KTO announces new selection of ‘Outstanding Incentive Tour Programs’
19 programs selected as winners of ‘Korea Outstanding Incentive Tour Program’ Competition.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (Minister Park Bo-Gyun) and the Korea Tourism Organization (Acting President Shin Sang-Yong) selected the winners of the ‘Korea Outstanding Incentive Tour Program Competition’ and held an Awards Ceremony on July 20th at Coex in Seoul.
The competition was held in June with the purpose of selecting and fostering excellent incentive tour programs. A total of 55 entries were submitted, and the final 19 were selected through a 2-part screening process. The selected programs were chosen for their ability to reflect the latest trends, including K-contents, K-pop and beauty, ESG tourism, and wellness tourism. The selected finalists offer new incentive tour programs which are set apart from those offered in the past.
KTO will provide a reward of 10 million won to the winning entries, support for up to five Fam Tours for program promotion and evaluation, and various support for marketing and commercialization of the programs.
Meanwhile, the Awards Ceremony held at COEX in Seoul on July 20th was attended by Seo Young-Choong, Executive Vice President of the International Tourism Division of KTO, and about 60 representatives from the finalist travel agencies.
Moon Sang-Ho, Director of the MICE Marketing Team at KTO, said, “Inbound incentive groups to Korea in the future will have the joy of selecting from a wide variety of new programs selected through this competition.” He continued, “We will continue to strive to make Korea a top incentive travel destination through various promotional activities.”
