What would you wear if you knew you would be in the same room as Beyoncé ? Or better yet, what would you wear to impress Blue Ivy? We can’t even imagine where we’d start, but at the premiere of the long-awaited Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé in Beverly Hills, stars and A-listers alike had this prompt to guide them. The theme was “cozy opulence,” which is just as vague as incredibly cool. To us, “cozy opulence” means donning our best sweatpants with maybe the addition of some sparkly jewelry. For stars like Chloe Bailey, Janelle Monáe, and Kelly Rowland, among others, this meant wearing their most fabulous, high-drama gowns. For Queen Bee Beyoncé, this meant making an entrance in a custom silver chainmail Versace dress that was a nod to the tour’s silver-themed futuristic aesthetic.

Per reports, the 29-time Grammy winner walked the silver carpet fashionably late as the lights dimmed. She sparkled in a strapless gown made of Versace's signature chainmail fabrication, best described by Donatella Versace as a “Vision in Versace.” Beyoncé accessorized her Atelier Versace look with matching silver latex gloves that tapered off just below the star's shoulders. Also worth noting was Beyoncé's platinum blonde hair , which enhanced her ensemble's overall light-reflecting, metallic effect.

Beyonce Versace dress Renaissance premiere

The silver chainmail gown looked divine on the singer, who, in the past year, has propelled silver-toned looks into the mainstream thanks to her chrome dress code for the "Renaissance" tour. Substantiated by a surplus of designers also showing the bright shade on their runways (Coach, Nensi Dojaka, Gabriela Hearst, and more), metallic styles have been at the helm of trends throughout the year—and for good reason. The metal shades are a much-needed departure from our minimalist wardrobe that dominates our day-to-day and isn't too out-there to discount. Silver jewelry , silver shoes, or a silver dress à la Beyoncé—we see something shiny in the future. Plus, with party season on the way, there’s no better time to invest.

If you weren't able to snag a ticket to the "Renaissance" tour but still want an opportunity to show off an "Alien Superstar"-inspired outfit, here's an idea. Why not sport a silver-charged look when you see Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé, which releases to the public on Dec. 1st? The 3-hour film documents behind-the-scenes moments and performance footage of the blockbuster tour that ended earlier this year in October. You can find the final trailer for the film on Beyoncé’s Instagram.

Below, you’ll find silver maxi, midi, and mini-length dresses across budgets. In true Beyoncé fashion, we've also added chain mail styles to shop. Although a metallic dress can be intimidating to style (It’s surely a departure from our go-to LBF), a silver style can be a boost of confidence for occasions when that attitude is needed the most.

Scoll onward for our edit of silver dresses that'll help you channel your inner Beyoncé.

Every Look From Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour, From Custom Catsuits to Disco-Inspired Couture

Beyonce performs wearing Balenciaga

Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour began with a bang in Stockholm and it hasn't slowed down since. The highly-anticipated show has featured inventive set design, a decades-spanning setlist, and a plethora of standout style moments—from to archival pieces to custom looks and nearly everything in between. The star’s wardrobe has combined her signature style with the visual ethos of the album Renaissance ( think lots of sequins, silver, catsuits, and the occasional bee-inspired look). Beyoncé has also been wearing looks from brands specific to the city she’s performing in—for the UK leg of her tour she wore picks from the London-based Mary Katrantzou and Robert Wun while in Marseille, France she opted for a look by designer Simon Porte Jacquemus.

The singer has donned looks from both established brands—Valentino, Mugler, lots of Alexander McQueen, among others—as well as smaller labels like Anrealage and Brandon Blackwood. Balmain catsuits and mini dresses have been a constant throughout her tour wardrobe (in March, she partnered with creative director Olivier Rousteing to design a Renaissance couture line for the brand ) as well as imaginative pieces from Loewe. Beyoncé began the tour in Europe which has seen her in London, Paris, and other cities with the last being Warsaw, Poland on June 28th. She will then head to North America with her last date coming in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 27th. Needless to say, there will be countless more style moments to come—so, to make sure you don’t miss one look, keep checking back here as we keep track of everything Beyoncé has worn during the Renaissance world tour.

Unlike her previous printed mini dress from the British designer, this red number had plenty of sequins throughout as well as an asymmetrical train detail. She rounded things out with patent leather boots, a ruby belt, and pendant necklace.

Beyoncé wears a custom Ivy Park pink bodysuit during her Renaissance world tour.

The McQueen look wasn’t the only repurposed silhouette Beyoncé wore in Nashville. She opted for a pink Ivy Park jacket, halter top, and shorts that are, again, a shorter iteration of a similar bodysuit she previously wore in Europe. She also mixed in a pair of custom Tiffany & Co. sunglasses and Gedebe boots to make things even more Renaissance worthy.

Beyoncé wears a custom Valentino look during the Philadelphia stop of her 'Renaissance' world tour.

Beyoncé certainly leaned into some drama (and disco) with this custom Valentino look in Philadelphia. The focal point was the seemingly never-ending sequined train that connected to the pouf bodice of the bodysuit. She paired the flashy piece with coordinating boots, and towards the end of the show, she flew above the crowd in this look while mounted on a horse.

The singer mixed in some more sequins in Philadelphia with this custom Givenchy mini dress. The piece featured intricately placed cut-outs as well as fringe throughout the dress. She rounded things out with strappy heels and sheer black opera gloves. She, of course, also had on diamonds from Tiffany & Co. in the form of a ring, drop earrings, and a tennis bracelet.

Beyoncé has been wearing plenty of Tiffany & Co. jewelry throughout her tour, but she took it to another level for her first North American stop in Toronto, Canada. The singer donned a dazzling bespoke mini dress from the brand complete with layers of chains and stones. The mesh look of the piece was inspired by the designs of Elsa Peretti and took nearly 200 hours to make. Beyoncé paired the piece with custom Malone Souliers heels as well as vintage earrings and an anklet both from Tiffany & Co.

Beyoncé wears a custom Fendi look during the Toronto stop of her 'Renaissance' world tour

Also while in Toronto, the singer traded her layered mini dress for a dazzling custom Fendi gown. The piece is a riff on a similar look from the brand’s spring/summer 2021 couture collection and features a daring slit as well as crystal embroidery meant to imitate the appearance of honeycombs. She rounded out the look with another pair of clear heels and statement tassel earrings.

Leave it Beyoncé to make comouflage cool. During the Toronto stop of her tour, the singer wore a fully patterned ensemble from her brand Ivy Park. The look featured a cropped jacket, over-the-knee boots and a plunging bodysuit.

Beyoncé wears a custom Balmain look during her 'Renaissance' world tour in Warsaw, Poland.

For the final stop of the European leg, Beyoncé went with a slew of sequined and silver ensembles while performing in Warsaw, Poland. This look, by Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing, featured a dramatic bodice that cascaded down her side as well as a daring slit at the skirt. The singer rounded out her look with velvet gloves and a pair of Manolo Blahnik heels.

Beyoncé wears a custom Richard Quinn look during her 'Renaissance' world tour in Warsaw, Poland.

While Beyoncé has had some pretty avant-garde outfits, this Richard Quinn number may be her most “Alien Superstar” yet. The look featured legging-style pants with large crystal embellishments as well as a peplum-inspired top finished with similar adornments. However, the focal point of the ensemble is certainly the UFO-like headpiece that obscured everything but the singer’s eyes.

Beyoncé wears a custom Daily Paper look during her 'Renaissance' world tour in Warsaw, Poland.

Outfitting an entire crew and Beyoncé is certainly no small feat, but global brand Daily Paper seemed to be up for the task. During the "Opulence" section of her concert in Warsaw, Beyoncé donned an embellished black jumpsuit and reflective track jacket from the brand—which she paired with knee-high boots and one of her signature top hats. In addition to Beyoncé’s look, Daily Paper designed over 100 custom tracksuits for her crew and dancers, mostly in silver reflective nylon.

Beyoncé wears a custom red hooded mini dress by Carolina Herrera during her Renaissance world tour.

Just one night after sporting a similar hooded piece while in Paris, Beyoncé went with another veiled look, this time, for her concert in Hamburg, Germany. The ensemble is designed by Carolina Herrera creative director Wes Gordon and features a plunging bodysuit, sheer red tights, and a silk hood that connects at the head and arms. Of course, the singer also had on her signature opera gloves and glitzy earrings to round out the look.

Again in Hamburg, the singer chose a look from Ivy Park—one of a wider selection of pieces from an upcoming collection between her brand and Adidas. Naturally, backup dancer’s leotards matched her ruched mini dress and knee-high boots.

It means the world to be supported and seen as a Black female designer in the industry.”

While Beyoncé has, seemingly, unlimited access to a never-ending roster of designers, she went with her own label Ivy Park for this pink look in Amsterdam—and rightly so. Designed by the star herself, the piece featured daring slits, opera-style gloves, and a halter neckline.

“I started designing this collection over a year ago,” she said on Instagram . “I was so engulfed in all things Renaissance and was inspired by Studio 54, Bob Mackie, and the disco era.”

Beyoncé wears a custom Jacquemus look during her concert in Marseille, France.

French designer Simon Porte Jacquemus is from Marseille, France so it’s fitting that he outfitted the singer for her tour stop there. Jacquemus, who attended the concert, designed a form-ftting mini dress, boots, and gloves that featured disco ball-esque paillettes.

“[Beyoncé] is the first singer I saw live in Marseille 15 years ago,” he wrote on Instagram . “I’m so happy and proud. What a night in Provence, means a lot.”

This custom gown by Alebrta Ferretti has an embroidered leotard and a gold draped train that cascades down the singer’s side. Beyoncé wears a custom Stella McCartney look during the Barcelona stop of her Renaissance world tour

Beyoncé went with a sparkling, disco-inspired Stella McCartney dress and stirrup leggings for her concert in Barcelona, Spain. The custom look was made of environmentally friendly materials such as silver lead-free crystals.

“It is a life moment to dress someone as iconic and inspiring as Beyoncé—a visionary pioneer, disruptor, and artist who has worked tirelessly to make the world a better place,” the British designer said. A pair of clear Amina Muaddi heels rounded out the ensemble.

Beyoncé wears a custom Fendi look during the Barcelona stop of her Renaissance world tour

Beyoncé wears a custom Robert Wun look during the London stop of her Renaissance world tour.

The 41-year-old singer opted for a dramatic “Black Blossom” Robert Wun look. The form-fitting ensemble featured a plunging blazer accented by ruffled sleeves and asymmetrical pleated detailing.

Beyoncé wears a custom Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood look in London.

Beyoncé again went with another British label for her third London show, this time a custom Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood look. The mini latex dress features corset-style detailing and sheer spiral sleeves.

Beyonce asked fans to come to her Virgo season concerts decked out in silver and chrome. Here's how they pulled off their last-minute outfit changes.

  • Beyoncé asked fans to come decked out in silver outfits for her Virgo season shows.
  • Some fans who planned their outfits in advance had to scramble for new fits.
  • Here's how some dealt with their silver outfit assignments before her birthday on September 4.

Insider Today

Beyoncé has made it evident that bold, artistic fashion statements are a significant part of her Renaissance World Tour.

Onstage, Bey has worn everything from a gold Loewe catsuit adorned with crystals and a futuristic Balmain bodysuit to a campy Mugler bee costume — complete with oversized antennae and a buggy head mask to match.

But on August 22, she flipped the script and asked her fans for a birthday present.

"My birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the shows 8.23 - 9.22," a story post on Beyoncé's Instagram read. "We'll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night."

With a new — and last-minute — outfit assignment , some fans started to scramble and shared their reactions to the news on TikTok. And it seems almost everyone was trying to stay on the theme — even celebrities like Tracee Ellis Ross, Issa Rae, Megan Markle , Kelly Rowland , and Gabrielle Union.

Justyn, a makeup beauty influencer who shared the process of building his outfit from scratch on his TikTok account Justyngee, was blindsided by the news. The outfit he made, which included a custom gold chest plate, took about seven hours to design, spray paint, and embellish over four days, Justyn told Insider.

And then Beyoncé made her announcement.

"I love my girl and I would have loved to have worn silver but why couldn't this announcement come two weeks earlier?" Justyn said on TikTok following the announcement. "Because Bey I'm talking to you right now: The outfit has been planned."

@justyngee Beyhive we have an emergency! Do I listen to the Queen or wear my gold fit??? 😫 #beyonce #renaissancetouroutfit #renaissancetour #beyoncesilver ♬ PURE/HONEY - Beyoncé

Justyn, who said he would be attending Beyoncé's September 4 birthday show in LA, told Insider he was debating whether or not to comply with the silver edict. He did have a silver outfit on standby, but it was not as skillfully crafted as his gold ensemble.

He said he doesn't think Beyoncé would mind him stunning in gold.

"As a queer person it's great to see a big pop sensation, especially someone like Beyoncé, just spotlight her community and our community," Justyn, 25, said. "And I'm pretty much just going for the vibes and for a good time. Like, there's no pressure. I purely created the outfit as a source of joy for myself."

Paola, a travel blogger who shares her journeys on her account paolatravell, also showcased her silver fit on TikTok for Beyoncé's LA shows. She told Insider that after going to multiple shows all over Europe, she decided she had to see Queen Bey in person on September 4.

"I'm also a Virgo… I did this just as a birthday gift to me," Paola said.

Paola told Insider that as a super fan of Bey, she wanted to do something "really classy" for her birthday weekend shows using white and gold and channeling hits on the Renaissance album like "Alien Superstar" and "Church Girl."

"And then one week before everything, she decided to request the silver outfit. My first reaction was like 'Oh my god, I want to cry' because my outfit was already done."

Paola said, however, that she wanted to comply with the silver request because to her, it felt like a big sister inviting her to a themed party. So she dedicated a week before the show putting together her silver outfits by hand.

@paolatravell Queen b asked for silver I hope this outfit is okay pt. 5 : I tried to recreate a mix between the ( Grammy + the richard quinn ) hat 🎩 los angeles im coming angeles #renaissanceworldtour #renaissancetour #beyonce #beyoncebirthday #beyoncerenaissance #beyoncetour #paolatravell #losangeles #inglewood #sofistadium #outfit #beyhive ♬ DJHunnybee Church Girl x Joy Unspeakable - Hunny Bee 😈

"It wasn't easy," Paola said. "I didn't sleep for one week. It was a great challenge."

But she said she would definitely do it again — even if Beyoncé requested it a day before.

"It's a new personal passion that started because I did that."

Another fan who decided to take on the silver theme is Christina Barras, 30. She told Insider she grew up loving Beyoncé so much that she played a role in inspiring Barras' previous dancing career.

Because Barras bought her tickets much later than most, she told Insider she didn't feel blindsided by the announcement and felt like the theme helped give her a better sense of direction in her outfit choice.

"I think it's fun because it feels like we're all just going to like a themed party together," Barras told Insider.

The Los Angeles-based makeup artist shared her shopping experience on TikTok at Santee Alley, a fashion district in LA. Barras said she found part of her silver outfit there and ended up bonding with the store owners over Beyoncé.

@christinabarras Renaissance shopping success! 🐝✨ #renaissancetour #renaissanceoutfit #santeealley #beyonce ♬ original sound - Christinabarras

"We figured that'd be the perfect place to go for Renaissance shopping, and sure enough, they had everything silver pushed to the front," Barras said. "And some stores even had Beyoncé playing. This woman working that day was just super hyped up and was matching our energy, and we just had a blast there. It made picking out outfits that much more fun because we were in the headspace of just, like, high energy."

As for why Beyoncé asked her fans to wear silver, the fans Insider spoke to had their own theories.

"I just think it's like this whole era is just about like having fun and releasing all the negativity. I think with this dress code for the audience, it brings people together in a way, and it creates more of that like community aspect where we're all just in this together, having fun, living our lives," Barras told Insider.

Justyn pointed out the parallels between the silver statement pieces and queer nightlife, as well as an homage to her Uncle Jonny, a gay relative who died from AIDS-related complications and was an important figure in Beyoncé's life.

"I feel like the silver is a strong call back to queer nightlife, like Studio 54. And I think she was trying to, because she has said multiple times at this tour is kind of like a love letter to the LGBT community and her Uncle Jonny, wanted to make a strong call back to that and kind of bring some sort of camaraderie with everyone."

Representatives for Beyoncé did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

See All Beyoncé’s Best Looks from Her Renaissance World Tour — from Balmain to Ivy Park

Sequins, silver and more! Here's a look at the Grammy winner's best stage costumes on her sold-out tour

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

If there’s anyone who will deliver the most outstanding tour wardrobe, it's Beyoncé.

Since embarking on her international Renaissance tour – supporting her expansive discography, from the classics to her new Renaissance tracks – in May, the 32-time Grammy winner has proved that she isn't afraid to push the envelope when it comes to her daring stage costumes.

Performing for nearly three hours during each of her shows hasn't stopped the global superstar from commanding attention from her Beyhive fans in some of the most creative, avant-garde designs.

Ahead, see Beyoncé's best show looks so far.

Chromatic Cowgirl

Kevin Mazur/WireImage for Parkwood

What's one way to make an all-silver ensemble pop? More silver! These Christian Louboutin thigh-high boots designed with tiers of fringe took Beyoncé's dazzling cowgirl getup to the next level.

Mirror, Mirror

Beyonce to Parkwood Entertainment

DUNDAS created a head-to-toe reflective look featuring a metallic leather admirals coat, a plunging embellished bustier teamed with a matching mini skirt, gloves and a monogrammed hat.

Mod-est Fashion

Among the sea of neoteric metallic looks is this retro black-and-white striped Marc Jacobs gem decked out in Swarovski crystals.

Beyoncé Barbie

Beyonce/Parkwood

Acne Studios hopped on board to create an all-pink look for the superstar's Minneapolis show. This outfit featured a metallic leather cape, seemingly attached to a cropped blazer, a corset with matching shorts, and rose-tinted sunglasses. She also wore glittery over-the-knee boots.

Ruffling Feathers

It's clear that Beyoncé favors embellishments for her statement looks. In Chicago, she wore a Schiaparelli Haute Couture silk bustier dress and a high-drama stole embroidered with feathers and stones.

Extra High-Fashion Armor

For her stop in The Windy City, Beyoncé also shone bright like the moon wearing Marine Serre.

The label, which Beyoncé became a fan of early on, designed a body chain harness made out of silver cutlery, which was layered over a skintight catsuit accented with reflective panels and Marine Serre's crescent moon motif. The metallic colorway continued down into the shoes gunmetal gray strap kitten heels.

Not pictured: Beyoncé's over-the-top silver hat.

McQueen for Queen B

In Nashville, Beyoncé wore a custom Alexander McQueen bodice – embroidered with silver bugle beads, sequins and crystals and crafted with a sweetheart neckline – as well as matching gloves and boots.

Beads Galore

Givenchy provided one of the newer looks in Beyoncé's wardrobe for her U.S. tour – a cutout micro dress draping in glass beads, stones and bugles. And of course, there were gloves.

Team Tiffany & Co.

Tiffany & Co., the official jeweler of the Renaissance Tour added a bespoke dress made with chains of bezel-set stones to its Renaissance collection, which also includes diamond-encrusted in-ear-monitors .

Inspired by Elsa Peretti's designs, the gown – which Beyoncé wore to open her first North American tour stop in Toronto – is crafted from approximately 150 feet of mesh ribbon and woven with 300,000 rings in the mesh. The whole piece took over 200 hours to execute. She complemented the look with vintage stud earrings and a custom anklet.

A Camo Queen

Another look that the singer debuted in Toronto was this camouflage sequined bodysuit, which she wore with a cropped jacket (featuring mega shoulder pads!), gloves and over-the-knee boots.

A part of Beyoncé's new look was also her "Crème Brûlée Blonde" hair color, a tri-blonde hue achieved by celebrity hairstylist Rita Hazan , who tells PEOPLE exclusively that she used three shades of blonde to create dimensional "creamy"-looking highlights that complement her skin tone. The pro built the colorway on top of the singer's " Sunwashed Blonde " hue revealed in May – "This is an essential way to go blonder over time without damaging your hair," she advises.

"She loves to switch up her color and style and likes to have fun with her color," Hazan says of working with Beyoncé.

This Mugler bodysuit certainly had a lot of buzz. Beyoncé wore the bug-like bodysuit – topped off with an antenna headpiece (which later broke during a wardrobe malfunction in London) – for her performance of "America Has a Problem."

It's campness was elevated with vinyl over-the-knee boots.

Futuristic Vision

Beyoncé chose Balmain for this metallic silver armor, made by designer Olivier Rousteing, with whom the singer released a Renaissance -inspired collection earlier this year.

An Angelic Moment

Dutch label Iris van Herpen created this heavenly one-of-a-kind look over the course of 700 hours. The halo-inspired Heliosphere gown, which Beyoncé wore for her Tina Turner tribute, was made of almost a thousand , individually stitched falcate embellishments that were molded into dimensional shapes by casting silver-marbled silicone.

Ivy Park Pride

Kevin Mazur/WireImage

Beyoncé celebrated Juneteenth during her show in Amsterdam by wearing costumes exclusively made by Black designers, including herself.

The "Cuff It" singer rocked this hot pink look – consisting of a sequin crisscross bodysuit, gloves and fur coat (taken off mid-performance) – that was created through her label Ivy Park and inspired by "Studio 54, [legendary designer] Bob Mackie and the disco era," she wrote on Instagram.

Soaring High in Style

For "Summer Renaissance," the finale song, Beyoncé suspends above the crowd seated atop a blinged-out horse, before flying around the stadium to greet her fans.

In Warsaw, Poland, she debuted a green-and-white ensemble complete with a sequin one-piece, sparkly boots and a trailing cape lined with black lycra.

Lady in Red

Another celebratory Juneteenth outfit came courtesy of Maximilian Davis , creative director of Ferragamo. An elegant ruby red gown, embroidered with crystals, embedded Old Hollywood glamour to her otherwise over-the-top looks. She teamed the one-piece with silver wrist cuffs.

Blue Fit for Royalty

Beyoncé pulled out this regal blue Roksanda number for her London concert. The design stole the show with its sculptural full-body silhouette.

Spacing Out

Beyoncé transformed into a Gucci goddess in Amsterdam, wearing a custom bodysuit laced with iridescent gemstone chains. Her one-piece was layered with a sheer chainmail long-sleeve top also embellished with light-reflective rhinestones. Her accessories: an orbit-shaped hat and cat-eye sunglasses with bling.

Too Classy for this World!

In Warsaw, Beyoncé tapped into her "Alien Superstar" energy with this out-of-this-world Richard Quinn ensemble – a head-to-toe bejeweled suit topped off with a spaceship-shaped face covering.

And More Silver

On the last stop of her European leg, Beyoncé glittered like a disco ball in this Balmain one-shoulder gown made with a flared-out bodice and velvet black gloves.

Queen Beyoncé has issued a royal birthday decree on the Renaissance tour: Wear silver in her presence.

"Virgo season is upon us. This tour has been such a joy and as we approach the last month, my birthday wish is to celebrate with you wearing your most fabulous silver fashions to the show 8.23 – 9.22," Beyoncé wrote Wednesday on her Instagram Story , referencing her upcoming Sept. 4 birthday. "We'll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night. Everybody mirroring each other's joy, Virgo season together in the House of Chrome. See you there!"

"When you just finished your fit and Beyoncé request something totally different," one fan tweeted . "I'm so heated."

Since kicking off her Renaissance tour in May, the concert series — promoting the performer's 2022 album of the same name — earned glowing reviews from fans and critics alike, and has sold out all of its dates so far.

Beyoncé Fuels a Small-Business Boom

When the performer asked fans to wear silver for Virgo season, shops on Etsy and elsewhere saw the collective spending power of the BeyHive.

When Virgo season dawned, Beyoncé — perhaps the world’s most famous Virgo, who named a track on her seventh album, “Renaissance,” after the star sign — had a birthday request.

The performer, now in the last month of her Renaissance World Tour, posted a message on her website and Instagram on Aug. 23 encouraging fans to wear silver to her concerts through Virgo season, which ends on Sept. 22. (Beyoncé’s birthday is Sept. 4; this year she turned 42.) “We’ll surround ourselves in a shimmering human disco ball each night,” the message read. “Everybody mirroring each other’s joy. Virgo season together in the house of chrome.”

The tour has already been a fashion show , with attendees wearing bejeweled cowboy hats and more looks inspired by the album’s visuals and Beyoncé’s stage outfits. Still, many fans who had planned their looks months in advance panicked . On TikTok, concertgoers posted videos of their original non-silver looks set to audio of high-pitched screaming .

Even celebrities have struggled with the dress code. Gayle King posted a video on Instagram of her wandering around a Las Vegas airport searching for silver, while Rosie O’Donnell asked her TikTok followers where she could find silver garments.

So when the BeyHive dutifully placed online orders and ran to the mall, small-business owners also felt Beyoncé’s influence, as TMZ originally reported . Several small businesses told The New York Times that since Aug. 23, they had seen a spike in both searches for and sales of silver clothing and accessories. On Etsy, searches for silver blouses, corsets, tops and “ disco hats ” — sparkly, mirrored cowboy hats — increased 25 percent in the week of Aug. 21 over the week before, a representative for the company said.

Disco ball earrings, a fixture at the Renaissance tour as well as Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , drew fans to Anna Ferguson’s Etsy shop, OneLoveOneAnna Designs in Newnan, Ga. — and turned her side hustle into her primary source of income this year.

Many fans have placed rush orders for the earrings since Aug. 23, Ms. Ferguson said, with some customers stressing that their orders were emergencies. “It’s not life or death, it’s just some earrings,” Ms. Ferguson said. “But really it is so important, because something I realized at Beyoncé’s show specifically — everyone there dresses up as their own version of Bey. The look is 50 percent of the fun. It sets the tone and vibe for the way you feel.”

Ellie May Klimczak, the founder of Coquetry Clothing based in Olive Branch, Miss., said in an email that fans “actually began emailing directly, ‘I need something silver, and I need it fast!’” Her shop specializes in handmade spandex pieces.

“We have literally just been swapping out fabrics and styles to make them all silver holographic,” Ms. Klimczak said, adding that her shop had experienced a similar rush for the Eras Tour. Currently, the store’s most popular fabric choices include “ silver kaleidoscope ” and “ prism .”

Some small businesses that make clothing for the festival circuit anticipate a drop in sales after the annual Burning Man festival in late August, said Ilgin Utin, the creative director of Utin NYC , which operates out of New York City and Istanbul. Instead, sales at Ms. Utin’s shop have stayed consistent as people place rush orders for the Renaissance tour. One of her top sellers is a silver fringe jacket , and orders have poured in from California and Texas — states with Renaissance dates during Virgo season.

Customers have told Erin Fritts, the owner of Everwind Creations , that they love using her fans when Beyoncé sings “Heated” onstage because the artist uses her own fan during the song, which draws from ballroom culture.

Ms. Fritts, who lives in Charlotte, N.C., opened her shop on Etsy three years ago originally to sell macramé pieces. She added fans because she always got hot and used them at music festivals — and now they’re her No. 1 sellers. She attributed the fans’ popularity to Beyoncé; almost all of her fan orders since Aug. 23 have been silver-colored .

Other business owners were tipped off to the silver fervor by cultural insiders: their children. Rainbow Manier, the owner of Soul Chains , a line of vintage jewelry with crystals, recalled: “My Gen Z daughter who’s 22 told me, ‘Mom, you better make a silver post for Beyoncé,’ and I’m like, ‘What?’” The next day, Ms. Manier went to her atelier in Seattle and made an Instagram video spotlighting her silver pieces.

Since then, several clients have booked appointments for custom jewelry, Ms. Manier said, and she has sold a piece every day; her best sellers are all silver.

“I have been working 24/7 to accommodate the BeyHive and the lovers of the queen,” Ms. Manier said on a video call, while dressed in a silver-sequined dress and accessories she designed herself. “Now I’m looking at my daughter like, ‘What’s next, girl? Tell me what’s coming up.’”

Beyoncé ‘Renaissance’: What the fans wore to London’s opening show

Photographs by Toby Hancock, CNN Story by Leah Dolan, CNN May 30, 2023

Beyoncé has officially landed in London. Last night, the British capital welcomed the pop superstar for the much anticipated “Renaissance” world tour.

We expected an Afrofuturist disco-fueled fantasy, and on the first night of her weeklong residency at north London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (one of the city’s largest stadiums with a capacity of over 60,000) fans showed out in mirror ball cowboy hats, crystal-encrusted corsets and space-age catsuits.

Since its release in 2022, the quadruple Grammy award-winning record has had far-reaching cultural impact, including in fashion. With revered album art that saw Beyoncé in Schiaparelli couture, Alaïa, Mugler and Gucci, as well as her headline- generating stage costumes from the likes of Loewe and Balmain, it’s no wonder fans are taking their concert looks seriously.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour Looks Are Club-Ready Couture

By André-Naquian Wheeler

Beyonc in David Koma

UNIQUE! That’s certainly the best way to describe the fashion featured in Beyoncé’s Renaissance World Tour, which kicked off in Stockholm on Wednesday. The first stop of the 57-show tour featured the singer performing in a dizzying array of club-ready couture creations.

Custom Courrèges designed by Nicolas Di Felice

Light and color were prominent motifs throughout the first show, with multiple outfits, all styled by Shiona Turini, featuring holographic or reflective treatments that masterfully adapt the album’s visual aesthetic for a stadium setting. Beyoncé hasn’t been on tour in almost five years but is still ever the showgirl when it comes to her performance attire. There was a dress that changes color when exposed to UV light. Fans immediately  guessed that it’s by the Japanese brand Anrealage—which showcased a similar viral-primed moment in its fall 2023 show. A Jonathan Anderson-designed Loewe bejeweled bodysuit, adapted from a look featured in the brand’s fall 2022 collection, featured pairs provocatively positioned arms with red nails. It felt reminiscent of another cheeky, body-con  piece , designed by The Blondes, Bey wore for a previous tour in 2013.

A custom Loewe bodysuit

The singer wore a custom version of this Loewe fall 22 look.

The singer wore a custom version of this Loewe fall 22 look.

A custom Balmain, designed by Olivier Rousteing featured a corset designed entirely out of pearls. The new look tapped into the same brand of ballroom-minded codes as the buzzy couture collab Rousteing and Beyoncé debuted earlier this season. (Although, surprisingly, none of those one-of-one looks were featured in tonight’s show—but there are 56 more stops on the tour for it to appear.) London-based fashion designer David Koma, who previously crafted a  buzzy tennis ball-yellow gown for Bey, created a wrap holographic dress for the singer.

For the concert's opening, Beyoncé performed a variety of ballads and wore a gilded Alexander McQueen suit. Sarah Burton, creative director of the British label, says the outfit was the result of close collaboration between her, Beyoncé, and stylist Shiona Turini. “Immediately after our fall 2023 show, I started to sketch a new iteration of one of my favorite show looks for Beyonce,” Burton said. “I had seen her inspiration for the Renaissance tour and straight away felt that would be the right look. Working closely with her stylist, Shiona Turini, I adapted what we call the muscle dress, inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s anatomical drawings, to be a bodysuit for her.”

And the greatest accessory of the night? Undoubtedly the giant, Studio 54-esque sequined horse Beyoncé flew around on for the show’s epic finale. Though, the spring 1997 Mugler-inspired antennae she wore with a custom Casey Cadwallader-designed bodysuit was a close second.

There were also subtle but extravagantly opulent touches. Beyoncé wore a custom-designed Tiffany & Co. earpiece that included over 4.5 carets of white diamonds

Overall, the tour feels like a fabulous embodiment of the techno and ballroom-infused sound of  Renaissance,  which Beyoncé has described as an  ode to dance music and queer culture. They also continue the singer’s streak of ostentatiously avant-garde couture fashion for the album’s innovative visual campaigns. A teaser for “I’m That Girl,” which runs a little under two minutes, featured a chaotic flurry of over a dozen custom looks by Schiaparelli, Balenciaga, and others. Beyoncé is well and truly in her fashion girl era.

Of course, Beyoncé loves to tinker with her looks throughout the course of a tour—sometimes wearing an outfit solely for one performance in a city. So it is very likely that there is a lot more great fashion to come our way between now and the tour’s conclusion in New Orleans on September 27. Stay tuned—we certainly will be.

For the past few days, celebs have showcased their finest silver looks all over social media, ranging from sparkling metallic dresses to surprising twists on the singer’s Virgo-season dress code. Scroll ahead to see a roundup of the most fabulous ensembles.

Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry

The couple attended Friday’s show together, alongside Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland.

In videos captured by a nearby fan, Meghan looked gorgeous in a white tank top tucked into a high-waisted silver sequined skirt by SPRWMN . Ragland coordinated with her daughter in a metallic sleeveless top and white pants. Meanwhile, Harry layered a gray blazer over a gray T-shirt and white slacks.

Meghan returned to the arena for Bey’s birthday show on Monday, where she wore another dazzling silver outfit while posing for a photo with Kelly Rowland and Kerry Washington. This time, she paired a sleeveless black blouse with a different silver sequined skirt.

Kelly Rowland

Rowland supported her bestie in three stylish looks. For the first outfit, the singer paired a luxe mirrored breastplate top by Buerlangma with silver high-waisted pants and a metallic puffer coat. She added layers of diamond necklaces and an array of chunky rings.

For night two, the star dressed in a mirrored crop top that revealed her glitter-covered abs, adding a pair of slightly oversize jeans and tons of diamond jewelry.

To attend a third show, Rowland wore a glossy black strapless corset with black jeans. She accessorized the look with diamond-studded chain necklaces and matching facial jewelry.

Gabrielle Union

Union’s stunning look for the the Friday night show included a see-through chainmail dress with an attached hood by New Arrivals, which she wore over an underwire bikini top and matching metallic bottoms by Melissa Simone. She added silver Tiffany & Co. link earrings and stacks of bracelets while carrying a glittery Valentino bag.

While attending another show, Union wore a crystal chandelier halter top with baggy acid-wash jeans, which featured large cutouts on the back of the pant legs. She accessorized with bedazzled jewelry and a black silver-studded bag.

Meanwhile, husband Dwyane Wade looked suave in a white tank top with a yellow-and-blue 24 print (which may have been in honor of his friend , Kobe Bryant of the L.A. Lakers, who died in 2020), high-waisted black pants, white sneakers, and a black baseball cap. Wade’s 16-year-old daughter Zaya honored the theme in a black corset-and-shorts set paired with silver cowboy boots and a silver moon bag from Giarité . The couple’s four-year-old, Kaavia, looked cute in a velvet basketball jersey, a light-up tutu, sparkly black boots, and a mini version of her actor mother’s bag.

Tracee Ellis Ross

For Ross, the theme called for a fun micro-mini dress by Paco Rabanne, which she paired with black platform sandals. The actor showed off the outfit in several photos from the Friday night show, including snaps where the large circular sequins shone brightly in a dimmed room.

“She said wear silver,” Ross captioned the post.

The Kardashians

Members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan attended Monday's show. Kim Kardashian appeared in a bedazzled crystal chain top designed by Swarovski creative director Giovanna Engelbert, distressed high-waist jeans, and a bedazzled purse. Khloé Kardashian also honored the silver dress code in a pair of glittery high-waist tights, which she styled with a cropped white tank top, a sparkling silver chain choker necklace, a metallic silver bag, and black sunglasses. Kris Jenner coordinated in a metallic trench coat layered on top of a gray ribbed shirt.

(Kendall and Kylie Jenner— with boyfriend Timothée Chalamet —also attended Bey's birthday show, but photos of their full looks haven't been published just yet.)

Kids North West and Penelope Disick also showed out in striking silver ensembles, with each wearing stretchy silver dresses from Diesel and jewelry by Swarovski.

kardashians

Earlier in the weekend, the Kardashian-Jenner matriarch shared a brief look at her concert outfit, which featured a black blazer embellished with an intricate silver sequin design.

Hailey and Justin Bieber

Joining the Kardashian-Jenner clan were the Biebers. Hailey and Justin were photographed at Bey's birthday show in the same section as their reality star friends (and Jeff Bezos). For the occasion, the Rhode founder wore a black crop top and matching miniskirt with silver jewelry, including large teardrop earrings, and shimmery silver makeup. Justin wore a gray hoodie and black pants.

Keke Palmer

Palmer focused the silver theme for her accessories and glam. The multi-hyphenate wore a black strapless bodycon dress by Sergio Hudson and mirrored ankle-strap sandals, adding a bedazzled black denim jacket which she wore as a shawl. She completed the look with a sparkling mirror-ball choker and large silver hoops, while bright silver highlights adorned her curly ’do. She topped off the look with shimmering silver eye shadow and a glossy nude lip.

She attended a second show in a collared white button-up tucked into a metallic silver corset, which she styled with tight black pants. She accessorized with layers of silver bracelets and large silver hoop earrings.

The Insecure star wore a crop top and miniskirt set made out of silver square-shaped reflective panels. She finished off the look with matching silver heels.

Sofía Vergara

The Modern Family actor danced the night away in a black tube top and a silver sequined maxi skirt.

Elle Fanning

Fanning attended the show in a monochromatic black ensemble by H&M. The outfit consisted of a lacy sheer camisole, black high-waist trousers, and a boxy black blazer. She finished off the look with metallic pumps and matching purse.

Jessica Alba

Alba dressed for the Renaissance Tour in a chic boxy black blazer and a large black cowboy hat, the latter adorned with hanging crystal trim.

The Renaissance Tour may have ended, but the Blackout is only beginning. Beyoncé gave fans a sneak peek at pieces from her upcoming IVY PARK drop with Adidas on Instagram Thursday (Oct. 5), revealing she wore them in an all-black look on stage during her final Renaissance show earlier this week.

How to Get Tickets to Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ Tour Movie

Trending on billboard.

“Felt great to design and wear the final IVY PARK drop (with adidas👀💃🏾🕺🏾🪩) on the final show of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR ,” the star captioned her post. “The Blackout. IVY PARK NOIR dropping Oct 12.”

Queen Bey has been working with Adidas on her IVY PARK brand since 2018. However, the Blackout collection will mark her last collaboration with the company. In March, it was reported that the “Break My Soul” singer and Adidas had mutually agreed to part ways due to “creative differences.”

It’s possible the IVY PARK look will crop up in Beyoncé’s Renaissance concert film , hitting theaters in the U.S., Mexico and Canada in December. The Destiny’s Child alum unveiled the movie’s trailer on the day of the tour’s final show.

Beyoncé Wore 300,000 Silver Rings as a Minidress

beyonce renaissance tour silver dress

Beyoncé's "Renaissance" World Tour has arrived, and with it one dazzling concert ensemble after another. On May 10, the Grammy Award-winning artist kicked off the opening night of her tour in Stockholm, Sweden. While performing to a sold-out crowd, Beyoncé made magic happen in an entire collection of custom designer outfits.

Opening the show with "Dangerously in Love," Beyoncé lit up the stage in her first look of the night: a metallic Alexander McQueen catsuit and Tiffany & Co. jewelry styled by Shiona Turini . The one-piece design featured a futuristic silhouette, complete with rounded shoulder pads and prominent hip embellishments. The entire outfit boasted intricate beadwork and an electric design adorned with hundreds of sparkling crystals, which beautifully complemented her chrome manicure.

As the evening progressed, Beyoncé's wardrobe only became more extravagant. In addition to the catsuit, her concert wardrobe included a sequin Courrèges bodysuit with a cyborg-inspired asymmetrical sleeve. She paired the look with ruched thigh-high boots in white by GEDEBE and a single black glove. During a performance of "Crazy in Love," Beyoncé also wowed in a black Balmain bodysuit with a white netting overlay. Her stylist, Julia Sarr-Jamois , completed the ensemble with sky-high patent leather boots.

Additional looks from the opening night included a shimmering gold Loewe catsuit, a cutout Mugler bodysuit in yellow and silver, and an iridescent wrap dress layered under a reflective jacket by David Koma. Her style team paired the final look with floral statement earrings and ombré cowboy boots. At one point, she even gave a nod to the "Renaissance" album cover in a sheer cape embellished with metallic feathers while riding on top of a crystal horse onstage.

And she's not about to let the same costume set get repetitive, either. The global superstar landed in the UK on May 17 and wowed crowds at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff with her incredible vocals and some new stage outfits. One look, in particular, included a heavily encrusted black and yellow plunging bodysuit. Cementing her status as Queen Bey, the ensemble, inspired by bees, glistened in the lights as she teamed the bodysuit with thigh-high patent boots, sparkly black opera gloves, and eyepatch sunglasses.

Taking the stage on May 29 in London, she debuted yet another outfit, this time with her daughter Blue Ivy in tow. For her performance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Knowles-Carter wore a bespoke, encrusted bustier-style body suit by Off White with matching boots. Blue Ivy matched her mom, wearing a red zippered jumpsuit of her own, replete with dark sunglasses.

On her June 18 show Amsterdam, Netherlands, she honored Juneteenth — the holiday that commemorates June 19, 1865 when enslaved people in Galveston, TX, were finally told they had been freed — by wearing all Black designers . The mother-of-three wore designs from Balmain, Ferragamo (led by creative director Maximilian Davis), and her own Ivy Park to name a few.

Later, on July 9, she wowed in yet another performance look — this time from Elsa Peretti for Tiffany & Co. To open the Toronto show, the superstar wore a custom-made glittering silver dress that took over 200 hours to make. The design was crafted from 150 feet of mesh ribbon with 300,000 rings woven throughout.

And the "Renaissance" tour has only just begun. With additional tour dates recently announced , we expect Beyoncé will be delivering dozens of unforgettable onstage style moments over the next five months. Ahead, see all of the singer's best tour outfits so far.

Five-plus years since she last graced a concert stage, Beyoncé played for more than 1 million fans on her opening run overseas and will perform 23 stadium shows in the U.S., which started July 12 in Philadelphia.

Her setlist of nearly three dozen songs leans heavily on her current "Renaissance" album , but there are plenty of throwbacks, with "Crazy in Love," "Love on Top" and "Formation" joining new tracks including "Plastic Off the Sofa," "Cozy" and "Break My Soul."

Here’s a look at what fans can expect when Beyoncé's Renaissance hits their city.

Taylor Swift Supports Beyoncé at the Renaissance Film Premiere in London

Swift's appearance on the red carpet comes two months after Beyoncé attended the premiere of the Eras Tour film.

Swift hit the red carpet this evening wearing a show-stopping, shimmering silver gown by Balmain with jewelry by Anita Ko and heels by Giuseppe Zanotti. Posing for the photographers, the glamorous singer wore her famous blonde hair down with a deep side-part, and opted for a dramatic makeup look with a black winged eyeliner and her signature red lipstick .

Swift's appearance comes two months after Beyoncé made a surprise appearance at the red carpet premiere of Swift's Eras Tour film in Los Angeles. The two popstars posed for a photo together on the red carpet, later sending the internet in a frenzy.

At the time, Swift called Beyoncé's presence a "fairytale." She wrote in an Instagram post, "I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without Beyonce's influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms. Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale."

Both Swift and Beyoncé were simultaneously on tour earlier this year, leading to a record-breaking summer of concert attendance . The friendship between the two women goes back years, beginning when Beyoncé brought Swift on stage at the 2009 VMAs to finish her speech for winning Best Video by a Female Artist after Swift was infamously interrupted by Kanye West.

Swift wasn't the only celebrity showing support for Beyoncé. Blake Lively and Beyoncé's former Destiny's Child group-mate Michelle Williams were among the other famous faces on the star-studded red carpet.

Taylor Swift Wore a Shimmering Silver Mirrorball Dress for Beyoncé's 'Renaissance' Movie Premiere

Swifties already know how much she loves high tea, stories from uni, and the West End.

Just last weekend,  Beyoncé  landed in L.A. with a new hair color and an appropriately silver gown for the premiere of  Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé.  If the Beyhive thought that the epic movie would only get one red carpet event, they were wrong — and probably didn't expect  Taylor Swift  to arrive at the movie's second premiere in London. Today, the superstar supported her pal by arriving to the red carpet in a look that followed the Renaissance silver-only mandate and also paid homage to one of her own tunes, "Mirrorball."

Swift, who has been vocal about her love of Beyoncé in the past, wore a Balmain gown covered in sparkling silver sequins to the event on Thursday night. The show-stopping, flashbulb-ready dress featured a sky-high slit and a tank silhouette. Swift wore her blonde hair with a deep side part and Old Hollywood waves, finishing her glam with her signature red lipstick.

Back in October, Beyoncé attended the premiere of Swift's concert film — and, naturally, Swift  documented the major moment on Instagram .

"I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without  @beyonce ‘s influence. The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms," she wrote alongside the clip, which showed her and Bey in a movie theater. "Her generosity of spirit. Her resilience and versatility. She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale. 😇🙏🥹"

Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé  arrives in theaters on Nov. 30.
