Kasabian have announced an epic homecoming gig for 2024.

The Leicester rockers - comprised of Serge Pizzorno , Chris Edwards , Ian Matthews and Tim Carter - will return to their hometown for a huge outdoor show at Victoria Park on 6th July , subject to license.

Support comes on the night from special guests Kaiser Chiefs , with more acts still to be announced.

The band will play a career-spanning set and support their forthcoming album Happenings - also set for release next summer, marking their first gig at the park in just under a decade.

Tickets go on general sale here from Friday 8th December at 9.30am.

It’s been ten years since Kasabian last played Victoria Park and this forthcoming show will be even better with an explosive set list that takes in their remarkable career. Kasabian released their No. 1 album The Alchemist’s Euphoria last summer. A new album, Happenings, will be released next summer. Here’s everything you need to know about Kasabian’s tour

Kasabian will be playing seven comparably tiny uk shows next month..

As well as shows in Ireland, Kasabian will be headlining seven tiny UK shows next month, including three at London’s O2 Forum.

The band will be warming up for their headline appearances at Reading and Leeds Festival , and Scotland’s newest weekender, TRNSMT .

Kasabian are gearing up to release their sixth studio album, For Crying Out Loud , on the 28 April 2017 – and you can improve your chances of catching the live shows by preordering the album here , this’ll then give you access to an exclusive presale from 19:00 on Tuesday 21 March.

“I decided to give myself six weeks to write an album like they used to do back in the day and that became really inspiring,” vocalist Serge Pizzorno recalls, having written and produced the record.

“I made sure there was no fat on anything, it was going to be classic songs, no self-indulgence, nothing was going on there that shouldn’t. I’d heard Berry Gordy had said if you’ve not got them in the first four bars then you’re finished, so I went in with this old school attitude of song-writing.”

To mark the occasion, Kasabian have revealed the lead single, You’re In Love With A Psycho .

“It’s a weird anthem for everyone,” Serge recently told Radio X. “You’ve either been in love with one or you are one. It sort of celebrates that. You know it’s not sort of… dark.”

How does the presale work?

You can get hold of tickets by preordering their new album,  For Crying Out Loud , now, this will then give you access to an exclusive presale from 19:00 on Tuesday 21 March 2017. This will be the quickest way of guaranteeing your tickets. For more details on this head here .

How much are tickets?

Tickets are £45 for regional shows, and £49.50 for the London dates. This is the face value cost, and is as ever subject to change. A service charge will also be added on each purchase.

Kasabian tickets are paperless. What does that mean?

When you book for a show, the card you use to pay will then act as your tickets to get you in on the night. It’s all very clever – your card details are just transferred securely onto the scanning system at the venue, so on the night they just swipe your card, check it against your ID to make sure you are who you say you are, then you’re in. There will be no paper tickets through the post and no going to the box office to pick your tickets up.

One thing to remember – your whole group will need to arrive together. As the cardholder, you’re the important one! Your guests will need to arrive with you to get in. Virtual credit cards won’t work as there’s nothing to scan on the night – you’ll need to use a physical card that you can take along with you.

Travis announce December 2024 UK tour

Including a huge homecoming Glasgow show

Scottish indie icons Travis have lined up a major headline UK tour for December 2024.

Travis’ Raze The Bar Tour opens at Leeds O2 Academy on Thursday 5th December and concludes with a massive homecoming show at Glasgow OVO Hydro four days before Christmas.

The 12-date tour also visits Manchester, Liverpool, Wolverhampton, Nottingham, Margate, London, Bristol, Eastbourne, Sheffield and Newcastle.

Tickets go on sale from Absolute Radio Tickets at 9am on Friday 14th June.

Travis’ tour follows the Friday 12th July release of their 10th studio album ‘L.A. Times’, which boasts the Absolute Radio playlisted anthem ‘Gaslight’ and ‘ Raze The Bar ’, featuring guest vocals from Coldplay’s Chris Martin and The Killers’ ‘Brandon Flowers.’

The band have also just premiered the video for new single ‘Bus’ about Fran Healy ’s formative years in Glasgow.

The track comes accompanied by a video, shot in Scotland, directed by Fran and featuring a fleeting guest appearance from friend of the band Adam Buxton.

“L.A. Times is our most personal album since The Man Who,” says Fran Healy. “There was a lot of big stuff to write about back then, the tectonic plates had shifted in my life. I was 22 when I was writing those songs. They were my therapy. Over 20 years later and the plates have shifted again. There’s a lot to talk about.”

Pet Shop Boys are heading on a five-date UK arena tour in June 2024, in a continuation of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe's 'Dreamworld – The Greatest Hits Live' tour. The synth-pop legends began the string of shows in Glasgow on Tuesday 4th June 2024, and are heading through Nottingham, Birmingham, Manchester and Belfast before finishing the tour at the Isle of Wight Festival on Saturday 22nd June. Foo Fighters - 2024

Foo Fighters will be heading on their highly anticipated UK tour in June 2024. Dates for the shows take place from Thursday 13th June - Thursday 27th, with the tour being the band's first in the UK since the untimely death of drummer Taylor Hawkins , which led to them cancelling their UK stadium tour in June and July 2022. With Josh Freese recruited as their new drummer, Foo Fighters made their live return in May 2023. Foo Fighters will play in Manchester, Glasgow, London, Cardiff and Birmingham, with an extra date added to Manchester due to phenomenal demand, as well as extra tickets .

Download Festival - 2024

The 21st edition of Download Festival has been 'reborn and recharged' as DLXXI, taking place at its spiritual home of Donington Park, Leicestershire, from Friday 14th to Sunday 16th June 2024. The first wave of bands playing were announced on Tuesday 7th November, with the headliners being revealed as Queens of the Stone Age, Fall Out Boy and Avenged Sevenfold, as well as over 80 more bands playing over the weekend. With a fresh wave of artists announced in January , names such as Black Stone Cherry, Tom Morello, The Struts, Mr Bungle, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Enter Shikari, Electric Callboy and Of Mice & Men also join the bill. Madness - 2024

Just as Madness were about to embark on their 'C'est La Vie' UK arena tour in November 2023, and as their 13th album 'Theatre of the Absurd Presents C'est La Vie' hit the Number 1 spot , the chart-conquering band announced that they would be hitting the road again in the summer of 2024. The Killers - 2024

Las Vegas indie rock heroes The Killers are celebrating their 20th anniversary with a career-spanning 20-song album titled 'Rebel Diamonds', which was released on Friday 8th December 2023. The celebratory release is being followed by a tour in 2024 - with numerous dates across the UK and Ireland announced. Opening with two nights at Dublin 3Arena in mid-June 2024, The Killers then come to the UK for multiple dates at Manchester Co-Op Live, Glasgow OVO Hydro and London's The O2 throughout June and July. On top of their slot at American Express presents BST Hyde Park in the summer of 2024, with incredible support acts announced, Kings Of Leon have also added an extra six UK tour dates . Brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill open their arena tour at Leeds First Direct Arena on Thursday 20th June 2024, and they visit Birmingham, Glasgow and Nottingham before concluding at Manchester Co-op Live on Wednesday 10th July 2024 - with their performance at BST Hyde Park sandwiched in the middle on Sunday 30th June. Isle of Wight Festival - 2024

The historic Isle of Wight Festival - which stretches back more than half-a-century - returns in 2024, from Thursday 20th – Sunday 23rd June. The festival will return to Seaclose Park, Newport, with headliners including electronic rock gods The Prodigy (Friday), synth-pop legends Pet Shop Boys (Saturday), and the weekend closing with pop punk heroes Green Day. Green Day - 2024

Green Day confirmed that they will be heading on tour in the UK & Europe in 2024, following the release of their upcoming album 'Saviors'. The band, made up of Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool announced in October 2023 that their 14th studio album 'Saviors' will be released on Friday 19th January 2024. Manic Street Preachers and Suede - 2024

Manic Street Preachers and Suede are heading on a co-headline tour in June and July 2024. Following adding an extra concert to the line-up, the two legendary bands will start the string of shows at Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on Friday 28th June 2024, playing in Dublin, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Manchester and Leeds, before wrapping in London on Thursday 18th July. The two bands will be taking turns closing the shows, with Suede doing the honours in London, Leeds and Dublin, and Manics closing in Llangollen, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Manchester. Buy tickets here

AC/DC - 2024

Rumours were rife last year that AC/DC were 'looking at 2024 tour dates' to coincide with their 50th anniversary, and after the rock legends' live return at October 2023's Power Trip festival in California, it was confirmed that they will in fact perform two colossal concerts at London's Wembley Stadium this summer. As part of 'The Power Up Tour' through Europe, named after the band's chart-topping 2020 album 'PWR UP', the shows are scheduled to take place on Wednesday 3rd and Sunday 7th July 2024, with their new line-up . The two huge Wembley shows will mark eight years since AC/DC have performed live in the UK. Kasabian - 2024

Although it's not a tour, one of the UK's best and biggest bands, Kasabian, will be heading to their hometown of Leicester to play a massive headline show at Victoria Park on 6th July 2024. It's been 10 years since the band last played Victoria Park, with the upcoming show promising 'an explosive set list that takes in their remarkable career'. 2024 will prove a big year for the group, with them also releasing their eighth studio album 'Happenings'. On the huge upcoming show, Kasabian - consisting of Serge Pizzorno, bassist Chris Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter - said: "We are truly honoured to be playing Victoria Park in our beloved hometown, with all our people for summer solstice two. We cannot wait to get out there and play the biggest party of the summer with you all. See you in the mosh pit."

Catfish and the Bottlemen

Although it's not a complete UK tour, 'Cocoon' legends Catfish and the Bottlemen will be performing a massive outdoor show in Liverpool's stunning Sefton Park this summer. Taking place on 11th July 2024, the show will serve as the band's biggest headline show of their career to date - with the site holding a whopping 32,000 capacity.

Stevie Nicks - 2024

Fleetwood Mac icon Stevie Nicks will headline American Express presents BST Hyde Park this summer, topping the bill at the London festival on Friday 12th July 2024. Not only that, but Stevie will be playing two arena shows in the UK prior to the festival, taking place in Glasgow on Saturday 6th July and Manchester on Tuesday 9th July. Buy tickets here

Scottish-American rockers Garbage will play five headline shows in the UK in 2024, serving as their first headline tour here in five years. As well as their show at Glasgow's TRNSMT Festival on Friday 12th July 2024, Garbage will play their own headline concerts in Edinburgh, Bridlington, Wolverhampton and Manchester before concluding with a huge gig at London's Wembley OVO Arena on Saturday 20th July. Kendal Calling - 2024

Kendal Calling returns for another year, following another triumphant year in the hallowed fields of Lowther Deer Park in 2023. Boardmasters - 2024

Beachside festival Boardmasters, inspired by freedom, adventure and creativity of surfing and music, returns from 7th-11th August 2024, at its usual location of Newquay, Cornwall. Sex Pistols and Frank Carter

Punk legends the Sex Pistols will be joining forces with punk vocalist Frank Carter, performing two very special intimate concerts this summer - minus John Lydon - on 13th and 14th August 2024. Reading & Leeds Festival - 2024

The world-renowned Reading & Leeds Festivals will be returning in 2024, from Wednesday 21st - Sunday 25th August. Elvis Costello and Steve Nieve - 2024

Elvis Costello and long-time collaborator Steve Nieve will head on an 11-date UK tour , starting on Thursday 5th September 2024 at Glasgow Theatre Royal. 'Don't You Want Me' legends The Human League play eight huge shows in 2024, heading on their 'Generations' tour . Snow Patrol - 2025

In support of their eighth studio album 'The Forest Is The Path', Snow Patrol will head on an arena tour in February 2025, through the UK & Ireland. The album, set for release in September 2024, will be their first in six years, with the eight-date tour starting at London's The O2 on Saturday 15th February 2025, and concluding at Belfast SSE Arena on Thursday 27th. Glastonbury festival 2024: Who are the rumoured secret acts?

Glastonbury  organisers have announced the full 2024 line-up for the annual extravaganza later this month.

The 2024 headliners have already been announced  for the world’s largest greenfield music and performing arts  festival  – and centrepiece of the UK festival scene every summer.

This year’s event takes place between Wednesday June 26 and Sunday June 30 at  Worthy Farm  in Pilton, Somerset.

Some of the newly announced acts include Squeeze, who will get the festival off to a flying start at noon on Friday June 28 on the  Pyramid stage .

Other new names are Femi Kuti, Seasick Steve, Jamie Webster, the Staves, the Skatalites, Jalen Ngonda, the  Vaccines ,  Johnny Flynn , Soft Play, Rachel Chinouriri and the Zutons.

On Friday Due Lipas is the headline act on the Pyramid Stage, with performances earlier in the evening from PJ Harvey and LCD Soundsystem.

On Saturday Coldplay are the headline act while on Sunday SZA will close the show.

Disclosure, The Streets, Shania Twain and Bombay Bicycle Club will also be performing over the course of the weekend.

But, every year, Worthy Farm pulls performances out of the bag with secret acts that had not previously been released – and 2024 will not be any different.

There are still acts to be announced on the official line up. One of these is on Wednesday June 26 on the Greenpeace Stage at 12pm and is one of the first sets of the festival. The others are:

• Friday June 28: Wishing Well 8.45pm (also the Transgressive Takeover at 11pm at the same location is still TBA)
• Friday June 28: Firmly Rooted, 1am
• Saturday June 29: BBC Introducing Stage, 4.30pm

According to NME , William Hill bookmakers have suspended betting on the band "after seeing some telling bets". Glastonbury kicks off a week before the release of their new album, Happenings. Coincidence?

The Killers

The band famous for Mr Brightside are next on the list as favourites to fill one of those TBA slots. Brandon Flowers and his crew are touring their new greatest hits collection, Rebel Diamonds, in the UK this June – they play Glasgow's Ovo Hydro on Wednesday June 26 and their next show is at the O2 in London on Thursday July 4, but they have nothing in the diary for Glastonbury weekend.

Kings of Leon

Sex on Fire favourites Kings of Leon have made the rumour list based on their diary. The band are playing on Sunday June 30 over Glastonbury weekend in their British Summer Time show in Hyde Park, so in theory they could squeeze in a Worthy Farm appearance over the long weekend.

This is one of the more unlikely rumours but they have still made the list. The band released their Saviors album at the beginning of the year, which meant they were tipped to be a secret act at Glastonbury; however, they are slated to play at the Isle of Wight Festival later this month which has been dubbed as a "festival exclusive".

Liam Gallagher

The former Oasis frontman has been performing in the capital this week and will continues his UK dates in June at which he'll be playing the whole of Oasis’s debut album, Definitely Maybe, to mark the record's 30th anniversary.

This led to fans believing he was destined to perform at Worthy Farm but the man himself has denied that he's playing the festival on social media site X, when asked by a fan.

Vampire Weekend

William Hill are currently offering 8/1 odds  on Ezra Koenig and bandmates to appear at Glastonbury.

The idea seems unlikely given they are midway through a US tour this summer in support of their album Only God Was Above Us. But their last gig before the Worthy weekend is in Bonner, Montana on June 23 with their next one, at Red Rocks in Colorado on July 19, leaving enough time for them to jet to and from the UK to perform.

This rumour is not that far fetched given where the former bandmates will be over the weekend. Jamie xx is headlining Woodies on Friday night while Romy is playing a DJ set on Friday at the Levels area. Could a reunion be on the cards?

Weezer are performing in the UK with the Smashing Pumpkins across June. Their final show will be at Cardiff Castle on June 14 before they jet off to North America in September.

Glastonbury Festival is right around the corner with thousands of music fans set to make the pilgrimage to Worthy Farm for a weekend of live music.

Those that secured tickets will be treated to headline sets from the likes of Dua Lipa , Coldplay , and SZA , with Shania Twain performing in the traditional Sunday Legends slot.

And while the weather looks set to be ‘wetter than average’ , music lovers will be looking forward to a weekend of entertainment from hundreds of varied artists.

Among this year’s fun is the alleged promise of secret acts, with huge names popping up every year to dazzle lucky fans.

Last year saw the Foo Fighters pop in to play a few songs, with past secret sets including the likes of Lady Gaga, Pulp, George Ezra, Mumford and Sons, and Radiohead’s Thom Yorke.

Rumours are already swirling as to who could pop up this year, with these bands and artists at the forefront of everyone’s minds.

Kasabian are the most hotly tipped band to be performing a secret set at this year’s Glasto – so much so that, according to NME , William Hill has suspended betting on the band ‘after seeing some telling bets.’

The Leicester rockers have played the iconic festival five times, headlining the Pyramid Stage for the first time in 2014.

The festival kicks off a week before the release of their latest studio album, Happenings, leading many to believe they may pop in to play a few new tracks.

The Killers

When it comes to predicting Glasto secret sets, many fans look at tour schedules and where telling gaps appear around June.

The Killers , coincidentally, are touring their new greatest hits release Rebel Diamonds in the UK – with a huge gap between shows in Glasgow and London which coincides with Glastonbury.

Fronted by Brandon Flowers , the band have hit the festival four times, headlining in 2019 which broke records as the loudest set of the event’s history at 106 decibels.

Should they be one of the secret set at this year’s event, it wouldn’t be the first time after the band surprised fans with a performance on the John Peel stage in 2017.

Musicians simply being in the UK during June is enough to spark Glastonbury rumours – just ask Kings Of Leon .

The quartet are on our shores on Sunday, June 30 for their British Summer Time show, with fans reckoning they could fit in a cheeky Worthy Farm appearance while here.

It has been 20 years since the Sex On Fire rockers first performed at Glasto, with their last set at the festival taking place in 2008 when they headlined.

Green Day seems an unlikely band to perform at this year’s Glastonbury, given their set to rock Isle of Wight this month as a ‘festival exclusive’.

However, many fans of the punk band pointed out they released their brand new album Saviors earlier this year – what better time to play the new tracks?

The trio – fronted by Billie Joe Armstrong – have never played the legendary UK festival, so it would also be their debut should it happen.

The XX surprising fans with a comeback set at Glastonbury seems the most likely given the evidence.

Drummer and keyboard player Jamie XX is headlining the Woodies stage on Friday night, while vocalist and guitarist Romy Madley Croft is playing a DJ set on the same day at the Levels area.

Despite being quiet over recent years, Romy did confirm in January that the band had been in the studio recording – so this year’s Glasto could be the perfect time to debut it.

The XX has played the festival twice – firstly in 2010, and then again in 2017.

Paul will bring his acclaimed Got Back Tour to South America later this year!

Fulfilling his promise to 'get back', Paul will return to Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Peru. His first show of 2024 will take place on 1st October in Montevideo.

With songs like ‘Hey Jude’, ‘Live and Let Die’, ‘Band on the Run’,  ‘Let It Be’ and so many more, the Paul McCartney live experience is everything any music lover could ever want from a rock show: hours of the greatest moments from the last 60 years of music – dozens of songs from Paul’s solo, Wings and of course Beatles catalogues that have formed the soundtracks of our lives.

Paul will return for his first live performance in Montevideo in ten years. He has previously performed in Montevideo twice (2012, 2014) and this will be his third time at Estadio Centenario. This will mark his first live performances in Bueno Aires in five years - in 2019 he played at Campo Argentino de Polo. For fans in Córdoba the wait has been even longer as it has been eight years since Paul visited the city. Paul played his first solo show in Argentina in 1993 and has played eight shows there since. Santiago will see him return after five years - he has previously performed in the city four times, starting in 1993. And lastly, Paul will return to Lima after ten years, and this will mark his third time performing in Peru and his second visit to the Estadio Nacional.

Paul launched his Got Back tour in 2022, completing 16 huge shows across the US before performing what the British Times newspaper described as the “ best gig ever ” with his history-making set at Glastonbury in June 2022. In 2023 Paul performed 18 incredible shows as the Got Back tour rocked through Australia, Mexico and Brazil.

Culture Club have announced details of a 2024 tour across the UK and Ireland, set to celebrate their first two studio albums. Find ticket details below.

The upcoming gigs will take place across December, and see Boy George and co. hit the stage in celebration of their breakout LPs: ‘Kissing To Be Clever’ and ‘Colour By Numbers’.

The former arrived in the latter half of 1982 and put the band on the map with the breakthrough hit single, ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’, which topped the UK singles Charts.

The latter arrived the following year and remains one of the band’s most commercially successful releases to date – particularly due to its inclusion of the hit track ‘Karma Chameleon’.

At the forthcoming live shows, Culture Club will not only play the albums in full, but they’ll also break out the original tracklists in chronological order. Support will come from Heaven 17 and Tony Hadley, with the latter using the slot to break out a greatest hits set.

The dates kick off with an opening night in Dublin, held at the 3Arena on December 3. The run continues two days later with a show at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on December 5.

From there, dates at Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena and Cardiff’s Utilita Arena are lined up for December 6, 7 and 9 respectively, followed by stops in Nottingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Finally, the 10-show tour will culminate in London, with a final show lined up for The O2 on December 15.

“I am calling this ‘The Zero Arguments Tour’ because we are performing our first two albums ‘Kissing To Be Clever’ and ‘Colour By Numbers’ exactly as they were made and in exact order,” Boy George said of the upcoming dates.

“I love the idea of this because some of these songs are fan favourites and have never been performed. I think it will be really special for the fans.”

The news of the forthcoming tour also comes following Boy George turning heads after releasing his single ‘Religion’ back in February .

Not only did the single turn heads for the music, it also stirred up a conversation for the artwork looking remarkably similar to that of Kylie Minogue’s ‘Tension’ album.

“I’m recycling everything. It’s all the rage,” he wrote on social media, addressing comments about the similarities. “Even fashion is catching on?”

In another tweet, he also wrote that he was an “utter genius” for sharing similar artwork, and implied that one user frustrated at the similarities was “pathetic.”
