Tourism Management System

Project objective.

This software is designed in Visual studio editor with SQL Server as back end. All the data will be stored in the server and in case of any data losing situation, a backup will be available by this server. The software is being designed in such a way that all the details related to every aspect of tourism will be available separately and the customers and agents will not have to go through any of the problem. They just have to click once and all the details will get available to them.

Existing System

In the existing system, all the records are not kept perfectly because all the work is done manually, so keeping up to date details of the vehicles, timings of bookings, seat availability for reservation, vehicles or rooms/hotels availability is not done. Amount of the overall trips are kept in documents and the calculations done are manually which made lead to huge mistakes. Thus, the existing system is very time consuming and being manual work sometimes lead to a great loss as well.

Proposed System

The propose system is highly automated and makes the travelling activities much easier and flexible. The user can get the very right information at the very right time. Customers can get the knowledge of the hotels and vehicles they are going to use in their trip prior to their starting of trip. This will increase the trust of the customer into the travel company as well.

Once the bookings are confirmed all the travel details, customer details as well as all the relevant details related to the trip like hotel name, room number, vehicle number, vehicle owner’s details, date of arriving, date of departure, food to be served and every single detail will be available to the client. They just need once to click using mouse and everything is made available to them.

Modules to be used are:

1. Customer system: This keeps the track of all the new customers and old customers as per their regular needs and generates timely report of it whose one copy is being send to the customer and another copy is being kept into the company’s database for future reference.

2. Travel Agent system: In this module, all the travel agents information associated with the company is kept and all their activities will be tracked.

3. Package Information system: In this module, all the information like hotel’s availability, rooms availability, buses and trains reservation, places to be viewed with tour agent, food to be served, various important timing and all is kept.

click on Administrator, profile there you can change Password and if you want to change username too you have to change from the database (tms.sql) – search for INSERT INTO `admin` ,(which is around line 40) where you can change the username. Similarly, for changing admin profile picture, first upload your photo at (adminimages) folder then go to (adminincludes)folder and open “header.php” using any text editor. See Line 12, you’ll find img src and replace the image name ” User-icon.png ” with your own!!

because I named the database as tms.sql and imported the sql file it says : Error: SQLSTATE[HY000] [1049] Unknown database ‘tms’

no, you have to name your database as “tms” not “tms.sql”

I downloaded but after i extract the file do not have any sql file. Where the file do you put it?

the database file is inside the folder named as “sql file”. Open it up, there’s a SQL file “tms.sql”

This program is called Monbela Hotel Management System Project Using VB.Net and MS Access.

This system is a great help in hotel companies for them to ease their paperwork for room reservation.

With this system, all paper works and task will be completely done is just a few clicks.

The objective of this project is to computerize the processes of the database system that will include: adding of guest, checking in, checking out and reservation.

One of the goals of this program is to reduce extensive paperwork in the currently used system which is manual. It will make the employee versatile.

Features of Hotel Management System in VB.net Project

• The basic feature of this system is easy to access by an employee. • The main feature of this program is it can choose a room that suits the taste of a customer. • The rooms have three types of Single, Twice, Family and have an affordable cost of the rooms • The system can add guest information. • This system also can see all those who are in the check-in and check out the list. • The admin can determine all of the guest lists.

System Process

• First fill-up the login form to access the program. • Then the user will fill-up the form to add guest information. • The customer will choose the type of room that desires his/her taste. • If the customer consumes the number of days he/she stayed at the hotel he will pay the amount due.

Updates • The system now can see all of the total sales of the given day. • The admin now can see all of the guest information. • The admin can cancel if the customer wants to cancel her/his transaction.
