21 – Brooklyn: Bushwick Street Art Walking Tour

Brooklyn Bushwick Street Art Walking Tour

Rating: ⭐️ 4.7/5 ( 264 reviews )

“Great tour of Brooklyn street art. The guide was superb and introduced us to the origin of graffiti in this legendary district of New York. My teenage son loved doing this activity.” Kia, Getyourguide

While Manhattan sits in the spotlight, its East River neighbor flies under the radar. With world-class eateries, stunning waterfront views and a hipster art scene that’s as colorful as its street murals, Brooklyn deserves your daytime attention.

On this street art tour of Bushwick , you’ll uncover the secrets of what’s dubbed the “largest outdoor street art gallery” in NYC , checkout out graffiti (by Fumero, Giz, Dasic and Danielle Mastrion), colorful murals and thought-provoking installations that liven up the area.

You’ll get to meet a real graffiti artist as well, and the Wandering Barman coffee is the cherry on top.

If you like to venture off the beaten path and discover the cultural gems of a city, then this Bushwick street art tour is a great shout.

You’ll learn about the history of graffiti art in New York and don’t have to walk too much to do so! Audrey and the team are knowledgeable and enthusiastic with a sense of humor too. Affordable and worthwhile!

22 – New York City: The Ride Interactive Bus Tour

New York City The Ride Interactive Bus Tour

Rating: ⭐️ 4.3/5 ( 210 reviews )

“The Ride experience totally made our trip to NYC. The reviews and photos on line do not do it true justice. (…) I would recommend this to all ages and guarantee a great time. I would do it again tomorrow.” Clare, Getyourguide

Part city tour, part Broadway musical, and collectively a whole lot of fun!

Combining sightseeing with music and theater, The Ride is an interactive 75-minute bus tour that whisks you through the characteristic streets of Manhattan while entertaining and educating you with live performances .

Unlike typical bus tours, you actually face sideways , with the streets becoming the stage. That means one moment you’ll be serenaded in front of Grand Central, and the next you could be seeing a live ballet show at Bryant Park or a freestyle rap performance at Columbus Circle!

With 3 rows of stadium-style seats, unlike your typical Broadway theater, there’s no bad seat in the house on The Ride .

Embodying the essence of New York, The Ride is one of the best ways to experience the city’s deep-rooted musical theater culture. It combines the best of both worlds – Broadway talent and landmark sightseeing – to show off the city in a way you’ve never seen before.

It’s one of our top picks for NYC city tours!

23 – NYC: Speakeasy Drinks and Prohibition History Tour

NYC Speakeasy Drinks and Prohibition History Tour

Rating: ⭐️ 4.7/5 ( 297 reviews )

“The speakeasy tour was a highlight of our trip for sure! Our guide Jack was awesome and had great drink recommendations. The three bars we went to had great atmosphere and delicious drinks and weren’t places we would have found on our own. Highly recommend!” Brianne, Getyourguide

These days, NYC is chock-full of craft breweries and lavish cocktail bars. But it wasn’t always this way. In the 1920s, Prohibition forced New Yorkers to drink in hiding.

On this NiteTables Experiences walk down memory lane, you’ll travel back in time to experience the roaring ’20s , popping into 3 historical watering holes around Midtown Manhattan.

Unlike most pub crawls in New York City , this one’s heavily educational. Cocktails in hand, you’ll learn about infamous bootleggers, notorious gangsters and the women of the Gilded Age. Overall, not only is it one of the best New York City night tours , it’s one of the best NYC speakeasy tours , period.

The perfect combination of fun and educational, this thirst-quenching tour makes a point to venture away from the cliché tourist spots.

Since drinks aren’t included you have the freedom to order whatever libations take your fancy too. Thanks to Jack, Ariel and the guides being so welcoming and insightful, this tour is an excellent option.

24 – Dyker Heights Brooklyn Christmas Lights Tour

Dyker Heights Brooklyn Christmas Lights Tour

Rating: ⭐️ 4.5/5 ( 486 reviews )

“After Dyker Heights we got to stop at a great photo spot for the Brooklyn bridge perfect quick pit stop to get some photos before heading back. Highly recommend and would do it again!” Nicole, Viator

When the annual festive season rolls around, the Big Apple lights up like no other city. But there’s one quiet Brooklyn neighborhood that puts the rest to shame: Dyker Heights .

Sure to ignite the holiday cheer , the Tour America excursion whisks you to the most elaborately decorated streets in Dyker Heights and Bay Ridge, passing by hundreds of animatronic and inflatable toy soldiers, Santa Clauses, elves and reindeer.

But you’re not just stuck on the bus – on foot , you’ll wander through the neighborhood and get to witness the dazzling, often music-synced houses up close.

The view of the lit-up Brooklyn Bridge at tour’s end is the cherry on top of this Christmas lights tour .

A lovely way to embrace the holiday season magic, this tour shows off a typically unseen part of NYC. Luiz, Alan and the team make it fun, entertaining and insightful, and the lights – well, they’re on another level! We rate this as one of the best NYC Christmas tours.

1 review for DA NANG CITY TOUR FULL DAY- PRIVATE TOUR

Vincent Frank – 07/03/2020

I highly recommend this full day city tour of Da Nang. Because with this tour you can enjoy all the must visit sites in Da Nang with a very good tour guide. Our family from Canada and we enjoyed it very much. Guide spoke excellent English, the owner Mr Hoa supported us 24/7 even he gave us some good recommendations in Ha Noi as well. Lunch was nice and included in the tour. We would use their services again! Thank you for a great memory in central Vietnam.

Cebu City Tour

Cebu City Tour: 8 Destinations in 1 Day

Cebu City is known as the Queen City of the South in Cebu Island in the Philippines. This amazing place is my first destination for 2018 travels. I explored this highly urbanized city with my friends from High School. So exciting!

How to organize a city tour?

There are a few ways you can tour and explore the city. Here are few options you can choose:

  • City Tour Packages – There are sites or companies that offers city tour packages just like the cebucitytour.com that I found online. (Not sponsored. Just a suggestion.) If you’re a tourist and would like to know more about Cebu History and attractions, it would be a good choice for you. But it would cost you more though.
  • Rent a Van –  If you’re a big group and you know the places you want to visit, I recommend you rent a Van. It’s more convenient and I bet the driver knows the city so well.
  • GrabCar – Yes, GrabCar works in Cebu. (In Davao we only have GrabTaxi) This is what we did. We asked a GrabCar driver and gladly he agreed. For 7 people and 7 destinations, we paid Php 3,500 so that’s Php 500 each. Not bad. Right?
  • GrabTaxi/Taxi – If you’re in a smaller group of like 3-4 persons only, you can definitely try to ask a taxi driver. But make sure to negotiate. So instead of charging you every stop, you can definitely kind-of rent them for the day.
  • Habal-Habal Driver – Definitely the cheapest but I’d say a little inconvenient. This is for someone who’s willing to ride a motorcycle. But remember, most destinations are pretty far from each other so make sure your butt is ready for a long drive. For solo travelers, I highly recommend this.

Cebu City Tour

1) Plaza Independencia

Cebu City Tour - Plaza Independencia

Plaza Independencia is a historical site that makes it a popular tourist destination. Located just between Fort San Pedro and Casa del Gobierno de Visayas. Used to be the Provincial Capitol until 1938. Now, its a popular place to hangout for people living or working around the area.

The plaza has been the most significant sites in the history of Cebu city. You can still see the old acacia trees that has been there for years and witnessed to Cebu’s rich history.

Located in M.J.  Cuenco Avenue  and Legaspi Extension, Barangay  San Roque ,  Cebu City .

2) Fort San Pedro

Fort San Pedro in Cebu City

Fort San Pedro or Fuerza de San Pedro was built in 1565 under the command of Miguel Lopez de Legazpi. This triangular shaped fort was once built to serve as a military defense structure. Now it is known as the oldest and smallest fort in the country and is one of Cebu’s historical attractions.

Learn the history of Cebu by indulging yourself with the paintings, old photos, old items, and even see a real cannon. And you can take as many pictures as you like. 😉

Located just beside the Plaza Independencia. For Php 30, you’ll be able to enjoy this place.

3) Magellan’s Cross

Cebu City Magellan's Cross

Just few walks from the Fort San Pedro is Cebu’s historical Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño – the oldest Catholic Church in Cebu. And outside the church is where the Magellan’s cross is. Standing under a Spanish-styled pavilion is a large wooden cross that claims to be the one planted by famed explorer Ferdinand Magellan in 1521. The cross signifies the propagation of the Roman Catholic faith in the Philippines. It is said that the original cross is encased in another wooden cross for protection.

4) Basilica del Sto Niño Museum

Basilica del Sto Nino Museum

Inside the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño you will see a small museum that records the history of Christianity in Cebu.  Within the museum displays various antique objects, century-old furnitures, old artifacts of Sto. Niño, collection of velvet, accessories, priestly garments, and the old cloaks of Sto. Niño donated over the centuries. There are also items that was donated by the devotees such as the holy rosary, photos, different kind of money currency, jewelries, and many more. But just a remind, taking pictures and videos inside is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Entrance Fee:

Adult- Php 30 | Children/Senior Citizen – Php 10 | Student – Php 15

5) Sirao Flower Garden

Cebu City Tours - Sirao Garden

This is the farthest destination for our itinerary but wouldn’t want to miss it. Opened last 2015 and it gained popularity in social media of course. They called it the little Amsterdam of Cebu city known as Sirao Garden.

When we went to this flower farm, the flowers just started blooming/growing. It’s not the same as the once we saw online but still it was beautiful. For an entrance fee of only P30.00 per person, it’s totally worth it. The beautiful flowers, the garden setup, and the mountain view makes it worth the long trip. A perfect place for selfies and even for pre-nuptial photoshoot.

They said the best time to visit is during its peak season. So, it’s either April – May or October – November. That’s the time where the whole place is filled with almost human-sized flowers.

6) Tops Lookout (Top of Cebu)

Cebu city tours - Tops Lookout

Tops Lookout is considered one of the most overrated tourist spot in Cebu city. On our way there, we can already see the city. You have to pay an entrance fee of Php 100 each and see the wonderful view inside.

Since we arrived there lunch time, we won’t be able to see the spectacular city lights. Seeing the city from the top makes you realize how big it is. We can see Cebu, Mactan and even Bohol from there.

I was here back in 2011 and I remember the big old bell but now it’s no longer in there. So we just had our lunch, get a panoramic view of the city, enjoy the fresh air, and of course we took a lot of pictures.

7) Temple of Leah

Cebu City Tours - Temple of Leah

Reported as Philippines version of India’s famous Taj Mahal, a mesmerizing work of art as a symbol of one man’s undying love to his beloved wife. Back in 2012, a business tycoon Teodorico Adarna – the grandfather of the sexy actress Ellen Adarna, built a temple for her beloved wife for 53 years namely Leah V. Albino-Adarna.

For only Php 50 you can step inside the temple and feel like you are being transported into a European haven. Located at Roosevelt Street, Barangay Busay, Cebu City. Park freely outside the premises, but there’s limited slots only. Juts pay Php 100 if you want to parked inside Temple of Leah. And it’s open 24 hours and 7 days a week.

8) Taoist Temple

Cebu City Tours - Taoist Temple

Lastly, we visited Cebu Taoist Temple which is situated inside Beverly Hills Subdivision, Cebu, Philippines. Built in 1972 by a group of Chinese community, this temple is elevated over 300 meters above the sea level.

It is open to both worshippers and non-worshippers from 8am-5pm. The devotees usually pray to the Gods to grant their wishes and ask for guidance in decision making in their life. Enjoy the view of Cebu city while you’re there. It is free to go inside but you can’t take pictures inside the temple.

These are just 8 of the many places you can visit in Cebu. Learn about the history, culture and enjoy the wonderful experience Cebu has to offer.

Gospel recording artist Kirk Franklin to bring The Reunion Tour to Oklahoma City

G rammy Award-winning gospel recording artist Kirk Franklin is bringing his "Reunion Tour" to Oklahoma City ― and he's bringing his friends.

The Reunion concert, set for 7 p.m. Oct. 21, will include recording artists described as Franklins "co-headliners, esteemed peers and gospel music icons" on the Paycom Center's website. They include Yolanda Adams, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp and The Clark Sisters. Kierra Sheard-Kelly is expected to join the tour as a special guest.

Presale begins on Wednesday, May 22.

Franklin, a 20-time Grammy Award-winning producer, songwriter and recording artist, burst onto the Christian music scene in 1993 with the debut album "Kirk Franklin & The Family." The album reached No. 1 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart and spawned several hits including "Why We Sing."

Top singles in the early years of his career have included "Melodies from Heaven," and "Stomp," a 1997 crossover hit from the album "God's Property from Kirk Franklin's Nu Nation." "Stomp," featuring Franklin, iconic rap duo Salt-N-Pepa and rapper Cheryl James, charted on Billboard's mainstream R&B airplay list in addition to becoming a favorite among gospel music fans.

More recent hits include "I Smile," "Love Theory" and "Try Love."

Meanwhile, each of Franklin's co-headliners are Grammy Award winners in their own right. Hammond and Sapp, once part of the iconic gospel group Commissioned, have held sway as solo artists, each with their respective collections of gospel hits. Gospel recording artist Adams, known for her soaring vocals, was the host of a long-running gospel radio show.

Known as the First Ladies of Gospel, The Clark Sisters — Jacky Clark Chisholm, Denise "Niecy" Clark-Bradford, Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark, Dorinda Clark-Cole and Karen Clark Sheard — are the daughters of legendary gospel musician and choral director Mattie Moss Clark. Kierra Sheard-Kelly, Karen Clark Sheard's daughter, has followed in the family's musical footsteps as a solo artist with powerhouse vocals.

Nelly Korda Comes Up Clutch, Captures Sixth Victory of 2024 Season at Liberty National GC

Kerr tops leaderboard after first round of lpga senior championship.

Nelly Korda

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — It’s no wonder that she’s the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings No. 1.

After a 2-over opening nine at Liberty National Golf Club, it looked like a sixth 2024 victory might be out of reach for Nelly Korda. But as she’s done so many other times this season, the now 14-time LPGA Tour winner dug deep and battled forward, outlasting Hannah Green by one shot to win her sixth title in her last seven starts at the Mizuho Americas Open.

Korda began the round with a two-shot lead over Green, but the Australian immediately picked up a shot on Korda, making a birdie on the par-4 1st hole to move to 12-under total, now one stroke back of the two-time major champion.

Korda then stumbled, bogeying the par-3 2nd hole to drop from 13-under to 12-under and sit in a tie with Green. Korda regained a one-shot advantage over Green with a birdie on the par-3 4th hole, tripping up with a bogey on the fifth hole to slip back to 12-under and to again be tied with Green.

While Green stayed steady, Korda made another mistake on the 7th hole, bogeying the par 4 to completely erase the two-shot lead she began the day with and dropping to 11-under, now one shot back of Green. But Green only held the solo lead for a short while, as the five-time LPGA Tour winner made bogey on the par-5 8th hole to open up a three-way tie for first at 11-under alongside Korda and Ayaka Furue, who shot 1-under on her front nine at Liberty National but ultimately faded after making three bogeys and a double bogey in her final seven holes.

The race to the finish remained in a deadlock, as Korda and Green matched pars on the ninth hole and birdies on the par-5 10th hole to share the lead at 12-under with eight holes to play and the rest of the field struggling to match their pace. Korda and Green then parred 11 and 12 before each grabbed another birdie on the par-5 13th hole to move to 13-under.

Both players parred the tricky par-3 14th hole and then birdied the par-4 15th hole to get to 14-under total with three holes to play. Korda and Green again matched pars on 16 and 17, and each came to the last needing a birdie to capture another 2024 victory.

On the 18th tee, Green had the honor, pulling her tee shot into the left rough, while Korda easily found the fairway. Playing her approach shot first, Green’s second landed in the rough just short of the left greenside bunker, leaving the Aussie a tricky pitch shot, one that she hit to roughly 15 feet, handing the advantage to Korda.

Korda’s birdie try nearly dropped, and she ultimately tapped in for par, putting the pressure on Green to make her putt to force a playoff. And when Green failed to convert, two-putting for a closing bogey, it was Korda for whom the crowds once again roared on the final green of an LPGA Tour tournament, as the 25-year-old emerged victoriously for the sixth time this season at the Mizuho Americas Open.

“Oh, my gosh, six, I can't even really gather myself right now with that, the head-to-head that Hannah (Green) and I had pretty much all day,” said Korda. “Wasn't my best stuff out there today but fought really hard on the back nine. It was just amazing to share the stage with Hannah. I consider her a pretty good friend out her, and it was a lot of fun going head-to-head against her.”

With the victory, Korda becomes the first player since Inbee Park in 2013 to win six times in a single season and is the first American to do so since Beth Daniel won seven titles in 1990. She becomes just the eighth player since 1980 to win six or more times in a year, joining Betsy King, Annika Sorenstam, Karrie Webb, Lorena Ochoa, Yani Tseng, Daniel and Park. Korda has also tied Sorenstam as the fastest player to win six times in an LPGA Tour season since 1980, doing so in her eighth 2024 start.

Korda earned five consecutive victories earlier this season at the LPGA Drive On Championship, the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, the Ford Championship presented by KCC, the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards and The Chevron Championship. Her winning streak was broken at last week’s Cognizant Founders Cup by Rose Zhang, who won the Mizuho Americas Open in 2023.
