It is only a few days until hit popstar and The Voice judge Olly Murs rolls into Leeds as part of a huge arena tour.

Murs found fame as a contestant on the X Factor in 2009, and has racked up a number of top ten hits in the past decade.

Your heart needn't skip a beat worrying about where to park or what time he'll be on-stage, we have compiled all of the information you need.

There are still tickets left for the big First Direct Arena gig and we have included details on how you can buy them below.

There are a few places to park with easy access to the arena.

Q-Park  - St Johns Centre offers First Direct Arena visitors exclusive discounted parking at a number of car parks within the city. It is a short five-minute walk from the arena.

Woodhouse Lane Car Park,  located on Woodhouse Lane, offers 1272 spaces and easy access to the ring road at the end of the show. Again, this is around a five-minute walk to the arena.

First Direct Arena events: £6.60 (between hours of 6pm and 12am on Arena Events nights only)

Merrion Centre Car Park , located on Merrion Way, is adjacent to the Arena.  It is the closest car park however visitors may experience delays leaving this location due to traffic restrictions on Merrion Way.

Barely 24 hours before the first night of Take That ’s four-night residency at the First Direct Arena in Leeds, special guest for the tour, Olly Murs , became a father and was pictured leaving the hospital with his wife and new child. Despite his mind being understanding on other more important matters, that didn’t stop the Essex singer-songwriter from putting on the kind of performance you come to expect from him.

A high-energy pop show with all the razzamatazz associated with Olly, the singer shows no signs of tiredness from his whirlwind twenty-fours. Strutting and racing about the stage with an understandably huge smile plastered across his face, this was certainly an emotional night for the roguish singer-songwriter. With the set dedicated to his daughter featuring covers of “ Let’s Twist Again ” and “ Shout ” along with his material, you could imagine his new family enjoying this as much as he was.

Pop sensation Take That is out on the road celebrating thirty-four years as not only a group but also one of the most successful British boy bands of the last three decades. A sold-out UK arena tour will be shortly followed by another sold-out UK stadium tour this Summer before the three-piece heads out to mainland Europe, the Middle East, Australia and New Zealand before the year is out.

Seeing the band perform, it’s easy to see why they’ve been at the top of the league for so long. Their two-hour spectacular has it all. The production is colossal, so big, in fact, that a condensed version is used for this run in Yorkshire. The sound is flawless. There are costume changes. Pyro. Confetti. That’s before we’ve even given the twenty-seven-song setlist a mention.

Promoting their new album, This Life , the group appears on stage to “ Keep Your Head Up ,” followed by “ Windows ,” “ Giants ,” and “ Days I Hate Myself .” The rest of the set sees the group wheel out a mix of big hitters like “ Shine ” and “ Back For Good ” while each member takes turns with their tracks.

Of course, the night ends with the obligatory hits “ Never Forget ” and “ Rule The World ” as the first of these four shows in Leeds comes to a conclusion in spectacular fashion.

Olly Murs UK tour 2023: New dates and how to buy tickets

Olly Murs is officially back and heading out on tour in April and May 2023.

He may have been away from music for a while, but Olly Murs is back with a brand new album and an incredible UK tour to go with it.

The chart-topping star has recently signed to EMI Records and now returns with the release of Marry Me, his first new studio album in over four years.

And now he's added a very special new date to the tour, confirming that he'll be returning to him hometown of Essex, performing at Colchester Castle Park on Sunday 27th August 2023.

If that's not exciting enough, he'll be joined by very special guests Scouting For Girls.

Friends since they were five years old, the band members Roy Stride, Pete Ellard, and Greg Churchouse shot to fame with their 2007 self-titled debut album.

And Olly is sure to have people dancing in the aisles, with his 2019 UK arenas tour selling 180,000 tickets nationwide.

He’s determined to go bigger and better this time with 11 huge arena shows across the country in April and May, including a special night at The O2, London on April 29th.

You can expect to hear all the classic Olly hits, as well as tracks off the new album including Die Of A Broken Heart , Go Ghost , and of course, Marry Me .

Olly has previously had six multi-platinum albums, four number one albums, four number one UK singles and 1.8 million tour tickets sold.

This Life On Tour – 2024.

Take That embarked on their lengthy 41-date UK tour this week, beginning in Sheffield before jumping over the Pennines to visit us at the First Direct Arena for four whole nights from Wednesday 17 April 2024 – Saturday 21 April 2024.

This tour sees remaining members Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald bring together fans spanning across the decades with a whopping 29 hit songs.

It really is the ‘idea of a nice day out’, and we’ve got everything you need to know about the four-day stint here in Leeds.

Tickets are still available (just about) from £69.05 for seats – £241.95 for VIP package, all available via See Tickets  here .

What are the stage times?

Doors open at 6pm at the First Direct Arena and the show begins from 7.25pm when support act Olly Murs will take to the stage.

Take That are due on stage around 8.35pm if the Sheffield show earlier this week is anything to go by.

The most up-to-date timings are usually announced on the First Direct Arena’s social media accounts , so we’ll be keeping an eye on these to bring you the changes as the days progress.

Gary Barlow recently blew up online with countless memes of the singer talking about his vineyard as “the idea of a nice day out”, and he’s already been quick to make it part of the set in Sheffield.

Venue information

The First Direct Arena has a few strict policies to keep gig-goers safe, so make sure to check  entry requirements  carefully before you travel.

For example, only one small bag per person is allowed, and bags like backpacks, travel cases and laptop bags are not permitted inside the arena.

All bags are scanned on entry to check for prohibited items like laser pens, flares, projectiles, weapons, drugs and alcohol, and even selfie sticks.

One of the UK’s most successful bands, Take That, have today announced their return with a huge stadium and arena live tour for 2024 alongside news of their ninth studio album This Life , set for release 24 th November. To celebrate the news further, Take That have also unleashed their brand-new single Windows which is out NOW!

This Life On Tour will see the trio - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald – play 29 dates across 15 cities around the UK and Ireland. They will be joined on the tour by very special guest, Olly Murs.

Take That are renowned for their huge productions and incredible live shows, and currently hold the record for the most performances at London’s The O2 with 34 headline shows. 2011’s Progress tour broke box office records by selling over 1 million tickets in less than 24 hours, becoming the biggest tour in the UK and earning them a place on Billboard’s annual ‘Top 25 Tours’ list, placing third worldwide. In 2019, the band celebrated their 30th anniversary with the 38 date sell-out Odyssey tour which saw them play to 29 arenas and 9 stadiums, selling over 650,000 tickets. 

Take That’s brand new single, Windows , out today - sees them reunite for their first original composition in over five years.  Windows , is a beautiful track which tells the story of emerging from the darkness into the light.  As a familiar falsetto rings out across the opening notes of Windows , it signals a new era for one of Britain’s best selling bands, Take That ; an era brimming with energy, creativity and a continued desire to challenge and surprise.

The musicality of Windows hints at what listeners can expect from This Life , the band’s ninth studio album and their first since 2017’s Wonderland . Beautiful melodies, soaring choruses, sophisticated harmonies beautifully blending the trio’s voices permeate the new album, due for release on 24th November.

“It’s been a wonderful experience being back in the studio together making this record. It has that feeling of spreading your wings, letting out the old and bringing in the new” commented the band.
