Scam company who get your information and you don't get tickets

First time using this travel company. Booked on line and never received an email of confirmation even though it did give me a confirmation number. Started to get nervous after a day went by so I called. Spoke with a representative who said they could not give the price I agreed to and it would be a different price. So red flag went right up. Total scam and the worst part is they have all my information now with credit card info. Do not use them. Went to the airline and booked tickets without issue and it was close to the same price. Don't be fooled by this company that appears to just be taking your information and what seems to suck you in with the hope for cheap tickets. I will be reporting them as well.

Admittedly, I was very upset with what I still view was a “bait & switch,” you book online & then receive notification that the reservation is unavailable & the process is repeated when you call directly to use the discount code, however, I was pleasantly surprised with Toy’s service, both professional & personable. He followed up with confirmation & was diligent in assisting & assigning booked seats. I still had “a skeptical pit in my stomach” (due to the way the process “bait & switch “ process was initiated, so I called Delta directly. All my information was correct & securely documented. What a relief! So, I have confidence in Roy & his SERVICE oriented demeanor & results.

Roy helped me book my ticket for a Thanksgiving trip. Ticket prices listed on google flights and directly from the airlines were very high. But Roy got me a cheaper price and I ended up saving about $200. The process takes a day or two but unless you are in a major rush this shouldn't be an issue. And you can call anytime and someone immediately picks up. That's right. A human being picks up the phone. And you don't even have to press some complicated sequence of buttons as you listen to automated messages. None of that is required. You call, the phone rings and a person picks it up. You don't even have to wait. The customer service is really great and I very thankful to Roy for his help.

I booked two fares for my December flights 6/24/23. Everything seemed fine. Today I decided to check the flight times since delta had to adjust. I needed the new times to let my airport transfer company know of the changes. Went to the delta site and reservation was gone. Sky travel hub had cancelled them on 10/2. I called. They have a credit on my acct with them which they refuse to return to me had to rebook. Total scam. Reporting to my CC company. Hopefully can recoup some of my loss with the extra cost of rebooking. Do NOT use this company. If it sounds too good……

Buyer Beware!

I booked a flight with SkytravelHub for my wife and I to travel to Las Vegas. I received an email stating that they had tried to contact me, which was a lie no attempts were made. Then when I spoke to them I was informed that the flight I booked was not available and they offered me an alternative flight on a different airline at twice the cost! I could have booked the flight directly with the airline at nearly the same cost. The advertised price is to get you booked, then they do the bait and switch. Buyer beware! (Small note: I have yet to speak with anyone who is able to speak clear english!)

This is the first time I booked my tickets with Sky Travel Hub. With so many scams out there, I regretted booking my tickets with a site that I was not familiar with as soon as I typed "I agreed". Especially their price was @ $100 less than what I saw at others. Could that be true?!? Well, I double checked with the airline web site directly with the E Ticket Confirmation code I was provided with and found my name on my round trip tickets. Yay! I purchased plane tickets from them months ago and got a confirmation. Just the other day I went to print out my tickets since the flight is in a couple weeks. Well, my tickets were cancelled by then with no notice! When I called and chatted they said the tickets at that price were cancelled and if I still wanted them it would be an extra $600+ per ticket. Totalling about $1300! I was in a panic because this trip is to go see family that I haven't been able to see in many years. I got no apology, no offer to make it right or help me get tickets in my price range. Just asked for more money or they said I could go elsewhere. My holidays are now ruined. I will not see my family and I am beyond upset. Look at their reviews with the Better Business Bureau. They are a scam of a company and should not be in business. Beware!

Don't fall for these fake reviews down below. I purchased two times in the same week with them. They confirmed the purchase on both and then sent a message canceling the ticket the next day. They said I needed to call them and pay $900 for the tickets. Since the first ones are not available, this is a trap. Don fall their game, please keep a report if this happens to you.

Tickets to Dominican Republic

I called for tickets fir 3 people and talked to Roy. And he was extremely helpful..Went right to finding the best flight and times we needed. He advised me of all the steps that he was taking to get the E-tickets processed..I was very pleased as he even got us main cabin, extra leg space. I feel he went out of he way to treat me as family. Good service

I worked with Roy, and he was very helpful. I initially bought my tickets online through the website, but for the rest of the purchase (flight changes, etc.) I went directly through Roy via phone/email. It was very easy and I had no issues. I will be flying out next week.

Don't fall for this trick

Oh my goodness: Don't fall for this trick. They put our cheap deals and they call you back the following day to tell you that the deal is sold out and that you have to buy a more expensive ticket, Imagine a cost of $168.00 to $498.00. are you kidding me? I don't even know who writes these positive reviews. This is a joke. It is just a way to get you to click on their stupid nonexistent deals. Never again!

I've used multiple times with great experiences!

I think skytravelhub has received some poor reviews because the way they do things is not typical. You don't receive your tickets immediately after booking. However, I've used them 3 times and all 3 times I've been able to book with Delta for a price that's hundreds of dollars less than the Delta site or other travel sites. 2 times the flights weren't even listed anymore on Delta as being avail but I still was able to book. My tickets came within 1-3 days and I flew without issues so they're definitely legit. Twice I was able to call to get better deals than listed on the skytravelhub website. I tried that because I wasn't finding flights that met my needs. The first time I didn't need to call. One time Delta changed their flight times, so I called skytravelhub back and they were able to change my flight for me for a better price and I didn't need to fly at the odd time Delta had changed the flight to (this has been happening a lot with airlines since COVID). You can call skytravelhub and actually talk to someone without being transferred or waiting on hold. You don't need to go through lengthy automated systems either. I usually hate calling for things like this but they really do make it easy. No I don't work for them, but I don't feel like the poor reviews are fair and I'm glad I took the chance the first time (I was desperate that time to find a good flight) because I've had great luck every time. All 3 times I was flying to Tucson, so not sure if anything will be different elsewhere.

Company full of liars and scammers

The customer service started off great with Roy. He was recommended to me since we were going to be booking as part of a really large group. I was originally quoted a price $75 more than what my traveling companions paid. After addressing this with him, he “adjusted” the fare and was able to match the price. After paying for the tickets for myself and my family, I receive a call a few days later from Mary, who states that she can beat Roy’s price and give me the tickets for almost $100 less than the matched price. I was assured by Roy that he was giving me the “best price” for the original fare (the one that was $75 more than the other tickets) and the reassured that the “matched price” is the best price he can give. Mary also assured me of the same. I was unable to cancel my ticket from Roy and therefore ended up not saving the $100. When I had purchased my ticket with Roy, I had informed him that I wanted to upgrade to Delta’s comfort + or first class depending on the availability. Obviously, wince a sale was to be made, he guaranteed that this is no problem and suggested I purchase economy tickets first and then track price changes for the higher classes. After purchasing the tickets I checked to see if I can upgrade and all the seats were greyed out. I kept checking on a weekly basis for about a month and a half and they were still greyed out. I reached out to Roy twice in this timeframe only to be told that Delta hasn’t released these seats yet and that I should keep checking. Not satisfied with his answer, I called Delta and they told me that I cannot upgrade because of the type of ticket I’ve purchased. I reached back out to Roy who said this cannot be and he will have someone from the ticketing team look into this. I get a call back a few hours later and I’m told that Delta hasn’t released these seats yet and that I should wait some more. I’m currently 3 weeks away from flying out and I’m being told the airline hasn’t released the tickets while the app is telling me those sections are entirely vacant. I text Roy and let him know of this revelation and I’m told to call him…I call and he’s gone for the day…I text and I’m told to call…I call and he’s gone for the day. I guess I’m flying basic economy…if I’m flying that is.

I would have given the whole experience…

I would have given the whole experience 5stars but due some minor gaps i chose not to . The following is my experience and the areas I think sky travel hub should improve upon. Jessica was very helpful in helping me find the best deal. After giving her my requirements for the flights, she quickly gave me options to choose. We were communicating online thru chat and I don't know if she was multitasking or the system is just slow, but the response could've been faster. I was waiting a little bit longer for her response. When I finally decided the flights I wanted, I told her to let's do it over the phone so to make the transaction faster. I told her to give me a call at 9:00am the next day to close the sale. I waited for more than an hour for her call and nothing happens. This is after she told me (chat) that "for sure" will call... So since I really want to make this deal happen ( because it's really the cheapest), I called the number and got a hold of Alex. Alex right away took over the transaction and I gave my information to close the sale. It was very quick. Alex assured me that the transaction is being processed and it will take 24 to 48 hours before I get my confirmation and e-tickets. This is where the opportunity to calm the customers. I just spend $2400.00 for the flights. I would have preferred a follow up text or call to assure me that it's fine just going thru the process. I had to initiate the call to find out the status. There was a moment where I was in doubt if this deal was going to go through or not. But Alex assured me that everything was fine and sure enough after few more hours I got my confirmation and e-tickets. I would recommend STH and plan to use them again now that I know what to expect. It would be nice if they could make some adjustments to the process.

 Labour has fallen four points to 38% - the party's lowest share since Rishi Sunak became prime minister - in a Savanta poll for the Sunday Telegraph. 

But, it still holds a 17 point lead over the Conservatives, who were unchanged on 21%, indicating a landslide majority for Sir Keir Starmer. 

"This is our lowest Labour vote share since Rishi Sunak became prime minister, and the Conservatives for their part do appear to have slowed or stopped their downward spiral," said Savanta's political research director Chris Hopkins. 

"However, that's where the good news ends for the prime minister, as if this vote share was replicated on polling day, Labour would still likely have a majority of over 200."

• Reform UK unchanged on 14%
• Liberal Democrats up one point on 11%
• Green Party up one point on 6% 
• SNP down one point on 2%
• Others up one on 7%

Mr Hopkins said the increase in vote share for the Greens and independent candidates is "notable".

"Not because it will have an impact on this election in any significant way, but could point towards trouble for the Labour Party in government and over the coming years," he added. 

Some 2,092 UK adults were polled from 26-28 June. The comparison is with an earlier poll conducted from 21-24 June.

Sir Anthony Seldon is our next guest on Politics Hub With Ali Fortescue .

He has penned a new book entitled '2010-2014: 14 wasted years?', and we ask for his reflections on the Tory years in power.

He says there were some good things, such as in education where standards rose, "aspects of pensions, aspects of science, aspects of the arts, Universal Credit".

But he goes on: "Overall, growth and productivity has been stagnant since the global financial crisis of 2007-8, and if we look at health, if we look at transport, if we look at housing, if we look at the state of defence, if we look at Britain's position in the world - we don't see the different historians and academics who wrote the book... there isn't the kind of significant change in the standard of all those various areas and other that we have tended to see in long periods of Tory government in the past."

He says there have been "some progressive, important, and incremental changes, but overall a disappointing performance, frankly".

"It's hard to think of any period of single-party domination by the Conservative Party that has achieved less than the party's achieved since 2010."

Infighting has been partly to blame, and it is also a party that is "unsure what it believes in" and is "confused", Sir Anthony says.

He also says "the flip flop" of policies and ideological direction has been a problem.

"There were so many opportunities that the Conservative government could have had for consistent and thoughtful policymaking, and it simply hasn't happened."

Despite the "stability" brought by Rishi Sunak and Lord Cameron, Labour is on track for "a very significant victory" on Thursday.

He notes that no party since 1832 have ever won five general elections in a row, and adds: "It is going to be a colossal Labour victory, akin to 1945."

Celebrities endorsing political parties is not a new phenomenon, but Sir Elton John publicly backing Labour today has got people thinking - do they actually help things shift? 

Max Wilson, former Labour political adviser, tells the Politics Hub With Ali Fortescue that endorsements from the famous are a "good thing".

But, he says that they are unlikely to "shift the dial" or increase the number of votes. 

"It is a nice thing to have, but I don't think it is a prerequisite to winning," he adds. 

Former Tory adviser Claire Pearsall feels the idea has "really gone out of fashion". 

"It has sort of slid away over the years... I would be more impressed if it was sort of Margaret from Burnley telling us exactly why she's voting for whichever party," she adds. 

"We're now in the realms of understanding that real people want to see people like them." 

It is the final weekend before the election, and parties have been making the most of it with leaders out campaigning.

Here's where they've been focusing their efforts today: 

Rishi Sunak has been marking Armed Forces Day by meeting veterans at an event near Catterick in North Yorkshire. 

He hailed the "duty, dedication and selfless personal sacrifice" of servicemen and women, before embarking on a community visit in Neasden in northwest London.

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey promised to reverse cuts to numbers in the armed forces as he set off on a 1,300-mile battle bus tour from John O'Groats in Scotland to Land's End in England.

The SNP's leader John Swinney has been campaigning in a couple of areas in Scotland, including Glasgow, where he told voters a Labour government is a foregone conclusion.

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has been at a veterans' coffee morning in Hampshire, where he has pledged to "lead a government of service" if elected. 

This evening, he has held a rally in Central London - where there was an endorsement from Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish -and a warning that the Tories could still win the election. 

We are now hearing from our panel about the racism row engulfing Reform UK - and the intensification of the Tories' attack.

Asked if the party should have been more on the attack from the start, Claire Pearsall , former Tory adviser, replies: "Yes."

She says it is "unsurprising" that Nigel Farage leading a party on an anti-immigration platform would be "loud, and brash, and against the Conservative Party".

"Why anybody would tip toe round saying 'we need to be nice to him' is absolutely beyond me."

She also notes that this is an election, so "surely you need to go out there and tell everybody why you're the best".

Considering doing a deal with Reform at the start of the campaign was "the wrong approach".

Max Wilson , former Labour political adviser, says the Tories got too close to Reform, with some candidates suggesting at the start of the campaign that Mr Farage could join the party after the election.

"It seems a bit mad to me that in a short campaign, you're actually entertaining the idea that your rival might actually join the party," he says.

He goes on to say that the Tories needed to hold back on Reform because of the party's supporters have, in their view, "strayed from the true faith" - but the comments that have come out over the last few days mean that the Tories can go on the attack.

Ms Pearsall  adds that Mr Farage "whether you love him or loathe him has bought in a sort of dynamism to what was a pretty dull campaign".

She says there needs to be more scrutiny on his policies as well if he wants to be the new opposition and a major political player.

As a former supporter of Boris Johnson, Mark Spencer has been asked if he thinks the former prime minister would be doing a better job than Rishi Sunak in the Conservative's election campaign. 

"I think that's unfair actually," he says, saying that voters understand the "big issues" and the "big challenges". 

He goes on to say that the nation has been "unlucky" with global events, and Rishi Sunak has started to get that disruption "under control". 

Mr Spencer has previously found himself facing criticism for saying people do not care about lockdown parties, which took place during the COVID pandemic. 

Ali asks him how he feels about the comments now. 

He says there were "huge challenges" facing the government at the time, and he's "sure mistakes were made along the way".

The first guest on tonight's edition of Politics Hub With Ali Fortescue  is Mark Spencer, the farming minister.

We start by putting to him that the Tory party seems to be intensifying its attacks on Reform UK and Nigel Farage, and put to him the question that many of his colleagues are asking privately, which is why it didn't happen sooner.

He replies: "I think the mask has slipped a bit, hasn't it, really. And we sort of see what some of these Reform candidates are like, and it must be pretty scary, actually, for people who have heard those comments, who are affected by them - they are pretty abhorrent."

He goes on to say that Rishi Sunak's response was "very powerful", talking about the impact on his daughters of them hearing him being call racist terms.

The minister dodges the question of whether racism in Reform came as a surprise to him, speaking about "how shocking it is that someone in this country judges other people by the colour of their skin".

"In this age, the fact that we're having this conversation is pretty sad," he says.

Ali puts to the minister that some in the party have said they would welcome Mr Farage in the party, and today the party is on the attack.

But he replies that many supporters of Reform "do actually share the Conservative Party's concerns about the Labour Party", adding that "the sad thing is" that voting for Reform would see Labour in power.

His message to voters is that if they want tax cuts, for example, they should vote Conservative.

Warning again that voting for Mr Farage's party would let Labour into power, he says: "I think those who are minded to vote for Reform should stop and think about that, stop and think about what they will deliver and for how long."

Our first story tonight on Politics Hub With Ali Fortescue  is Reform UK withdrawing support from three of its parliamentary candidates as the racism row engulfing the party continues to grow.

The party led by Nigel Farage is no longer supporting Edward Oakenfull, who is standing in Derbyshire Dales, Robert Lomas, a candidate in Barnsley North, and Leslie Lilley, standing in Southend East and Rochford, after alleged comments made by them emerged in the media.

It comes as party leaders from across the political spectrum have lined up to condemn Reform UK, and told Mr Farage he needs to "get a grip" of his party.
