Heralded as the UK’s answer to Blink-182, Busted became one of the most iconic pop-rock bands of the noughties. Their debut self-titled album released in 2002 featured some of their biggest hits “Year 3000”, “You Said No” and their debut single “What I Go To School For”. Going onto win several accolades including Favourite Newcomer at the National Music Awards and a few BRIT awards saw Busted reach new heights as they released their follow-up album “A Present For Everyone” which went triple platinum in the UK. Their successes continued growing with every single released reaching the top 3 in the UK charts accumulating a number of eight- seriously impressive! With their teenage appeal and emulating a rebellious nature, it’s no wonder that they attracted thousands of adoring fans to their live performances. Opening with classics like “Air Hostess” sees the trio of Matt Willis, Charlie Simpson and James Bourne air jumping as they run across the stage, surrounded by a chorus of screams. Their energy is infectious as the crowd jump up and down, waving their arms in the air to “What I Go To School For” singing along word for word. Their tongue-in-cheek lyrics feed into their banter with the crowd, mirrored by some of the banners that audience wave emphatically. “Year 3000” sends the crowd wild, as the bright lights dart across the stage. “Crashed The Wedding” sees energy levels soar through the roof while ballads like “Sleeping With The Light On” slowing down them temple equally sees the biggest reaction, as the audience sway their arms in the air with the camera lights in the air. If you came to be entertained, Busted will definitely make sure you have a good time.

okay so when busted announced they were getting back together i was SO happy, the band that made my childhood and the very same band of who no one, including the band themselves, thought would ever get back together and not gonna lie, I'd liked fightstar and Charlie's solo stuff but they were all different and I liked them all in their own way but busted would always have a special part in my heart as my first loves. Anyway, we bought our tickets etc etc and the day finally came, we went and had a meal over at centertainment when

Amazing performance. Lots of energy and love from Charlie, Matt and James. The new tracks they played from the currently unreleased new album were out of this world! I loved every second of it, I was part of the Pigsty Which was ablsolutly isane to see all those people in the crowd and have a different perspective of a gig was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Charlie looks especially happy to be back he was extremely happy and energetic throughout. The lads gave great vocals and played well all night. Very much enjoyed it. Cant wait to see them next time!

After Busted split up I was devastated and when u heard they were having a reunion tour I just knew I had to go! After gettin to see McBusted which had James and Matt this was even better! Play all of the classic songs and I never sat down once. Support acts were great and was an amazing atmosphere. Such funny, talented and down to earth lads. Music sounds even better live. All busted fans must see them!

I've been waiting to see them live for the best part of 18 years and the day before my 21st I finally got to see them.

Best show of my life and I've been to well over 150 gigs in the past 2 years.

Professor Green didn't suit the lineup at all and didn't gain much of a crowd.

Scouting For Girls however were a perfect opening act. Massive crowd with everyone singing along. Brilliant.

BRILLIANT night at the Echo Arena!! Busted were phenomenal and the stage lighting made the show. My 9 year old daughter's first ever show and she was blown away, and still hasn't come down off the high 2 days later !!!

I love busted to bits but I think compared to the concert with mcbusted if was really unorganised I had a great time but there were a few unorganised moments and we didn't get much time with them in the meet and greet but over all busted did amazing the support bands wee fantastic

Amazing concert, nice to hear the old and new song. Duration was a little short. The band played with the audience to entertain us. Stage was fine, lights were good. I missed the opportunity to shake hands and ask for autographs of the band (there were no VIP tickets)

They were amazing. I enjoyed every second of it, altough it felt like it was over so soon. The vocals live were sooo good & they were very interactive with the crowd. I would love to do it all over again & would highly recommend buying tickets for theirs shows 100%

Never watched you live ive got every single one of your albums even the old one year 3000 crashed the wedding air hostess you said no who's David what I go to school for im a big fan and would love to watch them live

Busted announce 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits Tour with Hanson and Loser Kid 2.0 release with Simple Plan

Busted 's Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis and James Bourne are set to celebrate wo decades in music with their 20th Anniversary & Greatest Hits Tour later this year.

After teasing reunion plans on social media, the group will embark on a 15-date UK arena tour alongside support acts Hanson (!), New Hope Club and The Tyne.

And that's not all. The boys will also release a 15-track album featuring reworkings of their classics; the first track lifted from it being a brand-new version of Loser Kid (Loser Kid 2.0) with Simple Plan on April 14.

You're spoiling us, lads.

Tickets for the tour will be released on general sale at 9am on March 31. Fans who sign up to Busted’s mailing list will receive pre-sale access from 9am on March 29.

When is Busted's Loser Kid 2.0 with Simple Plan released?

Loser Kid 2.0 - a reworking of the closing track from Busted's debut album featuring Canadian rockers Simple Plan - will be released on April 14.

Busted burst onto the scene with their debut release in September 2002, going on to achieve four UK Number 1 singles (You Said No, Crashed the Wedding, Who's David and double A-side Thunderbirds/3AM) and three Top 10 albums (eponymous debut Busted, A Present for Everyone and Half Way There).

Following Busted's disbandment in January 2005, the group went on to achieve solo success.

Matt Willis bagged himself four Top 40 solo singles (peaking at Number 7 with debut Up All Night), Charlie Simpson claimed three Top 40 singles and four Top 40 albums as a member of rock quartet Fightstar , as well as two solo Top 40 LPs. James Bourne scored two Top 40 singles and a Top 40 album with his group Son of Dork ; also releasing solo material.

In 2014, Busted joined forces with McFly's Danny Jones, Tom Fletcher, Harry Judd and Dougie Poynter to form 'supergroup' McBusted . The group enjoyed a Top 20 single with Air Guitar (12) and Top 10 self-titled album (9).

Busted's last album as a group - Half Way There - peaked at Number 2 in February 2019.

Busted London concerts: When will the show start and what will the setlist be?

James Bourne , Charlie Simpson , and Matt Willis crashed the 02 Arena on Sunday (September 10) for the first of Busted ’s three London shows scheduled for this summer.

The beloved English pop-punk band played hits from their number one single-filled discography.

The London 02 show is believed to have sold out fast during the pre-sale stage, with only limited tickets now available for the remaining two dates in the capital.

The musicians are celebrating their 20th anniversary with an arena tour across the UK and a brand-new album of their reworked classics.

The tour will see the trio, made up of James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, and Matt Willis, play their biggest hits and fan favourites.

Here is a look at when their London concerts are, who their supporting acts will be, and what their setlist is likely to include.

When are the Busted concerts?

Busted will perform in London’s O2 Arena thrice this autumn. These dates are:

• Sunday, September 10
• Wednesday, September 27
• Tuesday, October 10

What time will Busted be on stage?

Doors will open at 6.30pm and Busted are expected to be on stage at around 8.45pm, based on previous shows.

They’re expected to perform for around an hour and a half.

Who are Busted’s supporting acts?

Busted is set to be supported by the American pop-rock band Hanson and the British band The Tyne.

Hanson, which includes the three brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac and two supporting musicians, is best known for their 1997 hit song MMMBop, which earned them three Grammy nominations. The band has sold over 16 million records worldwide since.

The Tyne, on the other hand, is a four-piece band of youngsters who are making a name for themselves in the music scene.

What is Busted’s setlist?

Given the fact that Busted has just released an album of their reworked classics, the band will be performing these live.

Following a massive 20th Anniversary arena tour in, Busted are coming to Brighton on 26th May 2024.

Impossible, though it may seem, it’s been twenty years since Busted bounced into the charts with the irrepressible pop-punk energy of their debut single ‘What I Go To School For’. It kick-started a succession of hits for the trio, including the #1 smashes ‘Crashed The Wedding’, ‘Who’s David’, ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’, ‘You Said No’ and the Top 3 singles ‘Year 3000’, ‘Air Hostess’ and ‘Sleeping With The Light On’.

Busted’s many successes spread far beyond the singles charts. Three of their four studio albums also peaked at #2, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two 5x Platinum selling albums. They have won two BRIT Awards – Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough – while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than 2 million tickets.

Busted’s 2023 20th anniversary tour followed Charlie Simpson’s recent triumph as the winner of 2023’s ’The Masked Singer’, adding to his other projects which have included four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar. James Bourne is a renowned songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums ‘Safe Journey Home’ (2020) and ‘Sugar Beach’ (2022). After releasing his debut solo album. Matt Willis famously won ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ led to a successful television career as well as acting roles, which have included the recent West End hit ‘2:22 A Ghost Story’.

Busted Announce Debut Australia Tour

The british pop-punk band will bring their live show to our shores for the very first time later this year.

Busted are coming to Australia to perform for the first time.

The iconic British pop-punk band will bring their live show to our shores this October and November.

The tour kicks off on Wednesday, October 30th at Melbourne’s Forum, moves to Eatons Hill Hotel Ballroom in Brisbane on Friday, November 1st, and wraps up at The Roundhouse in Sydney on Sunday, November 3rd.

Tickets for all three shows go on sale on Tuesday, July 9th at 11am local time, with a fan pre-sale on Thursday, July 4th. Tickets are available from the band’s official website busted.com and teglive.com.au.

Joining Busted on tour will be Australian alternative group Between You & Me, who will bring their pop-punk sound to the stage.

Busted are excited about their first Australian shows: “Finally…. Can’t believe Busted have never actually played in Australia. We are so excited to get over to the east coast this Oct/Nov. It’s gonna be mega! Let’s jump around and lose our minds!!! Busted are fully back!”

Formed in Essex in 2000, Busted broke onto the scene with their debut single “What I Go to School For,” which peaked at #3 on the UK charts.

Since then they’ve had four UK #1 singles, won two BRIT awards, and sold over 5 million records worldwide with their four studio albums.

Their catalogue includes hits like “Crashed The Wedding”, “Thunderbirds Are Go”, “You Said No”, “Year 3000”, “Air Hostess”, and “Sleeping With The Light On”.

The band reunited last year to celebrate 20 years of Busted, releasing their Greatest Hits 2.0 album, which became the UK’s #1 album in September. The album featured 15 guest artists, including Simple Plan, All Time Low, and HANSON, and debuted a new track, “Good One”.

In January 2024, the band released a live and extended version of the Greatest Hits 2.0 album, which featured a new track, “One Of These Days”.

Five men were convicted by a federal jury in Las Vegas this week for their part in operating Jetflicks , which officials say was one of the largest illegal streaming services in the U.S.

Jetflicks, which charged $9.99 per month for the streaming service, generated millions of dollars in subscription revenue and caused “substantial harm to television program copyright owners,” the Justice Department said Thursday .

The jury convicted the five men of conspiracy to commit criminal copyright infringement. In addition, the jury convicted Dallmann of two counts of money laundering by concealment and three counts of misdemeanor criminal copyright infringement. Dallmann faces a maximum penalty of 48 years in prison, while Courson, Garcia, Jaurequi and Huber each face a maximum of five years in prison, according to the Justice Department. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

According to federal prosecutors, when complaints from copyright owners and issues with payment service providers threatened to bring down the illegal outfit, the defendants “tried to disguise Jetflicks as an aviation entertainment company.”

Motion Picture Association senior EVP and global general counsel Karyn Temple called the verdict “a landmark victory for intellectual property rights.”

“The Motion Picture Association applauds the Department of Justice for its successful prosecution of five individuals who brazenly and illegally profited by infringing upon copyrighted works belonging to ACE,” Temple said, referring to the Alliance for Creativity in Entertainment, a coalition of entertainment companies focused on combatting piracy . “The jury’s conviction underscores the criminal nature of these types of offenses and the significant harms caused to the creative industry and the tens of thousands of workers who earn a living from key industry roles, including set designers, caterers, hair and makeup artists, and camera operators, to name a few.”

According to federal prosecutors, a member of the original Jetflicks group, Darryl Julius Polo (aka “djppimp”), left to create a competing site called iStreamItAll, whose subscription plans had a monthly fee of $19.99. Like Jetflicks, iStreamItAll did not have permission to distribute the TV and movie content on the platform, officials said. In 2019, Polo pleaded guilty to criminal copyright and money laundering charges, according to the Justice Department. In 2020, he was sentenced to 57 months in prison and ordered to forfeit $1 million in “criminal proceeds.”

Stick season is in full swing.

Starting back in March, arena-filling folk-rock icon Noah Kahan kicked off his sprawling, nationwide 2024 ‘We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour.’

And, now in his fifth month of shlepping all over the country, he’s having a ball.

“I felt like a kid again up there, for the first time in a long time,” the 27-year-old shared on Instagram after performing at Washington’s legendary Gorge.

If you want to see Kahan have the time of his life onstage this year, it isn’t too late to grab tickets for all 16 upcoming ‘We’ll All Be Here Forever’ shows including his back to back gigs at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Monday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 16 .

They’re not cheap, though.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any show on the tour was $73 before fees on Vivid Seats.

On June 28, Kahan dropped the country-fried single “Cowboys Cry Too” with Kelsea Ballerini.

Clocking in at a hair below four minutes, the song finds Kahan adding a touch of twang to complement the heavy heartland duet which features hard truth lyrics like “I grew up wishing I could close off the way my dad did /’cause that man never felt a damn thing he didn’t wanna feel.”

With 1,100+ speeding tickets in Chapel Hill just this year, June crackdown starts; racers clocked at 94 mph in 45 mph zone

C HAPEL HILL, N.C. (WNCN) — Police in Chapel Hill are gearing up for a speeding crackdown this month after issuing more than 1,100 speeding tickets so far this year.

Nearly every month, the Chapel Hill Police Department publicizes planned operations that focus on speeding and pedestrian safety.

During the month, officers publish on social media high-profile speeding offenses along with photos of a radar gun and high speeds on the readout. In some cases, the offending car can be seen in the photos.

Just this weekend, Chapel Hill police busted two drivers racing along Fordham Boulevard, according to town spokesman Alex Carrasquillo.

“One driver was going 94 mph, the other was going 85 mph. The speed limit there is 45 mph,” he said.

The drivers were charged with careless and reckless driving and speed competition.

So far in 2024, here are the Chapel Hill speeding tickets given by month:

• January – 180
• February – 288
• March – 224
• April – 202

The town started a June speed crackdown Tuesday and has three more planned — but more could pop up at any time, Carrasquillo said.

The other June days are set for Tuesdays: June 11, 7 to 9 a.m.; June 18, 8 to 10 a.m.; June 25, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m.

Officials said many of the 1,159 speeding tickets in 2024 were written during the pre-publicized crackdown.

“But these numbers show that our Patrol Unit is also watching for speeding during regular patrols 24/7,” Carrasquillo said.

Other high-speed incidents have been noted this year.

• One driver was traveling 70 mph on Raleigh Road where the speed limit is 35 mph.
• A driver was clocked at 92 mph on N.C. 54 at Barbee Chapel Road, where the speed limit is 45 mph.
• A driver later cited for careless and reckless was caught at 77 mph on N.C. 54 near S. Columbia Street, where the speed limit is 45 mph
• A driver was busted for traveling 85 mph on Raleigh Road, where the speed limit is 35 mph.
• Another drive was caught at 64 mph on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. near Homestead Road where the speed limit is 35 mph.

Police said they also have monthly efforts that focus on pedestrian safety.

The June pedestrian crackdowns start Wednesday between 7 and 11 a.m. and are at the same times every Wednesday this month.
