Do tour bus in Italy have bathroom?
Most of the Italian tourist buses do have restrooms on board BUT they usually are locked. I am a tour director, and I have begged, pleaded and threatened my drivers (when in Rome) to finally have 1 out of 5 buses open up their restroom. I think they don't like to clean them, so they keep them locked.

It is designed for emergency use only (the smallest airplane toilet you have ever been in is palatial compared to the largest one I have seen on the buses) and you should plan on not using it. RS tour bus question
I've been on 3 RS tours, in Turkey, Greece and through the Alps from Austria to France. All 3 buses were full-size tour buses with toilets. No one ever needed to use one because of the frequent stops. Most European countries have laws that mandate bus drivers have a minimum 15 minute break every 2-2.5 hours and 30 minute lunch breaks.

They have had restrooms in the past (pre-covid), but tour members were often discouraged from using them by guides except in emergencies. The RS tour I took in 2022 had a bathroom on the bus. The bus makes a stop at least every two hours. It is more comfortable to use the bathrooms during rest stops than the TINY bathroom on the bus.

Not on any tour. I will never again go by tour bus on a ship tour. It's super lovely when they stop for a potty break (which you need) and 50 people get off to use the restroom in a place with one or two toilets. We spent a good share of our day in Florence and in Rome waiting on the people on the tour buses. No thanks.

Their buses were much more comfortable, which is their "claim to fame." The group is the same size (40 max), but their buses have the extra rows of seats removed and there's 6-8 inches of additional leg room between rows. Tauck is a higher-end tour company. Why to they use a lower end bus configuration?

However, it will depend on what tour it is and which bus they are using, so a bus with a toilet on board is not guaranteed. My experience on tours however is that they cater very well for toilet breaks.
