Great but needs improvement

Overall I have virtually no complaints. It does what it sets out to do for truckers to make things easier while on the road and in the store. That being said the app has one MAJOR issue that should be a priority in fixing. The app doesn’t seem to have full support in push notifications for showers. Several times I’m been waiting in que for the shower and while I’m doing something else I’ll get a notification that the shower expired, but no notification before that my shower was ready???? This is getting annoying. Most times it’s not an inconvenience but the times that it’s late or there’s 7+ guys ahead of me the first time I was in line it’s gets infuriating pretty quickly. LOVES please fix this issue.

Developer Response ,

Thanks for reaching out. We want to troubleshoot this crash with you, but we'll need some more information. Please email us at [email protected] and request they send on to the Love's Connect mobile app team. We'll work through how to get you up and running with the app.

Doesn’t Work

First you broke the login system on the app where my login worked just fine to where I had to sign in with my card and pin, which the app refuses to allow and tells me to call customer service as though they can fix what the developers broke. Second, you precede to brake the website as well, so now you won’t let me login to either the site or the app. Why can’t just use our email addresses and passwords as at least an option to login instead like normal people using a normal app or website providing a normal service. What the heck? I’ve already complained about this several times with you blocking my card and pin from being able to login to your broken app, then you break the website too. Now I’m running blind without knowing if I have points or shower credits. Loves, please fire these fresh out of app boot camp millennials and hire real, experienced developers to fix what they’ve broken. I can’t even use your service anymore. This has been going on for far too long. I’m very disappointed in Love’s upper management’s lack of over-site into what the tech department keeps breaking.
We appreciate your feedback, Scott. The app update introduced new pay features, which required a more secure sign in process. You may select "Sign In" from the Home screen and then tap “I don’t have a PIN,” which guides you through signing in with your email and password. If this doesn't help, we’re happy to assist with any additional issues you are encountering. You can reach our Support Team at [email protected].

Loves is going down hill 😩🤬

We ( my husband and I) have used loves for many years before the app and they have always had a great rewards program. I used to brag on how clean the laundry areas and showers were. Used to being the operative words. Now I carry rubber gloves and disinfectant cleaner in to the store with me washers are always and I do mean always dirty and stink I have had so many lives employees walk by and see me cleaning them and act like it no big deal that I am doing there job I could show you pictures of both washers and shower rooms that would cost loves a lot of customers because of filth where we pay high dollar to get clean. And fix your app issues please but the cleanliness of your stores should be first. you can now seamlessly request an ADA-compliant shower during Shower check in on the mobile app. THIS IS A LIE AND THE EMPLOYEES TELL YOU THAT THEY CANNOT PUT YOU IN A CERTAIN SHOWER ROOM AND THAT THEY ARE ALL HANDICAPPED ROOMS LIE LIE LIE
We'd be happy to assist you with any issues you're encountering. Please email our Support Team at [email protected], so we can help you get up and running with the app.

Loves travel stop #450 Very disrespectful and rude employee at that location Cashier named Kim. Please have someone one speak to her about her attitude and the way she speak to people. I personally will not stop at this location again

Concerned person

Your store is the worst. You have a few employee that do there job. The other employees call off all the time and yell at other employees. Your gm won’t do a damn thing about it. You are literally tearing family apart because your employee is way over worked that shows up and so stressed out. If I lose my family because you won’t do anything about your store there going to be problem. Your gm need to get his shit together and do his damn job. When people call off he needs to be in there helping that is part of being a gm. He need to fire people that call off every shift. He needs to hire people. He need to do his job. Can’t go above him because the person above him is his best friend and they cover for each other because they both came from polit. Do something now before things get worse and you have no employee to work at all as you are already working with like 4 people.

Keep on trucking: how love's travel stop went from one location to a global giant.

WATONGA, Okla. – Harold Wells, 73, has worked for Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores for 51 years, an entire career, after starting out here in one of the late Tom Love's earliest stores.

Al Harper, 70, is still here in Watonga, where he grew up and where he's worked for 24 years in Love's No. 1, the first of what is now nearly 650 Love's Travel Stops and convenience stores catering to casual drivers and professional truckers in 42 states. The company has about 40,000 employees.

Over those decades, Wells and Harper have demonstrated, actually lived out what Love's points to for its success: "humble beginnings, teamwork, work ethic and perseverance."

The Love family, and the family-owned corporation, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary, say those aspects of the company's culture – humble beginnings, teamwork, work ethic and perseverance – have guided its growth since Tom and Judy Love started out in 1964.

Judy Love doesn't say much to the media, but in light of Love's 60th anniversary, she told The Oklahoman:

"When Tom and I opened the first location in Watonga 60 years ago, we couldn’t imagine what this company would become. The journey has been amazing. One thing I know is that we wouldn’t be here without our loyal team members and customers. We are fortunate so I feel that we should help others. That’s why we’ve always given back to many nonprofit organizations."

Dedication and innovation keep longtime Love's employees at work for decades

Harper said a manager at Love's No. 1 recruited him to take the night shift in 2001, when shoplifters and others were causing the store trouble. It was his second career after 27 years working at a carpet mill until it closed. He said he "got it cleaned up," and has been happy working there ever since.

"I like meeting the people. I told (a supervisor), 'I'll stay here and keep the store going as long as I can,'" the 70-year-old said.

Wells started at Love's in Watonga part time in 1972, when he was working on degrees in math and physics at Southwestern State College in Weatherford, just before it was renamed Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He graduated but stayed with Love's, never looking back.

Wells is Love's manager of retail accounting systems and has lived in Edmond and worked at company headquarters – at suburban 10601 N. Pennsylvania Ave. in The Village – for decades. He said every innovation Love's has made over the years has given him something new and exciting to learn. He could have retired 10 years ago, but he's kept at it.

"It's easy to work for a company and believe in what you do," he said, when the company has a reputation like Love's.

Love's Field: A reminder that roots and reputation helped bring the big-hearted Loves big riches

Roots and reputation helped make Love's a top workplace, and helped make the Loves generous billionaires, giving to causes across the state, not just in Oklahoma City.

Love's Travel Stops had $26.5 billion in revenue last year, according to Forbes, making it the ninth-largest private company in the country. Judy Love had a net worth of $10.2 billion, landing her at No. 2 on USA Today's list of "America's richest self-made women."

Symbols abound for "humble beginnings, teamwork, work ethic and perseverance." Add benevolence, and the symbol Jenny Love Meyer keeps in her office makes sense. She's a daughter of Tom and Judy Love, and Love's chief culture officer.

The reminder of what it took to get the family and company where they are? A softball trophy, but a replica, making it a reminder of a reminder:

Love's Field, which opened this year . Love's contributed the lead gift of the $37 million that helped pay for the $48 million field and stadium, earning it naming rights. The trophy is a reproduction of the University of Oklahoma Sooners’ 2023 NCAA championship softball trophy.

“This 44,000 square-foot complex is a nod to Coach (Patty) Gasso and all those who have been instrumental to building the Oklahoma softball dynasty and hopefully an inspiration for the female student-athletes who compete in it. They are our leaders of the future,” Love Meyer said. “Love’s is humbled to stand alongside the more than 1,100 donors who graciously supported this project. The $37 million raised is the largest dollar amount privately fundraised for a female-specific facility project in college athletics history.”

Parallels between Love's No. 1 in Watonga and Love's Field in Norman

Raising Love's Field took years and "a village of dedicated people to complete," Love Meyer said. She said she sees parallels to her parents' success after their beginnings in Watonga and Gasso's success after 30 years of "building a softball powerhouse in Norman, Oklahoma."

“With little money to invest and a growing family to support, my parents used a $5,000 loan to lease an abandoned service station in Watonga, a small community 60 miles west of Oklahoma City," she said. "That initial willingness to start and grow a business required confidence, innovative thinking, hard work and perseverance, and is why Love’s is where it is today.

"Similarly, when Coach Gasso arrived in Norman in 1994, she organized practices at a local park and needed to schedule practice in between slow pitch softball leagues. And sometimes had to clean up the dugout from festivities the night before.

"She never gave up. From former OU Associate Athletic Director Marita Hynes, Coach Gasso, softball alumni, to current players, and the university, they persevered through all the challenges. That championship mindset is how success is built.”

How Love's started: Tom and Judy Love 'had two small children to feed and bills to pay'

Nobody in the Love family, or among the earliest employees, could have dreamed that Love's, first called Musket Corp., would ever become such a retail juggernaut, with locations popping up along interstate highways like spring dandelions – plus several other ventures catering to, and supporting, the trucking industry, everyday travelers, and fuel supply chain management.

“When my parents opened our first location 60 years ago, they never imagined what Love’s would grow into," Love Meyer said. "They had two small children to feed and bills to pay and had to figure out a way to do that. My dad had the idea to lease an abandoned filling station, and through hard work, finding ways to learn about the business and, as he would say, working with and hiring people smarter than him, they grew it into what it is today.

"We attribute our success to our team members and customers. They’ve helped us grow into what we are today while remaining true to the family-owned and -operated business model that we know sets us apart from competitors. We always say that if our teams take care of customers, we’ll take care of them, and we think that’s been a pretty good standard to live by.”

Love's rolls both ways, with professional drivers and casual customers

If you're a professional truck driver, Love's is a truck stop. If you're not, Love's is a convenience store with fast food. Chances are, trucker or not, you don't know what all drives the family-owned company.

Love's rolls both ways, of course. Two-thirds of fuel sales are to professional drivers, and two-thirds of in-store sales are to casual customers, the company says. But Love's business is more than gasoline, diesel, and road trip snacks and fast food.

This year, the company plans to add up to 25 new locations, update up to 40 older stores, and rebuild four, among other company expansions, said Shane Wharton, Love's president.

“Six decades ago, (the late) Tom Love opened our first service station in Watonga, Oklahoma, and almost immediately started selling household items to make stopping in more convenient for customers,” Wharton said. “Today, as the only major travel stop that is still family owned and operated, we continue with his innovative spirit by adding new products and improving the experience to give customers more reasons to stop in.”

Four generations of Loves are involved with the company, including billionaire co-founder Judy Love . But numerous others have helped build Love's since 1964, Love-Meyer said.

“While a lot has changed ... the heart of Love’s has not," she said. “We are so grateful for our incredible team members – past and present – whose contributions play a role in shaping our company.

"Growth and innovation of our product offerings, living our core values and culture daily, and dedication to clean places, friendly faces are what this company was started on in 1964. Today, we proudly stand on that foundation and know our best is still ahead of us.”

RELATED: Biggest-ever Love's Travel Stop reminds me why I love Love's but will wait awhile yet to stop in

Love's went on a buying spree in 2023, its biggest year for mergers and acquisitions.

The company acquired EZ GO from Lawton-based Carey Johnson Oil Co., including six travel stops on Oklahoma turnpikes, five on the Kansas turnpike and 11 convenience stores in Oklahoma and Nebraska.

EZ GO, like Love's, features franchise food and owns and operates Back Forty Barbecue at two locations. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Houston-based Musket Corp., owned by Love's, established European operations with headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Musket's focus is supplying Love’s Travel Stops with gasoline and diesel and managing the company’s biodiesel program. Subsidiary Musket Europe SARL extends the company's commodity supply and logistics, providing relief for the instability in global fuel supply chains.

Love's also bought OKC-based TVC Pro-Driver, a motor club and commercial driver’s license protection service. It assists drivers and fleets in reducing or dismissing fines, preventing downtime for court, and protecting federal compliance, safety and accountability scores. A subscription provides access to a network of attorneys and discounts on safety solutions, health care and more. Terms were not disclosed.

Love's continues to expand and enhance services for drivers – professional and casual.

Through awards from the Federal Highway Administration's National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Formula Program , Love's-owned Trillium Energy Solutions , which Love's acquired in 2016, plans to add to Love’s electric vehicle fast-charging network with new chargers at 29 locations this year.

For truckers driving Freightliners, which Love's said accounts for about half all trucks on the road, Freightliner ExpressPoint is now available at more than 400 Love’s truck care locations, providing light mechanical warranty repair work for Freightliner trucks through Love’s partnership with Daimler Truck North America. Love's rolled out the service in January and plans to expand it this year.

Love's plans 10 new full-service Speedco locations next to its travel stops, 50 maintenance bays and and about 60 emergency roadside vehicles. Love's has owned Speedco since 2017.

Love family philanthropy seen across Oklahoma, elsewhere

Love's donates 2% of net profits to charity and good causes.

"Many know the story of Love’s ..." Love Meyer said last year in Love's first-ever Community Impact Report. "And from those humble roots, he built a family-owned and -operated network of travel stops now approaching 700 locations.

"But it’s important to know that from the start, as he built the business, he cared about the communities where the stores were located. It is this caring, combined with a desire to give back, that is the foundation for charitable giving at Love’s. This is certainly one of the legacies my dad left with us. ... Helping others is nothing new for Love’s."

This year, in addition to the debut of Love’s Field, the Oklahoma City Zoo’s Expedition Africa and completely renovated Love's Pachyderm Building opened, the new Women’s Center at Mercy Hospital opened, and Love's Planetarium at Science Museum Oklahoma is scheduled to open.

"Our efforts are certainly not limited to Oklahoma and include building meaningful partnerships to transform communities nationwide," Love Meyer said.

Love's gave away nearly $12 million in 2022, according its 2023 Community Impact Report – 46% to youths and education, 20% to health and human services, 25% to civic and community organizations, and 9% to other needs. Recipients included:

$6.9 million to Children's Miracle Network, which has received nearly $50 million in all from Love's.

$3.5 million to Science Museum Oklahoma/Love's Planeterium.

$150,000 to Operation Homefront.

$100,000 to St. Christopher Trucking Development and Relief Fund.

$50,000 to Truckers Against Trafficking.

In addition, Love's corporate employees donated $676,000 to United Way of Central Oklahoma and 1,400 volunteer hours to various causes.

Judy Love, as matriarch, has led the way in the Love family's giving.

Recipients include Positive Tomorrows, the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, the Archdiocese of Oklahoma City, the University of Oklahoma , Oklahoma State University, Children’s Miracle Network and United Way, as well as out-of-state organizations and groups.

All that giving, and all that innovation, have kept the Loves' reputation growing, and Love's competitive and growing, for 60 years.

“As Love's has expanded its network and offerings over the past 60 years, we’ve been able to stay true to who we are and what we represent, clean places with friendly faces who work hard every day to get customers back on the road quickly," Love Meyer said. "The dedication to helping our customers every day, while innovating and striving to be better, is foundational for Love’s, from our leaders to team members across the nation.”

10 Reasons We Love Love’s Travel Stops

The Oklahoma-based gas station and convenience store is a sight for sore eyes on long car rides.

loves travel stop and

We’ve all been there. You’re five hours into an eight-hour car ride , or maybe you’ve only made it an hour from your house, but already everyone is getting restless. Someone needs to go to the bathroom. Someone spilled the box of Cheez-its, so you’re running dangerously low on snacks. The driver needs a caffeine fix, and Fido looks like he’s about ready to jump out the window. That’s when you see it—that familiar bright yellow sign topped with a beating red heart. There’s a Love’s at the next exit that’s about to solve all your road trip woes. Here are 10 reasons why we’ll always brake for a Love’s Travel Stop and why we can’t get enough of this Southern-born franchise.

Courtesy of Love's Travel Stops

1. It’s owned by a Southern family.

Tom and Judy Love started Love’s in 1964 when they spent $5,000 to lease an abandoned service station in Watonga, Oklahoma. Though Tom passed away in 2023 at the age of 85, the nationwide franchise is still privately owned and run by the Love family.

2. There’s always a Love’s right when you need one.

With about 600 travel stops in 42 states, nearly every highway in the U.S. is blessed with a Love’s. This means that no matter where you’re driving in the South—even if you’ve gotten really deep in the sticks—you’re likely to find a Love’s stocked and waiting to welcome you in.

3. Their road trip snacks are elite.

The one redeeming quality of a long car ride (other than a great playlist) are the snacks . Like any convenience store, Love’s has a huge selection of packaged snacks—chips, sunflower seeds, Little Debbie cakes, beef jerky, the whole nine yards. But the real star of the show at a Love’s is their company-branded candy line, which includes everything from gummy bears and peach rings to frosted heart pretzels and saltwater taffy.

4. They’re always open.

Driving late into the night? Love’s is open. What about those wee hours of the morning? They’re open then, too. There’s something about a 3 a.m. Coke and peanuts that just hits different.

5. It’s a great place to stretch your legs.

After long hours spent cramped in the car, your legs may be itching to move. Love’s is a great place to stop because the store is so big that you’ll have plenty to peruse while you walk the life back into your aching limbs.

6. You can have a meal there.

Hundreds of Love’s locations are paired with fast-food favorites like Arby’s, Dairy Queen, Burger King, Hardee’s, and Bojangles. But even if there’s no dining partner, Love’s has its own line of hot sandwiches and tacos (for breakfast and lunch), as well as a roller grill that features hot dogs and smoked sausages, as well as their signature Tornados taquitos in flavors like Ranchero Beef Steak and Southwestern-Style Chicken.

7. They give back to the community.

Giving generously is a huge part of the Love’s company culture. The franchise donates to nonprofits in Oklahoma and beyond, including Teach for America, Operation Homefront, and the United Way of Central Oklahoma. In addition, all locations donate a part of their budget to a local nonprofit of their choice, and Love’s participates in the Children’s Miracle Network. To date, Love’s has raised more than $33 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

8. They think of everything.

There’s a lot more to a Love’s Travel Stop than just gas and snacks. Locations across the country offer truck care, RV parking and hookups, laundry facilities, and even private showers.

9. Dogs are welcome.

Not only does Love’s accommodate humans, but it takes care of their furry friends, too. Many Love’s locations feature dog parks and pet waste station.

10. You’ll find plenty of clean restrooms.

The number one reason to stop on a road trip? Someone’s got to go. Rather than pressing your luck on a small-town gas station, count on Love’s to provide clean restrooms without a line.

The service was so friendly and professional They had a huge assortment of snacks The bathroom was extremely clean and while I was there, I overheard them announcing that the shower was ready for a customer Easy to get to from the freeway on an offramp and a variety of restaurants and food around there and they have a dog walking fenced in area

Very clean inside, cheaper than surrounding stations nearby and attached to an Arby's. Somehow I still haven't eaten at an Arby's and today is no different lol. Anywho just passing through here. All of the patrons were polite and the employee were very patient with me during my ice cream issue lol They had strawberry shortcake ice creams and the photo vs the actual ice cream inside was outrageous different and disgusting . Anyways I ended up getting a Drumstick ice cream instead.

Clean bathrooms, friendly people, plenty of space for vehicles. The gas prices are good too.

Another gas station, am I right? But wait! Love's had me falling in love, one dog run at a time. Super clean, friendly staff, plenty of food and drink choices, and discounts on gas... My new favorite spot in town for all my gas/road trip needs. Downloaded the app to get the 10 cent discount on gas. And get this, the promo now has an additional 10 cents off diesel through the end of August. That is enough to have me dropping by on my way in and out of town. They also have a huge stock of DEF for my little diesel SUV. The dog space is a road trip need traveling with the pups. They have a large dog run and a small dog side. Can't stress enough how great this is to not have to drag my dog over to the planters at other gas stations. Lot's of fun snacks inside, my favorite being anything from Snak Club. I do not know anything about a trucker's life, but seems to have lots of options for truckers as well. There is an Arby's attached, always great customer service there. The bathrooms are pristine, being local I don't normally need to use the facilities but I have gone in a time or two to snoop around for the yelp. Overall, this is my first choice for fueling up and grabbing snacks in town. Oh yah, did I mention super easy on/off the freeway? And right across the street from Grocery Outlet and Dutch Bros-

The gas price was great at $3.99 a gallon compared to $4.79 in my area. The restrooms were exceptionally clean!!! The store was great. And I loved that they have Arby's 2 for $7 special though they do not have the full menu as advertised on TV. Never stopped here before. Will definitely again when traveling Hwy 5.

Love my Love's. Another great location. It is easily accessible on and off the I-5. Offers an excellent coffee selection, fresh grind coffee bean machines, well stocked, plenty of gasoline pumps, great new location and excellent customer service.

loves travel stop and

This gas station/truck stop/Arby's/shopping center is something special! The food options they have are immense, the restrooms are sooo clean and large and there are so many gas pumps, you're not likely to ever be waiting for one of those. One star is getting taken off because they do charge for wifi. Kind of a huge bummer, especially since there are places to eat here and often those have free wifi if they were on their own. I did have to pay like $3.99 or so for wifi for a meeting I planned to take while I was there. The frustrating thing was the meeting got canceled after I had already paid for the wifi, so I ended up having like 6 hours of wifi for nothing and paid money for. This would seriously be the most perfect stop if it wasn't for this!

Brand new loves couldn't be happier. Great food fast service happy people very clean. If you're traveling with a pet, they have a dog park separated for large dogs and small dogs. That is just lovely our dogs enjoy the chance to run around and stretch your legs and we enjoyed not being worried that they would run away and get hurt Arby's is there any can get a quick hot lunch they also have salads, fruit etc. it's well worth a stop in and easy on and off the freeway

OKCPS, Love's Travel Stops pull PrideFest involvement over 'Free Palestine' messaging

O n Monday, Oklahoma City Public Schools announced the district will not participate in the Oklahoma PrideFest and Parade 2024 over organizers' embrace of the Free Palestine stance.

Nicole McAfee, executive director of the LGBTQ+ advocacy group Freedom Oklahoma, expressed dismay over the district's decision.

"You can't support pride without supporting a free Palestine because our liberation is bound together," she shared.

The district contended the "Free Palestine" messaging took away from the "original intent" of the parade.

OKCPS shared the following message with staff regarding its choice:

OKCPS has proudly participated in the Oklahoma City Pride Parade since 2017. Recently, we became aware that the 2024 organizers have aligned with the Soft Hand organization in support of their Free Palestine stance. We believe that the Oklahoma Pride Alliance’s recent stance with Free Palestine takes away from our original intent of participating in the parade and other Pride activities. After careful consideration, OKCPS has decided to withdraw our participation from this year’s parade. While we will not be part of this year’s parade, OKCPS celebrates our LGBTQ+ students, families and staff, and we remain committed to supporting LGBTQ+ students and staff members through other initiatives and partnerships that reflect our core values and contribute to a healthy, vibrant community. Thank you for your continued support.

However, McAfee argued, "The statement really read as empty words that either purposefully misinterpret the roots of pride and what pride is, or, as a political choice to try to play both sides."

Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores similarly pulled its support of the event and questioned why the Oklahoma Pride Alliance brought "political-type support" into the mix.

The gas station chain shared the following statement with FOX 25:

Yes, Love’s made the decision last week to withdraw our participation from this year’s parade when we discovered a call to action on the Oklahoma Pride Alliance website for attendees to march with the Soft Hand organization in support of their Free Palestine stance. This decision was not made lightly as we have sponsored the Oklahoma Pride Alliance’s PrideFest for the past five years. We reached out directly to Oklahoma Pride Alliance to better understand their reasoning for soliciting political-type support in the event. While Love’s 100% believes that everyone has the right to express their political views, the conflict regarding the direction of the 2024 Oklahoma PrideFest Parade raised concerns around the potential risk to our employees’ safety and the alignment with our culture of respecting and taking care of others.

According to McAfee, "The lives of queer and trans students have been politicized. And so, you cannot show up in support and solidarity without engaging in politics."

Oklahoma Pride Alliance Kylan Durant told FOX 25 the organization's board decided to remove the social media post supporting the Free Palestine.

He explained the following in a statement:

While we are an inclusive group and support the rights of all marginalized communities, the Oklahoma Pride Alliance has no formal affiliation with Soft Hand. Our focus and the event’s focus remain on our core mission — to foster a sense of community and belonging for Oklahoma's 2SLGBTQIA+ individuals. We are proud of the continued growth we are experiencing and the support we are receiving from community leaders and look forward to the opportunity PrideFest 2024 presents to connect, celebrate and be seen in a safe and explicitly affirming environment. Our board made a decision to remove an Oklahoma Pride Alliance social media post made earlier this month that addressed the humanitarian crisis taking place in Palestine. We received some questions about the post and the board agreed the best decision for the event was to remove it.

On the other hand, other sponsors haven't budged. The alliance's website lists Paycom, the OKC Zoo, Chesapeake Energy, Pratt & Whitney, and more as supporters.

"To pretend that it is shocking that pride movements are in solidarity with Palestine feels very much like someone who hasn't been paying attention," added McAfee.

She also noted the following in a statement:

At a time when 2SLGBTQ+ students are disproportionately targeted by those in power, it is a telling choice by the OKCPS Board to remove shows of support for those youth and their broader communities. We may call it a parade, but when folks gather together Sunday June 30 to march through the streets of Oklahoma City, the intention of that space has always been and will always be to honor the legacy of Pride as a riot, a radical demand for freedom, and a commitment to building that freedom together. To pretend that the spirit of Pride celebrations is not rooted in the fight for collective liberation is to willfully misunderstand the 2SLGBTQ+ movement and the ongoing work to secure a future where we all have the safety to thrive. That future is not possible without a Free Palestine.

The event will take place on Jun. 30.
