The Prince has come out with the Tour 100T which has EXO3 technology to create the feel of an expanded sweet spot. It replaces the previous model of the Prince Tour Team racquet.
Groundstrokes Right away, I noticed the racquet was very easy to maneuver. At 10.7 ounces it’s great for a 3.5+ player looking to have the feel of a tour frame. The 16x18 string pattern and easy maneuverability helped created a lot of spin on my groundstrokes. I felt this racquet was soft on the arm and was comfortable hitting for hours with no problems (60 flex rating). I felt I was able to get a lot of racquet head speed and had confidence when really going for my shots. That said, it was little light for my taste, which made it tough to return big serves.
Volleys & Serves I thought the racquet was a little tough to maneuver around the net, which may have something to do with its almost even balance. On shots that were coming in much faster, I felt the racquet lacked some stability, but I got some extra juice when going for easy put away volleys. There was some twisting of the racquet head, but a little bit of lead tape will help that. This racquet is great for the 3.5+ that is looking for an easy racquet to maneuver and get some extra pop.
The lighter frame made it tougher to hit big flat serves; I felt it didn’t have much plow through. When hitting spin serves I thought this racquet was awesome. I was able to really go after my kick and slice serves and it was very easy to hit my spots. I had a lot of confidence going after my second serves, in particular.
Fine Points I liked the look of the racquet. The orange and black paint job made it look just like the regular tour frame. The frame has the EXO3 technology and helps expand the sweet spot. Also the beam width (21mm-22mm) felt sleek and manageable in my hand.
Overall Prince has created a very nice racquet for the 3.5+ player looking for a maneuverable frame capable of accelerating through the shot for power and spin. This racquet plays like a lot like a Babolat Aero Pro Lite and The Wilson Pro Staff 100L.

Tennis Racquet Review: Prince Tour 100T ESP
December 3rd, 2013 by Do It Tennis
filed in Tennis Product Reviews, Tennis Racquet Reviews
The Prince Tour series tennis racquets are the softest racquets that I have ever played with. They are very flexible and forgiving as I feel almost no impact on my arm when playing with the Prince Tour series racquets. The Prince Tour 100T ESP tennis racquet brings a whole new dimension to the Prince Tour series. The racquet plays just as soft as the other tour series racquet and now has an added extra spin effect. The 16x16 extreme string pattern (ESP) of this racquet really grabs the ball to produce heavier stokes with more spin.
I thought there would be an adjustment period to get used to the extreme string pattern of this racquet but I was comfortable hitting with it right away. I have played with other Prince tennis racquets that have gone to these very open string patterns and I had trouble keeping the ball from sailing long. It was like these racquets would grab the ball too much and never let go. I did not have this issue with the Tour 100T racquet as it felt comfortable and easy to play with right away. On the groundies I was able to hit my normal stroke and easy spin came off of the racquet because of the ESP technology.
The feel of the Prince Tour 100T tennis racquet is incredible. This quality made for a great racquet to play with up at the net. I felt like I could place my volleys anywhere I wanted, no matter the angle or trajectory that the ball would have to take in order to get there. I have never had so many drop volleys fall exactly where I wanted them to before playing with this racquet. This would be the perfect volley tennis racquet if it wasn’t so hard to generate pace off of it.
The story of this racquet remains the same after hitting serves with it. The control and spin that you can produce with the Tour 100T are second to none. Another advantage is the serve is usually where most arm problems are developed but because of how soft this racquet is, your arm should not feel a thing unless your technique is terribly awful.
If you cannot tell from my review of this racquet so far, I really enjoyed my playtest of the Prince Tour 100T tennis racquet. The Prince Tour 100T is the perfect racquet, if you are choosing a tennis racquet to play with that is soft and that has so much feel. The Prince Tour 100T makes you look at the game differently, especially with the modern game being based so much on power. I enjoyed playing at the net the most with this tennis racquet because I was able to use the feel of the racquet to mess around with drop shots and drop volleys. I do wish the racquet had more power because I did have trouble finishing off. The ESP technology is not for either because I know that the strings would break on me much too quickly and I already produce a lot of spin naturally. I would recommend the Prince Tour 100T racquet to 4.0 level players and above. Also if you have a history of arm problems I would seriously look into this tennis racquet.

Comfortable & Manoeuvrable, Control Racket Combines as a Spin Generating Machine.
Tour 100T introduces the element of spin to traditional control rackets, allowing even more control through higher net clearance. It has a very manoeuvrable balance, flexible feel and relatively thin beam that lend very well to control aspect, only augmented by the power of EXO3 system and spin generated by ESP string pattern. This is a racket for those who seek consistent hitting from the baseline as well as ability to mix it up.
Featuring ESP (Extreme String Pattern) delivers an aggresive string pattern designed to deliver up to 30% more spin . Result is higher net clearance for more consistency and heavier & more penetrating shots .
It also features Double Bridge system, which has dampening agent sandwiched between a double bridge that dampens vibrations from both the frames and the strings .
EXO3, a patented system that allows strings to move more freely has been a unique selling point for Prince performance rackets for a number of years. It expands the sweetspot by 54% and imparts more power on every shot.
For optimal performance, it is recommended that you use Gauge 15L/1.35mm strings with ESP rackets.

It turns out less could me more, at least when it comes to tennis rackets.
The contemporary game has gone through various stages. But if you haven’t heard, spin is in. So in late 2013 Prince decided to go extreme. Extreme spin that is.
By truncating the number of strings, Prince introduced its Extreme String Pattern (ESP) line. The idea is that a more open pattern will allow players to hit with increased spin. Most sticks have either 16 or 18 main (vertical) strings. There are generally 18-19 cross strings (horizontal) in today’s rackets. But Prince created a series of eight rackets that have either a 14x16 or 16x16 pattern.
The effect is indeed spin, spin and, yes, more spin. I have no way of judging the revolution of a tennis ball, but a simple eye test if all you really need to see that the ESP rackets are far more than a ploy for players looking to generate more gyration. Granted, it took a few minutes to get accustomed to the feel off the string bed. It felt a little loose, both figuratively and literally. But once I became acclimated, you could see the ball drop far more violently, reminiscent (in baseball parlance) of the bottom dropping out of a pitch.
Prince claims you’ll see an increase of 30 percent more spin, which sounds about right. Recently, I player-tested to of the company’s ESP frames: the Tour 98 and Tour 100T.
The Tour 98 is a frame that will cater to players on a wide spectrum because, along with excess spin, it generates controlled power, which is not something I was expecting when I first picked it up. If you like a more dampened feel, this racket is a smart choice, given that you get a clean response on off-speed hitting like drop shots and slice. It was a racket that felt an extension of your arm; in other words, there was nothing cumbersome about this stick.
If there were any shortcomings, volleys felt a little unstable. But that also comes down to personal preference. I like a stiffer racket at net, but like groundstrokes, it just takes a little court time to conform to the specs. But make no mistake, this racket generated heavy hitting, more than I have been able to produce with almost any of today’s rackets, except …
The Tour 100T ESP
On the surface, I didn’t think I was going to like it as much. It’s a little lighter than the Tour 98 (11.1 oz strung compared to 11.5 oz) and with a 16x16 string pattern, I thought it might generate the same kind of discomfort as trying to throw a wiffle ball 100 mph. There’s just not enough mass.
But I was wrong. The Tour 100 played more like the Prince EXO3 Tour 100, which is the racket I’ve used for the past two years. Groundstrokes felt solid, but with a discernible difference in spin, especially off my forehand. The Tour 100T ESP is a racket that lends itself to customization. With a decent amount of lead tape, which I placed around 3 and 9 o’clock, the racket suddenly felt more stable. The modern game is geared toward baseline bashing, with topspin the salient aspect, of course. So adding a little weight really helps hitting through the ball, the plush effect if you will.
Maneuverability was great; I especially noticed how easy it was to swing seamlessly through a serve and still produce good pop, even with a trimmed-down string pattern.
Both the Prince Tour ESP 98 and Tour 100T ESP performed as advertised. And if you’re going to give these a whirl, we encourage you to hit for 20-30 minutes to get used to the spin-friendly specs before making any judgments. And don’t be afraid to add a little weight for stability. It’s a combo that will help any player generate more juice, especially at the 4.0-4.5 level.
And the beauty of both these rackets is that you can take a full swing without fearing you’re going to be taking batting practice and hitting balls off the back of the fence.

Me likely! Strung specs are exactly the same as my customized Radical S's. My frames have a very open string pattern and generate vicious spin. It would be very cool to have a Prince came with an even more open pattern if it does not give up much control. Radical S already has a Prince head shape. I wonder if the mass is also polarized or a more traditional distribution.
I got to hit with it tonight. I have also hit with the 100T ESP. It's a nice stick. I like it better than the lighter holelier (if that's a word) version. It was very comfortable and much crispier feeling verses the 100T. I only hit with it about 20 minutes, but I believe Prince shold have released this version sooner. It also feels much more solid. I'm old school when it comes to sticks and I like low powered heavy sticks. This stick is not low powered. I would say the power level is about the same but the balls are much heavier and penetrating with this new version. If you like the 100t and want something that's more solid, this may be for you. I must say that this stick would be better for a more advanced player. You have to swing fast to make it work like it's supposed to and with the heavier weight, you need to be confident with yourself to go for it. I didn't serve, I hated the 100t on the serve I must admit, but this one may be better. I also didn't hit many volleys. The sweet pot is smaller, but still fairly generous. It's worth a demo.
I typically hit 98-100 sq in racquets with 16x19 pattern. Semi-western forehand grip with short swings with spin and a 1 handed back hand with light spin. This racquet's spec range is in my range but the 16x16 pattern is foreign to me. What can I expect from this racquet coming from the typical 16x19 and how would this it play in doubles? Thanks guys

Well, it's to advanced for me but I actually love the PJ. I like the way white is being incorporated into new sticks.

Wow, this looks very interesting. More controlled response is what I am missing off the regular version. I wonder if there are any grommet inserts we can purchase for the regular version.
Did anyone, who purchased the Tour 100 ESP receive any grommet inserts with their purchase?
TobyTopspin said: I got to hit with it tonight. This is the one that I have been waiting for! A heavy spin frame with holes instead of ports and good flex!
I played with the Tour 100T ESP racquet and liked it but the big holes just weren't for me. This stick is worth a looksee... I like the paint job as well...

It also looks like Prince has a new Warrior 100T ESP stick.. It would have the holes since it's not a PRO. I've heard it's all white. That would replace Warrior DB Team?

O3 & O PORT RACQUETS: Start main string at top of racquet (Method B) except certain AirO models. Many will require a flat washer to prevent the Start Pin from pulling through the large O ports. We have included a washer in your Maintenance Packet for this purpose. Also, to keep the string on the correct side of the O port, use the Brake Pin to lock your turntable in place while tensioning. This usually applies to the first half of the cross strings only. Some O port models require cross string to start on specific side. Refer to markings on racquet. NOTE: Add 1 foot to each measurement in the LENGTH column when using Co-Poly, Polyester or Kevlar strings. They are all very comparable frames with the Tour 100T ESP." Karly - "The Tour 100T ESP reminded me of the Babolat Pure Strike 100 racquet. Both have very similar specs that made them feel and play similarly, but the open string pattern of the Prince Tour 100T ESP helped make it a little more spin-friendly and forgiving than the Strike 100."

Technical specifications for Prince Tour 100T ESP racket. RacketLogger.
The Prince has come out with the Tour 100T which has EXO3 technology to create the feel of an expanded sweet spot. It replaces the previous model of the Prince Tour Team racquet. Groundstrokes Right away, I noticed the racquet was very easy to maneuver. At 10.7 ounces it's great for a 3.5+ player looking to have the feel of a tour frame.
Despite the Tour 100T not having Prince's ESP technology, Chris could still get loads of spin out of its more traditional string pattern. He added, "I liked this racquet with a poly the most, and I hit with several during the test. It felt really good strung with Luxilon ALU Power 16L, and I also liked it with Prince's Tour XC 16L black.

Groundstrokes. 8.5 out of 10. The first thing to mention about the Prince Textreme Tour 100T is its crisp and responsive feel. This was the first racket that Prince went back to a traditional grommet system with, following their use of their famous O-Ports which saw elongated holes for strings to move more freely.

Apr 27, 2022 • Prince Tour. Prince TeXtreme Tour 100T Racket Review. Prince brings a traditional feeling racket with a modern twist to the market with the Textreme Tour 100T. This is one of the first rackets that Prince brought out with their now iconic bright inner frame colours, and the Textreme Tour 100T definitely stands out from the crowd.
If so, it is very open; the mains are spaced wider apart than Wilson Pro Staff 95S and 100LS (both with 16X15), so Prince gets you more spin than the Wilsons. And the launch angle can be controlled. Some of us who have used Prince EXO3 Tour (16X18) felt that the launch angle was actually lower with the ESP.
The addition of Textreme made the Textreme Tour 100T more stable than the version it replaces, the Tour 100T, which was a pleasant surprise when grinding out baseline points. Chris really enjoyed this racquet off the ground and thought it was a great fit for a 4.5 level player like himself. He explained, "It was easy to swing, the sweetspot was ...
But every pro comes with a con right? 100T ESP is great for anyone with arm issues. So soft, so muted... I think that with the Tour Pro 100 ESP Prince might have struck gold, however the paintjob is plain horrid. I've played with the Blade 98S and 100T ESP, currently using Yonex Pro RD70 (16x17) so this racquet is a must demo for me!
