SZA Extends ‘SOS’ North American Arena Tour Through Fall 2023

SZA has extended her North American tour in support of her celebrated new album, SOS . Earlier this year, the singer completed 17 shows for her first-ever arena tour between February and March. Now, she’s plotting her return with 21 additional dates scheduled for this fall.

The R&B star will pick up where she left off on Sept. 20 in Miami and close out the second leg of the tour on Oct. 29 in Phoenix. The new shows include stops in Brooklyn, Toronto, Newark, Houston, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and more.

Tickets for all new shows will go on sale this Friday, April 14 at 12 p.m. local time. Full details are available on SZA’s website . 

SZA released SOS on Friday, Dec. 9, five years after the arrival of her celebrated 2017 debut, Ctrl . The 23-track album featured an array of collaborators , including Travis Scott, Don Tolliver, and the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard, as well as a cameo from Phoebe Bridgers on “Ghost In the Machine.”

Of getting SZA to “talk her shit,” as he put it, on those songs, Versace said, “I believe that spiritually our ancestors, the people around us, they can use us spiritually for whatever we’re trying to convey. Solana Rowe (born November 8th, 1990) a.k.a SZA, hails from St Louis, Missouri, US, with the American singer-songwriter delivering alternative neo-soul and ethereal R&B that has gained respect from her peers.

Rowe grew up listening to the jazz greats, finding a love for Billie Holiday, John Coltrane and Alice Coltrane, before later developing an interest in the music of Bjork. She also found a love for hip hop, with her name being inspired by Wu Tang Clan’s RZA. These influences can be heard in her music with her voice garnering comparisons with Ella Fitzgerald in its rasping tone.

SZA began making music in 2012, releasing her first two EPs as a free download, featuring production from the likes of brandUn DeShay, Felix Snow, Zodiac, Hassan Insane and APSuperProducer, . These two releases, “See.SZA.Run” and ’S” showcased SZA’s dreamy, atmospheric brand of soul with hip hop inspired beats.

Following the success of these releases, she drew the attention of Top Dawg Records, with whom she signed, joining Kendrick Lamar and Ab-Soul on their roster. SZA found further exposure through the video for her single, “Ice Moon,” as well as her appearance on the track, “His & Her Friend” for Schoolboy Q’s album, “Oxymoron” in 2014.

Shortly after, SZA released a ten-track digital download, “Z,” which featured a host of hip hop artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Chance the Rapper and Isaiah Rashad. The album was a commercial success, reaching 197 in the UK charts and number 39 in the US.

Solana Rowe, aka. SZA is a singer/songwriter that I’ve been following since the release of her first track back in 2011. Although she’s not been creating music for too long, her original R&B fusion with neo soul is something that’s not covered extensively in the industry, and therefore puts her at a great advantage. From her beginnings studying marine biology at college, her change in career path was a risky one, but most definitely paid off for the best!

She opened the show with Babylon, one of her newer tracks, and had everyone singing along right away. Her incredible voice washed over the auditorium, and held everyone in silence, before she shouted out for us to join in. Her soulful voice of someone way beyond her years powered through everyone, and sent the energy of the room sky high.

She interacted really well with her band, and gave them the opportunity to play solos between her verse and choruses, which was a great touch. They were incredibly talented, and to hear such a high class musician perform with incredible musician rather than her usual DJ was wonderful.

The most incredible, angelic, beautiful person to ever grace this earth. I've never been more stunned by a performance. SZA met and exceeded all of my expectations, I cannot put into words how amazing she is live. It's an experience you don't want to miss if you get the chance to see her. She was so happy and humble and was continuiously appoligizing for being sick and I honestly couldn't tell, that's how great she is. Also the experience brought me life not only because I got to see her preform but because everyone was singing every single word to every song with her. Truly incredible when you are surrounded in a room full of people singing your favorite songs at the top of their lungs. Needless to say I want a live version of ctrl after all of this so I can reminisce.

This is the second SZA show that I've been to and once again it was fantastic!!! Her energy onstage is electric and the performance was so amazing!! And as always her beautiful bubbly silly personality made the show that much more amazing. I am so in love!!!!!!!. Not to mention the fact that she held my hand at one point. I just about cried tears of joy! Definitely looking forward to going to her next concert!! Best night of my life.

This show was electrifying! Sza puts so much energy and emotion into her music; when she sings the entire crowd can feel it. She is an extremely beautiful and talented perfomer. She dances intensely when shes feeling and involves her fans. Loved it so much I got teary eyed. She is my favorite singer thus far. I definitely recommend if you want a concert you will never forget.

Truly amazing! Her performance was full of heaps of energy and soul. A beautiful mixture of singing, dancing and a quick preview of her of her acrobatic skills! One of the best musicians to see in concert. Would be darn near impossible to not sway and jump when she's on stage. I've waited so long to see her and she did not disappoint. Really hope to see SZA in London more!!!

Amazing show! Sza sounded amazing! She looked like she was having an awesome time while performing and the crowd loved her. The energy in the venue was hella dope! At one point she instructed security to find any cases of water around to pass out to the people on the floor, saying "get the cases from the tour bus." I thought that was super cool of her.

I saw her last night in San Antonio, TX, it was my daughter first concert, and she did not disappoint. She is amazing live! Well worth the money spent. From the settings to the chorography her team did a fantastic job. The concert kept us on our feet the entire time. I will defiantly go see her again when she returns.

SZA is an amazing performer.

I saw her December 2014 with the Enter the Void tour with Jhene Aiko and the Internet.

She was amazing and energetic then and now that she is headlining her show was so LIT!!

I was dancing and sang all the songs and got my entire LIFE. You will too!

SZA was absolutely amazing. I saw her a few years back, and she came back even better and energetic with contagious good vibes. I totally recommend going to see her any and every time she comes to your city. Well worthy your time and money. And it's definitely a good time.

This concert was simply awesome. Her vocals were wonderful even when she lost her voice. You can tell she is dedicated to her fans and her craft! Can't wait till she is back in Atlanta!!!

Born in St. Louis and raised in Maplewood, NJ, genre-defying, and GRAMMY Award winning recording artist SZA released her major label debut album Ctrl (TDE/RCA) in 2017. SZA ‘s 2023 just got busier. The “Kill Bill” singer revealed on Tuesday (April 11) that she’s extending of her S.O.S. tour, which will see her traveling across Europe and more cities in North America starting this summer.

SZA will bring her dazzling ‘S.O.S.’ tour to Europe and then back to North America this summer and fall, the singer announced on Wednesday. The show, in support of her recent blockbuster album of the same name, will feature 10 dates across Europe — with highly touted British singer Raye in support — before returning to North America for another 23 shows.

SZA Adds 2023 North American Tour Dates

SZA has announced a stretch of new tour dates through North America in September and October, along with a European run in June. Raye will join SZA in Europe. See all of the newly added dates below.

SZA scored her first No. 1 album with SOS upon its release in December, and had one of the biggest debut streaming weeks of any album in 2022. The singer’s long-awaited second album stayed atop the charts for 10 consecutive weeks. It was first record by a woman to do so in seven years, following Adele’s 25 .

SZA announces 2023 tour dates

SZA has announced details of a North American arena tour for 2023. The run of shows follows the release of new album SOS , which dropped on December 9.

The SOS tour will hit 17 different cities, starting in Columbus, Ohio on February 21. SZA will perform at New York's Madison Square Garden half-way through the tour before rapping things up with a hometown show in Los Angeles on March 22. Tickets go on sale starting Friday, December 16 at 12pm local time.

Prior to releasing SOS , SZA performed on Saturday Night Live alongside guest host Keke Palmer. The arrival of the new project marked the end of a five-year gap between albums for the St. Louis-born artist. In the interim period she shared the singles "I Hate U" and "Good Days" as well as collaborating with Doja Cat on the Grammy-winning "Kiss Me More."

Take I-55 North to the Damen exit and make a left, going northbound for approximately 7 minutes. The building will be on your right.

Take Madison Street west from the Loop.

Take I-290 East to exit 28A (Damen Avenue). Take Damen Avenue north to Madison Street. Make a right onto Madison Street and the building will be on your right.

Public Transportation

Take the Orange, Green, Purple, or Brown lines to Madison. Take #20 Madison buses west.

To the United Center : The #19 United Center Express Bus runs on game days. Service begins 90 minutes prior to game time, runs every 10 minutes until 30 minutes until start of game. Board at stops starting southbound on Michigan and Randolph. Connections are made with Metra trains at Millennium Station, Ogilvie Center and Union Station. The #20 Madison Bus travels west on Madison Street, starting downtown at Wabash Street and runs every few minutes, making all stops to the United Center.

From the United Center : The #19 United Center Express and the #20 Madison buses run every few minutes, departing from the eastbound side of Madison Street. Buses make all stops.

Suites Parking

Two reserved parking passes will be valid in lots C and K. The other two reserved parking passes will be for parking in lots A, B, D, or L. Holders of these passes will be directed to A, B, D, or L lots by traffic police and parking attendants based on traffic conditions. Parking passes are good for one space each. All parking passes are mobile entry only.

For all special events, each Executive Suite Holder will receive two complimentary parking passes per event ordered. These two passes will be for reserved parking located in lots C and K. In addition, Executive Suite Holders will also receive the option to purchase four additional parking passes in lots C and K for special events.

Suite Holder parking passes are also valid for buses or limousines under specific guidelines.

Lexus Club Parking

Lexus Club Seat members have reserved parking in fenced, well-lit and clearly marked parking lots adjacent to the United Center for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. All Lexus Club members who purchase tickets to other events may also purchase one preferred parking pass (in lot C or K) for such events. Details on how to obtain parking for other events are included with the fax transmission announcing each event.

Lexus Club Seat members with two to four tickets receive a complimentary, reserved parking space in a closed-in, paved lot for all Blackhawks or Bulls preseason, regular season and playoff games. Lexus Club Seat members with five seats or more will be provided with two parking passes.

UBER ZONE FAQs:

What is the Uber Zone (Lot E) at the United Center? To increase and streamline the fan experience for guests who take Uber to and from the United Center, the new Uber Zone is located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street (Lot E) and will combine the three former Uber locations around the arena. Traffic leading to the three prior Uber pickup locations 1) Zone A, previously located on Wood Street & Washington Blvd. near Lot A, 2) Zone D, previously located on Monroe Street & S. Paulina Street near Lot D and 3) Zone F, previously located on Monroe Street & Seeley Ave. near Lot F will now be directed towards the one new Uber Zone in Lot E.

What is the location of the Uber Zone? The new Uber Zone at the United Center is located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Fans will enter and exit through the sidewalk entrance located on Madison Street and cars will enter the lot by turning into the Uber Zone from Madison Street. Cars will exit on Warren Blvd.

What are the hours of operation? On event days, the Uber Zone is open two hours prior to games, concerts and events and will remain open up to one hour after each event. On non-event days, the Uber Zone will be closed and Uber rides will be dropped off near the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street outside of the Uber Zone.

What is the pickup process for fans?

• Using the Uber app, fans inside the United Center will call an Uber ride.
• Guests will then head to the new Uber Zone located at the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street in front of the United Center.
• When arriving, fans will show the Uber attendant the lane number their driver is in.
• Fans will be shown the location where their Uber vehicle is located to start their next journey.

What is the dropoff process for fans? When Uber drivers arrive with guests at the United Center, they will be instructed to pull into the Uber Zone from the Madison Street side to drop off fans. Once exiting the vehicle, guests will walk out of the main entrance located on the corner of Madison Street and Wood Street. Guests can cross the street to the United Center and are encouraged to enter through the East Atrium.

R&B superstar SZA will headline Summerfest 2024, in her first-ever Milwaukee concert

Summerfest 2024 has filled the final slot in its headliner lineup for the American Family Insurance Amphitheater with possibly its biggest get this year.

The Milwaukee music festival announced Friday morning that R&B superstar SZA will headline the amphitheater at 7:30 p.m. June 22. Special guest Aminé will open the show.

One of the biggest current music acts who has not yet played Milwaukee, SZA is the ninth and final headliner announced for the Big Gig's biggest stage.

The booking is quite a coup — SZA is the premier headliner at Lollapalooza in Chicago in August, where radius clauses in the past have sometimes prevented the same bookings at Summerfest.

The bookings follow a blockbuster 2023 that saw her 2022 album "SOS" land at No. 3 on the year-end Billboard Hot 200 chart. SZA also had two songs on the year-end Billboard Hot 100 chart for 2023 — "Kill Bill" at No. 3 and "Snooze" at No. 9. "Kill Bill" was the second-most streamed song on Spotify in Milwaukee last year.

And with SZA Summerfest-bound, the Big Gig will have a top-of-the-bill female headliner in the amphitheater this year.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 10 at Summerfest.com and Ticketmaster.com , and at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater box office, 200 N. Harbor Drive. Tickets include admission to Summerfest on June 22. Prices have yet to be announced.

June 22, SZA's Milwaukee concert debut, is shaping up to be the busiest Milwaukee concert night in recent history.

In addition to SZA and the rest of the Summerfest lineup that Saturday night, the date features a concert with Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band at American Family Field, and the Tacos and Tequila Festival at Franklin Field, with a hip-hop lineup including Ludacris, T.I., Chamillionaire and more.

Get ready to mark your calendars, music lovers. Lollapalooza has released the day lineup for its 2024 festival.

The Chicago-based music festival, which is set to take place Aug. 1-4, announced the schedule for its latest edition on social media Monday. The reveal comes a week after Lollapalooza unveiled its roster of 2024 headliners, including SZA , Blink-182 Tyler, the Creator , The Killers and others.

Tyler, the Creator and fellow headliner Hozier are slated to kick off Lollapalooza 2024 on Thursday, Aug. 1.

When is Gazebo Festival? Here's everything to know about Jack Harlow's two-day music festival

Fire up those group texts and grab your frisbees, blankets, hydration packs, and sunscreen. Louisville native Jack Harlow 's multi-day outdoor hip hop music event, Gazebo Festival , takes over downtown during Memorial Day weekend.

The two-day music festival, held May 25-26 at Louisville's scenic Waterfront Park, 131 River Road, features 26 acts and includes performances by Harlow and co-headliner  SZA , James Blake (DJ Set),  Omar Apollo ,  PinkPantheress ,  Vince Staples ,  Majid Jordan , Larry June , Veeze and Channel Tres .

When and where is Gazebo Festival?

Gazebo Festival is on Saturday, May 25, and Sunday, May 26 in downtown Louisville at Waterfront Park, 131 River Road. The festival hours are Saturday and Sunday 1-11 p.m.

How much are tickets to Gazebo Festival?

Tickets are available online and at the festival box office at Waterfront Park, which will be open daily beginning Friday, May 24.

General admission weekend tickets are $255. Single-day general admission is $155.

A VIP weekend ticket costs $740 and offers access to a VIP lounge with air conditioning, premium restrooms, dedicated bar and food offerings, and a merchandise tent. VIP ticket buyers will also have access to dedicated VIP entrance lanes into the festival and up-close, premium viewing at both stages. VIP tickets include a branded clear tote bag and a limited edition festival line-up t-shirt. Single-day VIP tickets are $395.

Does the Gazebo Festival allow re-entry?

Re-entry into the festival is not permitted. Once you have entered the venue each day, you will not be allowed to leave and come back in.

There are a number of parking lots and garages around Waterfront Park, as well as public transportation. Ride-sharing is highly encouraged.

Does Gazebo Festival donate any of its proceeds?

Yes. A portion of proceeds from every ticket, plus a number of other on-site revenue streams, will benefit various community organizations in Louisville through the  Jack Harlow Foundation . Harlow created The Jack Harlow Foundation in 2023 to reinvest, uplift, and support organizations in his hometown of Louisville. In 2023, the Jack Harlow Foundation distributed more than $500,000 in funds and product donations.

The day-by-day Lollapalooza 2024 lineup is finally out for the annual music festival in Chicago's Grant Park.

This year's Lolla is being headlined by SZA, Tyler the Creator, Blink 182, The Killers, Future X, Metro, Boomin, Hozier, Stray Kids, Melanie Martinez and Skrillex.

The popular music festival will run August 1 through August 4 in Grant Park.
