Boat safety features:

Our tiki boat cruises between 4-6 mph and has safety rails around the perimeter of the boat. the boat is also equipped with 1 pfd for every passenger, along with all u.s. coast guard requirements. children under the age of 12 are required to wear a life jacket, which we have onboard, or feel free to bring your own. if bringing a pet onboard they must have life jacket., can more than 6 people cruise at the same time, the u.s. coast guard regulations for our tiki boats are 6 people plus crew.  however, we now have multiple boats and can accommodate larger group., what happens if i have 10 people, when we have groups larger than 6 people, we offer “tandem” cruises where our boats can cruise next to each other or anchor beside each other once on the sandbar. each multiple boat cruise will have a 20% gratuity added when booked., what are your cancellation and inclement weather policies, we reserve the right to cancel any cruise, at any time, due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues. if you tour is canceled, your cruise will be refunded (this excludes behavioral and alcohol-related cancellations). if you need to cancel your cruise, we require a 24-hour notice to receive a full refund., what can the tiki boat be used for, we can pretty much accommodate anything you can imagine. from bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthday parties, weddings & family fun days…you name it and we will try to make it work., should i tip my captain, our captains are highly skilled and work hard to make sure your tiki cruise is as enjoyable as possible. tips are greatly appreciated and 18% – 20% is recommended. venmo, zelle and cash app are accepted, or we can apply to the credit card used to book your cruise., do you provide food and drinks, our boats are byob so please feel free to bring your favorite food or beverage. we will have a large cooler filled with ice and bottled waters onboard. our marina also has a small selection of sodas, beer, seltzers, and snacks available for purchase., does the boat have a restroom, our tiki boats are not equipped with a restroom; therefore, we strongly encourage you to use the restroom at the marina before leaving the dock., do i need i.d. to drink, yes, we do card everyone that is drinking, so make sure you have a valid i.d..

Coastal Tango: Waterspouts caught on camera twirling in tandem over Palm Beach coast

Videos show waterspouts forming over the coast of Palm Beach on Thursday afternoon.

A CBS12 News viewer recorded the waterspouts forming on the beach, near Worth Avenue. he two waterspouts seem to dance, as they spin and twirl around each other.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), defines the waterspout as a "funnel which contains an intense vortex, sometimes destructive, of small horizontal extent and which occurs over a body of water."

The National Weather Service (NWS) says waterspouts are more common over South Florida’s coastal waters from late spring to early fall.

While a beautiful sight, the NWS warns the public not to get close to a waterspout, since some can be as dangerous as tornadoes.

The Palm Beach Police Department said while fortunate these weather events should be viewed at a safe distance.

Departing from the Downtown West Palm Beach docks at Clematis Street & Flagler Drive, guests are in for a wonderful, picturesque experience as they cruise along the Downtown skyline enjoying the mixture of 125 years of historic and modern architecture from the water. Relax comfortably on padded seats or with feet dangling in the catamaran’s bow nets while the Atlantic’s water flows underneath.

The friendly crew accommodates the guests with a variety of tropical beverages, beer, wine and snacks while cruising past the Mega yachts at Rybovich and enjoying a variety of music from tropical to reggae, pop and classics. The cruise will head toward Peanut Island where the Historic Coast Guard station still stands next to John F. Kennedy’s famous bunker built in 1960. The return trip includes up close views of the palatial mansions of Palm Beach, the Historic Biltmore hotel and a view of the iconic Breakers Hotel. As we approach the dock upon return, catch a photo of the Flagler Museum or the spectacularly plush gardens of Society of the Four Arts. Waterspouts waltz over Atlantic Ocean off Palm Beach coast in new video

An afternoon thunderstorm brought a dazzling sight to the shore of Palm Beach on Thursday: Waterspouts captured in a whirling dance over the Atlantic Ocean.

A Palm Beach Police Department surveillance camera filmed the dancing pair that slowly became a trio, off-shore from the spit of sand between the Beach Club and the Palm Beach Country Club, said police spokesman Capt. Will Rothrock.

The scene was recorded at 1:48 p.m. As the twisters dance, the camera zooms in and rain can be seen pouring into the Atlantic just north of the waterspouts.

A third vortex begins to form as a thin column of twirling air that just barely disturbs the ocean's surface.

The video lasts for nearly 3 minutes as the waterspouts begin to dissipate.

What is a waterspout?

Waterspouts are essentially tornadoes that form over bodies of water, and they can form in fair and turbulent weather, according to the National Weather Service .

The waterspouts seen Thursday were tornadic waterspouts, which are associated with severe weather such as the storms that moved through Palm Beach County that afternoon. The storms triggered several National Weather Service alerts to residents for strong winds and lightning.

Thursday's waterspouts stayed off-shore, but had they moved to land, the National Weather Service would have issued a tornado warning.

Waterspout safety tips from the National Weather Service

• Listen for NOAA Weather Radio marine warnings for waterspout sightings.
• Watch the sky for certain types of clouds. In summer, watched for a line of cumulus clouds with dark, flat bases. Anytime of the year, a thunderstorm or line of thunderstorms can produce very intense waterspouts.
• If a waterspout is sighted, immediately head at a 90 degree angle from the apparent motion of the waterspout.
• Don't try to navigate through a waterspout. They are usually weaker than tornadoes but they can still produce significant damage.
