Luke Bryan to bring farm tour back to West Michigan

MONTEREY TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Country superstar Luke Bryan will bring his annual farm tour back to West Michigan.

Bryan broke the news Monday on his website , listing a six-show tour for September, including a stop on Sept. 16 at the John Schaendorf Dairy Farm northwest of Hopkins. Tickets go on sale Tuesday for members of Bryan’s “Nut House” fan club.

Ticket prices were not listed, but VIP passes — which include early entry and access to a private bar and restroom facility — cost $209.

Bryan is no stranger to West Michigan. He performed in Brooklyn last weekend as part of the 10th annual Faster Horses Festival . His farm tour performed at Stafford Farms in Richland in 2019. Last year, the farm tour stopped at the Kubiak Family Farm in Fowlerville in mid-Michigan.

Kameron Marlow, Chayce Beckham and Peach Pickers are expected to open for Bryan. The parking area at John Schaendorf Dairy Farm is expected to open at 2 p.m. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and performances are expected to start at 6 p.m.

Bryan is one of the most popular country artists of the past decade. The Georgia native first found success as a songwriter, including Travis Tritt’s “My Honky Tonk History” and Billy Currington’s “Good Directions.”

He broke out as a performer in 2007 with his first hit single, “All My Friends Say.” To date, he has released seven studio albums and has won a slew of country music awards. In 2018, he joined the cast of American Idol as a judge.

Luke Bryan Posts Details About Added Stop On His Star-Studded 'Farm Tour'

Luke Bryan announced an added tour stop on his highly-anticipated annual “Farm Tour,” kicking off this September. The award-winning country megastar said on Monday (July 17) that he’s slated to perform in Allegan, Michigan on September 16. Bryan’s fan club members will get first access to the tickets on Tuesday (July 18) at 10 a.m. local time, per his announcement .

Bryan, who is also performing on his “Country On Tour” through October, shared the lineup for his 14th annual “Farm Tour” last month: Kameron Marlowe , Chayce Beckham , the Peach Pickers — Ben Hayslip , Dallas Davidson and Rhett Akins — and DJ Rock . See the full list of “Farm Tour” dates here:

In early June (2023) I made a prediction that Luke Bryan was going to bring his Farm Tour to Michigan, despite the fact that no show in the Mitten state had been announced (not including Faster Horses in this).

His website had a literal blank space waiting to be filled with a show on presumably September 16th, a free Saturday night in his lineup.

It turns out I was right...

The show won't be in Folwerville at Kubiak Family Farms like it has been in years past. This summer, the Farm Tour is coming to Allega, Michigan, and taking over John Schaendorf Dairy Farm on Saturday, September 16th.

Luke's die-hard fans part of "the Nut House" will have early access to purchase tickets, otherwise, general admission tickets will go on sale at a later date.

Farm Tour History

Luke Bryan has been embarking on his Farm Tour for quite some time now.  According to Red Light Management, they began all the way back in 2009 .

And since then, they've been able to grant " 78 college scholarships to students from farming families to their local college or university near the tour stops, " which is supremely awesome.

There are NO ATM machines inside the concert area.

ANIMALS We accommodate service animals, no pets allowed.

BACKPACK No backpacks allowed. Please leave them in your car.

FOOD & BEVERAGES Sorry, NO outside food, beverages (except a factory sealed bottle of water), or coolers are allowed. However, a wide selection of your favorite foods and beverages including beer are available inside the concert area. 1 Factory sealed plastic bottle of water per person is allowed (16.9oz)

FIRST AID EMT stations will be present on the festival grounds.

GATES Please keep in mind that long lines form at the gates prior to showtime. We encourage you to arrive early to avoid the rush. For the safety of all of our patrons there will be a search conducted at the front gate.

GLASS Absolutely no glass allowed in the parking areas. Any found will be confiscated.

IS MY POCKET KNIFE CONSIDERED A WEAPON? Yes. Leave it in your car. Same goes for box cutters, mace, and pepper spray. Any weapons will be confiscated for disposal and will not be returned.

HANDICAPPED State permit is required. A general admission seating area is provided for persons in wheelchairs and up to three companions. This area fills quickly and is available on a first-come-first-serve basis.

VIDEO CAMERAS Video cameras or any recording devices are strictly prohibited. Still cameras are welcome. No GoPros, laptops, tablets, or cameras with detachable lenses.

RE-ENTRY LINES No Re-entry.

There are no refunds for Farm Tour tickets. Ticket protection is available for purchase during the ticket buying process and subject to terms and conditions.

WHAT IF I FORGOT MY TICKETS? In this case, you will need to go to the Ticket Tent, and they will be able to look your order up by verifying your personal information.

I'VE LOST AN ITEM! HOW CAN I FIND IT? Lost and Found is located oustide the main gate ticket entrance.

SOMEONE IN MY PARTY HAS TROUBLE WALKING. IS THERE A SERVICE TO GET THEM TO THE DISABLED SEATING AREA? Unfortunately, no. Though we welcome everyone, it is an outdoor festival and weather sometimes is an issue. We provide ADA Parking, which is quite close to the event. If you are unable to walk, you are welcome to bring a wheelchair or a medical scooter (no golf carts please) to get around. Again, the festival site is large and is earthy (not paved) so please keep this in mind as you are planning your visit, especially if the weather has been bad leading up to or during the event.

HOW EARLY SHOULD WE ARRIVE? Parking opens at 2pm. You are encouraged to arrive early to avoid traffic delays and lines at the gate.

CAN WE BRING GRILLS? For safety reasons, grills are not permitted as this is an outdoor event they are a fire hazard.

CAN WE BRING CHAIRS & BLANKETS INSIDE? Chairs and blankets are allowed in designated areas of the venue. These areas will not be right next to the stage.

SIGNAGE POLICY No signs larger than 1/2 sheet of poster board allowed.

IS THIS A FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT? This is a family friendly event with adequate security, but please be aware that alcohol will be sold at the event which is general admission and that your discretion should be used before bringing young children to the show.

IF I CANNOT DRIVE HOME, CAN I LEAVE MY CAR? No. Plans will need to be made on your behalf in advance of the show to get you and your car home after the show ends. Please drink responsibly.

WHAT IF MY CAR GETS STUCK/OR I LOCK MY KEYS IN MY CAR? There may be a wrecker service on site to help with car issues (Charges will apply according to the company). If there is not a wrecker service on site please contact your local wrecker service.

CAN WE CAMP? Camping is not allowed.

CAN WE BRING AN RV? We do not recommend bringing an RV since parking will be tight. If you do bring an RV, you can only use one (no more than this) pre-purchased parking pass +$50 at the gate for a total of $55 to park and you will not be able to park overnight. People arriving to the venue with no pre-purchased parking pass will be charged $75 to park the RV. Any vehicles left overnight will be towed at owner's expense.

IS THERE A DISCOUNTED PRICE FOR MOTORCYCLE PARKING? No, each motorcycle is required to pay full price for parking.

Luke Bryan's 2023 Farm Tour expected to cause significant traffic in Allegan County

ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — Drivers may experience a higher influx of traffic Saturday as a country superstar makes a stop in Allegan County, according to Michigan State Police.

Part of his 2023 Farm Tour, Luke Bryan is scheduled to perform in Allegan Township.

The following roads are anticipated to be impacted:

• 28th Street
• 30th Street
• 116th Avenue
• 122nd Avenue
• 125th Avenue
• 128th Avenue

Other roadways around Allegan and Hopkins are also anticipated to be impacted, troopers said.

However, traffic delays are expected to happen near the end of Bryan's concert at 11 p.m.

When the concert ends to accommodate exiting southbound traffic, 28th Street will be closed for a half-mile north of 122nd Avenue, according to state police.

28th Street is anticipated to stay open north of the closure, but it is also expected to be heavily impacted by traffic, troopers said.

Those attending the concert are encouraged to plan for traffic delays.

Country music superstar and “American Idol” judge Luke Bryan will host five “Farm Tour” concerts in September to benefit charities and college scholarships for students of farming families.

One of those will be held in Pa. and the only one that is sold out.

That concert is Saturday, Sept. 28, at Cunningham Family Farm at 355 Fitz Henry Road in Smithton, Westmoreland County.

Fans can find tickets here (prices are as of the time of this post):

The other Farm Tour concerts are Sept. 20 at Heritage Park in Chesapeake, Virginia; Sept. 21 at Huggins Store at Cox Brothers Farm in Marshville, North Carolina; Sept. 26 at Mulberry Orchard in Shelbyville, Kentucky; and Sept. 27 at Miller Family Farm in Millersport, Ohio.

Tickets for the other concerts are $65 in advance and $80 at the door, if available. Parking is $10 in advance and $20 at the door.

Parking begins at 2 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show is at 6 p.m. The show will be held rain or shine. Chairs and blankets are allowed in designated areas.

Special guests will be Conner Smith, Tucker Wetmore, Peach Pickers with Rodney Clawson and DJRock.

Bryan started the Farm Tour in 2009 as way of giving back to and honoring farming communities. Proceeds benefit charities and college scholarships for students of farming families.

The Farm Tour comes after the end of Bryan’s “Mind of a Country Boy” tour that started in April and ends in mid-September.
