Had a great time on our Breakaway wine tour of the Edna Valley. We are repeat customers. Came back for a weekend trip for my wife's birthday. This time we were running late.. we called ahead and met the tour at the first winery and we just joined right on in. The person at the number (so sorry I forgot her name) was very helpful letting me know the itinerary, suggestions for Ubering... Very much thinking about our experience and driving safely. Once we met up with the tour, Rich our guide was amazing!! He arranged for us to leave our car parked at the first winery, helped us store and organize the different wines we bought during the tour, and was very attentive. We are ready to schedule trip 3 all because of Rich!!!! We were worried about visiting the same wineries as our last time and not having a new experience but Breakaway didn't disappoint. Only the second winery of the four was the same as our last trip but since the winery updated their look, we didn't notice until later. The lunch was great! I got the bocadillo sandwich with manchego cheese, prosciutto and tomato jam... AMAZING! Thanks Breakaway Tours!!

Hi J B. Fabulous news to be sure! We are honored that you both wanted to celebrate your wife's birthday with us in wine country. We too believe there is nothing finer. Loved that there was only one duplicate winery, even so, every year brings a new vintage to try, it's tough keeping up. A thankless job that we find delicious! Let's do trip #3 soon... Robin and the crew at Breakaway are absolutely fabulous!! Not only is Robin incredibly knowledgable about wines in general, she knows the Central Coast wine scene inside and out! She puts together amazing itineraries and seeks out the best catering! I always feel like a VIP when I'm on a Breakaway Tour!

We had a great time on our tour which was a double Bachelorette Party with 11 girls total. Brit Mike made our day so fun and he was so sweet making sure we didn't have to think of or do anything other than eat and drink! I would definitely do it again.

What a great experience, we met winemakers, we had a wonderful Guide, (Robin), not only did she know wines, but she knows just how to be with our group.

This was a birthday celebration weekend and it could not have gone any better. Our wonderful guide Don who went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect.Wineries that didn't disappoint and a delicious lunch. When looking to book this type of event Breakaway Tours is a home run.

Don't let the driver keep your wine for you. In a nutshell, this company took 14 of us to 3 great wineries from 1pm-5pm last Saturday. At Vincent, we got to sit at a long dining table that was immaculately set in the barrel room for our tasting and it included olives, cheese, bread, nuts and a great guess the wine game, not to mention the best wine of the trip. And, great hosts. It was fabulous. The problem came when our driver dropped us off at the hotel and there was a $55 bottle of wine missing. At the vineyard, our orders were taken separately and charged on the iPad. When we asked where our wine was upon leaving we were told that our driver had told the vineyard that we would take all the wine and put it into the back of the tour bus. Not at our request, not at the vineyard's request, but on his own. So we asked him about it and he said yes, I have all your wine. We made one more stop and then were back at our hotel. We had ordered 12 bottles and only 11 arrived. We noticed right away, discussed it with the driver who asked us when we were leaving. Monday. He said he would call us Sunday and get it straightened out. Never heard from him again. Emailed and called the tour company. Never called me back, but did email with a short, curt blow off, too bad. We had to awkwardly ask everyone in the group to check their credit card online. We were all charged for a total of 12. The bottle was missing. We spent all day Sunday, during our vacation, trying to call, email, stressing about it and trying to get this straightened out. Then, we had to drive back to the vineyard ourselves where they were more than gracious and gave us a bottle. I'm giving this place 3 stars because the wineries they lined up were good. Pence, Vincent and Andrew Murray, although I must say at Andrew Murray we had to sit outside in the cold at 4pm and were freezing. I took away 2 stars because of the worst customer service ever. They could have sent us a nicer email or given us a call, but only sent email and it wasn't very nice. For 129.00 per person, we expected better customer service. Lesson learned, don't trust your driver to store your wine for you in the back where you can't see it.

Hello CM, I'm so sorry to learn about the missing bottle and I'm happy it was resolved. Please accept my apologies for the short three emails that I sent on Sunday in response to your voicemail. I had hoped to give you as much information to resolve the situation as quickly possible, being that you were still in the region. My father in-law had a stroke and I was not in a place where I could call. Your driver/guide was leading a tour in another region but had apprised me of the situation, which I in turn relayed to Vincent Vineyards, so that they would be expecting you. Customer satisfaction is our #1 priority and this is not our typical response to such matters but it was an unusual Sunday. It is our standard level of service to load our guest's wine into the vehicle for them as well as store them in the back. I'm sorry to have caused you any stress. I am happy to hear you enjoyed the wineries chosen, certainly three of our favorites! It is my sincere hope that all in all; Ronda enjoyed her birthday weekend! Thank you so much for a great day of wine tasting!!! We went for a bachelorette weekend and loved our experience with this company! Paula was such a great driver and tour guide. He kept it fun and made sure we stayed on time even with such a large group. Alicia helped to plan a great schedule and we enjoyed each of the wineries!

We planned a 30-person company trip and Breakaway Tours handled our wine tasting adventure. Well, it was actually a zip-line and then wine tasting adventure. First of all, the staff was excellent to deal with and the guide throughout our day was top notch. Everyone had a perfect time and I can't recommend them enough. They had everything coordinated and planned and it was clear they were very experienced with this sort of thing. So we started the day zip-lining. I'm beyond terrified of heights/falling, but since I know I would never jump out of a plane or bungee jump, I told myself I was going to zip-line and that was it. Long story short... I did and there's even a YouTube video of my first attempt. There are four different zip-lines and the first one is the longest and highest. So once that is out of the way, you're good to go. After a couple hours of zip-lining, it's off to the wineries. We did three with lunch in the middle. If you're looking for a group winery tour with experienced experts and a little adventure, Breakaway Tours is a good call.
