Noah Kahan announces 'We'll All Be Here Forever' tour. What to know

Noah Kahan is staying in his "stick season" for another year.

After launching a tour tied to his breakthrough third studio album, "Stick Season," toward the end of 2022 — which he extended through the summer of 2023 — Kahan has announced dates for a second tour.

"This exceeds even my wildest childhood dreams, but you have made them all possible, so we are announcing another tour! I can’t hardly believe it," Kahan shared on Instagram Sept. 20.

His second tour, titled "We'll All Be Here Forever," brings 32 new dates and will mark his debut at major venues across the country, including the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and Madison Square Garden in New York.

Celebrating the milestone, Kahan posted a photo of himself performing as a child on X, formerly known as Twitter.

"Somebody tell him he’s gonna do it, somebody tell him he’s gonna play the garden," Kahan said.

The tour’s title comes from the name of his deluxe album, “Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever),” which premiered June 9 with seven new tracks.

Kahan made his debut in 2019 with the folk-pop album “Busyhead,” which he followed up with “I Was/I Am” in 2021. But his breakthrough came with “Stick Season,” achieving viral fame. Having teased the titular track since 2020 by playing the chorus on TikTok, fans were anxious for the full song — and eventually the album — to be released.

Riding the high of his success, Kahan promised the deluxe version of the album, but soon felt “lost” in fame and self-imposed pressure for another hit.

“I realized that I just had to stop putting so much pressure on myself and make whatever I could and not kill myself over it,” he previously told TODAY.com.

Kahan started touring his “Stick Season” album in 2022, with dates for his current trek lined up through Feb. 26, 2024, in Belgium. The "We'll All Be Here Forever" North America tour kicks off March 26, 2024, in Vancouver.

Public on-sale is scheduled to start Sept. 29 at 10 a.m. local time.

Tickets are nontransferable, according to a notice on Kahan's social media , but can be submitted for resale through Ticketmaster's face value ticket exchange , which allows users to sell tickets at the price they were purchased.

ABOUT NOAH KAHAN

As Noah Kahan changes, he casts those experiences onto songs like light through a film projector. At the core of the music’s upbeat energy and unfiltered lyrics, you’ll hear who he was before and who he became—almost in real-time. The Vermont singer still pens songs straight from the heart and still cracks jokes with his signature, self-deprecating sense of humor; he’s just changed in all of the right ways (and chronicled them via his songwriting). He gained that understanding through quite the journey from small town Vermont to global renown. He’s racked up over one billion streams, released three full length albums ( Busyhead , 2019;  I Was / I Am , 2021;  Stick Season , 2022) and a mid-pandemic EP ( Cape Elizabeth , 2020), picked up a Gold Certification for “Hurt Somebody” feat. Julia Michaels, and performed on television shows such as  Jimmy Kimmel Live! ,  The Late Show with Stephen Colbert ,  Late Night with Seth Meyers ,  TODAY , and  The Kelly Clarkson Show . After 5 years of critical acclaim and global touring, he sought an even purer style of writing and arrangement inspired by his New England roots, a challenge from within to convey a vivid representation of what he loves, fears, and struggles with most passionately. The result is Noah’s critically acclaimed new album  Stick Season , which features his viral hit single “Stick Season” and has become his most successful release to date. Following the album release, Noah embarked on his sold-out “Stick Season Tour” across North America, which will continue into 2023.

Due to massive fan demand,  Noah Kahan has announced seven additional dates in North America on his 2024 We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour.

The We’ll All Be Here Forever Tour will see the critically acclaimed Vermont singer & songwriter playing the biggest and most iconic venues of his career thus far.

In July, Kahan teamed up with GRAMMY® Award-nominated global superstar Post Malone for a new version of his latest single “Dial Drunk”—listen HERE . “Dial Drunk,” which peaked at #1 on both the Alternative and AAA Radio Charts, is featured on his new album Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) , an extension of 2022’s Stick Season and his most successful offering to date. Stick Season was just recently Certified Gold, and the breakout title track was Certified Platinum. It debuted at #3 on Billboard 200 Chart, #1 on Top Americana/Folk Albums Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Alternative Albums Chart, #1 on Billboard Top Rock Albums Chart, and more. Impressively, Noah became the 5th artist in history with 18 songs on Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Charts in one week , alongside David Bowie and Taylor Swift.

He’s racked up over two billion streams, released three full length albums ( Busyhead , 2019; I Was / I Am , 2021; Stick Season , 2022) and a mid-pandemic EP ( Cape Elizabeth , 2020), picked up a Platinum Certification for “Stick Season” and Gold Certification for “Hurt Somebody” feat. The result is Noah’s latest critically acclaimed album Stick Season , which features his viral hit single “Stick Season.” The album is Certified Gold and has sold over 500 thousand units to date. Following the album release, Noah embarked on the first two legs of his sold-out “Stick Season Tour” across North America, which continues this summer, where he’s playing his biggest venues to date, including the iconic Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. In June, Kahan released the extended version of 2022’s celebrated album, Stick Season (We’ll All Be Here Forever) , which includes seven new songs and his latest single “Dial Drunk.” The release became his most successful offering yet—topping the charts, amassing millions of streams, receiving a slew of critical acclaim, and cementing Noah Kahan as the biggest breakout artist of the year.

Ticket Information

$1 from each ticket will be donated to The Busyhead Project, a fund at the Vermont Community Foundation, which Noah created to support organizations delivering mental health treatment and providing access to care.

Noah Kahan wants to give fans, not resellers, the best chance to buy tickets at face value. If fans purchase tickets for a show and can't attend, they’ll have the option to resell them to other fans at the original price paid on Ticketmaster’s Face Value Exchange. To help protect the Face Value Exchange, Noah Kahan has also chosen to make tickets for this tour mobile only and restricted from transfer. A valid bank account or debit card within the country of the event is required to sell on the Face Value Exchange.

For safety and speed of entry, we strongly discourage guests from bringing bags of any kind to events at Xcel Energy Center. Purses no larger than 12” x 12” x 6” are allowed at designated X-ray entry points. This applies to all purses, including clear bags. Backpacks, coolers or large totes are prohibited. Medical and parenting bags are permitted and subject to X-ray screening. Wristlet, clutch or wallets 4” x 6” x 1.5” or smaller are allowed at all entrances and subject to inspection.

Mobile Entry

Pro tip for faster mobile entry: Add your tickets to your phone's "wallet" and have a fully charged battery. This bypasses the need for Wi-Fi or cellular data at the gates.

Mobile tickets are like an airline boarding pass which can be accessed with a smartphone via the Ticketmaster app or mobile site in a bar code format and scanned at the gate for entry. Mobile tickets are protected by Ticketmaster’s SafeTix™ technology. SafeTix™ continually generates a new and unique barcode that automatically refreshes every few seconds so the barcode cannot be stolen or copied, keeping your tickets safe and secure. Screen shots are not accepted for entry.

Cashless Payment Only

Only credit card and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) are accepted for concessions, retail and parking transactions. Only credit card payment is accepted for box office transactions. Cash is not accepted.

A billionaire gave college grads $1000 each at commencement - but they can only keep half

Graduates at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth received more than flowers and a commemorative degree frame this weekend when a commencement guest surprised them with envelopes full of cash.

Granite Telecommunications  founder and CEO Robert Hale, Jr. attended the ceremony on Saturday in anticipation of receiving the Chancellor's Medal for his work in local philanthropy. True to form, Hale took the opportunity to share some more of his more than $5 billion fortune, reported The Standard Times , part of the USA TODAY Network.

“These trying times have heightened the need for sharing, caring and giving,” Hale told the 1,200 graduation students. “We want to give you two gifts: the first is our gift to you, the second is the gift of giving.”

Grads soon found out that the truck near the stage was filled with duffle bags containing envelopes with $500 cash in $100 bills. Each graduate received two of the envelopes: one for themselves, and one for giving to an organization or person need.

"Our community and our world need our help now more than ever, Hale told the audience. ”The greatest joys we've had in our life have been the gift of giving."

Still unsure about college?: It's not too late to apply for scholarships or even school.

Not the first graduation surprise

Perhaps even more surprising than the gift itself is the fact that this is not the first time Hale has made such a donation.

Back in 2021, Hale made headlines for giving Quincy College graduates the same unexpected present; $1,000 given to each graduate via two envelopes, one with $500 to keep for themselves and one to give to an organization “that needs it more than them.”

The announcement was made mid-ceremony when each of the 490 grads was told the white van parked on the field of Veterans Memorial Stadium contained envelopes filled with cash.

"We are going to give you two gifts. The first is for you, second one is the gift intended to be the gift of giving," Hale said at the time, reported The Patriot Ledger, part of the USA TODAY Network. "This pandemic heightened our need to help others, and we wanted you to share in the joy of sharing. Our community needs you more than ever."

Who is Robert Hale?

Robert Hale Jr. is an American businessman, founder and CEO of Granite Telecommunications and co-founder of Boston-based commercial real estate firm FoxRock Properties.

According to Forbes, Hale has a current net worth of $5.4 billion, making him the 572nd richest person in the world and number 203 on the list of wealthiest Americans.

As previously reported by The Patriot Ledger , Hale did not appear on Forbes' list of billionaires until 2022 but has grown his wealth by $2.2 billion since then. In the past year alone, he bumped up his worth by $400 million.

One of the wealthiest people in the state of Massachusetts, Hale is a native of North Andover but also has homes in Hingham and Boston. Hale founded Granite Telecommunications in 2002 after a previous business venture went bankrupt, resulting in hundreds of employees losing their jobs, reported The Patriot Ledger.

Granite found itself the subject of some ridicule earlier this year when 68 workers were laid off due to automation and changing tech, reported The Ledger.

Hale received the Chancellor's Medal for his involvement in philanthropy, which includes donating large sums to the tune of $270 million to charitable causes and hosting the annual “Saving by Shaving” fundraiser to secure millions in funds for the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, according to The Ledger. The profile also notes that this number represents about 5% of his wealth, which landed him a philanthropy rating of 3 out of 5.

He likewise received a Forbes cover story in October 2022 when he and his wife Karen pledged to donate $1 million a week to small non-profits locally and beyond. According to The Patriot Ledger , donations went to a variety of organizations, including a wildlife center, hospice program, Boys & Girls Club, programs providing financial support for women and at-risk youth, cancer research, education and youth development programs, funds for children with muscular dystrophy, and an organization providing shelter for victims of domestic violence.

Grad song of the year: Noah Kahan's 'You’re Gonna Go Far' is the new graduation anthem making people ugly cry

More moments from graduation season

Thanks to social media, the most eventful moments of the 2024 graduation season have made for some interesting online viewing, even for those not attending a ceremony in person this year.

A commencement speaker at Thomas Jefferson University apologized earlier this month after an embarrassing series of name mispronunciations left graduates and audience members baffled. The college later issued a written apology explaining that the announcer had been reading the phonetic pronunciations written out on the name cards, leading to confusion.

In another viral commencement moment, NFL player Harrison Butker stirred major controversy with his commencement speech at Benedictine College in which he told female graduates they had been told the "most diabolic lies" about having successful careers when they should be "most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world," as being a "homemaker" is the most important title for women.

Protests and walkouts have also featured prominently this season. Biden's speech at Morehouse College faced some pushback, while Jerry Seinfeild's speaker spot at Duke caused students to walk out.

Pro-Palestine protests at colleges across the country drew attention in the weeks leading up to commencement ceremonies as well, including encampments and ongoing demonstrations at prominent schools like Berkley, Columbia, MIT, UPenn, Pomona and Brown.

Lainey Wilson the big winner at 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards

May 17, 2024 / 4:50 AM EDT / AP

Lainey Wilson took home female artist of the year and the top prize of entertainer of the year at the 2024 Academy of Country Music Awards.

"I've been in Nashville for 13 years doing this," Wilson started her speech. "Everybody in this category has loved on me and believed on me," she added. "And I love y'all for that."

She joins an exclusive category of women who have earned the top prize: Miranda Lambert was named entertainer of the year in 2022. In 2020, Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett tied for the title, the first time ever for a tie and the first time a woman had won the category since Taylor Swift in 2012.

Lainey Wilson

Wilson also opened the 59th annual ACMs with a cover of Little Texas' "God Blessed Texas," flawlessly jumping into her new single, "Hang Tight Honey." Afterward, Clay Walker and Randy Travis presented Jordan Davis with song of the year for his ubiquitous country radio hit "Next Thing You Know."

"First off, I want to thank the fans for loving this song," he said in his acceptance speech. "I love songwriting because of songs that won song of the year, so to be holding this right now is crazy."

Music event of the year also went to Wilson - and Jelly Roll, for his smash "Save Me."

"No pun intended, but seriously, this song saved me," Jelly Roll said in his speech. "I thought I would die and go to jail," he said while getting emotional - and instead, he celebrated being an ACM award winner.

The ACMs, held at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas, just north of Dallas, was hosted by Reba McEntire.

Toby Keith honored

In one of the most anticipated performances of the show, Jason Aldean lit up the stage in a moving tribute to the late Toby Keith .

He gave the crowd a poignant, acoustic performance of Keith's classic "Should've Been a Cowboy" as the audience sang along, and Keith's family watched from the crowd.

Across his career, Keith took home 14 ACM Awards, twice winning the top prize of entertainer of the year. He died in February at age 62, following a diagnosis of stomach cancer.

Album and male artist of the year went to Chris Stapleton. "There's so many great guys in that category and I'm happy just to be included in this company," he said in his acceptance speech.

And when it came time to perform his new song "Think I'm in Love with You," he was joined by a very special guest: Dua Lipa.

It wasn't the only surprise: Post Malone debuted a brand-new song, "Never Love You Again," which bled into his huge new single with Morgan Wallen "I Had Some Help." Wallen did not perform.

Instead, afterward, McEntire joined Post Malone to duet a little bit of the Allman Brothers Band's "Ramblin' Man" in tribute to Dickey Betts, who died last month. He was 80.

Earlier in the evening, Luke Combs - the most nominated artist of the night, with eight - took home single of the year for his cover of Tracy Chapman's "Fast Car." Last year, Chapman's 1988 song won song of the year at the Country Music Awards for Combs' cover, making her the first Black songwriter to win in the category.

Dan and Shay and Old Dominion took home the prize for duo and group of the year, respectively.

Performances hit fast and furious: Jelly Roll launched into a rocking rendition of his new song "Liar," followed closely by Kelsea Ballerini with Noah Kahan - doing her song "Mountain with a View" into his viral hit "Stick Season."

Tigirlily Gold did "I Tried A Ring On," Texas-born Cody Johnson brought his "Dirt Cheap," and Miranda Lambert debuted her new single "Wranglers."

Kane Brown did a moving cover of "Georgia On My Mind." Thomas Rhett did "Beautiful As You" and everyone's favorite couple Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani brought the lovely "Purple Irises" to the ACM stage.

Park McCollum did his hit "Burn It Down," new male artist of the year winner Nate Smith and pop-punk powerhouse Avril Lavigne performed their new one, "Bulletproof," and host McEntire closed out the show with her new single, "I Can't."

The ACM Awards were livestreamed on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch Live.
