The OBL-2-SL is a special version of the OBL-2 that has been designed specifically to work with single channel organs having built in speakers. It contains a switchable load resistor that will allow the organ speakers to be muted if desired. Like the standard OBL-2, the OBL-2-SL allows the organ to be connected via a 1/4" output jack to an external amplification system. The unit has both an overall output and one that is low pass filtered. The low pass output provides a signal with The upper frequencies attenuated and is useful when using a bass amp to reinforce the organ low end. A level control is provided to allow the output signal to be adjusted to match the amplifier input requirements. For applications requiring a very low signal level, a jumper allows further attenuation of the output.

I just installed a Trek-II OBL-2-SL line out box on my M3 and have it running to a Lester K pedal, which then goes to a mixer board before it hits the speaker. Everything has a volume control - the line out box, the pedal, the organ, and the mixer (the speaker, too).
