Summary [ ].

This was the final season of Star Trek: Voyager .

A multitude of familiar aliens are revisited for a final shout including the Ferengi in " Inside Man ", the Hirogen in " Flesh and Blood ", the Klingons in " Prophecy ", the Hierarchy in " The Void " and " Renaissance Man ", the Q in " Q2 ", and the Talaxians in " Homestead ".

" Drive " sees Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres pilot the Delta Flyer in a "trans-stellar rally" before finally tying the knot, and in " Body and Soul ", Seven of Nine is forced to hide The Doctor 's program in her cybernetic implant. In " Q2 " John de Lancie returns with his errant son, desperate for the assistance of "Aunt Kathy" which completes the "Q" story arc begun in seasons two and three, and in " Author, Author ", the crew get to play in the holodeck alongside adulterated versions of themselves, when The Doctor publishes his first holonovel to less than stellar reviews.

After marrying in " Drive ", B'Elanna Torres and Tom Paris' relationship, Torres discovers that she is pregnant in " Lineage ", before contending with a group of Klingons convinced she is carrying the Klingon Messiah in " Prophecy ". Ultimately, Torres gives birth at the very moment Voyager bursts into the Alpha Quadrant from inside an exploding Borg sphere in the series finale " Endgame ".

The series finale, "Endgame" was watched by 8.8 million viewers, significantly less than the show's premiere episode, " Caretaker " with 21.3 million viewers. [1] Still, it pulled in the highest ratings since the premiere episode of the fourth season , " Scorpion, Part II ". Referring to "Endgame" as "the right kind of Star Trek programming", UPN President Tom Nunan publicly declared, " The Voyager finale bodes extremely well for Enterprise 's première next fall. " ( Star Trek Monthly  issue 82 , p. 8)

Tom Paris : Paris to sickbay. It's time.

The Doctor : Remain calm, Mr. Paris. Can she stand?

[Tom looks at B'Elanna, who is putting on her dressing gown without rush]

Tom Paris : Affirmative.

The Doctor : Then I suggest you report to sickbay.

Tom Paris : Right.

[Tom gets up and is about to leave their quarters in his pajamas]

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Returning Cast & New Character Guide

Star trek: discovery's rhys is starfleet's next great captain, star trek: discovery climbs nielsen streaming top 10 rankings.

  • Captain Burnham secures final clue in mindscape, while Rayner & Booker search Eternal Gallery in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 8.
  • Reference to Neelix & Talaxian people hints at their whereabouts post-Star Trek: Voyager, connecting past and present in Star Trek lore.
  • Possible Talaxian future in Star Trek: Prodigy season 2, signaling a potential return of Neelix and further exploration of their story.

A passing reference to Star Trek: Voyager 's Talaxian people in Star Trek: Discovery reveals what happened to Neelix (Ethan Phillips) after he left the USS Voyager. In Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 8, "Labyrinths", written by Lauren Wilkinson & Eric J. Robbins, and directed by Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour , Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) travels to the Eternal Gallery and Archive, the largest collection of historical and cultural artifacts in the Alpha and Beta Quadrants. By the end of Discovery season 5, episode 8 , Burnham secures the final clue to the location of the Progenitors' treasure by navigating her own mindscape.

With Captain Burnham stuck inside her own mind, and a Breen Dreadnought laying waste to the Eternal Gallery and Archive, it's up to Commander Rayner (Callum Keith Rennie) and Cleveland Booker (David Ajala) to try finding the final clue first. Scanning through library records, Book doesn't find the clue but does find a nod to Star Trek: Voyager character Neelix, and the Talaxian people. The Talaxians haven't been seen since Voyager ended , so this brief reference provides a welcome update on both Neelix and his people.

As Burnham seeks the universe's greatest treasure in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, she'll need help from a host of new and returning characters.

Star Trek: Discovery’s Talaxian Reference Reveals What Happened To Neelix After Voyager

"a comprehensive guide to talaxian hair styles".

Attempting to speed up the search for the final Progenitors' clue, Commander Rayner suggests scanning the reading list of Betazoid scientist Dr. Marina Derex for hints. Accessing the records, Book concedes that she " just loved learning new things " and the books had no bearing on the location of the final clue. One of the books that Book references is A Comprehensive Guide to Talaxian Hair Styles . While this is clearly a throwaway nod to Star Trek: Voyager 's Neelix, the presence of the book in the Eternal Gallery and Archive does suggest what happened to him and the Talaxians.

The Talaxians are just one of many Star Trek: Voyager references in Star Trek: Discovery season 5. Other references include the Krenim, Seven of Nine, and the USS Voyager-J.

The book confirms that the Talaxians made it far beyond the Delta Quadrant after Star Trek: Voyager ended , and that they submitted items to the Eternal Gallery and Archive. In Star Trek: Voyager season 7, episode 23, Neelix left the USS Voyager to live in a Talaxian colony located on an asteroid . However, he maintained regular contact with the crew as their ambassador to the Delta Quadrant. As Starfleet introduced proto and quantum slipstream drives in the late 24th century, it would make it far easier for Neelix and other Talaxians to hitch a ride and make the trip to the Alpha Quadrant.

Could Star Trek Bring Back Neelix’s Species?

Will we see neelix on netflix.

There have been a few Talaxian references in the modern franchise from Star Trek: Discovery 's Talaxian book, to the references to Neelix in Star Trek: Lower Decks season 4, episode 1, "Twovix". Neelix also briefly appeared in one of the non-canon Star Trek animated shorts , Very Short Treks episode 4, "Holograms All The Way Down". However, aside from this, there haven't been Talaxians on-screen in any of the modern Star Trek shows. The obvious home for a Neelix or Talaxian cameo is in Star Trek: Prodigy , which returns to Netflix later in 2024.

Star Trek: Prodigy

*Availability in US

Not available

Star Trek: Prodigy is the first TV series in the Star Trek franchise marketed toward children, and one of the few animated series in the franchise. The story follows a group of young aliens who find a stolen Starfleet ship and use it to escape from the Tars Lamora prison colony where they are all held captive. Working together with the help of a holographic Captain Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew), the new crew of the USS Protostar must find their way back to the Alpha Quadrant to warn the Federation of the deadly threat that is pursuing them.

Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 will see Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) and the crew of the USS Voyager-A travel to an alternate future to save Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran) . Robert Picardo is reprising the role of the Doctor for Prodigy season 2, and other cameos have been promised. This feels like an ideal opportunity to bring back the Talaxians, and provide an update on what Neelix has been up to. While Prodigy viewers may meet an alternate future version of Neelix instead, it will still build on Star Trek: Voyager 's Talaxians in a more substantial way than Star Trek: Discovery 's affectionate nod.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5 continues Thursdays on Paramount+.

Star Trek: Voyager

The fifth entry in the Star Trek franchise, Star Trek: Voyager, is a sci-fi series that sees the crew of the USS Voyager on a long journey back to their home after finding themselves stranded at the far ends of the Milky Way Galaxy. Led by Captain Kathryn Janeway, the series follows the crew as they embark through truly uncharted areas of space, with new species, friends, foes, and mysteries to solve as they wrestle with the politics of a crew in a situation they've never faced before.

Star Trek: Discovery

Star Trek: Discovery is an entry in the legendary Sci-Fi franchise, set ten years before the original Star Trek series events. The show centers around Commander Michael Burnham, assigned to the USS Discovery, where the crew attempts to prevent a Klingon war while traveling through the vast reaches of space.

Star Trek: Discovery Reveals Seven Of Nine's Surprising Legacy

WARNING: Contains SPOILERS for Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7, "Erigah".

  • Commander Jett Reno reveals a surprising new talent in mixing cocktails, including her signature "Seven of Limes" drink.
  • The legacy of Seven of Nine lives on in Star Trek's 32nd century, with a nod to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine at USS Discovery's bar.
  • Star Trek: Discovery season 5 continues to honor the past with references to Voyager, hinting at an exciting future for Captain Seven.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7, "Erigah", reveals that Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan) has left her mark on the 32nd century in a surprising way. Even though Discovery is set 800 years after the events of Star Trek: Voyager , there have been several references to the show so far in season 5. Voyager 's Krenim villains created the time bug that caused havoc for Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green) and Commander Rayner (Callum Keith Rennie) in "Face the Strange". Three episodes later, and Discovery season 5, episode 7, written by M. Raven Metzner and directed by Jon Dudkowski has two more Voyager callbacks.

The ending of Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7 , "Erigah" reveals that the final piece of the Progenitors' puzzle is located in the Badlands. A dangerous region of space wracked with serious plasma storms, the Badlands was where the USS Voyager went missing in the Star Trek: Voyager pilot, "Caretaker" . Earlier in the episode, while trying to decipher the fifth and final clue, Lt. Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman) and Ensign Adira Tal (Blu del Barrio) seek the assistance of Commander Jett Reno (Tig Notaro), who provides an update on Voyager 's Seven of Nine and her legacy.

Star Trek: Discovery Season 5 Returning Cast & New Character Guide

As Burnham seeks the universe's greatest treasure in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, she'll need help from a host of new and returning characters.

Star Trek: Discovery Reveals Seven Of Nine Has A Surprising Legacy

You can order a seven of limes in discovery's bar..

Commander Jett Reno reveals that she has multiple talents in Star Trek: Discovery season 5, episode 7. Including being a skilled engineer, Reno is also an expert in antique books, and even pulls in shifts at Red's, the USS Discovery's bar. Revealing this information to a surprised Tilly and Adira, Reno tells them that they haven't lived until they've tried her " Seven of Limes " . Where some Star Trek characters, like Nog (Aron Eisenberg) have had starships, or in the case of Captain Jonathan Archer (Scott Bakula), an entire spacedock, named after them in the 32nd century, Seven has to make do with a cocktail.

In a nod to Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , the USS Discovery's bar, Red's, has a Ferengi bartender, and a Lurian propping up the bar.

It's unclear exactly what's in a Seven of Limes or how it compares to Kellerun Citrus Mash, but it's good to know that the legacy of Seven of Nine lives on in Star Trek 's 32nd century. While it may seem small compared to a starship or a spacedock, it's worth pointing out that nobody has a cocktail named after them in the far future without having made some huge cultural impact. As Seven of Nine has recently become the third female captain of the starship Enterprise , it's guaranteed that she'll make a huge impact on Starfleet history.

Will We Ever Find Out More About Seven of Nine In Star Trek?

Star trek: legacy remains a hypothetical concept for now..

Star Trek: Picard season 3 ended by giving Captain Seven of Nine the center seat of the Federation's flagship, the USS Enterprise-G. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting news of whether Captain Seven's adventures will continue in Terry Matalas' hypothetical Star Trek: Legacy show. There's been no official statement about Star Trek: Legacy , or any future plans for both Jeri Ryan and the character of Seven of Nine. The only other 24th century Star Trek shows are both set before the events of Picard season 3, meaning that there'll be no updates about Captain Seven in Star Trek: Lower Decks or Star Trek: Prodigy .

Given that Star Trek: Discovery is set at the extreme end of the Star Trek timeline , it's a good sign that Seven of Nine is still remembered 800 years in the future. While she may not have a starship named after her, the very fact that Seven of Limes exists suggests that Captain Seven crossed over into the wider culture beyond Starfleet. Clearly, stories of Seven's heroism post- Star Trek: Picard season 3 left an impact on popular culture within the Federation, inspiring a bartender somewhere to concoct the Seven of Limes in her honor.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5 streams Thursdays on Paramount+.

Star Trek: Picard

After starring in Star Trek: The Next Generation for seven seasons and various other Star Trek projects, Patrick Stewart is back as Jean-Luc Picard. Star Trek: Picard focuses on a retired Picard who is living on his family vineyard as he struggles to cope with the death of Data and the destruction of Romulus. But before too long, Picard is pulled back into the action. The series also brings back fan-favorite characters from the Star Trek franchise, such as Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Worf (Michael Dorn), and William Riker (Jonathan Frakes).

Body and Soul - On an away mission, Harry Kim, Seven and the Doctor are captured (imagine that), and the Doctor takes refuge "inside" Seven's circuitry, thereby triggering the Brain Uploading trope.
