This by far was one of my favorite helicopter rides! Walking in staff were very very nice. Katie and Mike were there to answer all of our questions. It's very clean inside and the best part is that they have a game room for you to play games while you wait . My friends and I were like big kids and I loved every part of it. Talk about nostalgia....we played Pac-Man, jenga, and ping pong. We even had a glass of wine before takeoff. The ride itself was amazing! Arthur, our pilot was great. We were able to see beautiful views of the mountains as well as views of the strip. The sun was setting so that made it even better! It was a perfect day and a perfect ride.

I can't recommend a helicopter tour enough. This tour was the best price and the friendliest staff with lots of experience our pilot angel was the best! We had the smoothest trip with the best views. Thank you Julie chance and walker for being so awesome and getting us in last minute.

Had the best experience, with unbeatable views of the Las Vegas strip. Definitely recommend going for sunset so you can see the light reflect off all the buildings. The helicopter I flew in was really nice and everything went smoothly. All the staff members from the front desk to the pilots were very friendly and informative. I felt comfortable the whole time. Would wholeheartedly recommend booking with Starlight!

The tour was excellent I read a lot of bad reviews but I always encourage people to see for theirselves. Everything went perfect not sure why people complaint so much. excellent tour company. Don't listen to the bad reviews and book your tour and see for yourself!! I took the tour over the strip it was 15 minutes & the staff & pilot were attentive and very informative. Place is easy to find and the check in process is a breeze!! definitely recommend!!!

When you check in to the location after booking your tickets online, they don't inform you about the additional $10 per phone payment (phone case with a strap around the neck to use in flight to secure the phone from falling). We were charged an extra $20 on top of what we paid and were told it's "protocol" not to take pics in front of the helicopter before flight unless we pay an additional $20. Not only was none of this mentioned but the staff are completely unprofessional and lack any sort of customer success skills, wearing crocs while at work, the pilot Lexie laying on the couch in the customer waiting area when we were told to go there and wait for the flight to be prepared. Yet my BIGGEST issue and WORSE experience was when the PILOT Lexie never informed us of the safety procedures and do's and don't while in flight, which led her to lash out on me mid flight in anger and disrespect because my legs where hanging slightly out (doors off Helicopter) which I have witnessed many people do online and wasn't aware it was a safety hazard and was NEVER told either. This young girl clearly has no respect to customers and was belligerent enough to say "get the **** off my helicopter" and threatening with "If you do that again, I'm heading back" yet If I was told pre-flight or in a polite passive way; I would have never done it again anyways. It shows how entitled and rude this individual is as an employee flying a company helicopter and thinking she owns these company assets as well! Unbelievable disrespect and when confronted, neither her or the other employees said a word to de-escalate the situation, instead we where ignored and met with silence. It's the first time we get a service at such a shady, unprofessional, insincere company that hires kids to run a business without transparency and passion. The only unfortunate reason why we chose Skyline Helicopter Tours was because they offer "doors-off helicopter experience" but I highly suggest you check elsewhere and notice their replies on others reviews (google reviews) to understand what I meant in this review.

I had a great experience and cannot wait to come back!!! The location is very spacious they have a waiting room with couches, a game room with ping pong and a chalk board, another waiting room with a TV and a kitchen where you can make yourself a latte and massage chairs. I didn't expect all the extra features but it was great! Mike was our pilot he was very friendly and gave a great tour of the strip. We flew with the doors off which make the trip even better! I'm a big baby so I thought I would be scared but it ended up being a great time I didn't have any worries :~) will be back soon

Their customer service can be categorized as rude and unprofessional -- to put it lightly. I called to inquire about a tour and possibly featuring their helicopter company on a popular broadcast network and I didn't even get finished with what I was saying before the man on the phone hung up on me. Plus, the man who answered the phone did so in an indistinguishable mumble. So, I had to ask "Is this Skyline Helicopter Tours?" I've worked answering phones and typically there's a greeting (i.e Thank you for calling XXX, my name is XXX. How can I be of service to you today? Step your game up -- you're embarrassing our city.

Staff are remarkably friendly and attentive, they were pretty clear about safety and instructions. We chose the open door experience above Las Vegas Strip.. and the tour sure made me appreciate Vegas' bright lights. It was really nice seeing it in a different angle and it was quite entertaining. Although I must say that the best view is seated on the left side and the right side is better looking upfront. Overall: it's a fun, exciting experience, and I certainly recommend it to everyone...

The hunt is on after mystery monolith reappears near Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS ( KLAS ) — A shiny mystery seems to have reappeared after Las Vegas Metro Police posted a picture on social media saying they found a mysterious monolith near Gass Peak over the weekend.

Metro Police Search and Rescue Unit spotted the monolith from the air north of the valley near Gass Peak and posted about it via X on Monday.

For Las Vegas residents, finding the monolith may not be so simple: You would need to travel up to an hour and a half on a bumpy road outside of Las Vegas before arriving at the hiking trails to find the shiny mystery.

Alesha Wallace and James Davis were out on their second attempt to find the object when they ran into 8 News Now.

“We saw the post and I really wanted to come see because we missed the one in Utah because they had it taken down so quickly, so I wasn’t going to risk not going to see it this time,” Wallace explained. “We searched for hours last night hiking all the way up to the top of Gass Peak and did not having any luck then so today we are out again.”

Wallace and Davis found a note near the Gass Peak trailhead explaining that the monolith could not be found on that specific trail. The locals then decided to head to the other side of the mountain to try and find it.

“We were pretty excited to find out it was near a trail we are pretty familiar with,” Wallace said.

While the trail was one they were familiar with it was not an easy one, Davis explained.

“No matter where you step, you just slide down, and it was 3.3 miles to the top. It was a hike,” Davis said.

Three years ago, Dean Miarecki of Skyline Helicopter Tours spotted a similar monolith and shot and uploaded a video of it on YouTube . But no one is quite sure if that monolith is the same one that now sits upon the peak.

Many locals, including Wallace and Davis, are out searching for answers to the mystery.

“It got so many off their butt, out and hiking and adventuring together as a family, and that is what it is kind of about,” Davis explained.

Metro Police warn citizens that it is not an easy trek out to Gass Peak and that they should take careful precautions before hiking to catch the monolith. Some of these include notifying someone of your whereabouts, doing proper research before the hike, and bringing plenty of water and supplies necessary during the hike.

Giant inflatable IUD comes to Tallahassee as part of nationwide reproductive rights tour

The 'IUD Express' nationwide campaign tour stopped in Tallahassee Monday and put up a 20-foot-tall inflatable contraceptive device at Kleman Plaza, within sight of the state's Capitol. 

The giant lilac-tinted balloon, depicting a intrauterine device, joined the Tallahassee skyline on the second anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and ended a federal right to an abortion. 

Tallahassee City Commissioner Jack Porter and Florida Democratic Party chair Nikki Fried were on hand to highlight the prop as a way to discuss what they said was a growing threat to a woman’s bodily autonomy. 

“We're losing our freedoms and Republicans refuse to stand up and to fight back,” Fried said to a group of reporters and photographers at a midday news conference on the sunbaked plaza lacking any other human activity.  

She said Florida lawmakers took their lead from former President Donald Trump and the Supreme Court to impose a six-week abortion ban and now Florida lawmakers in Washington are failing to support contraceptive rights. 

“As someone with an IUD, the idea they could restrict access to contraception is terrifying to me personally. Women across Florida know that these are not just idle threats,” Porter said.

Abortion bans, restrictions on the rise in Florida, elsewhere

In the past two years, 21 Republican-led states, including Florida, have banned or imposed new restrictions on the procedure and seven states have granted personhood to an embryo. 

The fallout from the Dobbs decision has intensified abortion as a divisive issue that both Democratic and Republican candidates are using to energize supporters for the November election.

PolitiFact checked Vice President Kamala Harris when in Florida she said 1 in 3 women of reproductive age live in a state with an abortion ban. It found Harris had underestimated – the number is closer to 40%. 

Groups backed by George Soros, the billionaire contributor to progressive political causes who some criticize for being too influential, launched the nationwide tour of the inflatable IUD to highlight abortion and contraceptive rights earlier this month.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America organization, agreed that the last two years have seen significant events that have boosted “the ongoing fight for life.” 

“There is still much work ahead to ensure that every mother and child is supported and protected,” Dannenfelser said in a prepared statement.  

Inflatable IUD on the move around the country

The 20-foot IUD balloon's first public appearance was in Washington, D.C., on June 5 after 39 Republican senators and eight House members voted 'no' on the  Right to Contraception Act .

It includes protections for condoms, IUDs, the pill, patches, and emergency contraception. IUDs are small, T-shaped plastic devices inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. They work by stopping sperm from fertilizing an egg and by preventing fertilized eggs from implanting in the uterus.

From the nation's capital, the balloon jetted to Las Vegas for a photo shoot at the iconic “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign. 

The IUD was then flown back east for the Florida leg of the tour. It made weekend appearances in Miami, Orlando, and Tampa, before a Tallahassee stop to mark the Dobbs decision's 2-year anniversary.  

Talethia Edwards said she admired the giant balloon as a symbol of resistance against extremism. She's a doula, someone without medical training who helps during pregnancy and delivery.  

“This is a fight for a world where every woman has the freedom, resources and respect she deserves to make her own choices about her body and her future,” Edwards told a reporter. 

What's next

∎ From Tallahassee the IUD will spend this weekend in St. Louis.

∎ Then it is on to Syracuse, Albany and New York City in New York, and Toledo, Ohio, before a mid-summer break.

∎ The tour will pick back up in August with visits to the Carolinas and Virginia scheduled.
