Hatgadh Fort is located on the fringe of Gujarat and Maharashtra, at a distance of about 5 km from Saputara. Attributing to its location at an altitude of approximately 3,600 ft, the only way to reach the fort is by taking an easy trekking route and it is one of the best places to visit in Saputara. Located in Mulher in the district of Nasik, this ancient fort is stationed at the Sahyadri Range. You can witness the reservoirs of Ganga and Jamuna can be found, which act as a source of water for the villages located in the vicinity. Purna Sanctuary

Saputara Ropeway
The most famous attraction in the mountainous town of Saputara is the cable car trip. Since its construction in the late 1900s, it has provided tourists with an exciting journey over the Sahyadris.
You can ride from Saputara’s Sunset Point to Sunrise Point. It takes only 5–6 minutes one way and offers breathtaking views of Saputara Lake and the winding Sahyadri roads on either side.
Right after a rain, when the hills are lush and green, there is a light mist in the air, and wildflowers are in bloom, the journey is extremely pleasant. at the conclusion of a trip on the ropeway, enjoying a hot bowl of Maggi or a cup of chai.
There are three sets of cable cars, with three vehicles in each set. The red, yellow, and green painted cars resemble floating confetti in the sky. The vehicles are compact and hold up to four passengers.

Saputara, meaning ‘abode of serpents’, is a small hill station that sits nestled in the folds of the Sahyadris or the Western Ghats. A part of the Dang district in Gujarat, this tourist hill station has pleasant climate all year around. However, the best time to visit Saputara is winter, between December and February. The only hill station in Gujarat, located at an altitude of 1000 metres above sea level, it is surprisingly still unspoiled and not as commercialised as one would expect.

Purna Wildlife Sanctuary
A famous wildlife sanctuary nestled in the western ghats of Gujarat, it is located within a dense forest and spread over 160.8 km of area. The sanctuary was established in July 1990 and serves as a home to several wild animals like elephants, bears, rhinos, and wild bulls. Further, its dense forest comprises bamboo clusters, teak trees along with 700 other species of plants and trees.
Best time to visit: The best time to visit the Purna wildlife sanctuary is during the early winters when the Purna river and rivulets are full of freshwater. It is open for visitors from 6:00 am to 5:30 pm with a minimal entry fee of Rs 20 per head.
Rose Garden
Saputara rose garden is one of the popular tourist attractions of the charming hill station. It houses a variety of roses in different shapes, sizes, and colours along with other colourful flowers that attract nature lovers on their vacation in Gujarat. The garden is a part of the three beautiful Saputara gardens, the other two being the Step Garden and the Lake Garden.

Table Point
One of Saputara hill station’s many tourist attractions to discover, the Table Point or the Table View Point offers breathtaking views of the hill station and the surrounding mountains. As the name suggests, it is a plateau-like surface atop the Gandhi Peak that makes a perfect place for a picnic, camping, and sightseeing in Saputara. Besides, visitors can engage in adventure activities like camel riding, horse riding, trekking, mountain biking and zip-lining.

Pandava Caves
The famous cave site of Saputara hill station also known as the Arvalem Caves. As one of the top ancient places in Gujarat, it attracts both globetrotters and history buffs from different parts of the country. Locals believe that the Pandavas from the epic Mahabharat spent some time at this site during their exile. The cave is about 60 m long and 15 m wide. It also houses a Shivalinga that is believed to be used by the Pandavas to offer prayers to the lord, thereby increasing its historic significance.

Waghai Botanical Garden
Last on the list of places to visit in Saputara hill station is the beautiful Waghai Botanical Garden. Spread over 24 hectares of land, it is among the largest gardens in Gujarat that houses innumerable plant species. About 270 trees, 50 shrubs, 29 fruit trees, 119 medicinal plants, 28 tuberous plants, 82 ornamental plants and 89 cacti & succulents make this place an attractive destination for nature lovers. Further, the garden also organises educational tours for school and college students.
Best time to visit: Waghai botanical garden is open for visitors from 8:00 am to 6:30 pm on all days except Tuesdays. There is an entry fee of Rs 5 per head for students, Rs 10 per head for children between 6 - 15 years and Rs 20 per head for those above the age of 15.
