    Some of the smaller midi keyboards are okay for composition work, but not good for piano practice. I have a 37-key Irig Pro (about $200) and it might be okay to travel with. Some look for piano rooms or public pianos when they travel. Again, not the best solution, but these are often real pianos, not the plastic toys that a person can travel with.
