Star Trek Trading Card Collector’s Guide

Of all the Star Trek Trading Cards produced, Let’s focus on the ones made for Star Trek: The Original Series. To me, these are the most interesting and some of the most sought-after cards in the Star Trek collectables, mainly because they were the first to be released and are so rare.

Star Trek Trading Card Collector’s Guide

TCG - Trading Card Games — Collecting Guide by Jeremy J.J. Allen

1967 Leaf Star Trek Trading Cards

star trek 1967 cards

The first Star Trek trading cards were produced in 1967, released one year after the series debuted. These were manufactured and distributed by Leaf Brands Division, WR Grace & Co of Chicago. This was a limited-scale run with sources saying it had a small geographical distribution within the Ohio and Illinois areas. The trading cards didn’t get too far before there were controversies on whether Leaf had licenses to distribute Star Trek cards in the first place. As soon as the licensing problems came to light, all cards that hadn’t been distributed were destroyed and all others were recalled if they had not been sold yet. In the set, there were 72 base cards. They had black and white pictures on the front. The pictures were randomly chosen from episodes and, in some cases, taken from behind the scenes or from publicity shots.

The text on the back typically didn’t match up to the picture on the front and was written haphazardly. These cards were printed on layered card stock and measured at 2 ⅜” x 3 7/16”. The popularity grew, and with this new craze came many unauthorized reprints.

Dan Kremer Reprints

Dan Kremer Imports in Europe reprinted the 1967 Leaf cards without any rights to do so. They were considered counterfeit and were of terrible quality. Most of these are easily recognizable due to the blurry picture quality, and the pictures were cropped from the original, so the outer edges of the images are missing. Also, the cut on the card was not precise and was slightly smaller than the original. The cards were printed on non-gloss-coated single-layer card stock.

1981 Reprint

1981 Reprint is easily recognized by the mark on the back stating “1981 Reprint” where the “Leaf Brands” originally was. These were also printed on a very bright white stock of paper. The images are very crisp, and the cut is precise, with the cards being the exact size of the originals. There are 2 versions of these reprints. One of the versions has a red-toned print of Kirk & Spock on the backs, while the other version has a black and white print of Kirk & Spock on the back.

Though they were unauthorized reprints, these cards are still sought after by some as being part of history.

1969 A&BC Star Trek Cards

The next Original Series Star Trek Cards are the 1969 A&BC cards from the UK. There were 55 cards total, with 3 cards to a pack and one stick of bubble gum. 48 packs were in a box. Interestingly, these cards are based on one episode called “What Are Little Girls Made Of” about Dr. Corby and his androids. They are fascinating to read, almost like reading from a book. This is the first full-color Star Trek Trading Card set ever made. There were a few errors made within the texts on the back. Captain Kirk was called “Roger Kirk” on the very first card. Spock is called the “Cross between Earthman and a Martian.” We all know Spock is half-human and half-Vulcan. Come on! Android Ruk is spelled Rock within all the cards that mention him. Another exciting feature is that some card backs contain fun “Space Facts” which are entertaining, and some are a bit outdated!

1971 English Primrose Confectionery Star Trek

My next favorite in the Original Series is the 1971 (some sources say 1970) English Primrose Confectionery Co. Ltd “Stamp” Set.

Star Trek Primrose Cards

There were 12 stamps in the set, inserted 1 per box of sweet cigarettes. They are stamp size, 1 ⅜” x 2 ½”, but do not have gum on the backs. Each has a colorful retro-looking front depicting cartoonish images with backs having text broadly based on things from the Original Series. All cards have “Issued A.D. 2307” written on them. The Original Series was set in 2266-2269. These stamps are highly counterfeited, but you can usually tell the difference if you look closely. Most reprints are cut smaller than the original size, and some have zigzag borders instead of smooth straight borders.

Star Trek Spock Card

1976 Topps Star Trek

Next on the list are the 1976 Topps trading cards made in the USA. These are the first full-color Trek sets released in the U.S. O-Pee-Chee made and distributed the same exact cards in Canada.

USS Enterprise trading card

The only difference you may find in the US vs Canada is the Canadian version is known to have rougher edges due to a possible dull cutter used to cut sheets. There are 88 base cards in the set, and 22 sticker card inserts. There were 5 cards and 1 sticker per pack. 36 packs per box. The card size was 2 ½” x 3 ½”.

Star Trek card with Kirk and Spock

Interesting fact: these cover all 3 seasons of The Original Series, from the synopsis of episodes, characters, and actors to information on equipment and more. The very popular character, Sulu, was never mentioned on any of the cards or stickers and I can’t find an explanation anywhere of why.

1976 Scanlens Confectionery Cards from Down Under

The 1976 Scanlens Confectionery cards from Australia and the Allen’s & Regina cards from New Zealand are considered the sister sets to the Topps 1976 set. There are only 72 cards in this base set with no sticker chase cards.

star trek bubble gum card

There were 3 cards in a pack. The Topps brand is located on the back of each card. These are also numbered differently, and photos are sequenced differently than the Topps set from the US. There are no differences in the Australian vs New Zealand cards. The only difference was in the wrappers. New Zealand wrappers had Topps Chewing Gum printed on them. They also say, “Put discarded wrappers in rubbish bin. Be a tidy Kiwii.” On the Australian wrapper, it is mentioned “Made in Australia by Scanlen Sweets Pty, Ltd” on them.

star trek trading card

Interestingly, there is not one PSA-registered, full-graded set out there.

A lot of these cards are still a bit of a mystery. Not much was documented about the licenses, backstories, or reasoning behind why some episodes were chosen. So many questions left unanswered and that’s what makes them even more exciting and interesting. The love for Star Trek was carried on with these cards after the 3 seasons ended. The demand for more Star Trek was high back when there wasn’t social media or instant replay. People just wanted to get their hands on anything that would help them remember episodes and characters of their favorite show! These Star Trek cards are highly coveted by Trekkies and collectors all over the world. I’d love to know what Star Trek cards you have and the story behind them.

This is an excellent article. One additional bit of data regarding the Leaf cards: in 1967, when I was five years old, a parent purchased for me a couple packs of the Leafs. We lived in southeast Nebraska, so apparently some quantity of those cards made it out of the Ohio/Illinois area. I still have those cards, but no one would accuse them of being in mint condition anymore…

Furthermore, you grant the Provider the right to edit contents in order to better present them on the website. Editing may consist in shortening or editing texts, cutting uploaded images or reducing images as thumbnails. In addition, the provider is entitled to reproduce, communicate and make publicly available contents in the best possible quality via different terminal devices and different networks (public and private), comprising particularly the right to make the transfer of contents available for fixed and mobile terminal devices (e.g. mobile phones etc.) of other users. The right of public reproduction specifically also includes the right to stream contents on the site. 3. If you upload contents to the online platform, you permit other users to use your contents to a certain extent. Uploaded texts thus may be read and any images may be viewed. Inevitably, this involves that the respective content is saved to the memory of the other user's terminal device.

9. Illegal contents 1. You commit to the Provider not to upload any illegal contents to the online platform. Accordingly you will particularly not provide, offer to provide access to or advertise contents (in particular photos, videos, texts, graphics, logos etc.) contrary to the provisions of the German Penal Code or to the Narcotics Act, the Pharmaceutical Products Act or the gun control law or which are: 1. libellous or defamatory, irrespective of who is affected by these contents, 2. pornographic, glorifying violence, abusive, immoral or violating the law for the protection of children and youth, 3. constitute unacceptable harassment of other users, in particular in the form of Spam, 4. protected by law (e.g. by the copyright, trademark, patent, design patent or utility model law) without being entitled to do so, or 5. serve the performance or assistance of anti-competitive actions, including progressive customer canvassing (such as chain, snowball or pyramid systems), 2. In addition, you are prohibited from using hyperlinks in your offers. The Provider reserves the right to remove such links immediately and to monitor the content of the site including any chat rooms and forums, to determine compliance with these Terms of Use. The placing of sham offers solely serving to advertise services outside the Provider's platform or to obtain ratings is prohibited. You are likewise prohibited from using the post-contractual communication serving the execution of contracts concluded on the provider's platform for advertising your own or another's commercial services or merchandise.

10. Warranties and Indemnities 1. You warrant to the Provider that you are entitled and able to grant the rights in the aforementioned scope for the contents posted by you. You warrant especially not to post contents violating copyright, trademark rights or other third party intellectual property rights. Furthermore, you warrant not to post anti-competitive contents. You are obligated to seek information accordingly and, in case of doubts regarding the authorisation, to seek permission of the right-holder. Doubts exist especially, if: 1. it concerns works which are protected under copyright or neighbouring right, such as third party videos, photos, graphics, logos, brands and texts. In this context, it should be noted that you may not alienate or otherwise edit third party works and post the result on the online platform without the consent of the right-holder, 2. a third party contributed to the production of the contents in such a way that they may have acquired a neighbouring right. 3. the contents involve any sensitive information on individual persons or groups of persons, unless the required consent and/or rights of use are at hand. 2. Moreover, you warrant to the provider not to post contents on the online platform which infringe the rights of third parties or the content of which is unlawful or has been declared inadmissible by the Provider.

11. Provider's Liability 1. The Provider's liability for damages not typical to the contract is excluded. This does not apply if the damage concerns life, body or health, was caused intentionally and by gross negligence, results from the absence of warranted properties or from a culpable violation of a major contractual obligation, the fulfilment of which enables the proper implementation of the contract in the first place and the observance of which the contracting party regularly trusts (cardinal duties). Liability according to the Product Liability Act also remains excluded. 2. The provider is not liable for the accuracy, quality, completeness, reliability, type and character or believability of the content uploaded by the users. Such content does not represent the Provider's opinion and in particular the Provider does not endorse such contents. The Provider is also not liable for the formation, implementation and fulfilment of contracts between users. They only provide the platform for the purpose of allocating offers. 3. The Provider is not liable for possible damages and/or misuse of personal data which may arise by your use of a third party app.

12. Your Liability 1. You bear full responsibility for any granting of rights, contributions, contents of your user profile and offers. 2. In case the Provider's services are employed via a third party, because you have breached your obligations regarding the granting of rights, you shall indemnify the Provider completely and at first request against any liability and costs, including potential procedural costs. The Provider will inform you immediately about the claim and give you the opportunity to enter a defence against the claims being asserted as far as this is legally necessary and/or possible. The same applies to claims of third parties because the contents violate third party rights regardless of the authorship, especially rights of use and exploitation under copyright law. 3. You are responsible to the Provider and third parties for your own contributions, commentaries and any user profile contents, especially regarding the accuracy of the contents. If legal proceedings are taken against the Provider by another user or other third parties due to unlawful contributions, commentaries, user profile contents and/or offers, you shall indemnify the Provider from any liability and costs to the aforementioned extent. 4. The use of the online platform via third party apps and similar application programmes shall be at your own risk.

13. Extraordinary contract termination and suspension of the account 1. You and the Provider shall have the right to extraordinary contract termination in the event of good cause without notice at all times. An extraordinary contract termination is especially possible in case of major violations against these TC, violations against the obligation to truthfully submit the required personal data or major violations against the prohibition of posting illegal contents. Furthermore, an extraordinary contract termination shall be considered in case of another good cause, especially in case of the loss of access data or the suspected misuse thereof by a third party. Notice of termination must be given in writing in any event. 2. As a less severe measure, the Provider may suspend you temporarily in case of violations against these TC, in order to urge you to meet your obligations. You will be informed of the suspension in writing. In case of the suspension of the user account or a termination by the Provider for good cause, you are prohibited to re-register on the online platform in order to open a new user account without the prior express consent of the Provider. 3. As an even less severe measure the Provider is entitled to delete such offers violating legal regulations or these TC. In choosing the measures, the Provider will consider your legitimate interests, and in particular, whether you were responsible for the violation.

14. Data protection 1. The collection of your data serves to be able to offer a user friendly, efficient and secure internet service. 2. All information on data protection and data security may be found in our Privacy Policy.

15. Functional changes, transfer of contract 1. The Provider reserves the right to continually adapt, update, extend, restrict, or remove features of the online platform. 2. The Provider shall be entitled to transfer all or part of their rights and obligations arising from this contract to a third party by giving four weeks' notice. In this case you are entitled to an extraordinary termination after notification of the transfer of contract.

17. Dealings with Advertisers 1. Your correspondence or business dealings with, or participation in promotions of, advertisers found on or through the site, including payment and delivery of related goods or services, and any other terms, conditions, warranties or representations associated with such dealings, are solely between you and such advertiser. You agree that Card Game Geek shall not be responsible or liable for any loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of any such dealings or as the result of the presence of such advertisers on the site.

18. Links 1. The site may provide, or third parties may provide, links to other World Wide Web sites or resources. Because Card Game Geek has no control over such sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that Card Game Geek is not responsible for the availability of such external sites or resources, and does not endorse and is not responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources. You further acknowledge and agree that Card Game Geek shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

19. Amendments to the Terms and Conditions 1. The Provider reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. 2. The changes and the new TC will be sent to you by e-mail. The new TC shall be considered as agreed, if you do not object to its applicability within six weeks upon receiving the e-mail. The objection has to be entered in writing. In this e-mail the Provider will inform you separately about your possibility of objection, the time limit, the form and the consequences of your inactivity

20. Final Clause 1. The contractual relationship between you and the Provider as well as these terms of use shall exclusively be subject to the law of the Republic of Italy. The provisions of the Italian private international law are excluded. 2. The mandatory consumer protection regulations applicable in the country where you usually reside shall remain applicable, as long as these offer you extensive protection. 3. If the user is an entrepreneur, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, as defined by the Italian Civil Code, the exclusive place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from the licence agreement and these TC is the Provider's place of business in Bolzano.

  • Silver Bordered Tin Set- a limited edition tin that contains all 363 cards from the Premiere Edition set but have a silver border and is limited to 30,000 tins, with a U.S. distribution of only 20,000 tins. Released in November 1995.

The Premiere Edition set was released in 1994. It was a limited edition black bordered card set of 363 cards. There are 121 common cards, 121 uncommon and 121 rare cards. The Starter Deck has 45 Commons, 13 Uncommons and 2 Rares. Each Expansion Pack has 11 Common, 3 Uncommon and 1 Rare. The size of the set, and the fact one had to get 121 rares (one per pack and two per deck), made it a tough set to collect. Though this product was considered a limited release with initially high prices, the prices came down quite a bit as supply exceeded demand. Some starter decks had interesting combinations in the two rares that were together, like the two Klingon sisters together in one deck and a Riker and a Troi together on another deck (which just adds to the fun, whether intentional or not). One thing that WAS intentional was something called Easter Eggs, hidden surprises in the images for the eagle eyed collector. A gift boxed set was produced with the BB. There were only 250 copies of this set and is therefore very rare. Box contains: Size 9x7x13 cm (H x W x D) 363 Black bordered Limited Premium Edition Card1 Rule book (Identical to the ones included in the starter decks)1 Card (double a card size) with the following text: “This complete set of 363 limited edition cards from Star Trek: The Next Generation Customizable Card Game is one of 250 sets manufactured as gifts for supporters and fans. Please accept this gift with our sincere appreciation for your encouragement, friendship and assistance.”

Shortly after the release of the limited edition, in 1994, a White border alpha edition was released. This set was exactly like the BB set, except for the color of the border. All the statistics and print runs are exactly the same, so in effect, the 1994 alpha set is as rare as the BB set. The intention had been to release both a limited, Black Border set, followed by an unlimited White Border Set, but after this release, they never did any more WB sets, except for Preview/Promo cards. They felt the interest from collectors and gamers wasn’t there to support it. Decipher’s website sells WB uncut sheets are available.

In 1995, a BETA version was released. This allowed Decipher to fix some errors in the text that were on 17 cards. They also changed the copyright date on all the cards. The plan is to reprint the beta cards as many times as was needed to continue to offer the product to collectors.

Adjusted cards:

  • LWAXANNA TROI, WIND DANCER & THE JUGGLER … corrected misspelling of “Lwaxanna” to “Lwaxana”
  • GIUSTI… corrected misspelling of “consol” to “console”
  • DISTORTION FIELD… changed “prevents any beam down here” to “…prevents beam down/up here…”
  • MENDON… added “s” to specialist
  • INVESTIGATE TIME CONTINUUM… corrected misspelling of “Dividia” to “Devidia”
  • TSIOLKOVSKY INFECTION… added “(Not cumulative.)”
  • ARMUS – SKIN OF EVIL… changed lore from “Malevolent being formed when the inhabitants of Vagra II rid themselves of all the evil they have inside.” to “A malevolent being was formed when the inhabitants of Vagra II rid themselves of all the evil they had inside.”
  • TORAL… changed “…bidding of half sisters, Lursa and B’Etor.” to “…bidding of Duras’s sisters, Lursa and B’Etor.”
  • EVACUATION MISSION… changed “Strength” to “STRENGTH”
  • WESLEY CRUSHER… removed apostrophe from “protege” to match style on Ro Laren and Tog personnel cards
  • U.S.S. OBERTH… shifted staff icon to center of art block. T’PAN… added mindmeld skill
  • KHITOMER RESEARCH… changed to both a Romulan and Klingon mission
  • EMERGENCY TRANSPORTER ARMBANDS… changed “Beam Personnel up or down at any time, even during a battle before the winner is determined.” to “Beam your Personnel up or down at any time, except during a dilemma (unless specifically permitted). May be used during battle before the winner is determined.”
  • FIRESTORM… changed “… unless thermal deflectors present. Discard dilemma.” to “…unless thermal deflectors present OR Away Team escapes using emergency transporter armbands. Discard dilemma.

Alternate Universe

Release Date :11/1995 Cards in the Set: 122 Cards per Pack: 15 Packs per Box: 36 Card Images

The first expansion set released by Decipher was the Alternate Universe, with a theme of alternate time lines and universes. This allowed the use of characters and themes from episodes such as All Good Things and Yesterday’s Enterprise. It was released only as an booster/expansion pack. This card set had what is called an ultrarare card; The Future Enterprise!! This card was found in every 122 packs and is three times as rare as any one rare. The Ophidian Cane is printed on the uncommon sheet and appears in an uncommon slot of the pack, but it as rare as any other rare and any pack with the Ophidian Cane actually has two rares.

There were 42,335 of the ultra-rare card printed. Print run for Alternate Universe is 142,294 boxes

Q-Continuum

Release Date: 10/1996 Cards in the Set: 121 Cards per Pack: 15 Packs per Box: 36 Card Images

This 121 Black-border expansion set centers around Q and the Continuum. It allows for some fun Q type antics (Crusher as an Irish Setter) and game play that included the first use of “Station” cards. There are two versions of the Amanda’s Parents card:

  • Version A – Opponents may place that Amanda Rogers…
  • Version B – Opponents may take that Amanda Rogers…

First Contact CCG

Release Date : 12/1997 Cards in the Set : 130 Cards per Pack: 9 Packs per Box: 30 Card Images

This Black-bordered set is based on the movie First Contact and brings in a new villain…the Borg. The First Contact set also offered a chance to collect the main bridge crew again. The Box size changed to 30 packs rather than 36 and cards per pack changed to 9. (1R 3U and 5C). It also introduced the Objective-type card.

Release Date : 7/1998 Cards in the Set : 276 Cards per Pack: 9 Packs per Box: 30 Cards per Deck: 60 Decks per Box:  12

This is the first DS9 set and introduces collectors and gamers to Sisko and crew. There are 276 cards in the set with the DS9 station card being two-sided. The cards include core crew cards and other cards specific to DS9. This set came with a ‘twist’… Decipher kept under wraps the addition of a WB Preview card of the USS Defiant until the day of release. The decks and packs used at gaming shows and such were actually created without the WB Defiant in order to keep the secret until the very day of release. The set introduced the HQ and site cards, as well as the Bajorans and Gamma Quadrant cards.

Dominion CCG

Release Date : 1/20/1999 Cards in the Set : 130 Cards per Pack: 9 Packs per Box: 30 Card Images The Dominion introduces the Dominion affiliation in a 130-card expansion set. Cards from First Contact and TNG also appear in this set. The Defiant card, originally a WB Preview card, appears in this set as a Black-border card. There are four special white-border preview cards. They are 7 of 9, Admiral Riker, Worf, Son of Mogh and Captain Kirk.

Blaze of Glory

Release Date : 8/18/1999 Cards in the Set : 130 Cards per Pack: 9 Packs per Box: 30 Card Images This expansion product centers around battle/warfare personnel, tactics, equipment and objectives. It consists of 130 cards; 50 Rares, 40 Uncommons and 40 Common cards. The 9 card booster packs have 1 Rare, 3 Uncommons, 5 Common cards. The set blends cards from TNG, DS9 and Voyager. It also introduces the Tactic-type cards. This set also features 18 foil cards, the first of their kind from Decipher. The foils are no different than the cards in the regular card except for a light foil effect on the front. In some cases, the foil effect can go unnoticed in certain light, so sort in a brightly lit room?! The rarity of the foils is as follows: VRF = Very Rare Foil (1:106) SRF = Super-Rare Foil (1:225) URF = Ultra-Rare Foil (1:450) Foil cards appear in approximately 1:9 Blaze of Glory expansion packs.

Rules of Acquisition

Release Date : 12/1/1999 Cards in the Set : 130 Cards per Pack: 9 Packs per Box: 30 Card Images This installment from Decipher adds a new race to the Trek gaming universe, Ferengi! It adds new tactics and missions as only a Ferengi could appreciate. This 130 card set has 50 rares, 40 commons and 40 uncommons. Unlike the last few sets, there are no foils or preview cards.

Trouble With Tribbles

Release Date : 8/9/2000 Cards in the Set : 141 Cards per Pack: 11 Packs per Box: 30 Cards per Deck: 60 Decks per Box:  12 Card Images

Finally, a TOS set! Up until recently, the license for the first seven movies and TOS was with SkyBox and Decipher couldn’t use those characters (unless they appeared in one of the series Decipher did have). Now, all Trek was with Decipher and to celebrate they released the Trouble With Tribbles CCG. This series of cards feature TOS and DS9 characters, places and things (Tribbles!) found on TOS Trouble With Tribbles and Trials and Tribulations. It included an ultra-rare, Dr. McCoy, found in about one in every 121 packs. Some rares (R+) are 33% more rare than other rares. He was selected as the UR as a tribute to the actor’s death the year before. The cards came as either booster packs or one of two pre constructed starter decks; a Federation and Klingon deck, with two exclusive cards, Sisko and Koloth. As a surprise, many of the cards in the starter decks had Tribbles added by Decipher in the scene, some easy to find, some not. Cards include printed card number and rarity

Tribbles Stand Alone Game

After the release of TWT, a stand-alone Tribbles Game, called “Tribbles” was released. The game contains 112 Tribble cards, 8 reference cards, a Tribble pad of paper and a Decipher pencil. The cards are similar to cards found in the CCG set except for a small icon in the text box on the front of the card.

Reflections

Release Date : 10/2000 Cards in the Set : 105 Cards per Pack: 18 Packs per Box: 30 Foil cards 1:1 Card Images

Released in Sept. 2000, this set takes a look back at the most popular of all the past CCG cards. A pack has 18 cards. One is a foil card and can be one of three rarities, Very Rare, Super Rare and Ultra-rare. The other 17 cards are random, they can be a mix of commons, uncommon and rares from the Premiere set through Dominion, including WB Preview cards and EFC premiums. The foils cards are some of the most popular cards with an added foil effect, like the Future Enterprise, or Picard from the first set. There was one case topper of 7 of 9 and 4 box toppers (100,000 Tribbles (Clone), Admiral Riker, Dr. Telek R’Mor and Gowron of Borg). From a collector perspective, this set caused problems. First of all, the addition of Future Enterprises, WB Previews and EFC premiums greatly diminished the value of the cards collectors already had in their collections. Future Enterprises, which had held a value of $50 for many years could be picked up for $15. The games are, of course, pleased at the infusion of more *good cards*, but for a company who says they are marketing to collectors as well, this is more of a negative then a positive. Cards have a copyright date of 2000.

Mirror, Mirror

Release Date : 12/6/2000 Cards in the Set : 131 Cards per Pack: 11 Packs per Box: 30 Card Images

Released in December 2000, this set is based on episodes featuring the Mirror Universe first explored in TOS and then again in DS9. Decipher made the set `heavy” on personnel. It also introduces two new deck types- Terran Empire and Klingon/Cardassian Alliance. They are sold in booster packs only. As in The Trouble With Tribbles, rarity and card number is designated on each card in the lower right in very small print. Also like Trouble with Tribbles, there are two types of rares…with a certain category of rares (R+) being 33% more rare than other rares. The set includes cards from TOS and DS9 mainly, with a few from Voyager.
