Fort Collins Foxes baseball team returns to City Park for summer 2024 season: What to know

A Fort Collins baseball tradition is returning to City Park.

After missing the 2023 season, the Fort Collins Foxes summer baseball team is back in action for 2024, with home games beginning June 4.

Foxes games are popular summer events, with family-friendly promotions, inexpensive tickets and fans often gathering around the outfield fences.

Former longtime owner and operator Kurt Colicchio sold the Foxes baseball team to the Munsch family last year .

"Our team has been tirelessly preparing for this season, and we're eager to showcase our passion for the game and provide our fans with top-notch baseball entertainment," owner Preston Munsch said in a news release.

Here's what you need to know as the Foxes hit the diamond for those summer nights at the park:

A Fort Collins Foxes refresher

The Foxes are a collegiate wood-bat summer league baseball team based in Fort Collins. They play in the Rocky Mountain Collegiate Baseball League, which has eight teams — four in Colorado, three in Kansas and one in Nebraska.

The team has played since 2005, only missing the 2020 season due to COVID-19 social gathering restrictions and the 2023 season with ownership status in flux.

2024 Fort Collins Foxes home schedule, tickets

The Foxes' season began Friday, May 31, and features 43 games, including 16 home games at City Park and one at Future Legends Sports Complex in Windsor.

In addition to league opponents, Fort Collins will also face teams from Greeley and Boulder, an Australian team and a U.S. Military squad.

The Foxes' first home game is Tuesday, June 4, against the Western Nebraska Pioneers.

Tickets for home games are now available at the Fort Collins Foxes team website .

Single-game tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids ages 12 and younger. Season tickets are $150 for adults and $75 for kids.

All home games are at 6:05 p.m., except for one Sunday game.

• June 13-14: Liberal Bee Jays
• June 15: Denver Cougars
• June 18-19: Australian Select Colts

There will be a number of promotions and special events for Foxes home games this summer, including:

• Live music with Heavy Diamond Ring (after June 21 game)
• Military Day (before Sunday, June 30, home game against U.S. Military WarDogs)
• Retro Night
• Local Youth Baseball Night (including home run derby)
