EXO Announces U.S. Concert Dates

EXO will head to the greater Los Angeles and New York City areas for two stops in the US as part of their EXO PLANET #3 -The EXO'rdium tour.

EXO joins the growing number of K-pop acts making their way to the United States in upcoming months with the news of three North American concert stops in April.

The group will make bring their EXO PLANET #3 -The EXO’rdium concert series to cities on both the east and west coasts, as well as a previously announced stop in Mexico. EXO previously toured the U.S. last year, with stops in four cities around the country.

On Thursday, concert promoter MyMusicTaste announced concerts in New Jersey and California in response to demand from EXO’s fans. The North American leg of their tour will begin April 25 at the Prudential Center in Newark then take the boy band to a previously announced stop in Mexico City on April 27. The North American leg of The EXO’rdium tour will end at Los Angeles’ The Forum on April 28.

With a fervent fanbase, EXO is one of K-pop’s most popular boy bands thanks to their sleek dance pop songs and their multifaceted bandmembers, many of whom simultaneously pursue solo careers as singers, actors and variety show personalities. The group has moved an enormous amount of albums since their debut in 2012, and has seen more than 10 singles appear in the top five spots of the World Digital Songs Sales chart.

EXO first debuted on the Billboard 200 chart in 2014 with their Overdose EP (No. 129), while their 2015 EXODUS album broke the record for the biggest sales week ever for a K-pop act at the time, beating 2NE1’s 2014 record with Crush . BTS currently holds the title, after breaking EXO’s record last year with the release of their Wings album.

EXO’rdium is EXO’s second world tour, as the follow-up to last year’s EXO’luxion tour. Since then, EXO released their EX’ACT studio album and their winter-oriented  For Life EP, as well as the single “Dancing King,” a collaboration with the popular Korean comedian Yoo Jae Suk. The band premiered EXO-CBX, a subunit featuring members Chen, Baekhyun, and Xiumin, in October with the release of their World Albums chart-topping Hey Mama! EP.

EXO's Suho ‘Su:Home' 2024 solo tour - New dates, venues, & all we know so far

E XO-singer Suho is extending his ongoing Su:Home 2024 tour with eleven new dates across Asia and the United Arab Emirates. The concerts for the newly announced dates begin on June 22 in Manila, Philippines, and end on October 12 in Nagoya, Japan.

The Yeongdeungpo-born singer has been touring in support of his latest solo mini-album, 1 to 3 , which was released last week on May 31. He kicked off his first solo world tour on May 25 at Seoul's Olympic Hall, with a second concert the following day.

For now, Suho is on a short break and will pick up the Su:Home 2024 solo tour on June 22 with the concert at Manilla's Araneta Coliseum. He will continue touring through Asia in July and perform at Taipei Music Center, Bangkok's Paragon Hall, and Kuala Lumpur's Mega Star Arena.

The EXO singer will head to Jakarta on August 10 for a one-off solo concert at the Tennis Indoor Senayan. He will then head to Dubai on September 20 and perform at The Agenda (venue). After wrapping up the UAE show, Suho will return to Asia on September 27 for two back-to-back concerts at Tokyo's Tachikawa Stage Garden.

The Bear Hug singer has yet to reveal details about the presale or general sale of tickets for the upcoming tour dates. However, fans can follow his official account @weareoneEXO on X to be first informed about the ticket availability.

The newly announced dates of Suho's Su:Home tour include concerts at:

• June 22 - Araneta Coliseum, Manila, Philippines
• July 6 - AsiaWorld-Expo Hall 10, Hong Kong, China
• July 13 - Taipei Music Center, Taiwan
• July 20 - Paragon Hall, Bangkok, Thailand
• July 28 - Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
• August 10 - Tennis Indoor Senayan, Jakarta, Indonesia
• September 20 - The Agenda, Dubai, United Arab Emirates
• September 27 & 28 - Tachikawa Stage Garden, Tokyo, Japan
• October 11 - Fenice Sacay, Osaka, Japan
• October 12 - Nittera Hall Forest Hall, Nagoya, Japan

EXO's Suho will be on another short break between late September and early October before he picks up the tour on October 11 at Osaka's Fenice Sacay. If there are no changes, he will wrap up the Su:Home tour the next day with the final performance at the Nittera Hall Forest Hall in Nagoya.

Apart from the new dates, fans can also watch the singer live on five previously announced dates in Europe. The European concerts begin in early September and cover London's Indigo (O2 Arena), L'Olympia in Paris, and Mitsubishi Electric Halle in Düsseldorf. The singer will also take over the stage at the Columbiahalle in Berlin and Stodola Club in Warsaw in mid-September.

As of this writing, Suho has not hinted at the names of guest artists supporting him on the newly announced tour dates. The EXO singer, however, was joined by guest artists, Younha and Giriboy, as he kicked off the solo tour in Seoul last month.

While they did not take the stage, EXO members Kai, Baekhyun, Chanyeol, and Sehun attended the May 26 concert at Seoul's Olympic Hall.

Suho's third solo studio album, 1 to 3 , was preceded by the release of the lead single , Cheese, on May 20. The single, featuring Wendy, has surpassed over 700k views on YouTube.

Releasing over a week later, the album comprised six more tracks - Mayday, 1 to 3, Wishful Thinking, Moonlight, Alright Alright, and Zero Gravity. The mini-album is available to stream on all music platforms.

It was a great show, but I wish I had gotten a seat instead of pit tickets, because people don't know how to behave and not push and be orderly. EXO World Tour 2023: Here's What We Know About Group's Much-Awaited Comeback

Are EXO-Ls' wallets prepared for EXO's much-anticipated return this 2023? According to reports, the group will not only release an album but will also embark on a WORLD TOUR!

EXO World Tour 2023 Date Revealed

On January 9, Hi Investment & Securities unveiled SM Entertainment's Q12023 calendar containing the prospective comebacks and releases of SM artists.

In the said report, the January comeback of GOT the beat and NCT 127 were confirmed. It also mentioned the comeback of SuperM, aespa and EXO in the first half of 2023.

Along with them, NCT Tokyo, will also finally debut in 1H, followed by a non-NCT boy group and NCT Hollywood in the 2nd half of the year.

Among the fandoms who celebrated following this news were EXO-Ls, supporters of EXO, who have been waiting for the group's comeback for about 2 years since they dropped their last release, "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING" in June 2021. At the time, they weren't able to make a release with the complete group due to members' military enlistment.

Delighting EXO-Ls and BBH-Ls, Baekhyun will end his military service in February, giving the members opportunity to have a full OT8 /OT9 (with Lay) before maknae-line Kai and Sehun are called for military enlistment.

Based on the news, SuperM, where Baekhyun and Kai belong, will make a comeback first before EXO after SHINee Taemin gets discharged in April.

Surprisingly, it seems like this year is EXO and Eris' year because aside from a full comeback, another source teased that the group is also heralding an "EXO World Tour 2023."

The calendar states that it will happen in June, the same time the album is possibly scheduled to be released.

According to insiders, the nine-member group will have multiple tour arcs including an Asian tour, a European tour, a US tour and special tour leg in Japan.

Twitter Error

SM Entertainment is yet to release official details about EXO's comeback and world tour.

Leader Suho Confirms EXO Comeback 2023

While SM Entertainment is yet to make an announcement about EXO's return to the music scene this year, Suho, the team's leader, was the first one to declare the comeback notice, raising expectations from the whole K-pop industry.

With Baekhyun, currently serving the military, is set to be discharged on February 5. This means he can potentially join EXO's first release since their special album, "DON'T FIGHT THE FEELING" in 2021, as full group.

EXO, considered a representative group of the third generation, is already receiving an enthusiastic response after amassing huge fanbases both at home and abroad by their numerous hit songs "Growl," "Overdose," "Call Me Baby," "Love Shot," "Monster," "Kokobop," and more.

Attention is focused on how their return will change the K-pop scene once again, as they not only swept various award awards and won Daesangs for four consecutive years, but also had a huge influence around the world, including their entry into Tokyo Dome in Japan, a considered "holy land" venue that only top artists can step on.

For the past 30+ years, Richard Linklater has been one of the most adventurous filmmakers in the industry. He’s experimented with form with the Before… series and the 12-year-long filming of Boyhood . He’s used rotoscope to animate films like Waking Life , A Scanner Darkly , and Apollo 10 ½ . And the Austin-based director has clung to his independent style while occasionally throwing a bone to the Hollywood studios.

His latest is Hit Man , a semi-true story about college professor Gary Johnson (Glen Powell) who moonlights as a sound tech for New Orleans police sting operations. As the old story goes, when lead officer Jasper (Austin Amelio) is sidelined, the police ask Gary to step in as a fake hit man, the point person of a scheme designed to lure in people looking to kill someone close to them.

Turns out Gary is a natural at the gig, diving into research and wearing all sorts of costumes to make sure his meetings with potential hit man hirers are completely believable. His newfound abilities work like a charm until his meeting with Madison (Adria Arjona), who wants him to kill her husband. Instead of entrapping her, he convinces her to leave her husband instead, and Gary soon finds himself seeing Madison under his hit man persona of “Ron.”

Linklater and Powell - who co-wrote the screenplay that’s loosely based on a Texas Monthly article by Skip Hollandsworth - at first seem like they’re going to go the expected route with the story, one in which every beat can be predicted. But thanks to a mixture of clever storytelling and an extremely fun performance by Powell, the film keeps you on your toes almost the entire time.

The various hit man meetings - in which Gary dons all manner of different costumes, wigs, fake teeth, and accents - are highly entertaining, even if they start to get redundant after a while. The idea of a man who’s mild-mannered in his day job transforming at will into multiple other identities is almost the perfect movie idea, giving both the character and the actor lots of room to grow and change.

Gary/Ron’s relationship with Madison brings just the right edge to the film. You know Gary is playing with fire by pursuing it, but the bond between the two of them is so palpable that you want to see them take it wherever it goes. Linklater shows a deft touch here as well, keeping the danger that their relationship poses front of mind while still showing how sexy and intoxicating it is when they get together.

Powell, who has now worked with Linklater in four films, has been a star on the rise for a while, but his last three films – Top Gun: Maverick , Anyone But You , and this – have cemented that status. He plays all sides of this role extremely well, and has great chemistry with Arjona, who serves as much more than just the femme fatale. She matches Powell step-for-step in their scenes together, as does Amelio, a lesser-known actor making his second Linklater/Powell connection after Everybody Wants Some!! in 2016.

If we lived in another time, Hit Man might have become a surprise summer box office success. As it stands, though, it will join the many other films in the Netflix algorithm. Here’s hoping it doesn’t get buried in the churn; the quality of this latest Linklater film deserves more than that.

Hit Man is now playing in select theaters; it will debut on Netflix on June 7.

The Dallas Mavericks and the Boston Celtics play Game 1 of the NBA Finals Thursday night. Tip-off from TD Garden in Boston is at 8:30 p.m. ET (ABC). Below, we break down FanDuel Sportsbook’s   NBA Finals Game 1 prop bet odds and lines , and tab the 5 best Mavericks vs. Celtics prop bets to make among SportsbookWire’s expert NBA picks and predictions .

After a lengthy layoff since the conference finals, the Mavericks will play in their 1st NBA Finals since 2011 when they took home the Larry O’Brien Trophy for the only time in franchise history with Dirk Nowitzki leading the way against the Miami Heat. This is the Dallas’ 3rd NBA Finals trip as it lost to the Heat back in 2006.

The Boston Celtics are looking to break a tie with the Minneapolis/Los Angeles Lakers franchise for most NBA Championships. The C’s have 17, and would love to inch ahead in that rivalry.

Boston last appeared in the NBA Finals in 2022, falling in 6 games to the Golden State Warriors. Prior to that, the C’s fell to the Lakers in 7 games in 2010. Boston’s last title came in 2008 when Kevin Garnett and Ray Allen joined a Doc Rivers’ team that already had Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo.

Mavericks PG Luka Doncic UNDER 31.5 points (-115)

Doncic will make his 1st NBA Finals appearance. He has had a strong playoffs, rolling for 28.8 points (PPG), 9.6 rebounds (RPG), 8.8 assists (APG) and 1.6 steals (SPG) per game through 17 postseason contests.

His target score for points is a bit high in Game 1. Yes, he balled out against Minnesota in the Western Conference Finals, averaging 32.4 PPG in the 5 games, which was similar to his regular-season average of an NBA-best 33.9 PPG. However, facing the Celtics is a whole other animal.

During the regular season, Boston allowed just 109.2 PPG, which ranked 5th in the NBA, while limiting the opposition to just 45.3% from the field (2nd in the NBA), and 35.2% from behind the 3-point line (4th).

Doncic certainly isn’t going to lay an egg, but scoring more than 30 points against the Celtics is a bit ambitious. People will look to his 35.0 PPG average against Boston in 2 regular-season games to argue against going Under, but regular season and postseason are completely different. Those games weren’t on the world’s largest stage.

Doncic averaged 34.0 PPG in 2 regular-season games against OKC but was held to 24.7 PPG in 6 games against the Thunder in the Western semifinals. So, there’s that.

Celtics SF Jayson Tatum OVER 2.5 3-pointers (-136)

Tatum is a good bet to hit at least 3 triples in Game 1 as he enjoys a little bit of home cooking.

He is looking to avenge an NBA Finals loss in his 1st-career appearance in 2022. Tatum hit 20 3-pointers in the 6 games of that Finals. He has that experience to tap into and is the favorite to win the Finals MVP at -125; Doncic is 2nd at +210.

The Mavericks were just so-so during the regular season guarding against the 3, allowing teams to hit 36.8% from behind the arc, 18th in the NBA. Defensively, the Mavs allowed 115.6 PPG, and 47.5% shooting from the field, both ranking 20th.

Tatum sank 8 triples in the final 2 games of the sweep against Indiana in the East Finals, hitting at least 3 in each of those outings.

1st-quarter total points UNDER 55.5 (-122)

The O/U total for Game 1 is set at 215 (O: -110 | U: -110). While the Celtics were in the NBA Finals in 2022, again, there are just a few holdovers. Outside of SG Kyrie Irving , the Mavericks do not have a lot of experience in the Finals, either.

Look for these teams to slowly get their sea legs after a lengthy layoff, too. There will be butterflies. There will be rust. That’s a good recipe for a slow start, and a low score in the opening 12 minutes.

Mavericks SG Kyrie Irving to RECORD 4+ ASSISTS (-240)

This is not recommended as a standalone wager, as risking 2.4 times your potential wager provides very little in the way of value in hoping Irving gets at least 4 assists.

However, including this wager along with all of the other props is great for a Same-Game Parlay (SGP). Irving had at least 4 assists in all 5 games against the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Western Finals. Plus, he had 4 or more dimes in 14 of his 17 games this postseason, including in 8 of his past 9.

Mavericks SF Derrick Jones Jr. to RECORD 1+ STEALS (-105)

At near even-money, this is a solid play. It’s the kind of prop which can make or break an SGP, as it is a coin-flip, though.

However, Jones had 3 steals in the Minnesota series, and he has at least 1 theft in 5 of his past 9 postseason games. He averaged 33.0 minutes per game in the Western Conference Finals, and there is ample opportunity for his quick hands to get you on the board.

The NBA Finals are set to deliver plenty of excitement, but they will be over before you know it. Fill that void until Summer League and the fall return of hoops by taking a spin at some of the best slot sites in the US.

Here’s a recent NBA story from the AP:

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The Celtics are prohibitive favorites to win Thursday’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals and odds are on Boston to hoist what would be its record 18th championship banner.

But the money, at least at BetMGM Sportsbook , is pouring in on the Dallas Mavericks.

Senior trader Halvor Egeland said Monday that 80% of the bets were coming on Luka Doncic, Kyrie Irving and the Mavs to win their second NBA title. Boston is a -225 favorite to win it all, meaning someone would need to wager $225 to win $100.

As for the series opener, the Celtics are 6 1/2-point favorites, but 63% of the money has been on the Mavericks to cover the spread. Dallas is receiving 70% of the bets to win the game outright at +200.

“Pretty much, the public is just believing in the Mavericks,” Egeland said.

Despite that, the Celtics’ odds have remained consistently solid not only at BetMGM but other sportsbooks as well. Even though Egeland said professional bettors are largely sitting out this series because they don’t find much betting value, he said he didn’t expect the lines to be significantly affected.

“We feel it’s the correct betting line,” Egeland said. “If we were trading strictly off money, we would’ve moved it towards the Mavericks because it’s all Mavericks money. But we’re trying to get to a point where we’re at like an equilibrium — half the time (betting is) going to be on one side, half the time it’s going to go on the other. We’ve landed at 6 1/2 and that’s the strategy you take.”

Egeland said there’s a reason the Celtics are favored.

“The Celtics had an 82-game season and they’ve been the best team all year,” he said. “I know they haven’t had the toughest competition to get to the Finals, but like I said, they’ve had 82 games to prove themselves, and they’ve done nothing but show you that they’re that good of a team.”

THE PORZINGIS FACTOR

Part of the reason for the opening-game spread, Egeland said, is the expected return of Boston’s Kristaps Porzingis . He hasn’t played since straining his left calf in Game 4 of the opening round against the Miami Heat.

Porzingis not only would give the Celtics size if he is back, but the 7-footer is an effective 3-point shooter, creating a difficult matchup for the Mavs. He averaged 20.1 points and 7.2 rebounds during the regular season.

Egeland said if the Celtics have to sit Porzingis yet again, they likely would drop to 4 1/2- or 5-point favorites.

“The team’s been pretty good without him,” DraftKings sportsbook operations director Johnny Avello said. “So with him, it makes them even that much better. Will he be able to get back into the mix kind of quickly? I think so. This series could be a seven-game series, so any bodies you can get in there and contribute, they are welcome for both sides.”

RUST VS. REST

Both teams have received extended time off to prepare for this series after the Celtics swept the Indiana Pacers and the Mavericks eliminated the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games.

“I would say the Mavs had it a little bit harder than the Celts did, so maybe (the layoff) would affect the Celtics more since they didn’t get pushed much,” Avello said. “The Mavs’ 4-1 (series victory) wasn’t really reflective of how that series went, although you consider the Celtics, too. They could’ve lost an early game (to Indiana). It certainly would’ve changed the complexion of that series.”

Egeland said the extra prep time should especially benefit Porzingis, but also noted that Doncic has been playing on a gimpy knee and ankle.

Jayson Tatum is a -120 favorite to be the Finals MVP at BetMGM, but Doncic is close behind at +200. DraftKings has Doncic at -205 and Tatum at +280, nearly a complete flip from late last week.

“He’s taking more money,” Avello said of Doncic before the odds changed.

HOW LONG CAN IT GO?

The odds at BetMGM favor the series ending in anywhere between five and seven games, with the odds ranging from +200 to +225. A sweep is at +450.

DraftKings is even more bullish on a long series, posting the chances of it going six or seven games at -150 compared to +125 to be shorter.

‘Stranger Things,’ ‘Star Wars’ actors coming to Fan Expo Dallas this week

Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the three-day event..

Fan Expo Dallas returns this week, giving fans a chance to meet the people behind their favorite characters in movies, TV shows, comic books and more. The three-day event will feature numerous attractions, including panels and Q&A sessions, a cosplay contest and a retail floor with hundreds of vendors.

Among the actors coming to Dallas are Stranger Things stars Gaten Matarazzo and Caleb McLaughlin . They’ll be on stage Sunday morning to discuss their time on the show and will be available for photo-ops on Saturday and Sunday. Their appearance comes during filming for the show’s fifth and final season, which will likely land on Netflix late next year, according to Forbes .

From the Marvel universe, Spider-Man director Sam Raimi will be in attendance for a talk on Saturday at 11:45 a.m. He will also be available for photo-ops before the talk and on Sunday. Another Spider-Man star, Marisa Tomei , will be in attendance for a talk on Sunday and available for photos Saturday and Sunday.

Mads Mikkelsen , the Danish actor known for his villainous roles in movies such as Casino Royale and Doctor Strange , will take the stage with Hannibal co-star Hugh Dancy on Sunday afternoon and will be available for photos on Saturday and Sunday.

The longtime Captain Kirk actor William Shatner will be at a talk early Friday evening before photo availability later that day and on Saturday morning. Thelma & Louise leads Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon will take the stage Saturday afternoon to discuss the classic 1991 film and their careers in Hollywood.

Actors from Disney+’s Star Wars shows will also be at the convention. Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen from The Book of Boba Fett will appear in a panel on Saturday afternoon. The Mandalorian actors Giancarlo Esposito (also of Breaking Bad fame) and Emily Swallow will take the stage Sunday morning for a Star Wars panel along with Natasha Liu Bordizzo ( Ahsoka ) and Alan Tudyk ( Rogue One: A Star Wars Story ).

Other guests include voice actors from games such as The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Metal Gear Solid . Anime guests include voice actors from One Piece , Pokémon , Naruto , Jujutsu Kaisen , among other series.

Cosplayers from far and wide are expected to make their way to the convention to show off their costumes. The expo will include cosplay guest panels and workshops for visitors interested in improving their costumes. It will also host a qualifier for the Masters of Cosplay Grand Prix, with the “Best in Show” winner earning a $1,000 prize and a trip to the finals at Fan Expo Canada in August.

Fan Expo Dallas is the largest sci-fi, horror, anime and gaming convention in Texas, according to its website . It began in 2002 as the Dallas Comic Con and moved to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in downtown Dallas in 2014.
