Ricky Gervais Announces Extra Date for Brighton

Ricky Gervais has decided he likes Brighton so mcuh he has added an extra date to his Brighton tour. He will be performing not just on Tuesday 21st March but also  Wednesday 22nd March 2023

Considered one of the most influential British comedians since Charlie Chaplin, (he received the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy 2016 BAFTA/LA) Ricky Gervais  returned to the stage with ‘SuperNature’ in 2021, following the global success of his recent Netflix stand-up special ‘Humanity’, which was his first in 7 years.

  The creator and star of The Office, Extras, Derek, and the critically acclaimed hit After Life (Netflix), Ricky Gervais has won countless awards. Having enjoyed huge critical success for the outstanding After Life, his hit series The Office is also the most successful British comedy of all time, shown in more than 90 countries with seven remakes. An award-winning stand-up comedian, don’t miss your chance to see Ricky Gervais live in 2023 and will be coming to Brighton on 21st March at the Brighton Centre.

Ricky Gervais has added a second Brighton show to his  Armageddon Tour.

Due to demand, the award-winning comedian and actor will double up at Brighton Centre on November 1, the day following his previously announced show at the same venue. He also recently added a third night at the OVO Arena Wembley in London on December 13. Tickets for all dates are on sale now.

Gervais will resume the tour with the first of two performances at Woking's New Victoria Theatre on July 31. It will include a whopping nine nights at the London Palladium, as well as shows in mainland Europe and North America in the coming months.

Ricky Gervais announces more Armageddon tour dates

European stand-up tour for 2023

Ricky Gervais  has today announced seven UK dates as part of a European tour for his latest stand-up show Armageddon.

Promoters Live Nation said these are the first batch of UK dates announced, with more to come as the tour will extend throughout next year and into 2024.

The UK dates kick off in York on January 10 and take in Cardiff,  Glasgow, Bournemouth, Brighton, Newcastle and Manchester – and tickets go on sale at 10 am on Drida.

It follows the announcement Gervais will be playing three major shows in the US next year, at LA’s Hollywood Bowl on May. 6 and New York’s Radio City Music Hall on June 30 and  July 1.

Having enjoyed huge critical success for the outstanding first series of After Life, which was released on Netflix in March 2019, Ricky has since written and finished filming on a second series, which will land on Netflix in 2020. His hit series The Office is the most successful British comedy of all time, shown in more than 90 countries with seven remakes.

His last tour, Armageddon, was released on Netflix on 25 December 2023. The special faced controversy for making a joke on cancer patients but later won for 'Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television' at the 81st Golden Globe Awards.
