Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Ending Explained (In Detail)

Star wars jedi: survivor interview — writers danny homan & pete stewart break down dagan gera's emotional story, wait, does cal kestis even have a canon lightsaber color.

  • Star Wars Jedi: Survivor offers a New Journey + mode for players to replay the game with new challenges.
  • Players can start New Journey + after beating the game.
  • Upon starting New Game Plus, three new perks are also unlocked.

Once someone has beaten the main story campaign of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , the fun doesn't have to end, as the adventure can then be played fresh with its version of New Game Plus, called New Journey +. This mode gives more of a challenge for Cal and fun ways to experience the game differently with new perks, unlocks, and possibilities. The first time anyone plays through a game this detailed and large, it is natural that a lot of content could easily be missed out on, so having these incentives to go back and enjoy it again can be a good way to see more of the lore and story that might have passed players by originally.

Of course, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can take around thirty hours to beat the game once, but for those who have enjoyed the experience and want to see what they missed or just try out different perks or lightsaber stances , going for a second or even third playthrough can be a tempting proposition. Many games offer an NG+ mode to keep the action going and encourage replayability, and Jedi: Survivor continues this tradition. In this game, they have titled NG+ to be New Journey + to flow better with the initial Journey theme, and it provides players with several fun inducements to try it out.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's final chapters are extremely tumultuous, putting Cal Kestis and the Stinger Mantis crew through their greatest test yet.

How To Start New Journey + In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Ng+ begins after beating the game on any difficulty.

In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , players will automatically unlock the New Journey + mode after successfully finishing the game on any of the difficulty settings. After the credits roll, the game shows players some brief explanations of what the new mode is and a bit about what they will get out of trying it out. Then, to start the more advanced NG+ playthrough, all players have to do is go back to the main menu screen and select " Start New Journey + " from the listed options, and the adventure begins anew.

What Cal Brings With Him Into The New Game +

Cal's new journey can begin with refreshed skills.

Starting over isn't so bad when Cal gets to bring a lot of his stuff with him from the first time around. The New Journey + mode makes the enemies a lot stronger, but it all evens out, given that Cal is also much stronger than he was initially. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor , players get to start the story over from the beginning while still having the skill points they earned in the first playthrough, and some new unlocks are provided.

Cal's skill points are refunded to him, letting players mix things up and try different arrangements than they had done in the previous run. This is a perfect opportunity to try different options and experiment with skills that didn't get much use before.

Because map upgrades carry over, it's a great idea to try to collect these in the first playthrough before beginning New Journey +

New Journey + in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is a good time for players to try to find any collectibles they missed the first time playing the game. It is important to note that not only do all collectibles that have been found remain with Cal, but the chests will also remain open to quickly signal to the player which things have already been found to help them not waste too much time searching. Thanks to map upgrades carrying over, collectibles will be seen on the map from the beginning of New Journey +.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Lead Writer Danny Homan & Senior Writer Pete Stewart break down Dagan Gera's emotional story and High Republic canon.

Every Perk Added For New Journey + In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Three free perks are unlocked.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor 's second playthrough in New Journey + mode gives players three new perks: Purity, Warrior, and Trendsetter. These perks can be turned on or off in-game and include different bonuses.

If players don't pay attention, they may be surprised by the challenge at the start of NG+. The default settings for the New Journey + have the Warrior Perk automatically equipped , which makes all the enemies significantly more difficult right from the start. This can be removed or changed at the first Meditation Circle that Cal finds on Coruscant, but until then, Cal may have a bit of a rude awakening, especially for anyone not aware of this. All other Perks, Stances, and Skills are automatically unequipped at the beginning of the NG+ and need to be selected anew at the Meditation Circle.

Abilities that are learned through story progression are not carried over.

Cosmetic Unlocks For New Game + In Jedi: Survivor

New journey + begins with the party blade lightsaber.

The party is just getting started in this NG+ option with the bonus lightsaber colors. As part of the bonuses, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gives players a special Party Blade that cycles through rainbow colors when they start over. Also, for those who want to pretend they are Sith, a red blade option is now unlocked for Cal's lightsaber. All other lightsaber blades, as well as all cosmetics, carry over from the first playthrough to the next.

Players can choose between a variety of lightsaber options in Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars: Jedi titles, but what's his canonical color?

What Does Not Carry Over In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor New Journey +

Force powers are still unlocked through story progression.

Because of the way the story campaign of the game is designed to progress, even though Cal starts New Journey + with his skills and powers unlocked, players will still not have access to use all of his Force powers until they are unlocked during the natural progression of the narrative. While this can be disappointing, it makes sense or else it could cause some sequence-breaking issues in the story advancement if Cal already has each ability.

Many video games recently have been adding NG+ modes as an option to help encourage players in their replayability. This game's predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, did not offer a NG+ mode until about six months after it was released. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has it available for everyone who has enjoyed their first run of the game and now wants to go back and take their time getting all the collectibles and seeing anything they missed originally.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor - New Game Plus And New Lightsaber Colors Guide

Complete the campaign to earn goodies in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

By Jason Rodriguez on April 27, 2023 at 1:23PM PDT

Your journey in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor can last dozens of hours. Eventually, though, the story has to end. Still, there's more to do once you're done with the campaign. Here's our guide to help you with New Game Plus and new Lightsaber colors in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor New Game Plus and new Lightsaber colors guide

You'll unlock the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor New Game Plus option after defeating the final boss and clearing the campaign. But, before we get to that, we have to mention that you can still continue playing the game using your main save. All planets and areas that you've been to before can be revisited, so you can freely acquire collectibles and complete rumors/sidequests at your leisure.

What carries over in New Game Plus

As for the Star Wars Jedi Survivor New Game Plus mode, you should see the Start New Journey+ option on the main menu. This will create a separate save file to differentiate it from your initial run.

There are some caveats when you begin a New Game Plus run. For instance, all your abilities will be reset. These consist of special actions, such as grapple upgrades or being able to pass through green barriers . You have to reacquire them once more.

Fancy role-playing as a Sith Lord? Although it's just a cosmetic, you can have a red Lightsaber.

Still, a bunch of stuff will be carried over:

  • Lightsaber stances - You can use Crossguard or Blaster Stance early on, though you still need to gain access to a Meditation Point.
  • Cosmetics - Every new design for Cal Kestis, BD-1, Lightsabers, Blasters, and various color palettes will be available. Their respective chests will be empty on your next run.
  • Resources - You get to keep all your resource collectibles. You won't be able to grab the same ones on your next run. As for the NPCs themselves, you need to unlock their function, either via story progression or sidequest completion. You can learn more in our resource collectibles and vendors guide .
  • Skill points - All the skill points you've amassed will carry over, but they'll be reset. You'd have to reallocate them. You can learn more in our best skills guide .
  • Perks - There are 25 perks/passives for your to discover, but only 22 will be available on your initial run. All of these will be retained when you start your New Game Plus campaign. You'll also receive three additional perks, which we detail below.

A New Game Plus perk remixes encounters, which could mean facing DT Sentry Droids as early as Coruscant.

New Lightsaber colors and perks

Apart from the above, you'll also be able to unlock new perks and new Lightsaber colors in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. These perks don't count toward the perk slot limit. As such, you can activate all three of them or none at all.

  • Warrior - Replaces standard enemies with more difficult combat encounters.
  • Purity - Increases the damage dealt by Cal, friendlies, and enemies.
  • Trendsetter - Randomize your equipped cosmetics on character death.

As for the Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Lightsaber colors, you'll receive two: Red (for those who are fans of the Sith), and Party (which is a multi-color option). These are not palettes for the parts, but actual blade colors. You can make changes once you gain access to a workbench.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor is a massive, open-world game, with numerous facets and secrets to discover. You can learn more in our guides hub .

Many modern role-playing and action-adventure games include New Game+, which essentially allows players to start a new game with most or all of the progress they made during a previously completed playthrough. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor includes a New Game+ (which the title technically refers to as "New Journey Plus") for players to utilize in order to retrieve any collectibles they may have missed and experience gameplay in a brand-new way during each subsequent playthrough.

Jedi: Survivor 's New Game+ comes with a host of additions and changes for players to enjoy. These changes include three new Perks, two new lightsaber blades, and the ability to reorient skill trees according to preference. Here is a thorough breakdown of everything Jedi: Survivor 's New Game+ adds, takes away, and carries over.

RELATED: What Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Players Should Know Before They Start

Jedi: Survivor's New Game Plus Adds Three New Perks

A unique addition to Jedi: Survivor is its Perks, which essentially give Cal bonuses to stats like his damage output, Life regeneration, and block meter. These Perks can be acquired in a number of ways, from purchasing them from vendors to completing Jedi Chambers . When players start New Game+ in Jedi: Survivor , they'll receive three new Perks for free: Warrior, Purity, and Trendsetter.

The Warrior Perk comes automatically equipped when players start New Game+, and it increases the challenge by replacing standard enemies with new, more difficult combat encounters. Although it comes automatically equipped at the start of New Game+, it can still be unequipped at any time via any Meditation Point. The Purity Perk is a "glass cannon" Perk that massively increases weapon damage for Cal, his friends, and his foes, so players desiring a more realistic combat experience should equip it upon starting New Game+. Finally, the Trendsetter Perk is the fun-factor Perk of the three, as it randomizes Cal's equipped cosmetics upon death. This Perk pulls from the pool of any cosmetics players have acquired during their time with the game, and it can make for some rather interesting (and often comical) looks for Cal.

Cal Receives Two New Lightsaber Blades

Jedi: Survivor comes with plenty of customization options, including the ability to alter the appearance of Cal, his weaponry, and BD-1. New Game+ adds two new lightsaber blade colors to the mix, allowing Cal to wield a Red Blade or the colorful Party Blade. While the Red Blade is self-explanatory, the Party Blade changes its color after every attack, and with a pool of 10 colors, it really does make combat look like a party

Skill Points Are Refunded & Abilities Are Reset

Every Skill Point is refunded at the start of Jedi: Survivor 's New Game+, and while this makes for a rather time-consuming process of unlocking skills again, players will be pleased to know that they can continue to earn even more Skill Points as they play through the game a second time. On top of that, players will find earning more Skill Points to be a much quicker process than expected, as the amount of experience it takes to earn them is not exponentially increased on a second playthrough.

RELATED: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor's Bacta Tank Reveal Could Change the Franchise

The downside to Jedi: Survivor 's New Game+ is that all abilities are reset. This only includes the abilities that Cal learns as the story progresses, like Dash or Lift and Slam, and they can only be relearned by reaching the point in the narrative where they are unlocked. The good news, however, is that players will start each New Game+ with all lightsaber stances already unlocked, so they can begin using their favorites stances right away.

All Collectibles Carry Over

The final feature included in Jedi: Survivor 's New Game+ is the progress carryover of all collectibles from the previous playthrough. This includes chests, Essences, Databank entries, Force Tears, Treasures, and Seed Pods. Chests that were opened previously will still be opened, Force Tears that were completed will still be completed, and as collected Essences provide Cal with Life and Force upgrades, players will begin their New Game+ adventure with these upgrades already applied.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor New Journey +: What carries over, new perks and unlocks

By matthew liebl | apr 29, 2023.

EA / Respawn

Have you already beaten the main story of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor? Ready for a new challenge? Like its 2019 predecessor, Jedi: Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features a New Journey + option . This is the equivalent of a New Game Plus seen in other action-adventure games.

New Journey + is a way to continue your adventures as Cal Kestis. Once you complete your first playthrough, you’ll be able to access this new mode through the main menu. Doing so will create a separate save file so you won’t lose access to that initial playthrough if you ever want to go back.

Although New Journey + acts as a brand-new playthrough, restarting the story, you aren’t starting entirely from scratch. Not only does some of your progress from the main game — like skills and stances — carry over, but you’ll also unlock new perks.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor: What carries over into New Journey +

When starting New Journey +, you’ll actually have access to quite a few things from your previous journey. All of your Lightsaber Stances will already be unlocked, and your Skill Points will be refunded, allowing you to spend them immediately, and possibly experiment with a new character build. This is a great way to replay the game while not having the feeling of starting entirely from scratch, which I know can be a turn-off for many players. Additionally, all of the cosmetics you’ve unlocked will also carry over , including your Lightsaber colors.

The only thing that’s really reset is Cal’s abilities. This is to prevent you from skipping entire sections of the game. You’ll also need to reach your first Meditation Point before you can actually change your Lightsaber Stance.

New Lightsaber Blades

Speaking of Lightsaber colors, you’ll actually get two new ones for starting New Journey +. For fans who have always desired to turn Cal into a Sith, you’ll get the chance with a Red Lightsaber blade. There’s also a multi-color Party Lightsaber blade that you’ll get.

Three New Perks

Perhaps the most exciting part about New Journey + is the three new Perks you’ll get. These are Purity, Warrior and Trendsetter. Here’s what each one does if you toggle it on:

  • Purity: Grants a massive increase in weapon damage for both friends and foes
  • Warrior: Replaces standard enemies with new, more difficult combat encounters
  • Trendsetter: Randomizes your cosmetics on death
dark. Next. Is Mark Hamill in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor?

If you’re looking for an added challenge, Purity and Warrior seem like an ideal combination. Trendsetter just seems like a fun one.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor features one of the greatest Star Wars stories in recent years. There is plenty more to do for those who complete the game with additional bosses, collectibles, and a new game plus mode. Unlike Fallen Order , Star Wars Jedi: Survivor has launched with a new game-plus feature. This gives players a chance to replay the game with some awesome additions.

RELATED: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Gets Update On PS5, Xbox

But why should players start this new mode? This guide will explain how players can unlock New Game Plus as well as some of the features that come with the additional mode.

What is New Game Plus?

New Game Plus is an additional game mode that players can unlock after completing the entirety of the main story. The mode restarts the player's game with all the previously unlocked stances , cosmetics, and perk points, allowing for a much more free experience with the gameplay.

Unfortunately, abilities such as dash will need to be unlocked again as they affect the structuring of the campaign and stop the player from interacting with story-related areas or items. Overall, this mode helps to improve the already fantastic replayability of the game and allows players to experience amazing storytelling all over again.

RELATED: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor’s Final Planet is a Bit of a Let Down

Most single players story games feature their own version of New Game Plus. Survivor implements this mode in a similar fashion, with all cosmetic and weapon unlocks continued but with some abilities removed for storytelling purposes.

How to Unlock New Game Plus

After completing the main campaign, players will be given the option to start over again using New Game Plus or continue exploring the worlds and fighting enemies. Once the campaign is completed, the player needs to head to the main menu. Underneath "Start New Journey," there will be a new option that says "Start New Journey Plus."

For those who want to continue collecting cosmetics and other items, it's best to hold off on New Game Plus and continue exploring. However, if the player is happy with their cosmetics, they can start New Game Plus right away. That said, all the collectibles and cosmetics can still be found in New Game Plus, but the player must unlock locations, such as Jedha and the Broken Moon , again.

New Features

New lightsaber colors.

The New Game Plus mode features new lightsaber colors allowing for further customization for players. At the first workbench on the mantis, players will have the option to apply the red lightsaber color to their saber. This can be changed further in the game.

Additionally, there is a "party" mode for the lightsaber. This changes the color of the saber every time the player parries or attacks an opponent.

New Game Plus also adds 3 new perks for the player to choose from; Trendsetter, Purity, and Warrior.

The Warrior perk adds more difficult enemy types to each encounter without directly changing the difficulty of the game. This can be a nice change of pace for those who want more of a challenge without changing the core mechanics of combat .

The Trendsetter perk changes all the player's cosmetics on each death. Although this doesn't directly change the game, it is fun to see all the cosmetics unlocked throughout the time playing.

RELATED: Star Wars Jedi: Survivor – How to Beat Dagan Gera

Finally, the Purity perk increases all damage output from enemies and allies. This does increase the difficulty but provides a much more rewarding experience.

More Additions

After the launch of Fallen Order, the developers added a lot of post-launch content for players to return to. Although none of these were considered expansions to the base game, they did add New Game Plus post-launch.

In Survivor , there is already most of the post-launch features from Fallen Order (such as New Game Plus and the practice arena). It will be interesting to see what features the developers add to Survivor to keep players returning to the game.

Difficulty Change

After launching Jedi Survivor 's New Game Plus, players will be granted the option to change the game's difficulty; however, this can again be changed at any point during the campaign, so it is still not a fixed choice. Players can keep the difficulty the same as their previous save, but it can be far more rewarding to take on a more challenging playthrough.

Why Play New Game Plus?

There are numerous benefits to starting a New Game Plus save. However, it's good to understand the pros and cons of continuing a save vs. starting a new game.

If players are looking for a new challenge, the additional perks and change of difficulty can really change how the player approaches different areas of the game. For those simply looking for additional cosmetic updates , New Game Plus brings a host of new options for lightsaber customization and fun cosmetic gimmicks.

Players will have to unlock each location again. However, with the changes to gameplay through the perks, this is an enjoyable process as the game introduces some extremely difficult enemy types early on in the campaign. For example, flame troopers can be found during the first mission on Coruscant , whereas, in the normal game, they are introduced much later.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.

Does Jedi Survivor Have New Game Plus? – Answered

Image of Daniel Wenerowicz

So you’ve finished the main story in Jedi Survivor, or you are planning ahead for the future of your latest journey with Cal Kestis. That means you’re looking ahead toward something like a New Game Plus mode, which has become the standard for so many single-player action-adventure games.

Fallen Order, the previous game, had a New Game Plus mode that was called “New Journey Plus,” which was essentially the same thing. However, it wasn’t available until after the launch. Jedi Survivor does have a New Game Plus mode at launch, so you can start as soon as the main story ends. There are some differences and rewards, though, and we’ll cover them all in this guide.

Jedi Survivor – How Does New Journey Plus Work?

Once you’ve completed the main story with Cal Kestis, you can continue exploring the galaxy, or you can start a New Game Plus file. Just like Fallen Order, the mode is called “New Journey Plus” and must be started from the main menu rather than in-game like some other titles.

When the New Game Plus mode begins, you’ll unlock access to the Red Lightsaber Color and the Party Lightsaber Color. You’ll also retain all the Lightsaber Stances you’ve unlocked in the game, like the Crossguard , and all of the customization items you’ve found for Cal Kestsi. You can’t keep everything, though.

What you’ll lose in the Jedi Survivor New Game Plus is any of the unlockable abilities from the story. So that means no more air dashing until you reach that point in the story. All of your skill points will be refunded as well, but you can redistribute them to your liking. And, of course, you’ll be able to select your difficulty for the new run in Jedi Survivor.

Everything you can do in Star Wars Jedi Survivor after finishing the main story

This guide will tell you some of the things you can do once you’ve finished Jedi Survivor’s main story. This will be especially useful for those attempting to 100% the game.

Get All Perks and Perk Slots to alter your gameplay

Perks grant different passive effects that alter your gameplay in Star Wars Jedi Survivor. There’s a total of 25 unique perks available and you can get them by completing puzzles, exploring different planets, defeating an enemy, and even when completing the story for the first time.

Using different perks is the best and easiest way to make your Jedi Survivor experience something completely unique and challenging if you want it. On the other hand, it can also make you feel like an invincible monster. There’s no right or bad approach, it’s just personal preference.

Perks are one of the best gameplay customization options and combined with the possibilityt of pairing new stances, can transform the game into a totally new experience.

Perks can be divided into offensive, defensive, and utility. It’s up to you to decide which ones to use depending on your playstyle.

At the beginning of the game, you will have access only to 3 perk slots but you can unlock up to 10! This will open a huge amount of possibilities to make things more interesting. Keep in mind that many perks can use two or even three perk slots. Personally, I’d love to see how the gameplay would be with all perk slots equipped but that’s not possible.

For more info, check out our Perks Guide and Locations Catalog . We also have comprehensive Lightsaber Stance Pairing Guides .

Need more challenges? Defeat All Legendary Enemies

Completing the story is something very rewarding in itself, but returning to combat standard enemies can be a little underwhelming after fighting enemies like Dagan Gera , Bode Akuna , and Darth Vader .

If you want a challenge that may (or may not) be as frustrating as the main boss fights of the game then defeating every legendary enemy might be a good option for you.

There’s a total of eleven legendary enemies, most of them are upgraded versions of units like Droidekas, Sentry Droids, B2 Super Battle Droids, Mogus, Goroccos, and more. But there are two of them that are in a league of their own.

The first one is the all-mighty Rancor , you probably have already defeated it since it’s one of the first side missions in Koboh but if not, this is the perfect moment to do so.

What makes it hard to defeat all legendary enemies is without a doubt beating the Spawn of Oggdo . It’s not even close to the other legendary enemies, including the Rancor. The Spawn of Oggdo is considered by the community more of a meme fight due to how ridiculously hard it is to defeat.

This boss fight is hilarious, frustrating, and incredibly satisfying once you beat it. Compared to Oggdo Bogdo, every other legendary enemy is nothing.

To learn where to find every legendary enemy check out the Legendary Adversaries Locations Guide .

There are many characters that can be recruited. One of them is Skoova Stev, he’s a strange fellow with a passion for fishing. There’s a fish tank at Pyloon Saloon that is empty and incredibly dirty when you arrive at Koboh for the first time, but there’s something you can do to leave it clean and habitable.

Saying that Cal is going to fish is not exactly accurate. After recruiting Skoova Stev, he will clean the fish tank and add new species. Before that, you must get these new species.

To get all fish species, simply find Skoova Stev in all possible locations . Remember to interact with him and wait for the fish to be caught. Next time you go to Pyloon Saloon, the tank will have new species swimming in there.

Make A Beautiful Garden

You read that right, gardening is an actual thing in Jedi Survivor. Personally, I’m not the biggest fan but it’s necessary if you’re trying to get all achievements.

While you can technically access the Garden on top of the Pyloon Saloon as soon as you get to the building for the first time, you can more easily access it when the stairs are unlocked after completing the  Forest Array .

To unlock the ability to expand the garden, you’ll need to recruit Pili Walde. You can recruit Pili on your second trip to Jedha when you’re journeying to the  Pilgrim’s Sanctuary .

Pili will be in a small cave in a stone spire where she’ll be growing a small garden in the Blustery Mesa. Talk to her to recruit her and you’ll find her in the garden on Koboh the next time you visit.

You will start with just a single garden plot, to unlock more you only need to fill it with plants. But first, you have to find all types of seeds on Koboh . There are small, medium, and big seeds. One thing that I find really cool is that every seed has multiple color variations.

Play Holotactics

Games inside a game aren’t my cup of tea. I remember playing Pazaak in Knights of the Old Republic and Gwent in The Witcher 3 , it is entertaining for a few matches but nothing more.

When I learned about Holotactics my first thought was “great, another boring game” but I had to eat my word because Holotactics is actually entertaining, easy to understand, and requires a strategy that anyone could think of.

Holotactics is a minigame you can unlock in the Pyloon Saloon. You and your opponent will have numerous units comprised of enemies you fight throughout Jedi Survivor.

You must pit your fighters against one another and see who comes out on top! There’s some element to random chance as you’re pitting the AI against itself, but a good strategy will help you prevail!

You can choose units from the Galactic Empire, Bedlam Raiders, and the wild fauna. At the beginning of each round, you’re granted a certain amount of points that you can spend on different units. The stronger a unit is, the more points it costs.

After experimenting with different units and positioning, anyone can learn how to defeat each opponent. It might take less time for people who have experience with TCGs or RTS games but it isn’t something that requires you to invest dozens of hours.

If you don’t want to spend a lot of time theorizing or you’re simply not interested in the game, use our guide on how to defeat every opponent in Holotactics .

Complete All Fractured Force Tears Challenges

Fractured Force Tears are a group of challenges that must be completed to earn the “Blood, Sweat, and Tears” achievement .

Some of the Force Tear challenges are puzzles that you have to solve quickly, smartly, and often using parkour gameplay. Others task you to defeat specific enemies or waves of enemies often limiting you to a specific lightsaber stance. This is great for practicing all Lightsaber Stances!

Some of the Fractured Force Tear challenges featuring combat encounters can be incredibly tough to beat, while others feel like a walk in the park. To better prepare for the tough ones, I highly recommend that you gain Skill Points and improve your HP and Force meters by discovering all Health Essence and Force Essence locations in the game.

Parkour puzzles might take you a considerable amount of tries before succeeding. My best advice is to be patient and learn as much as you can from your mistakes.

On the other hand, most battles are super easy and even fun but there are three that are very tough. One requires you to fight three legendary enemies, another puts you against two Rancors, and the hardest one will revive the nightmare of facing the Spawn of Oggdo, multiplied by two…

Fractured Force Tears are located in Koboh, Jedha, and the Shattered Moon. For detailed walkthroughs, read our Force Tears Locations guide .

Find And Complete All High Republic Chambers

The High Republic had a huge influence on Jedi Survivor’s story and context. As a result of this, there are many High Republic temples spread around Koboh, all of them with secrets that require you to complete puzzles.

They might appear simple, but solving the puzzle of each chamber might take you more time than you’d like. People who are into puzzles will really enjoy it.

We have a guide showing you how to find and access all High Republic Chambers on Koboh. And we have individual guides to each Chamber showing you how to solve the puzzle and 100% explore and find all Collectibles inside.

Explore The Vast Worlds Of Koboh And Jedha

If you don’t want to have challenging combats or break your head with puzzles, there’s always the option of exploring. Both Koboh and Jedha are huge and there are tons of secrets to be found.

Hearing funny conversations between NPCs or making the wild fauna attack Imperial Troopers or Bedlam Raiders is super fun but my favorite activity is looking for cool easter eggs .

It doesn’t matter if it’s a Stormtrooper talking to himself about life, B2 Battle Droids arguing about who’s the superior droid, items from the Clone Wars, or even a posing Wampa .

I could spend hours and hours looking for cool easter eggs, obviously, not everyone might enjoy this activity but if you do, you should give it a try.

Defeat Every Bounty Hunter

The Haxion Brood is a group that has been after Cal Kestis since Jedi Fallen Order . Before Jedi Survivor, the Mantis Crew defeated countless Haxion Brood hunters but it seems to never end. For every hunter defeated two more appear, and Jedi Survivor continues this “tradition”.

Caij Vanda is a shady woman that likes to spend her time gambling and making a profit. Since Fallen Order, the price for Cal’s head has increased a lot. This is Caij’s territory so she “helps” Cal by giving him the locations of all sixteen bounty hunters.

The only thing that I don’t like about this is that you must defeat one bounty hunter before learning the location of the next one.

For better or worse, almost none of them are worthy opponents so it shouldn’t take long before defeating all of them. Once you do it, a final encounter will be unlocked. Prepare to meet the greatest Bounty Hunter of this era.

You can check our guide to every Bounty Hunter location .

Start A New Journey+ And Make It Spicier

All of the experience and items are transferred when you start New Journey + . You will be able to replay the game while keeping all of the upgrades you have unlocked and earned from your previous playthrough.

There are many players that love challenges and nerve-wracking difficulty. Completing Jedi Survivor on its highest difficulty is certainly rewarding. Even if Jedi Survivor isn’t as difficult as Elden Ring , Bloodborne, or any of the Soul games, it can still be very hard if you set it up properly.

These are the steps that you need to follow in order to do it: Set the game to Jedi Grand Master difficulty. Then, equip the Purity and Warrior perks. This will make you receive more damage and the enemies will be stronger.

These perks combined with Jedi Grand Master Difficulty will make even a small pack of Rawkas deadly for Cal. Have fun!

Look for Bode’s Echoes

Bode’s betrayal was unexpected for many of us. Since the beginning of the game, Bode became a valuable ally and good friend of Cal Kestis. His sad story made it very easy to empathize with a man that just wants a galaxy where his daughter can live in peace.

If there’s something that Star Wars has taught us, is that not everyone is completely bad or completely good. Bode was always a double agent but he actually developed a strong bond with Cal, obviously not strong enough to prevent him from shooting Master Cordova and calling the Empire but we know that he had at least some kind of appreciation for the young Jedi.

After finishing the main story, you’re able to return to almost all locations on every planet and find new Force Echoes. These Force Echoes give a deep insight into Bode’s thoughts before, during, and after his infiltration.

I always find it very interesting to learn about a villain’s motivations and thought processes, especially when it isn’t fueled by something like hate or revenge. Love can push anyone to do terrible things and Bode Akuna is the perfect example of it.

Buy All Available Items

One of the things where Jedi Survivor really outshines Fallen Order is the customizing aspect. There are so many things to get: BD-1 parts , lightsaber components , outfits , and even hairstyles !

Some can be found in chests but many others can only be purchased from different vendors. To purchase the items from any vendors, you must have enough of the respective currency. The main currencies are Priorite Shards, Datadiscs, and Jedha Scrolls.

Priorite Shards are practically everywhere, these are used to buy from Doma Dendra. Datadiscs can only be found in High Republic ruins. Exchange them with Zee in Pyloon Saloon. Jedha Scrolls are exclusive to Jedha and Sister Taske is the vendor that accepts them.

Aside from Outfits, BD-1 parts, hairstyles, and lightsaber/blaster components, you can also buy perk slots, music tracks, and even abilities.

For more detailed information, read our Vendors and Resources Guide .

Find All Map Upgrades

There’s a total of five Map Upgrades in Jedi Survivor. Some require completing challenges while others can be found while exploring. Getting all five Map Upgrades will let you see Seed Pods, Chests, Upgrades, Treasures, and Databanks on your map.

Map upgrades are probably the most useful thing in Jedi Survivor. This is crucial if you are attempting to 100% the game. The best thing about map upgrades is that they will save you from spending hours searching for that last item you’re missing.

Get Every Achievement, 100% Jedi Survivor!

If you’ve read this far, it probably means that you’re thinking of completing the game. It’s not the hardest thing to do but it will certainly consume a decent amount of time.

In Star Wars Jedi Survivor you can unlock achievements by multiple means. Some are gained by progressing through the game story or by completing certain challenges. There are a total of 53 achievements available!

Getting all achievements is more of a bragging rights thing but having that “100% complete” sign on your profile feels so good. Plus, you can get some goodies by fulfilling the requirements for achievements in the form of customizations, Perks, and more!

There are a total of 23 Hidden Achievements you can get in Jedi Survivor. These tend to be gained through challenging or inconspicuous means. Everything you need to know about it is explained in our Jedi Survivor Achievements list guide .

Jedi: Survivors Sequel Can Already Learn a Thing from Star Wars Outlaws

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor ’s sequel hasn’t been revealed yet as it’s likely still in early development. If its huge cliffhanger on Tanalorr with Kata Akuna being adopted into Cal Kestis and the Stinger Mantis crew’s found family wasn’t enough to guarantee a third game, however, one was also quietly confirmed earlier this year. It’s unknown if the sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be the final installment of a trilogy or if Respawn wishes to defy that Star Wars storytelling trope, but it’ll be interesting to see how much gameplay is iterated on or changed in this upcoming entry.

Unless more Star Wars Jedi games are being planned it wouldn’t make much sense for Respawn to debut a bunch of new systems. This wouldn’t be completely out of the ordinary for a third and final installment of a franchise, though, since Rocksteady chose to end its Batman: Arkham trilogy with a functional Batmobile . Either way, unique gameplay could surely help in making a third Star Wars Jedi game distinct and modeling a stealth feature after the one in Star Wars Outlaws could be its ticket to greatness without having to forsake its Frankenstein’s monster of a genre amalgamation with Soulslike and action-adventure/platformer roots.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivors Sequel May Be in a Tough Spot as a Platformer

The Star Wars Jedi series is heavily rooted in platforming with epic set-piece sequences and Survivor's sequel needs to embrace that identity.

Star Wars Outlaws Stealth Wouldnt Be Out of Place in Respawns Star Wars Jedi Franchise

Ubisoft obviously knows its way around open-world stealth thanks to its storied history with Assassin’s Creed and so those characteristics should presumably be favorable despite how formulaic they might turn out to be in Star Wars Outlaws . Massive never developed an Assassin’s Creed game, to be fair, but the stealth it’s shown thus far seems competent and properly representative of Kay Vess’ capabilities as a morally ambiguous scoundrel .

Stealth in an action-adventure game is best when it’s a valid and rewarding option rather than the only option, and the mechanics Star Wars Outlaws grants players in stealth gives it the impression that players can use violent means to achieve their goals whether they need to stick a blaster in someone’s face or knock them unconscious from behind without ever being discovered. What’s more intriguing, however, is how Kay can direct her merqaal companion Nix to interact with the environment unseen .

It wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility to see Cal direct his droid companion BD-1 in the same way, even if such a feature would be an identical copy-and-paste of Star Wars Outlaws . Otherwise, crouching and sneaking could be even more exhilarating in a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor sequel since players would presumably be able to take unsuspecting enemies out by igniting Cal’s lightsaber into their backs.

Why Stealth is Unlikely Now in Star Wars Jedis Future

Even if Star Wars Jedi was going to feature stealth, its most salient ship would have already sailed. Stealth would’ve been poignant in Fallen Order when Cal was purposefully hiding from the Empire and even though he’s a known refugee in Survivor it still would’ve been neat to see how stealth tactics could be implemented when a full-on assault may have been undesirable.

To introduce stealth now could seem like a regression of Cals character because hes become outspoken about his plight and went through an arc in Fallen Order where he confessed to BD-1 that he doesnt want to live in hiding anymore since thats no way for a Jedi to live.

Still, that shouldn’t mean he needs to walk down his enemies with a lightsaber brandished and hope for the best. Instead, employing stealth could allow for gameplay the series hasn’t seen yet, which would be particularly nuanced and profound if he was being hunted by Inquisitors and forced into hiding with the Stinger Mantis crew again.
