Public Service Announcement tour
The nu-metal gods are smiling as Rage Against The Machine announces the end of their eight-year hiatus with this brand new trek. Heading out across the country with Run The Jewels in tow, the Public Service Announcement Tour will see Zack, Tim, Tom and Brad back on form, performing politically charged hits from their extensive, multi-million selling back catalog, including the iconic rock anthem 'Killing In The Name' and many, many more.
Formed back in 1991 in California, RATM are one of the genre's most influential groups, with their highly political brand of rock fusing together elements of nu-metal, funk-rock, and rap metal to deliver cutting lyrics on the state of the world.
Alongside, Run The Jewels will lend support, debuting material from their newest release, Run The Jewels 4. Get those moshing muscles ready, this is gonna be epic!

Rage Against the Machine to embark on global reunion tour, including Detroit show in July
Two decades after last touring the U.S., the reunited Rage Against the Machine will be roaring back onto the country’s concert stages.
The band will play Detroit’s Little Caesars Arena on July 13, Rage's first appearance here since a 1999 show at the Palace of Auburn Hills. It’s part of an international run dubbed the Public Service Announcement Tour, to kick off March 26 in El Paso, Texas, and wrap up Sept. 12 in Austria, with hip-hop duo Run the Jewels as opener on all tour stops except Chicago, Ottawa and Quebec City.
All tickets for the Detroit show will go on sale at 11 a.m. Thursday. There are no presale windows.
Monday’s tour announcement follows recent news that Rage Against the Machine’s original lineup — vocalist Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, bassist Tim Commerford and drummer Brad Wilk — would be reuniting for several 2019 festival appearances, including Coachella in April.
As in 2008, when RATM reunited for a handful of festivals and European dates, the band will be touring during the heat of a presidential election season — apt timing for a group that made its name with politically contentious, revolution-themed rap-metal.

All proceeds from concerts in El Paso, Phoenix and La Cruses, N.M., “will go to immigrant rights” efforts, the band said in a statement. Activist groups in other tour markets will also benefit.
“Through ticketing, volunteering and band donations, Rage Against the Machine will be working with multiple charities and activist organizations throughout the tour,” the statement read.
Rage Against the Machine broke onto the national radar in the mid-‘90s with a hard-hitting amalgam of hip-hop, funk and metal, releasing four critically acclaimed albums before disbanding in 2000. Morello, Commerford and Brad Wilk went on to form Audioslave with Soundgarden’s Chris Cornell, and later joined rappers Chuck D and B-Real for the supergroup Prophets of Rage.

Ready to Rage? Not so fast: Band pushes back Detroit dates of 2022 tour
Rage against the machine fans will have to wait again for the group's first local concert until 1999, as the band pushes back the launch of 2022 tour..
Detroit is going to have to wait even longer to Rage Against the Machine.
The band's 2022 tour — postponed from a 2020 tour, and then rescheduled from a round of 2021 make-up dates — has been pushed back one more time.
The tour will now launch July 9 in East Troy, Wisconsin. The band's two dates at Little Caesars Arena, which were scheduled for May 22 and May 23, will be rescheduled, according to a post from the band on Thursday.
No make-up dates have been announced, but rerouted tour dates will be announced soon, the band said.
Tickets for the moved dates will be honored at the eventual concerts, and refunds are available from the point of purchase for the next 30 days.
In February 2020, pre-COVID, the explosive '90s rock outfit announced a tour that included a pair of shows at Little Caesars Arena on July 13 and 15 of that year. Those were pushed back to July 26 and 27, 2021, and then to this May.
Local fans are used to a Rage drought; the band's last area concert was a November 1999 engagement at the Palace of Auburn Hills in support of its third and final studio album, "The Battle of Los Angeles."
The band split up the following year and reunited in 2007, and remained semi-active through 2010.
The band was set to headline Coachella in April 2020, before the concert world shut down due to the pandemic. The band is not included on the 2022 Coachella lineup, which was unveiled last week.
Run the Jewels is still set to support the group on tour.
