruz in 2004. It didn't last, likely in part because Pecoraro was only 19 at the time and Cruise was 42, but Cruise was reportedly "head over heels" for the stunner, allegedly even paying for extensive Scientology courses for her.

However, Scientology experts told the  National Enquirer (via the Daily Mail ) that, after Cruise's embarrassing split from Holmes, he'd likely find his next partner within the Church — and in entered Pecoraro again, described as a "Scientology princess" who was "perfect" for the actor. A source dished, "[The Church of Scientology wants] to show that Tom has rebounded fast and that his new wife is beautiful and steeped in Scientology. If the church decides to make Yolanda Tom's next wife, they'd certainly want her to have a child soon, so she could quickly be going from her modest apartment to a mansion in Beverly Hills with a baby on the way. And there's little doubt she'd do what's best for the church."

But their alleged romance apparently didn't work out because Pecoraro got engaged to Malcolm in the Middle star Chris Masterson in June 2018.

In September, Vanity Fair produced a brilliant (though legally contentious, at least in so far as its subjects complained) report on the process by which the actor Tom Cruise selected a wife. It was reported that David Miscavige, the leader of the 'Church' of Scientology, had enacted a lengthy audition process for Cruise's benefit, something that has been variously denied by Miscavige.

Now the journalist Lawrence Wright has published a book - "Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief" - in which he alleges that several other A-List women were auditioned be Cruise's wife. The list is striking for its length, and includes Kate Bosworth, Lindsay Lohan, Jennifer Garner and Jessica Alba, all of whom were allegedly invited to a fake casting section. What with his extended dalliances with Katie Holmes and Nicole Kidman, does that make Cruise the most romantically prolific Hollywood star? Is there anyone in Hollywood this Top Gun was not involved with?

Mimi Rogers

Tom’s first marriage was to  Mimi Rogers  in 1987. The actor had experienced early success in his career with  Risky Business  and  Top Gun , before he married the actress. Mimi, 66, has starred in a number of beloved movies like Lost In Space  or the first  Austin Powers  film. While the marriage was short-lived, Mimi did have a major impact on Tom, being the one who introduced him to Scientology, according to the book The Passion of Tom Cruise , via  Radar .  Her dad had been an original member of the church, via  The Hollywood Reporter .

Tom had said that the pair met at a dinner party in a 1986 profile by  Rolling Stone . In another profile , he later gushed about Mimi. “I care about my wife more than anything in the world. She’s my best friend. I just really like being with her, you know? I love her,” he said.

Unfortunately, the couple later split and broke up in 1990. In the years since the divorce, Mimi has said that she regularly gets questioned about her marriage to the  Top Gun  star, but she doesn’t really comment much. ““Any time anything happens with him I get a call: ’What do you think of Katie? What do think about this?’ … ’Yeah, he’s having a kid. Of course I think it’s great. What do you want me to say?’ ’Do you think he’ll be a good father?’ ’How do I know any more than I would know what kind of parent you would be,” she explained to  Today  in 2006.

Meanwhile, Mimi keeps her fans up to date on her latest moves via Instagram . Her last post celebrated another season of working on the hit TV show Bosch Legacy.

Nicole Kidman

After the split from Mimi, Tom starred alongside his future wife  Nicole Kidman in  Days of Thunder,  and the pair got married in December 1990. The couple adopted two kids: a daughter Isabella,   29, and a son Connor,  27, in the 90s. During their 11-year marriage, Tom and Nicole also starred in the 1999 film  Eyes Wide Shut  together, which Nicole, 54, looked back on fondly in a 2020 New York Times   interview. “We were happily married through that. We would go go-kart racing after those scenes. We’d rent out a place and go racing at 3 in the morning,” she said.

After 11 years together, the couple broke up, and Tom filed for divorce in February 2001. In the years after the split, Nicole said the breakup was a “major shock” in a 2006 interview with  Ladies Home Journal,  per  Today .  “I knew I was going to get hit with something. But I think a divorce, and the demise of what your family is, is a little death in itself,” she said. Shortly after the split, there had been reports that Nicole had suffered a miscarriage at the end of their relationship, but she set the record straight in a 2007 interview with  Marie Claire . She said that it was “wrongly reported,” and clarified, “I had an ectopic pregnancy at the beginning of [my marriage].”

Katie Holmes

Tom’s third and most recent marriage was to actress Katie Holmes .  The pair started dating in 2005, and they were quickly nicknamed “TomKat.” The actor famously declared his love for Katie in a viral interview with  Oprah Winfrey,  where he jumped on the couch on her talk show. A year after going public with their romance, Katie, 43, had their first daughter   Suri ,  16, together in April 2006. The couple got married that November. The wedding was an extravagant affair, with tons of high profile guests like  Jada Pinkett-Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Jim Carrey,  and many more, per  USA Today.   Tom’s best man was the head of the Church of Scientology  David Miscavige,  according to the   BBC .

After six years of marriage, the couple divorced in 2012. Katie announced that she was filing for divorce, and the split was quickly resolved due to a prenup arranged by the actress’s dad, according to  Vanity Fair . After the split, Katie moved to New York with Suri. Although she doesn’t often share snaps of her mini-me daughter to her Instagram , Katie does give fans a peek at her life in the Big Apple.

She reflected on the time after the divorce in an April 2020 interview with   InStyle . “That time was intense. It was a lot of attention, and I had a little child on top of it. We had some funny moments out and about in public. So many people I didn’t know became my friends and helped us out, and that’s what I love about the city,” she said.

The Woman (Before Katie Holmes) Who Failed Her Audition To Be Tom Cruise's Wife

Earlier this year we read reports claiming that Scientology held auditions to help Tom Cruise find a new wife. It was rumored that Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba were considered for the role before Scientologists came across then-26-year-old Katie Holmes.This week Vanity Fair has a cover story with more details on the " secret wife-auditioning process " and one of the candidates who came pretty far along in the process before Holmes: Nazanin Boniadi . (Nope, we hadn't heard of her either.)

The Iranian-born, London-raised actress and Scientologist dated Cruise from November 2004 until January 2005. Her preparation began in October 2004, when she was told only that she was preparing for "a very important mission" on behalf of Scientology.

Boniadi was audited every single day, asked to reveal her innermost secrets and every detail of her sex life, according to Vanity Fair . Anonymous sources told the magazine that she was even convinced to break up with her boyfriend after his own secrets were revealed to her by Scientologists (a spokesman denies that confidential files were ever breached). During that time, she got a "She's All That"-worthy makeover, losing her braces and changing her hair color.

After this month-long process, she was introduced to Cruise:

For their first date Cruise and Boniadi went to dinner at Nobu with an entourage of Scientology aides, then to the skating rink at Rockefeller Center, which was closed to the public especially for them. The two spent that first night together but, according to several sources, they did not have sex. At the Trump Tower, where Cruise and the entourage had rented an entire floor, Cruise purportedly told Boniadi, “I’ve never felt this way before.” She was given a second confidentiality agreement specifically about Cruise to sign. Boniadi could tell her worried parents (her mother was also formerly a Scientologist) only that she was in New York on a special Scientology project.

But this turned out to be a mission impossible for Boniadi. She just didn't quite make the cut, thanks to a couple verbal missteps with Scientology leader David Miscavige and Cruise. That and the fact that she couldn't match his intense public displays of affection (and this was pre-couch jumping). Boniadi moved in with Cruise and shared a bedroom, but by the third week of January, she was asked to move into Scientology's Celebrity Centre. Cruise reportedly had the Scientologists do the dirty work of breaking up with his live-in girlfriend.Vanity Fair reports that Boniadi broke her confidentiality agreement and explained to a friend what she had just been through. This friend reported her to Scientology, and Boniadi found herself being punished by digging ditches and scrubbing toilets (a spokesperson for Scientology denies this, too).

Boniadi has since left Scientology.

Women Did Audition to Be Tom Cruise’s Girlfriend, but Not Scarlett Johansson

As Vanity Fair ’s Maureen Orth reported in 2012 , the Church of Scientology put several actresses through an “audition process,” in which they were tried out as potential girlfriends for Tom Cruise. Nazanin Boniadi was one of them, and, as Orth reported, she was allegedly coerced into breaking up with her boyfriend and enter a highly monitored relationship with Cruise—who, months later, moved on with Katie Holmes.

Scarlett Johansson, however, was not ever an actress put through this process—and she has strong words for anyone who suggests she was.

On Wednesday, former Scientologist Brendan Tighe appeared on Megyn Kelly Today , where he told the host that Johansson has been one of the actresses to audition to be Cruise’s girlfriend. Johansson wrote in a statement provided to Vanity Fair that she was not pleased with this claim for more than one reason.

“The very idea of any person auditioning to be in a relationship is so demeaning. I refuse for anyone to spread the idea that I lack the integrity to choose my own relationships. Only a man, a.k.a. Brendan Tighe, would come up with a crazy story like that,” she wrote.

Tighe, who claims to have been a member of Cruise’s Scientology security unit, said a report that mentioned Johansson and her audition was sent to his printer by mistake. He said he also read in the document that Parenthood ’s Erika Christensen, who’s spoken out about her association with Scientology, had to “disconnect from Scarlett Johansson because [the audition] didn’t go well.” In response to a request for comment, Christensen sent the following statement: “I’ve worked with Scarlett and think Scarlett is a lovely person, incredibly talented. This story made me laugh but should be set straight for its intention to create some conflict. It’s a strange feeling to be a part of a story that’s untrue. There is no conflict—I think Scarlett’s great and would love to work with her again.” .

A few years back, a book based on scientology revealed how an audition was held to choose the right wife for tom.

Tom Cruise is undeniably one of the most-celebrated actors at the moment but looks like he has had an interesting journey in the film industry so far. He has lately been promoting sequel film Top Gun: Maverick and as a part of it, has been in the news for quite interesting details. A few years back, a book based on Scientology revealed how an audition was held to choose the right wife for Tom after his split with Penelope Cruz.

For the unversed, Cruise has lately been in the news for his upcoming film Top Gun: Maverick and looks like a specific scene from the film’s trailer is now garnering a lot of attention on social media. The short segment in the trailer where the actor is seen flying a plane got a lot of attention as most people assumed that Cruise was the one to drive it. One of the producers, however, recently refuted the rumours, clarifying that it was a body double.

According to a report by Daily Mail in 2013, Tom Cruise was specifically mentioned in the book Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison Belief which stirred up a massive debate amongst the audience. The book, which was written by Lawrence Wright, mentioned Tom complained to his close friend David Miscavige, who was a leader at Scientology and he decided to hold auditions to find the new Mrs Cruise.

The auditions were reportedly held at Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles and several Hollywood celebs including Scarlett Johansson , Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan & Kate Bosworth were a part of it. Lohan, who was just 18 at that time, was one of the many women who were rejected before Tom Cruise chose Katie Holmes as his life partner in 2005.

A bevy of Hollywood beauties summoned for auditions to star opposite Tom Cruise were unwittingly vying for the role of his third wife, an explosive new book reports.

The clueless contestants invited to pursue the bogus part in the “Mission: Impossible” series included Scarlett Johansson, Kate Bosworth, Jessica Alba, Lindsay Lohan — and bride-to-be Katie Holmes.

According to “Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood and the Prison of Belief,” the frisky business began after the “Risky Business” star ended his three-year relationship with Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz in 2004.

Their split was reportedly in part over her failure to fully embrace Scientology.

During a postbreakup trip to Madrid for the opening of a new church, the book reported, “Cruise heatedly complained to his sister that no one had been able to find him a new girlfriend.”

Cruise — whose marriages to actresses Nicole Kidman and Mimi Rogers ended in divorce — made the same complaint to Scientology leader/best friend David Miscavige.

The church’s head man wasted no time in conducting his own celebrity version of “The Bachelor,” the book reports.

Miscavige immediately instructed church members to scour the congregation for its best-looking female members, the book says.

A lawyer for Cruise insisted that the girlfriend gripes in Spain never happened.

The courting of Tinseltown talent on Cruise’s behalf reportedly came after the collapse of his relationship with “Modern Family” star Sofia Vergara. The two went their separate ways after her refusal to join Scientology, reported Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright.

Cruise, now 50, turned his eye to actress Jennifer Garner — who instead married actor Ben Affleck in 2005.

His Scientologist matchmakers, under the ruse of tryouts for a part in a Cruise blockbuster, then invited the mostly A-list actresses to the “auditions” at the group’s Celebrity Center.

Cruise met Holmes in April 2005, leading to his infamous couch-jumping escapade with Oprah Winfrey, their marriage and the birth of their daughter, Suri.

Holmes, 34, split with Cruise in a divorce stunner in 2011, ending their five-year union.

According to the book, Cruise was earlier fixed up with Scientology member/actress Nazanian Boniadi, a 25-year-old beauty who was already dating someone else, a match that was first hinted at in Vanity Fair.

Church officials, intent on pairing the actress with Cruise, showed Boniadi proof that her boyfriend was cheating on her.

She broke off their relationship before boarding a flight to New York for a date with Cruise.

Their first night included an Empire State Building visit, dinner at Nobu, skating at Rockefeller Center and accommodations at the Trump Tower, the book reported.

The next day, she was asked to sign a nondisclosure agreement — an apparent sign of Cruise’s approval and her commitment to keeping her mouth shut about their relationship.

Church executive Tommy Davis informed the dark-haired beauty that her new role was keeping Cruise happy, according to the book.

“Davis warned her that if she did anything to upset Cruise, he would personally destroy her,” the book reported. “Davis and (Scientology official) Jessica Feshback were constantly tutoring her in how to behave toward the star.”

But the relationship fizzled out, and Feshback ordered Boniadi to pack her belongings and get out of Cruise’s home. The ex-girlfriend last saw the cinematic superstar working out in his home gym, and never heard from him again.

When an emotionally overwrought Boniada confessed her love for Cruise to another Scientologist, the church hierarchy punished the actress by making her scrub public toilets with a toothbrush, the book reported.

The church has denied the allegations of punishment against Boniadi for speaking about Cruise.

According to the book, church officials had a monetary interest in keeping their best-known member happy. He was a huge donor, providing Scientology with $3 million in 2004 alone. But Cruise’s interests extended beyond the church and the box office, the book reported.

In 2003, he and Miscavige reportedly lobbied the Bush administration to employ Scientology methods in the No Child Left Behind initiative. The pair reportedly were discussing their effort when the talk turned to politics.

“If f—— Arnold (Schwarzenegger) can be governor, I could be President,” Cruise said.

“Well, absolutely, Tom,” replied Miscavige.

Cruise’s attorney denied that the conversation ever took place.

The book also detailed Cruise’s attempts to recruit director Steven Spielberg into the Scientology fold. The Oscar winner directed Cruise in the remake of “War of the Worlds.”

Cruise became enraged after learning about a seemingly innocuous conversation between Spielberg and fellow director Paul Haggis during shooting on the movie.

“I’ve met all these Scientologists, and they seem like the nicest people,” Spielberg commented.

“Yeah, we keep all the evil ones in the closet,” joked Haggis — who abandoned Scientology in 2009 and became one of its most public critics.

Haggis claimed he was summoned by church management for a tongue-lashing over the remarks, followed by orders to write an immediate note of contrition to Cruise.

The Academy Award-winning screenwriter’s first draft was deemed lacking, with Haggis then penning an even-sorrier “I’m sorry” letter to Cruise.

A Spielberg publicist said the director doesn’t recall the brief exchange with Haggis, and Cruise’s lawyer said the actor does not remember the incident.

But Haggis — who also agreed to explain to Spielberg that he was joking — was stunned by the overreaction to the whole thing.

“It was a joke,” he said.

Ah, yes – Tom Cruise’s first wife, actress Mimi Rogers – the woman who actually introduced him to Scientology. Mimi and Rogers were married in 1987 and ended up divorcing in 1990, which is when he met his second wife, Kidman. Coincidence? Possibly. While Mimi was still a successful actress following their divorce, she never hit the fame that Kidman or Holmes had.

If you’ve never heard this one before, you’re in for quite a shock. Back in 2008, the famous Cher revealed that in 1986, both she and Cruise actually had a fling, despite their 16-year age difference. Cruise seemed to always find himself attracted to older women in his younger years, so this shouldn’t be TOO shocking.

One of Cruise’s break out movies was the 1983 film Risky Business, and that was partly because of the chemistry he had with on-screen love interest, Rebecca De Mornay. Before he settled down with third wife Katie Holmes, it was reported that the Church of Scientology actually assisted in helping Cruise find a “suitable” woman to marry. So…they held auditions. It was said that Scarlett Johansson was approached numerous times, but she refused to go out on a date with him. Probably best since it sounds creepy.

9 Staying away: Jennifer Garner

After Cruise’s split with the other Cruz, it was reported that Cruise then went after Alias star Jennifer Garner and started leaving her really strange voicemails (one was just him asking her “Do you know what true freedom is?”) and he even sent her a, get this, ACTUAL BENGAL TIGER. It didn’t work because Garner was into Ben Affleck at the time.

8 Staying away: Jessica Alba

In the middle of attempting to pursue Jennifer Garner, apparently, Cruise also went after actress Jessica Alba. It was revealed in Lawrence Wright’s book Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief that Cruise attempted to bait Alba to date him because the church approved of her. She said later on that she wouldn’t date another actor to “boost” her career.

7 Staying away: Lindsay Lohan

You have to have some serious guts when you’re able to turn down an “audition” to be Tom Cruise’s next girlfriend even if your career with on the rocks. Though, at the time, when it was said that Cruise reached out to Lindsay Lohan, she was only at the start of her behind the scenes struggles. But still, you’ve got to hand it to Lohan.

6 Staying away: Erika Christensen

Before Holmes stepped into the picture, the Church of Scientology thought it would be way easier to find a suitable partner within the church itself, so Cruise reached out to actress and fellow Scientologist Erika Christensen ( Traffic) . Apparently though, like the rest of his “girlfriend” auditions, this pairing didn’t work out either.

5 Staying away: Kate Bosworth

Before the Church told him it would be easier to find a girl on the INSIDE of Scientology, Cruise reached out to actress Kate Bosworth when he couldn’t make a connection with Lindsay Lohan. At the time of the reach out, Bosworth’s star was on the rise and while it would have probably helped her career at the time, it was a no from her.

4 Staying away: Nazanin Boniadi

You may remember her from How I Met Your Mother or other of her numerous works, but it was said that fellow Scientologist Nazanin Boniadi was actually in a relationship when Cruise reached out to her. The church “ordered” her to dump her boyfriend and dye her hair, among other demands. She didn’t end up making the cut, though.

3 Staying away: Yolanda Pecoraro

When she was “set up” with Tom Cruise, actress Yolanda Pecoraro was struggling in her career. She had only some minor parts in mediocre shows and romantic comedies. She thought it would help her career at the time, but when they were matched, the age difference was too much (she was 19 and he was 42).

2 Staying away: Anette Johanson

When Tom Cruise was already seeing Katie Holmes, it was reported that a Danish woman named Anette Johanson was “auditioned” to be his girlfriend. “They probably wanted to have some backup plan,” Anette told In Touch magazine. The Church of Scientology tried to shut down the allegations, but the word was already out there.

1 Staying away: Cathy Schenkelberg

Back in 2003, a woman named Cathy Schenkelberg was reportedly brought in for a “mock audition for a supposed educational video about Scientology”. When the cameraman asked her about what she thought of Cruise, she called him a “narcissist” and said she didn’t like him. She was promptly removed from the area.

Tom Cruise is off the market with the actor reportedly now dating Russian-British model, Elsina Khayrova.

Cruise was spotted with Khayrova at a party in London’s Grosvenor Square, where they “spent most of the night dancing”, before the twosome were seen leaving together in the early hours. 

“They were inseparable — clearly a couple,” a guest at the event told the Daily Mail .  “He seemed to be besotted with her.”

The 36-year-old is 25 years younger than the Hollywood actor , and her father is Russian MP Rinat Khayrova, who is a political ally of Vladimir Putin. So there's that! 

This is Cruise's first public relationship since his divorce from his third wife, Katie Holmes , in 2012.

Scarlett "Definitely Not AI" Johansson

Speaking of exes, we need to talk about Elsina's Russian mogul ex-husband and diamond tycoon, Dmitry Tsvetkov, who the model divorced in 2020. 

The Russian oligarch gave an interview with the Daily Mail to warn Cruise about his ex-wife. 

“Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious tastes,” Tsetkov said.

“Tom should keep his eyes and wallet wide open.”

Dmitry said he hasn't spoken to his ex-wife about her new rumoured romance, as their “preferred method of communication” was through their attorney. 

But it wasn't all negative, Tsetkov added that he is “happy for her”, but also mentioned she was “never been a big Tom Cruise fan, but I’m sure that’s all changed now.”

This man is so messy. 

The tycoon also claims the three-year divorce cost him nearly $298 million and led to him selling off his assets to pay her. 

The couple split after over a decade of marriage and welcoming two children together.

Despite Dimtry's warnings, it's not like dating Cruise is a walk in the park either. 

Cruise has long been a prominent member of the divisive Church of Scientology. The actor has been embroiled in various controversies over the years about the church's controversial methods and mantras, including the time he scolded Brooke Shields for taking antidepressants to treat postpartum depression. 

The kids he adopted with his second wife, Nicole Kidman, Isabella and Connor Cruise, have also seemingly turned their backs on their mother since joining the church. 

Prior to the Elsina reports, the Jerry Maguire star was rumoured to be dating his  Mission Impossible co-star, Hayley Atwell.

The actress has since slammed the rumours as “weird", “upsetting” and “invasive”, telling The Independent that “It’s not what I’m about," she said. 

"Why are things being assumed or projected onto me about my relationship with my work colleague and boss?”

Tsvetkov even offered advice to the Top Gun star, “Irrespective of whoever she’s with, Tom Cruise or anybody else, they should be aware that she likes the finer things in life and has expensive and luxurious taste. His chatterbox is reportedly what brought it to an end. A source told Page Six that Cruise’s team was concerned, as he is incredibly private. “He’s filming and can’t be shooting and have her husband saying stuff every time he is mentioned in the press,” a source told the outlet. “They just didn’t want to deal with the ex-husband coming up with something nasty to say every few weeks.”

Things were getting pretty serious between Tom and Khayrova, with The Sun reporting that he recently met her kids. The “Top Gun” star ended the relationship just days later.

At the time, a source told the outlet, Their relationship just “ran its course” and there are no “hard feelings.” They noted that Cruise even wants them to remain friends since they live in the same apartment block in London. “To end things on a bad note would have been awkward if they’d bumped into each other in the lift,” the insider said at the time.

Jessica Alba is bidding farewell to her role at The Honest Company. 

On Tuesday, the mom of three and co-founder, who launched The Honest Company in 2012, announced her exit from her role as Chief Creative Officer in a statement shared on social media . 

"It is with a grateful heart that twelve years after founding The Honest Company, I am stepping down from my leadership role as Chief Creative Officer. However, I will continue to provide strategic advice through my role on the board," she wrote. "While there would never have been an easy time to make this decision, I know we have a leadership team in place with Carla Vernón at the helm to advance our founding vision and strengthen Honest’s legacy as an industry change-maker."

However, it marks the end of an era for Alba, who has been the public face of the brand since its inception.    "Building Honest has been a true labor of love. From the first concept book I pitched to my friends in Mommy and Me class, to ringing the bell at Nasdaq with my family by my side - this journey has been the ride of a lifetime, one that only existed in my wildest dreams," she wrote. 

The 42-year-old star, who rose to fame in Hollywood with roles in  Honey ,  Fantastic Four , and  Sin City , did not disclose the reason for her stepping down, but praised employees and customers alike for what they've done for the company, which was reportedly valued at more than $1 billion back in 2015. 

"To the entire Honest team, past and present, your unwavering commitment to our mission is the fuel that keeps us going. Everyone always says you're only as good as the people you surround yourself with - thank you for allowing me to be the best version of myself," she shared. "And of course to our Honest families, I'm forever grateful. Reading your stories and testimonials, seeing pictures of your baby showers, monthly milestones, AM/PM routines, and everything in-between - please never stop sharing these moments with us. You are the reason we exist."   Concluded Alba, "Thank you for showing me that a girl with an unconventional path in business could help lead a movement for good."

A press release issued on Tuesday stated in part, "With this growth vision in place and a strengthened business model, the company’s Founder Jessica Alba has determined that now is the right time to depart from her role as Chief Creative Officer, allowing her to shift her creative energy to new endeavors. She continues to provide her support and leadership as a member of Honest's board of directors."

Vernón, CEO of the company, called Alba a "true visionary" in a statement. "I offer our deep appreciation on behalf of the management team, our board of directors and generations of Honest employees for Jessica's leadership through the years," part of her statement read. "I am pleased Jessica will remain an advisor in her role as a member of our board of directors. And, as she shifts her focus to exciting new ventures, we will be cheering her on."

Fellow stars chimed in with comments congratulating Alba on what she's accomplished over the last 12 years. "You changed the game," Olivia Munn commented. "Incredibly proud of you and remain in awe of what you've created."

Meanwhile, her husband of nearly 16 years, Cash Warren , left a straightforward message for his longtime other half: five red heart emojis, perhaps a symbol of the five members of their family, including daughters Honor and Haven, and son Hayes.

Tom Cruise and his girlfriend, Elsina Khayrova , have called it quits on their relationship. The couple broke up just a few months after they were first spotted out together in December 2023.

“They weren’t gelling and realized they weren’t romantically compatible,” a source told Us Weekly on Wednesday, March 27, of their split.

The Russian socialite was reportedly the one who ended their relationship, however, they’re still on good terms.

“There’s no bad blood between them,” the source told the outlet. “They just had different ideas of what their relationship was going to be.”

Tom, 61, has been married three times. The Mission Impossible star was married to his first wife, Mimi Rogers , from 1987 to 1990. From 1990 to 2001, Tom was married to Nicole Kidman . He and his third wife, Katie Holmes , were married from 2006 to 2012. Despite his marriages not working out, he didn’t close his heart off to finding love again.

Elsina, 36, was previously married to Dmitry Tsvetkov . It seemed like the Top Gun actor was head over heels for the former model.

“He fell for her hard and the romance was going along smoothly,” a source told In Touch earlier this month. “They knew everything about each other. She knew all about his past, and he was fascinated with learning everything he could about her.”

While Tom remained rather private about the relationship in the public eye, he wasted no time getting serious with Elsina.

“Tom was in love with Elsina, and when he’s in love he moves fast,” the insider added. “Then he did what he always does when he finds a woman he loves, he asked her to marry him.”

In the end, she ultimately wasn’t ready to walk down the aisle with the actor just yet.

“She sat Tom down and told him she couldn’t go through with it. She explained that she had gotten caught up in the moment, but she needed a break. He was shocked that she changed her mind,” the source continued. “She broke his heart.”

The former couple first met through mutual friends. They were seen cozying up for the first time in December 2023 at a party in London’s Grosvenor Square.

“Tom is going into 2024 totally energized, excited and feeling healthier and happier than he has in years,” an insider told Us Weekly during the early stages of their relationship. “This is a very special time for him, and having a serious relationship in his life that he can build on is the icing on the cake.”

After Tom Cruise blindsided his pregnant wife Nicole Kidman with divorce papers in 2001 ( she later lost the baby ), the actor was looking to cast a new leading lady—and quickly.

“They had to look outside the herd, so to speak. They went for Jennifer Garner , Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Alba , in that order. Jennifer and Jessica didn’t bite, but Scarlett took the bait and came in for an audition. When she arrived at the address and found out it was the Scientology center in Hollywood, she freaked out and didn’t do a tape.”

Finally, the Scientology casting crew hit on Katie Holmes, then 26, after they read an interview in which she said she would like to marry Tom. A senior Scientologist was sent to New York to give her the once-over. He liked what he saw.

And the former "Dawson's Creek" star, who had just broken up with her fiancé Chris Klein six weeks earlier, was smitten with her childhood crush.

“I was in love from the moment I shook his hand,” Holmes later gushed in her first post-marriage interview with Harper’s Bazaar .

But one couch jump, one daughter, and five years later, it looks like it's time for Cruise to start the audition process once again.

Jessica Alba and her ambitious quest to be the next Tom Cruise

Actress Jessica Alba had a tough childhood, wearing hand-me-down clothes, living in a rough area of Los Angeles, and suffering serious health problems.

Now she is an international film star, regularly topping those "sexiest woman in the world" polls.

But this is just the beginning for a young woman who has her sights set on even greater things.

Jessica Alba is only 26, but she has an air of self-possession and maturity that belies her age.

Unusually cool and composed, she sits on a sofa in her Beverly Hills hotel suite, sipping a latte.

Slim, but not skinny, she has just eaten a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast and is clearly baffled by the size zero debate.

"My happiness isn't dictated by what other people want or how they see me. I don’t feel I have to conform," she says.

"I have always been a leader, not a follower. I don’t diet and I cook. I made chicken with basil, truffle oil and stewed tomatoes for dinner last night, and it was good," she smiles.

"I love brownies and I probably drink too much coffee, but other than that I really don’t have any unhealthy attitudes towards food."

Opinionated and articulate, you can see exactly why the actress has become a member of the elite group of young actresses (including Scarlett Johansson and Kirsten Dunst) who command $5m pay cheques.

Wearing a loose red dress over black leggings and high wedge sandals, she is exotic and captivating: Smooth caramel skin, brown eyes honey blonde hair.

But what distinguishes her from many of her Hollywood contemporaries is a presence that can only be described as regal, which is fascinating, because the actress grew up in a rough Los Angeles suburb.

Still happily married, her Mexican father Mark and Danish/French mother Cathy married while they were still in their teens and had two children in quick succession – Jessica has a younger brother Joshua.

"My dad made $14,000 a year working in the air force; he now works as an estate agent. My mum worked at a youth centre, a clothing store and at McDonald's.

"For a long time we lived on air force bases in government housing, then when I was nine we moved to Los Angeles into my grandparents house.

"Financially, we were poor, we wore thrift shop clothes and buying school clothes was the big expense for the year; we were always on a budget."

Jessica says her parents made sure that the children knew that there were plenty of families worse off than they were.

"My dad would drive us down to Mexico and say, 'I’ll show you what real poverty is,' and we would see that our life wasn’t that bad.

"I wasn’t a kid trying to sell gum on the side of the road. My parents did their best, but it was definitely tough. I'm really happy that I don’t live like that any more," she says quietly.

It is unlikely that she will have to return to those stressful times. Her latest film is the summer blockbuster, Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer.

She plays Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman) in the sequel to the popular 2005 hit, based on the Marvel comic books. The first film turned Jessica into an international star.

Jessica claims that from an early age, she had an uncanny feeling that she was destined for greater things.

"I always felt like I was born into the wrong family – I didn’t feel I belonged and I felt that I should have been royal, and nobody knew that except me," smiles Jessica.

"I knew I would have to get out of that environment and make a lot of money, so I created that for myself at a young age as an actress.

"I was performing for the family by the time I was three. I loved dancing, singing and acting, creating little plays.

"I would use my cousins as supporting characters in my stories," she says, "or I’d get them to be my back-up dancers in my music videos."

By the time she was 11, Jessica was pleading with her parents to pay for acting classes and finally persuaded them to let her enter a drama competition - the winner would get an agent and a series of auditions.

"I won the grand prize, came to Beverly Hills, started getting work and never really stopped," she says with a shrug, making the whole thing sound completely effortless.

She attended auditions, despite the reservations of her father. "He’d say, 'This is a nice hobby but you’re going to have to go to college and get a real job,'" says Jessica.

However, she was soon landing lucrative acting jobs, including a regular role on TV series Flipper, which entailed months living in Australia. Jessica had no qualms about leaving Los Angeles because she hated school.

"I had nothing in common with the other girls, they were into being the cutest or the most popular and my idea of what I wanted out of life was very different.

"I wasn’t into clothes or boys. I was worried about making money and getting the next job and being professional."

There was also an overriding feeling that she was an outsider, because of her mixed heritage. "Everything was very segregated," she says.

"White girls hung out in a group, there was another group of Hispanic girls, black girls had their own group. I was shunned by the Latin community for not being Latin enough, which is why I liked acting so much and wanted to find my own path."

Working solidly to achieve her goals meant formidable dedication. "I was on location working in lots of different countries.

"It really taught me discipline. I was incredibly driven. And I don’t think you can be successful in the entertainment business without being driven - it’s so brutal."

What makes Jessica’s early success extraordinary is that she suffered from serious health problems, related to childhood asthma, including collapsed lungs and repeated bouts of pneumonia, which meant she spent weeks at a time in hospital.

"I had a lot of time in bed to figure out what made me happy and I learned how to talk to adults and really communicate, which I didn’t mind because I didn’t have much in common with people my own age.

"I grew out of the asthma, so I can’t complain. Everything is for a reason and I believe in fate," says Jessica who was raised Catholic and still considers herself to be a "spiritual" person.

"Sometimes you have to learn lessons over and over again; karma’s a bitch. You’re meant to go through hard things in life to evolve."

Jessica’s career reached a new level when she was just 17 and Titanic director James Cameron picked her out of thousands of beautiful young hopefuls, to star in his sci-fi TV series, Dark Angel.

"My dad came on the set and I think he realised that acting could be a real career and he was proud of me."

The show only survived two seasons, but Jessica had nothing to worry about. She made a seamless transition into films with a supporting role in Never Been Kissed with Drew Barrymore.

She played a stripper in Sin City, starred in the underwater thriller Into The Blue and was cast as the sexy superhero in The Fantastic Four.

Because of the unexpected success of the first film, which grossed $330 million worldwide, along with Jessica’s elevated standing in the Hollywood power structure, her part is much more interesting this time.

"In the last one I was just running in saying, 'Oh my God, something bad is happening let’s run.' In this film Sue is much softer with depth. It’s a richer role."

Wearing a blonde wig and a costume with muscular padding to magnify the character’s prowess, Sue Storm is set to save the world from catastrophe, along with the other three members of the comic book team: Chris Evans as Johnny Storm (The Human Torch), Michael Chiklis as Ben Grimm (The Thing) and the group’s leader, Ioan Gruffud as Reed Richards, (Mr. Fantastic).

Was there special physical training for the role? "Not really because a lot of the action is computer generated," she says.

"But I had to look good and I hate exercise," she laughs. "I get so bored, so I just do anything that keeps me from wanting to kill myself when I am in the gym – like listening to my music on level 100, so that I feel that my hearing is gone when I have finished."

Jessica is currently dating filmmaker Cash Warren, 28, whom she met on the set of the first Fantastic Four, where he was an assistant director.

She refuses to discuss the relationship, or reports that they are about to get engaged, but does tell me that she loves "funny guys. I like the manly guy who can be romantic, but who’s in touch with his feelings and can also watch sport and hang out with my dad."

What about settling down and starting a family? "No," she says firmly, "Maybe in a few years.

"Right now, anyone in a relationship with me has to learn the hard way that I’m just not going to be around all the time."

Apart from a busy film schedule, Jessica recently signed a $5m dollar modelling contract with Revlon.

"I still can’t believe it," she smiles. "It’s an iconic company. My mother is very girly and loves makeup, so she is thrilled and pretty proud."

Meanwhile, Jessica constantly leads the polls in men’s magazines, as the world’s sexiest star. Isn’t it flattering? I ask.

"Well it is all so bizarre to me because when I was young, no one ever asked me out on a date, I was nobody’s 'type' so this is very weird. But, yes, it is flattering."

The quality of roles is definitely changing, though. She’s still offered the predictable male fantasy/stripper scripts, but also more substantial parts.

She’s appearing in her first comedy, Good Luck Chuck. "I’m the one people make fun of, which is much more interesting."

She has a new medical thriller out in a few months, Awake. "It’s great because I look normal," she smiles. "I’m not fighting anyone and I’m so happy that I don’t have to wear a bathing suit." She’s also starring in Sin City 2.

What strikes me about the actress above all, is her single-minded determination – that never seems to waver.

She tells me she does take time off. An ideal day would involve a long hike with her bulldog Bowie and pug Sid Vicious, lunch with a girlfriend and a few hours curled up with a novel.

"I like to get lost in someone else’s reality." But her own reality, which essentially boils down to her film career, appears to be the overriding concern.

Jessica is also forging a path for women in another way – as a producer, an arena that has largely excluded women in the past.

If you ask Jessica who her role models are, don’t expect the usual answer: Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

"Tom Cruise and Will Smith," comes the answer, without missing a beat, "because they really understand a brand and go for it.

"By 'brand' I mean the ability to open movies worldwide and dictate what you want out of that entire experience and that is yet to be done by women."

If the actress’s story so far is anything to go by - that state of affairs is about to change.

While she will inevitably continue to top those sexiest star polls, expect to see the name Jessica Alba turning up in business and financial magazines too - on the list of Hollywood’s wealthiest and most powerful players. Now that would really make her happy.

Jessica Alba Says 'Hard Times' in Marriage Aren't 'Permanent': 'You Can Find Your Way Back to Each Other'

"When it comes down to it, I wouldn't wanna be with anybody else," the actress said

Jessica Alba is keeping it real about the ups and downs of marriage.

During an interview on SiriusXM's The Morning Mash Up Wednesday, June 5, the actress and Honest Company founder explained, "In love, you go through that [first] two and a half years, which is not real. And then after that, the reality of what your relationship is comes together."

"And you are either gonna choose to be family or not," added Alba, 43, who has been married to husband Cash Warren for 16 years. "And I think, with chosen family, you ebb and flow."

"The more you ebb and flow, the more you realize that the hard times aren't gonna be ... it's not gonna be permanent. Like, you can find your way back to each other," she said.

Alba and Warren recently celebrated 20 years together and 16 years of marriage . They share three children: daughters Honor , 16, and Haven , 12, plus son Hayes , 6.

But, Alba recalled on The Morning Mash Up , "[During] those early days, it feels like, 'We're never gonna find our way back to each other.' But we keep choosing to figure it out."

"It's messy and it's hard and it's humbling and all of that. But if you can figure out how to just find your way back to each other, it ends up being worth it," she said.

She also praised her longtime love, 45, "There's something about that ride-or-die that's seen you through so many phases of yourself, and your evolution. There's something so cool about that history."

"He's really great and I think for me, I always was like, 'I like myself better when he's in my life,' " said the Trigger Warning actress. "When it comes down to it, I wouldn't wanna be with anybody else."

Both Alba and Warren have been open about the ebbs and flows, including last August, when Warren appeared on the Whine Down with Jana Kramer  podcast and recalled that he and Alba briefly "broke up four years into our relationship" over issues of jealousy.

The film producer and  Pair of Thieves  co-founder went on to say that during the period of time he and Alba were separated, he promised himself to find "a more productive way" to channel that energy if they resumed their relationship.

As Warren defined what has kept his romance with Alba alive for two decades, he noted that he has learned to have patience for the fact that "your energy starts to get back aligned" after rocky moments in long-term relationships .

"Going through a few of those cycles, I no longer get as nervous and kind of start looking at the door. I no longer get as nervous when you’re drifting apart, so to speak, or your energy is off," he explained.

"I think she’s felt very much aligned there," Warren added. "When we’re going through those times, we either give each other our space that we need, we talk it out, we maybe go on a date night . You try to do things to get it back, and fortunately I’ve got a partner who is right there lock and step.”

According to the insider: “It’s well known within Elsina’s circle that she and Tom are now an item.”

“They’ve grown very close over the past few weeks,” the source went on to detail.

“But,” the insider added, Tom and Elsina “take a lot of care not to be photographed together.”

The source explained that the pair implement these precautions “because they want to maintain their privacy.”

But Tom Cruise and Elsina are exhibiting boyfriend/girlfriend behavior

“Tom has been staying the night at Elsina’s apartment,” the insider dished.

The source went on to describe: “which as you can imagine, is a very beautiful place.” Her Knightsbridge home costs millions of dollars, so one would imagine so.

“They enjoy hanging out together” the insider described, “and despite their wealth, do a lot of the things that normal couples do.”

As we reported recently, Tom Cruise and Prince William hung out at London’s Air Ambulance Charity. William is the organization’s patron, and has been stepping in while King Charles undergoes cancer treatments.

The polarizing actor and the Russian socialite arrived separately, but both attended the event.

According to the report, the two spend most of their time together — rather than falling all over each other in front of prying eyes.

According to inside sources, the two will go out on walks through Hyde Park.

They do this while incognito. If you wonder how someone as famous as Tom Cruise could go unrecognized, remember how much sunglasses and a new hairstyle can obscure key features.

The two have also enjoyed private dining at high end restaurants around London, reports add.

Late last year, people first speculated that they were an item. The two were allegedly looking very familiar with each other (I believe that I saw the word “canoodling” thrown around) at a party in London’s upscale Mayfair neighborhood.

According to eyewitnesses, the two seemed to be “clearly a couple” with the actor head over heels for Elsina.

Taylor Swift  is looking out for her fans.

While performing an Eras tour concert at Scottish Gas Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh, Scotland June 7, the Grammy winner stopped performing her Midnights  album track "Would've Could've Should've" to help an audience member who appeared to be in distress. She did however, continue to sing and play her guitar while asking for assistance.

"We need help right in front of me, please, right in front of me," the 34-year-old sang to the more than 70,000 fans, as seen in a video shared by one of them. "Gonna keep playing until we notice where it is. Right there. I'm just gonna keep playing 'til somebody helps them, then I'm gonna keep singing the song."

Swift continued, "I don't think anybody's gotten to them yet, and they're gonna. Because we're not gonna keep singing, we're just gonna keep talking about the people that need help in front of me. Just let me know when. I can do this all night."

She then said, "OK, you're good? Awesome!" before performing the rest of "Would've Could've Should've."

About a minute later, Swift paused mid-song again and expressed distress herself. "My hand is frozen in a weird cramp" she said. "This is so embarrassing."

The singer has paused past concerts to help fans in distress, including May 24 in Lisbon, Portugal.

Swift is set to perform two more shows in Edinburgh before heading to Liverpool for three shows, starting June 13, to continue the European leg of her tour.
