Motorent.nz offers premium quality Motorcycle Rentals to tour the stunning north and south islands of New Zealand. Our level of expertise is based on many years in the motorcycle retail and rental business by its directors and dedicated staff, as well as many road miles enjoying the ride.

NEW ZEALAND MOTORCYCLE RENTAL

Motorent.NZ hires motorcycles for touring the North and South Islands, with branches in Auckland & Christchurch for your convenience. Motorent.NZ is registered with the Government Agency New Zealand Transport Agency as an approved rental service provider.

The ideal time to hire a motorbike in NZ is between 1st October through 30 April, from both of our branches. Our motorcycles are available year round. 2 day hires are subject to availability and location.

Having good luggage capacity and two up capability are important considerations as well as being comfortable. All our BMW GS models will be permitted to drive on gravel roads, in conjunction with this we are introducing gravel road insurance for peace of mind when taking GS models to explore New Zealand’s extensive and magical unpaved outback on public gravel roads and 4X4 tracks. My fiance and I were on the South Island tour in March of this year. The quick summary: an awesome bucket-list trip and Paradise is a fantastic organization that has the resources / experience to make sure it's an awesome experience. We were fortunate to be led by Mike & Jo ... and had a great group of diverse riders from the US, UK and Australia. I cannot possibly explain in writing the stunning scenery that you are constantly surrounded by (and riding through) everywhere on the South Island. Mike and Jo were great tour leaders and helped to build a fun social environment with all of us strangers on the trip. Really enjoyed their company and we built up a little family during this 11 day tour. We had fantastic weather on our trip and the range of experiences is unmatched.

Hirer must have a full motorcycle license and be 25 years of age or older.

Customers can cancel their rental or tour booking at any time. Cancellations must be received in writing. If you cancel your rental or tour booking the following will apply: Cancellations received more than 60 days prior to the departure date are subject to a cancellation fee of the initial 10% deposit. Cancellations received between 59-30 days are subject to a fee of 30% of the total rental or tour cost, 30-14 days are subject to a fee of 50% of the total rental or tour costs.

Our fleet of motorcycles is made up of the latest and greatest, and great value-for-money models from manufacturers such as Triumph , BMW , Harley Davidson , Honda , Suzuki , Yamaha , and Kawasaki , to name a few. We strive to offer an exciting and interesting range to suit all tastes and preferences. Not only can you tour the best place in the world – you can tour on a model you’ve always wanted to try.

All of our rental motorbikes are excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, and we charge a fair and competitive price for them. To cater for a range of budgets and preferences, our fleet consists of a mix of the latest and greatest current year models, and also some great value-for-money 5-6 year old perennials, like Hondas ST1300A (relatively unchanged since it’s 2002 debut) and BMW’s R1200RT and GS models. Across the entire range, there are no torn seats, warts, duct tape, spray-on chrome or battle scars.

We subscribe to the theory that riding a rental motorbike should be a real treat not a chore. We don’t have “rough old cheapies” to hack around New Zealand on. It isn’t worth the aggravation, for us or for you . A clapped out motorbike broken down 500 kms away from the nearest help? No thanks, we’ll pass on that experience

Except when you have a problem, like a puncture, a breakdown, a (fingers crossed) accident. That’s when you find out there’s more to renting a motorbike than just the motorbike – that’s when you find out the quality of the company you dealing with. When you hire your bike from us, you’re hiring more than just a bike – you’re also getting our care and attention, and our guarantee that if you have a bike related problem (no matter who’s at fault) we’ll help rectify the problem within 24 hours, no matter where you are in New Zealand..

No “ Nickel & Diming ” rates

One thing that irritates us when we rent a vehicle is finding hidden additional charges that that we hadn’t counted on – a bit extra here, a bit extra there. In the U.S. this is called “ Nickel & Diming “. So we’ve been upfront and INCLUDED hard luggage/panniers in our rates on the assumption they’re a necessity.
