Are there any administration fees.

No, we don't charge any administration fees when you order currency from us.

Will I be charged for using my credit/debit card?

No, we don’t charge any extra when you buy foreign currency by card.

Some card providers may charge a cash advance fee and interest for buying currencies. Cash advance fees will not show on your travel money order, but you’ll be able to see them on your card statement. If you’re not sure, you should check with your card issuer.

There is no cash advance fee when you use a Sainsbury’s Bank Credit Card. No interest will be charged, as long as the full outstanding balance on the credit card is cleared during the current billing cycle. If a balance remains on the account at the end of the billing cycle, interest will be charged and may apply to the currency purchased.

Do I get any benefits for being a Nectar member?

Yes, you do. If you tell us your Nectar card number when you place your order, we’ll give you a better exchange rate*. Not a Nectar member? Sign up today .

When will I receive my home delivery order?

You can select a specific working day delivery date up to seven days in advance. Please note Saturday deliveries are not guaranteed. Also, if you’ve chosen a Monday delivery, Royal Mail may try to deliver on Saturday.

Orders for collection at any Sainsbury's Bank Travel Money Bureau or for home delivery are subject to a maximum value of £4,500 per person per day.

All home delivery orders are subject to a minimum value of £100** and a maximum of £2,500. There is no minimum order value for orders for collection at a Sainsbury's Bank Travel Money Bureau.

How long will my travel money card take to arrive?

We’ll send out your travel money card as soon as you order it, so it should be with you in three to five working days. You can also get a travel money card immediately at our bureaux if you need yours at short notice. 

Can I exchange unused travel money?

Yes, we can buy back your foreign currency. Just bring your unused currency back to a Sainsbury’s Bank travel money bureau and we’ll exchange it back to sterling. Please note that we can buy back notes but not coins. 

Can I pay using Apple Pay?

Yes, as long as the card issuer you are using is Maestro, Mastercard or VISA.

**You can order currency for a secure home delivery by 1pm on the day of your choice by Royal Mail (Mon- Sat). For next day delivery your order needs to be confirmed before 2pm (Mon- Fri). Highlands and Islands (including Channel Islands) are not guaranteed next day delivery. Delivery is free on all cash orders £400 or more (£4.99 for orders between £100 and £399.99). You can pick a collection date when you're ordering your money. Order before 2pm and you can pick up Euros or US Dollars from most Tesco Travel Money bureaux the next day. Other currencies can take up to five days. Alternatively, you can order any currency for next weekday delivery to most of the selected customer service desks.

Please make sure you collect your money within four days of your chosen date. If you don't, your order will be returned and your purchase will be refunded, minus a £10 administration charge.

However, regardless of your card type, your card provider may apply fees, e.g. cash advance fees or other fees, so please check with them before you purchase your travel money.

Click & Collect cancellations

You can cancel a Click & Collect order any time prior to collection. We'll refund you with the full Sterling amount that you paid for your order, unless you cancel less than 24 hours before your collection date, in which case we'll charge a £10 late cancellation fee.

We are unable to refund any fees charged by your card issuer, so please contact them if you have any further queries.

Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has broken his silence on social media, responding to a fan quizzing him over his takeover commitments to the club following a US fixture proposal

Ryan Reynolds has denied that talks have taken place over Wrexham and Birmingham City's League One clash next season taking place in the U.S.

Mirror Football reported this week that the two clubs, owned by Americans, discussed the idea of their games being played across the Pond to take advantage of ‘increased commercial opportunities' - but the EFL vetoed the idea. A match being moved away from the UK would have gone against the guiding principles laid out by Reynolds and co-owner Rob McElhenney when they bought the Red Dragons in 2020.

"Goes against every single one of the 'guiding principles' you stated publicly before even buying the club. Let’s not start getting too greedy and breaking promises @VancityReynolds @RMcElhenney," a fan pressed Reynolds on X.

The Wrexham co-owner took to social media and denied that any talks had taken place. Reynolds replied: "I agree. And that’s why there have been no talks."

Neil Cotterell, chair of Birmingham City’s supporters’ trust, also pushed back. "I think of much more interest to supporters could be a pre-season friendly in the U.S. which could still have commercial benefits," Cotterell confirmed to Mirror Football.

The two teams find themselves in the same division, pitting NFL legend Tom Brady's Birmingham against actors Reynolds and McElhenney's Wrexham following different fortunes for both clubs last season. The Blues were relegated from the Championship last season in Brady's first year of ownership, which saw a number of managerial changes, including the hiring and firing of Manchester United and England legend, Wayne Rooney .

Whereas Wrexham confirmed a second consecutive promotion, finishing second in League Two before Stockport. The Welsh club has enjoyed a meteoric rise up the English football divisions and Wrexham's global stock has never been higher. 'Welcome to Wrexham', a fly-on-the-wall docuseries following the Hollywood owners and the club is hugely popular on Disney+.

Renovations are also taking place at Wrexham's Racecourse Ground. The club are building a new stand. For the time being, Wrexham has announced the extension of the temporary stand, which will accommodate approximately 3,000 seats while the Kop Development begins. "The Club has agreements in principle to purchase the land required for the Kop development's footprint," Wrexham continued.

One of the driving factors behind the stadium redevelopment was due to local fans complaining that they couldn't get matchday tickets. The two owners were told that a temporary stand wasn't a good financial decision - but they've pressed ahead anyway.

"That’s the biggest complaint that I’ve been seeing is people on the town saying we can't get in to see the games because of the tickets,” McElhenney said of Wrexham fans. “Us losing a lot of money seems to be kind of the whole thing.”

Arsenal youngster Arthur Okonkwo has confirmed he has left the Gunners – paving the way for a return to Wrexham.

The goalkeeper joined The Red Dragons on a season-long loan last September following Ben Foster’s shock retirement . Quickly winning the no1 spot, the 22-year-old played a vital role in the club securing promotion to League One.

His role was singled out for special praise by club co-owner Rob McElhenney , with the Hollywood star revealing earlier this month he was eager to bring Okonkwo back to north east Wales .

‘There’s a very good chance,’ the ‘Always Sunny in Philadelphia’ star told talkSPORT.

‘We’re talking to Arthur actively right now, we know he wants to come back to Wrexham and we definitely want him. It’s just about working out the right deal that works for everybody.’

A return to Wrexham now appears closer than ever with Okonkwo confirming his contract at Arsenal has now expired in an emotional post on Instagram, leaving him free to join a new club on a permanent basis.

‘The time has come to say goodbye to Arsenal,’ he wrote. Having joined the club in 2009 as an eight years old, I have so many incredible memories over 15 years.

In addition to having the backing of the owners, Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson also recently underlined his desire to see Okonkwo return to the club ahead of their season in English’s football’s third tier.

‘Obviously we’re keen to keep Arthur and we’re working on that,” Parkinson told BBC Sport Wales.

‘It could take time but there’s one thing for sure, we’ll give it everything that we’ve got to keep Arthur at the club.’

After the report emerged of the possibility of hosting the fixture outside England, an angry Wrexham fan took to X to remind their owners of the 'guiding principles' they laid down before acquiring the Welsh club. Birmingham City and Wrexham's bold plan to play a League One game in the United States has been thwarted by the English Football League (EFL).

The two clubs, both owned by Americans, proposed to reschedule their games across the Atlantic to capitalize on 'increased commercial opportunities'. No EFL game has ever been played outside of the United Kingdom.

Birmingham is owned by Knighthead Capital, a New York-based investment fund specializing in reviving struggling companies, with Tom Brady a co-owner. The Welsh club , meanwhile, is managed by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

It's believed the connection between NFL superstar Brady and actor Reynolds was crucial to the plan. Brady is a minority investor at St Andrew's, having been introduced by Knighthead with whom he has a close business relationship.

Meanwhile, Reynolds, along with Wrexham co-owner McElhenney, has overseen back-to-back promotions in Wales and used his fame to secure a Disney-backed documentary about the club. A source close to the Second City club confirmed that a discussion had occurred between the relevant parties.

While the EFL didn't seem to have any problem with a friendly match being played on American soil, it rejected the idea of any league match being played outside the country. The proposal received a lukewarm response from Neil Cotterell, chair of Birmingham City's supporters' trust.

He expressed: "While I can see an idea like this could have commercial benefits and increase the profile of the club, there is a risk of alienating regular match-going fans and it could also have wider implications for the Football League.

"It seems to me that any such idea would be at an early stage and hopefully the club would engage with fans before pursuing further. I think of much more interest to supporters could be a pre-season friendly in the US which could still have commercial benefits."

Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds has denied talks have taken place about his team playing a League One fixture against Birmingham in the United States.

It was reported on Monday that Birmingham, another club under North American ownership , had asked the EFL for permission to play the Welsh club in the USA, but that the request had been rejected.

The reports prompted some angry responses from Wrexham fans, including one who said such a move would go against the guiding principles set out by Reynolds and fellow Hollywood star Rob McElhenney when they took over the club.

Reynolds replied to that message on X, writing: “I agree. And that’s why there have been no talks.”

Sources close to the EFL said they were unaware of any formal approach on this matter.

Birmingham were not immediately available for comment. The 2024-25 EFL fixtures will be announced on Wednesday morning.

Football’s world governing body Fifa is reviewing the rules on playing domestic matches overseas.

La Liga says it is reviving efforts to play games in the USA, but Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said in April his competition had “no plans” to do that.

Since then, Liverpool chairman Tom Werner has said he is “determined” to play a Premier League match in New York.

Biden campaign targets Latino voters with 'media blitz' around Copa America 2024

President Joe Biden's campaign is spending millions on advertisements and activations around the 2024 Copa America soccer tournament, which begins Thursday night in Atlanta.

The Biden campaign kicked off the "seven-figure media blitz" with a new political advertisement to coincide with the Argentina vs. Canada opening match and is hoping to connect with Latino voters in battleground states, according to a campaign statement released Thursday.

Copa América is one of the largest and highest viewership men’s soccer tournaments in the world and is expected to be the most-watched Spanish-language TV program of the year on TelevisaUnivision networks prior to the November election, the network's president of sports told Sports Business Journal.

The Biden campaign also mentioned Lionel Messi's arrival to Major League Soccer as a catalyst for soccer's growing significance among U.S. audiences, along with the popularity of television show “Ted Lasso” and the “Welcome to Wrexham" documentary.

The focus on Copa America is an effort to connect with the growing U.S. soccer fan base, and Latino voters in particular. In addition to the television and radio advertisements, the campaign will throw sponsored Copa America watch parties, pass out branded gear, host events at local bars and restaurants in swing states Nevada and Arizona and providing "bilingual toolkits" with Biden conversation guides for volunteers to use during at-home viewings of the Copa America matches. The watch parties will also serve as volunteer recruitment opportunities.

“Our campaign knows the power of showing up to earn the Latino vote, and today’s historic announcement to organize and mobilize around Copa América is a perfect example of doing that important work,” Biden-Harris 2024 Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in the news release.

“Throughout the next few weeks, we will harness the energy of Copa to mobilize and reach the Latino voters who will decide this election in their communities, on the airwaves, and at Copa matches.”
